Well, I have no idea what da lyrics are. THE lyrics, yeah, I have a fair idea, but not DA lyrics...
But I wouldn't trust everything is right, it's been ages since I've sung along and I probably couldn't do a very good job without the singers singing at the same time.

Mmmm, I'm pretty sure it's NOT "I want to be the very best there was", but "I want to be the best there ever was"...pretty small point, but I'm dead positive it isn't the first one. It doesn't fit in with the tune, unless it goes "I want to be the ve-ry best there was", which doesn't fit as well as "I want to be the best - there ever was", with "ve" and "best" falling on the same beat.
