Some pretty cool news!

Hey guys,

So I know I'm pretty quiet on here nowadays, but my work as a writer is really taking up most my time. I'm trying to be more prompt with my fic, but you know how it is.

Anyway something that might be of interest to TPM guys is that I've started writing some articles for Official Nintendo Magazine! My first is on the weirdest spinoff games in the Pokemon franchise, which you can view here: http://www.officialnintendomagazine....pokemon-games/

I've not done a great deal of gaming journalism, mainly because it was such a self-contained interest - it never crossed my mind. But I'm thrilled to be writing for ONM - specifically on a subject so close to my heart.

Congrats, man! I just read your first article... pretty cool stuff. I never knew about a few of those titles, so I'm kind of impressed by your obscure Pokemon knowledge right now.

Out of sheer curiosity, did I manage to miss a major part of the Pokemon TCG video game? (Or was the image from a fan translation of TCG2?) Because I have no recollection whatsoever of that scene from the first page of the article, and the four-Magikarp deck that actually sounds like a fun challenge to undertake. Or endure. Whatever your fancy may be.

In any case, well done, Chris! I'll have to keep following your articles in the future. Whilst I manage my own writing (of the dissertation variety), that is.

I will be doing all sorts of stuff, mainly features as opposed to news though. But since I know Pokemon better than a lot of the staff I imagine they'll be roping me in to do all sorts of stuff relating to that.
