Any character(s) you like from the Pokemon games?

I know it's hard to get emotionally involved with characters from the Pokemon games, since they might as well be made of cardboard, but is there any particular character you like for some reason?

Personally, I like Shauntal. She's a writer (and she's creative in other ways too, since she designed her own scarf), she's responsible (you can often find her relaxing at Caitlin's villa, but even then if you go to challenge the Elite 4 right away she'll be there and ready for battle), and she gives you a different quote from her books every time you challenge her! That almost makes her feel as if some thought had been put into her programming, unlike almost every other character.

I also like Cheren and Bianca because you can see their chatacter development throughout the games, and it's not quite as forces as with other rivals, although once the plot is over they're stuck repeating the same phrases again and again, like most other characters.

Funny how all my favorite characters are from Gen 5, although I did skip generations 3 and 4, so there may be some interesting characters I'm missing... Cynthia seems like she might have some depth. Does she?

If I have to pick a character from any other generation, I'd say Koga because of his battling techniques (it was nice to see he got promoted in Gen 2) and because you get to meet his daughter after you battle him (assuming you play the games in order).

Of course, Gary Oak is the best! Blue, on the other hand, not so much. Even after he became Gym Leader, all he did was complain. He did learn some French when he visited Kalos, but that's as far as his character development goes.

I liked Zinnia. I thought she was pretty cool. I don't typically find many of the NPCs to be memorable, as they get so little text.

I do enjoy that random Team Rocket scientist who's like "You sent me to TISKA COUNTRY! NO MAN LAND IN SOVIET RUSSIA" or whatever

I really liked Zinnia, mainly cause she reminds me so much of.... well... me. She's outwardly cheerful and quirky but has quite a bit of inner turmoil.
I also really like Blue, but more for his role in the Manga rather than the games. He starts out as fairly aloof, being Oak's grandson, but because of Red, Green and Yellow (and Koga to a lesser extent) he becomes a team player and a brilliant teacher.
Most Gym Leaders have a place in my heart for being the obstacles to overcome, and for their wise words at various points in the stories. My favourite gym leaders are Brycen, Cheren (B2W2) Maylene, Roxie and Clair.

Long time no see Gary Oak! Nice to see you alive, there have been a lot of disasters around the Pokemon world! I don't know where N is because I didn't play B2/W2, and then there's Team Flare.

I'll also have to mention Attila (Buson) and Hun (Bashoo) from the Raikou Special. They are the best Team Rocket members out there. Speaking of Ikaguchi no Densetsu, Vincent (Jun'ichi) had my symphaties.
