First Post in Forum... I'm nervous

I finally got the guts to put up my Mandor drawing. I hope you like it.

In case you didn't know, the Mandor Gundam, featured in G Gundam, is the representative of Neo-Nepal. An official picture of it can be found here.

Better than I could have done. But it needs improvement. First you might want to rotate it in a program. Second, I can't tell from the official pic, but what is the stuff at the head. Then, the turrets or whatever they are on the top of the "skirt." The arms have a ball shape to most of them, yet these don't are just all over. In other words, it looks like you rushed it. Ovals, circles. diamonds,etc. Try to make them all circles. Yes there are a lot of them, put you are trying to do the best work you can. Rushing it won't help. Lastly, there are the lines. Again, it looks like you rushed. Try to make them straight by using a ruler or a straight edge. Just don't rush and that's all I have to say.

Your drawing is very well done. I agree with Thy on the rotation part. Its hard to look at your drawing when it is turned sideways. If you don't know how to rotate a picture, feel free to ask someone here and I'm sure you'll get an answer. I'm not as picky as Thy is on the circle part, I think they look great. I think all you need to do is keep on drawing this character until you can draw it perfect. Then you can work on coloring and shading it. Once you get that down, you'll be a pro at drawing this guy. =) Keep up the great work and keep on posting here, we won't bite!

Tis cool 8) it looks like it could use just a wee bit of clean up, and it's positively screaming to be colored. Yes...I would very much like to see it in color...do you do any other action figures?

Oh yes, and you can rotate things like that in Adobe Photoshop, I don't know if you have it, though.

Alright, here it is in color (and right-side up! Yay!). The reason I didn't color it is that I usually stink at it. Thanks for your suggestions- I tried to clean them up (i.e, the last red ball to the left). Yeah, the color is not the same as the official pic because I drew off of the action figure. And yes, I do draw other action figures, but it's mostly Gundams, and depends on which figures I have with me.

And, the stuff at the head is... well, I think it's a decorative item that resembles a winter head thing (a mask, perhaps?).

Ahh, much better. It looks good, even though the striped paper does take away from the over all effect a bit.

I think you ought to try doing some shading on your next drawing, it's fairly easy and makes the picture look a lot more realistic. Anyway, keem 'em coming!
