Long-Overdue Battle of Epicness! Ayeun vs. BTPoke! [Ref: Darkest-of-luls]

In light of my(plus Cynder's) recent win in the dragon battle, I do believe that I have a slot open, so it's time to respond to a challenge I have accepted.

When did I accept it? JUST NOW!

Ayeun, since you issued the challenge, I'll give you the honors of laying down the rules

Lets go. 3 v 3...

Umm. Indigo stadium. No special rules. Just an all out duel. Oh. NO damage cap!

I'll start with my Beautifly.

A beautifly, eh? You know, I've always wanted to see a matchup between beautifly and
BUTTERFREE!

I'm sending out Fluttershyby, my male butterfree w/ @Tinted Glasses.


Alright, Flutterby, start things out with a safeguard.

Then shoot an electroweb, just to wake 'em up a bit.

Then finish with a Bug Buzz.

Grab yourself a Tailwind, and then Harden up! Finish off with an Air cutter!

Here we are, staring at the field that countless battles have been waged on. Champions were made here, and records shattered. Here today, we'll witness two Trainers giving it their all in a new rivalry!

They both start with bug fliers, in order to test their mettle against each other.Ayeun and Beautifly vs BT and Butterfree. Flutterby starts off by spinning in the sky, creating a shimmering force that falls upon itself. Beautifly opts for a speedier route, creating a tailwind to set up for a speedy win.

Be: -3E +Spd ~~~ Fl: -5E
SG: 7 act, Tailwind: 4 act.

The speedy beautifly spins around and starts a series of flexes to try and deal with the sparking web coming her way. Electrowebbing clings to the fragile bug's body and give a hell of a shock. It even manages to slow her down a bit.

Be: -2E/-8H -Spd +Def~~~ Fl: -4E

Flutter continues the barrage with a sonic attack, trying to disorient Beautifly. Too bad bugs kind deal with other bugs all the damn time, so that sound wasn't too bad, But the slicing flaps of air that struck Flutter? That was a painful slap of reality.

This aerial battle of the butterflies has only begun.

Use Quiver Dance to psyche yourself up.
We don't need to inflict status conditions to win this, so no prob.

Let loose an Air Cutter, and try your best to dodge their own air cutter.

Finally, as they come in for their aerial ace, shoot an Electro Web, and try to duck out of the way to at least avoid most of the damage from the attack.

Beautifly, taking a number from its opponent, creates a mystical veil around herself. Flutter takes a moment, and flaps its wings while twirling in the air.

...This has turned into a "Who's butterfly is more pretty?" Contest.

Be: -4E SG: 5 act. ~~~ Fl: -3E +SpA/D/Spd

And the slapflapping begins, with them hitting each other with air. Both try to fly and aim at the same time, but it turns into a mess of Air cutters hitting all over the place. Both Pokemon end up hitting the ground from the mess of the air currents they just accomplished.

Be: -4E/-11H ~~~ Fl: -4E/-9H

Both Flutter and Beaut thrust themselves back into the air, Beaut charges forward, moving quick enough to fly right into the charged web of hate Flutter created specifically for that purpose. Too bad the Aceing strike kept moving forward.

Flutter flew backwards, breathing heavily. Yeah, that strike was something else!

Start the round out with an Ominous Wind, and hope for some stat boosts. Next, use Air Cutter to do some damage.

Finally, renew that Safeguard.

If she ever uses self-targeting moves and stat boosters, use Quiver Dance.

Festivities over, DL's back to reffing for the 2 hours he sees he has procured. The winds seem to have changed direction for Beaut, as it flaps hard to swing down and blitz Flutter across the chest. The strike finally connects, but not after being blown back more than enough times.

Be: -3E/-10H ~~~ Fl: -8E/-8H

The safeguard begins to crackle and fade around Beaut, as Flutter notices. To help it along, Flutter flings a second Air Cutter at Beaut, knocking her back. Beaut responds with an explosion of energy so great that Flutter is completely engulfed! That suuuucks!

Beaut lands, and takes the time to breathe as Flutter is nowhere to be seen for the moment.

Be: -12E/-9H ~~~ Fl: -4E/-16H

Oh but Beaut should know that there is no rest for the wicked. Before she even gets hope of a silent reprieve, Flutter comes falling from the heavens! But instead of attacking, Flutter refreshes its own Safeguard, just as Flutters ends!

This flutter fight has lasted long enough. BT calls in the reserves, swapping his flier out for a more stationary fighter. Ay watches as her Beautifly speeds to create a barrier for herself. Meanwhile, the new fighter on the bricks is Demonic Poopface. Why would you name it Demonic Poopface. Is that code for Angry Shithead? I'm just sayin'

The Safeguard though, is gonna be rather useless. Stool slides over and somehow melts though her barrier with some sort of ghost mumbo jumbo as she comes in for the swipe. The slash stings, but I think the burning embers that alighted her wings hurt her even more.

Burning was never awesome. Ever. Beautifly is strictly confused. As she tries to figure out what happened, a second hazard is tossed by Demonic into the mix. Beautifly goes for a second strike but now has to deal with confounding lights and ALL SORTS OF WEIRD!

