Two trainers and their pokemon stand in the Song Forest, an ancient wood through which a haunting melody plays, the song of the old ones that threatens to whisk you away into a dreamland. As the challenger, Emerald Gen releases his first pokemon, a shiny Chimchar with the gender confusing name of Curious George. Ayeun releases her own tiny pokemon, a Happiny called Joy. The two trainers take a step back and issue commands, and the battle starts.
George is quick off the mark, his flame shrinking as she channels fuel into a large burst of fire. The red and orange embers surge across the forest floor, but they are suddenly split open by a pulse of water. Joy dances gleefully as the water washes aside the fire and splashes over her simian foe. Thanks to her serene grace, Joy has been lucky on the first turn, as the added sonic pulse in the attack has left George's mind addled and confused.

George shakes off the water and advances on her opponent. Joy moves forward at the same time, but whilst she runs at George in a straight line, the agile little monkey hops from tree to rot, up to the canopy, misses the branch, falls to the ground, bounces off the floor and lands on Joy. Joy eats dirt and grumbles, pulling herself out form under her foe, then delivering a strong headbutt to her delusional enemy.

Both in close quarters now, George makes a high pitched noise and rolls into a ball. A burst of flame surrounds her and she starts to spin. Joy yelps and jumps backwards. She reaches out with her mind and finds an aura of her spinning enemy getting closer and closer and WHAM! Joy takes a tumble as she is struck by her foe. She grumbles and reaches back out, stopping George mid spin, plucking her off the ground and slamming her against a tree.
