Yeppers, it's time! Yet another tournament is upon us and we've got two eager battlers ready to bust some teeth. Veteran Wolfsong is here to take on kind-of-a-newbie-but-also-not-really-one-anymore BTPoke for total supremacy. Alrighty! Let's cut the preamble short and allow the league-condoned violence to begin!
Stella begins by grimacing in an Intimidating manner, which puts Cicero on edge. The Salamence lets the momentum keep on building as she flaps her wings and kicks up an eerie purple gale. Cicero, meanwhile, braces himself against the harsh gusts before throwing up a gleaming barrier of golden light. La. He'll be ready should that winged gator lady try any ranged shenanigans again.
Stella: <-4 EP>
Cicero: <-6 HP; -4 EP; -1 Att; LSn>
Stella breaks into a running sprint before throwing all of her bulk onto poor Cicero. Pinned beneath the massive Dragon, Cicero only barely manages to wiggle free before punishing Stella in the worst way possible: with a Blizzard! Uh-oh. Winter is coming. Surges of snow and ice pile into the arena and create a sizeable drift right where Stella is standing. You can hear Stella growling. She seems to prefer warmer climes, I guess.
Stella: <-24 HP; -7 EP>
Cicero: <-9 HP; -10 EP>
Stella decides to revert to the ol' Ominous Wind strategy. She kicks up another purplish gust, but as the wind filters through Cicero's Light Screen it seems to be somewhat depleted. Thus, Cicero doesn't take quite as much damage but he watches with dismay as stat boosts aplenty begin to give new energy to his opponent. What the frak! He uses an Ominous Wind of his own in hopes of acquiring similar boosts, but alas, it just wasn't meant to be. The Dragonite frowns. Better luck next time?

Cicero: <-3 HP; -4 EP>

Let's go in for a nice thunderbolt, then Iron Tail, then Thunderbolt again!
Safeguard at their first instance of using status effects.
Use roost at the first instance of them using a stat-boosting move
Okay Stella, start with brick break to get rid of that light screen. Follow that up wtih dragon rush and finish with another ominous wind

‡ Round 2 ‡
Sick of that pesky Light Screen, Stella swoops toward it and braces herself for impact. She smashes through the barrier and reduces it to shards of light; what's more, her body keeps going and she collides with Cicero to do light damage. Cicero responds by wrapping his opponent in a bear-hug and cutting loose with an electric blast. That's the sort of affection I could personally do without.
Stella: <-9 HP; -6 EP>
Cicero: <-5 HP; -8 EP; LSn no more>
Stella wrestles herself out of Cicero's supercharged hug before ramming him down yet again, this time with considerably more force. For a second, it looks as if Cicero might be incapacitated from that hit but his Inner Focus keeps his concentration from breaking. With great dexterity, Cicero swivels about on the ground and catches Stella off-guard with a quick swipe of his silvery tail. Stella tumbles to the ground and begins bellowing loudly. This broad doesn't take too kindly to Iron Tails.
Stella: <-8 HP; -8 EP>
Cicero: <-18 HP; -8 EP>
Stella pulls herself up and begins beating her wings with tremendous force. Right on cue, gale-force winds once again stir within the battlefield and blast Cicero against the stadium wall. Popping and crackling with electricity, Cicero responds with a second discharge that sizzles Stella nicely. We have one medium rare Salamence on our hands.
This is gonna be a tight one.
Stella: <-9 HP; -4 EP>
Cicero: <-7 HP; -8 EP>

Stella, Body slam, zen headbutt, ominous wind. Protect if he uses any ice moves and mimic if he uses roost.
Am I right to believe that the Super effective move counter only goes up if the move hits?
Yes

Time to rip a plan from a previous experience.
So, protect against any ice moves, huh?

‡ Round 3 ‡
Stella prepares to launch into another Body Slam. She tears off in a swift gallop but then comes to a screeching halt when she realizes that Cicero is calling up another evil Blizzard. Tricksy little so-and-so. Reacting quickly, Stella clothes herself in a parka of Protective energy, which blocks out the entirety of the cold snap. Looks like it pays to bundle up.
Stella: <-8 EP>
Cicero: <-10 EP>
Stella's defensive measures drop and she prepares for another physical strike. However, right on cue, Cicero summons another Blizzard. Ready as ever, Stella envelops herself in a Protect and watches from safety as the ice storm billows around her. The cold begins to drive cracks through the barrier. This can't be good?
Stella: <-8 EP>
Cicero: <-10 EP>
Looks like we have another Blizzard on our hands. Rolling her eyes, Stella erects another Protective barrier... but it looks like she's tried this tactic one time too many. The shield shatters to pieces as swells of cold surge toward her. When the snow clears, Cicero finds himself staring at a Salamencicle. He throws up his arms and jumps for joy.

HAHA! Got a freeze in there, too! Amazing, simply amazing!
Let's finish this girl off with a Blizzard. If that don't finish them off for whatever reason, then use thunderbolt twice.

Things aren't looking good for Stella, but she doesn't seem ready to throw in the towel just yet. (Not that she's in any condition to be throwing anything at all, but, um, let's just continue.) Suddenly, the Salamence erupts with a crackling ideogram of flames which makes quick work of the ice before continuing its trajectory toward Cicero. The weakened Fire Blast bursts against the Dragonite, doing mild damage, but Stella ain't finished just yet. The sky turns purple as a screaming meteor descends from the heavens. It bursts against Cicero, wounding him greatly, but he wiggles free and seems to have a bit of juice left in his tank. He kicks up a Blizzard which brings Stella within a hairsbreadth of defeat.
Stella: <-20 HP; -26 EP; Frz no more; -2 SpA; Endured>
Cicero: <-29 HP; -10 EP>
This is it. Cicero hisses and crackles with some heavy voltage and brings Stella down with one last triumphant Thunderbolt. The Salamence keels over in defeat.

That's that! Alas, if only you had used Protect instead of Endure, Wolfsong, you would have made it through the round. Since points are doubled for tournament battles, BTPoke and I get four shiny points each while Wolfsong takes home two. Good luck in the next round, BTPoke! Oslo out.
*disappears in a puff of moist towelettes*
The hell? BTPoke with the upset! ZOMG, THIS CHANGES EVERYTHING!!
"I'm coming for you, Cynder! And I will win!" >:3
*pulls out a silver cloak*
"Shroud of shadows!"
*Puts on cloak and disappears*