Well now. Demonic tries to dominate the match. With Beautifly flying a bit erratically, the 'Tomb has time to well up enough energy to fire off a crackling bolt of debilitating electricity. It's enough to cause Beautifly some harm, as the bug flies in circles. (-1)

Be: -10E ~~~ DS: -5E

Demonic grinned. Beautifly landed in order to regain it's bearings, and therefore was a sitting duck to the winds blown in its general direction. Strong as they were, Beaut fought back, linking mentally with Demonic and siphoning health back. (-1)

Be: -8E/-13H/+5H ~~~ DS: -7E/-10H

Beaut fluttered around a bit more, clearing her head finally as a strong updraft threw her back into the realm of the sky. Beaut regained her flight balance and released her anguish in a masterfiul harmony of annoyance. DS shivered, that felt really weird.(-1)

And like that, all protective barriers are gone.

Well.... Frack!

Aerial Ace ~ Acrobatics ~ Gigadrain

Start out by standing your ground. Use Dark Pulse directly at its face!

Next, before she can even think of hitting you with Acrobatics, use Smokescreen to shroud the arena in smoke! You're a ghost, you shouldn't be too bothered by it x3

Finally, use Ominous Wind! Also try to use that wind to blow the smoke directly at her face

Trying to create some measure of remembrance to Demonic, Beaut flew down at a shocking speed, only to meet darkness head on. Her hit connected, but she was welcomed by a wave of energy that seemed to darken her very soul. (-1)

Swinging back around to regain her aerial balance, Beaut tried to cyclone down atop of Demonic. The phantom was ready and began to burp up a dark Smokescreen to try and deter the butterfly. However...that failed, and Demonic was struck with a flurry of proboscis whips and wingflaps. (-1)

Now that it was dark, it made Tomb hard to see. Beaut flew in a large circle, trying to discern where that ghost was hiding. Well, Demonic didn't really think it through, as it caused a wind to blow Beaut away. The smoke followed, and by the end of it all, Beaut could spy her target! (-1)

One mental linkup later, and survival was imminent for a little longer! As in 3 seconds, as she falls, not siphoning enough help to offset that last boon of a strike from D.S

Down one, Ayeun goes to change this with the releasing of a Normal type. That strategy might work, as Demonic goes for a chilling wind-hoping for more benefits. The wind bugs the cat, but Glameow growls and then locks eyes with the spectre. The waving tail and the twitchig fur and the rocking rhythm of the head..yeah it was a triple combo that knocked Demonic right out.

Sleeping soundly, Gla didn't really have to vanish. So she kinda did, halfheartedly. The strike was still powerful but She really kinda wanted that ghost to fall over.

DS was still asleep, and Gla took no more solace in her enemy sleeping. She wanted it gone and she now picked it up. A Thunderbolt rained down onto the Stool sample with no prejudice, and tat ...that STILL didn't wake it up. Sucka...

Glameow groans and watches as her target rocks back and forth with little to none imagination. So, it was pretty simple to fire off a Thunderbolt and shock it a tad. No movement from DS.

Gl: -8E ~~~ DS: -4E/-9H +2SpA

Gla meowed, not feeling challenger. A second thunderbolt fired off gave DS a second good jolt, but it still stayed asleep. But this time DS shifted and fired off a Pulse of energy. The blast knocked Glameow back enough for her to realize....sleeping targets are still dangerous.

Gl: -8E/-15H ~~~ DS: -4E/-9H

Glameow shook off the strength of the hit, and watched as Demonic finally stirred. With the phantom awake, Glameow moved fast, and vanished. Demonic looked around, to try and link up with it, but only found itself with a faceful of padded feet and claws. The phantom groaned, but fell over.

Glameow walked over to tap the keystone, only to feel its body grow weaker. The rapid rate of transfer was dizzying, and by its end Glameow felt heavily drained

oh, that went way better than expected.

Glameow knows that now the battle has turned for the worst, and she needs to turn this around awfully fast. So, without any more fear or hesitation, she crackles up a Thunderbolt and lets it loose. Almost at the same speed, DS blasts forth a Pulse of dank energy that floors the kitten as it's being shocked alive.

Gl: -8E/-15H ~~~ DS: -6E/-9H

A second strike, and DS watches as Glameow...vanishes before the pulse strikes? Looking around, DS is none too pleased when its ethereal head is slammed into the ground. Damned cats!

Gl: -6E ~~~ DS: -6E/-7H

Anything to keep alive! Glameow whirls around and sparks off! DS doesn't quit, blasting off another huge swath of energy rather easily. The Thunderbolt arcs high and rains on the spirit, while the Dark Pulse batters the already weakened Glameow

Both running on fumes, each Pokemon rallies the strength to try and upset the other. D.S. releases a flash of power, that ripples out and seems to hover in negative space, just as Glameow returns from the depths of darkness and smashes into him. The shockwave returns and slams into the cat, knocking her down.
