    Default Another Team From Me

...Only, this time, you get to rate a TSS team! I'm sure happiness and joy will be ubiquitous.

    Skarmory@Bright Powder
    Spikes
    Toxic
    Drill Peck
    Roar

    Spiker/Pseudo-Hazer/Toxi-Shuffler. He's pretty versatile.

    Sandslash@Leftovers
    Sandstorm/Toxic
    Double Team
    Sand Tomb
    Earthquake/Crush Claw/Rock Slide

    Trapper.

    Golduck@Shell Bell
    Calm Mind
    Psychic
    Surf
    Ice Beam

Special Sweeper. Cloud Nine protects him from Sandstorm.

    Armaldo@Shell Bell
    Swords Dance
    Ancient Power
    Aerial Ace
    Brick Break

    Sweeper.

    Claydol@Chesto Berry
    Cosmic Power
    Rest
    Light Screen
    Earthquake

    Tank.

    Magneton@Bright Powder
    Reflect
    Thunderbolt
    Thunder Wave
    Protect

Magnet Pull ability -- he whacks those pesky Skarmories without effort, and also provides the team's only electric attack, as well as pseudo-passing Reflect. Protect is used on the first turn he's sent out to prevent unexpected Earthquakes from demolishing him.

    All comments/advice appreciated!

    I like TSS teams.

Cacturne: I definitely think Needle Arm is better than giga drain. You need the PP too, 5 is not enough when it's your only attack.

Sandslash: You don't need Sand Tomb. You already have a ground move and sand tomb sucks. Either go

    Sandstorm
    Toxic
    Earthquake
    Double Team

Or replace either sandstorm or toxic with a physical attack like return/slash/brick break or something.

    Golduck: Looks fine.

Armaldo: Maybe rock slide over ancient power.

    Claydol: Maybe

    Lightscreen
    Sandstorm
    Toxic
    Earthquake

Or Rest in place of SS or Toxic, probably whichever you didn't give to Sandslash.

Magneton: A lot of people use Metal Sound to make his sp. attacks do more damage. Put it over protect.

You have a 3 pokemon weak to ice, 3 pokemon weak to water, and 3 pokemon weak to grass. You definitely need something for that which is why light screen would help. I think Claydol could go because he's weak to ice, water, grass, bug, ghost, and dark. I also think you need another spiker. Skarmory would go well in Claydol's place. You'd have a 3x weakness to fire, but one 3x weakness is better than 3. ::shrug:: You need to do something aobut the 3x ice, water, grass weakness though.

Your team has no hazer or pseudo hazer. And all but 1 of your pokes can recover from status elements. Good idea and I like the use of golduck, but its still lacking.

I'm going to make some changes to the team to fix my weakness and status ailment problems, thanks for the advice, both of you.

As for Sand Tomb on Sandslash -- I use it not to attack, but to trap. This allows Toxic to deal several rounds worth of damage.

If that's still a bad idea, let me know, and I'll get rid of Sandslash entirely -- he's mostly there to Trap, Evade, and deal a bit of damage along the way.
