Wow...great episode! Treecko's voice is still severly irking me. It's too high and light...I liked the deep sounding "Kyamou" voice it had in the original version. It really made it seem cooler. The high voice doesn't suit it's rebellious nature and determination to train for Seviper. I'm surprised the thing was able to break a boulder with it's tail. Seviper's voice is awesome. It sounds very similar to the Japanese one, and it even kept that "Bbbrbt" sound! This has also got to be the only episode that actually called the thing a rice ball. Jessie's wrath on Seviper was brutal, but awesome! I'm glad she caught it. It's like a replacement for Arbok, only I like Seviper better. Cacnea would be a replacement for Victreebel, but Cacnea likes hugging instead of eating. Riiight. Anyways, great episode. I rate it a 9/10. I want to see more of Seviper!

I also noticed that they kept the BG Music during the Treecko vs. Seviper for the second time. It's also the music in which japanese AG previews have o.o I was really happy to hear that =D

I thought it was a really good episode, too bad I can't really say that much about the next one...e.e

Anyways, I really liked this episode and give it a 9/10

Heh, I LUUUVVV Seviper. HE's awesome.

THe next Episode with the Shroomish was nothing special, except now they used the Regi music, which sounded cool.

I also liked how Jesse OWNED Seviper...and her hair grew back in about two minutes. Amusing.

Heh, I loved this episode. Even the dub wasn't bad, and they kept that remix of AG when Treecko was battleing Seviper. *ahem*
First things first, Seviper's japanese voice was used an awful lot during this episode. Seriously, every time it didn't actually say 'Seviper' it was just pure Habuneeku through and through. They even kept the little 'bu!' noises Habuneeku makes and that really surprised me. Heh, can't wait to see it come out of its pokéball in another ep so it can 'bu' that little tune it always does
Anyways, original content aside, this was a great episode. Already they are expanding on Treecko's rebelious attitude and Torchic's less than intelligent escapades (was it choking on grapes there?).
The little mini-battle with Ash-tachi's pokémon and Seviper was pretty good, and shows of Seviper's strength.
Meh, TR were the heart of this episode though, with their..um..pathetic capture manuevors. But, by far the best scene is Jessie beating the proverbial crap out of the poor snake. Thats the first time I've laughed that loud at a pokémon ep for a long time XD And the expression on James and Meowth's faces were just priceless...all that terror sweat
More of Treecko's rebel side when it abandoned its bandages and took to training. I thought that was pretty admirable...reckless, but admirable none-the-less
    9/10 *shrugs*

    Indeed an intresting episode
I was laughing hard when Seviper bit off her hair (but I dunno why she got so angry when it grew back in a matter of minutes =P) but anyways, Jessie beating the crap out of seviper......lmao funny :> Even my brother, who btw despises pokemon now, and the anime was laughing

Its weird, I'm starting to find myself laughing more and more at these episodes o_0; hehe

Did anyone notice that they actually called the rice balls "rice balls"? >:O Or do you just selectively complain when they DON'T do it?

In any case, good episode, blah blah. Also, why isn't there a topic for the second ep ;/

I noticed that as well. I was incredibly shocked.

I just hope that trend continues.

Heh, the second we heard TR call the rice balls, "Rice Balls", my brother and I were like, "OMFG! They called them Rice Balls!!" Yeah, okay, so we're easily amused...

Anyway, I absolutely LOVED Jessie's capture of Seviper! I laughed and laughed. Seviper's face when Jessie got all scary was too funny! It was like, "Oh God... what have I done...?" I love it when Jessie goes all ballistic, and James and Meowth are freaked out. It makes me think of "The Battling Eevee Brothers" when Meowth, I believe, said, "I think Jessie just evolved into a Flareon!!" ^^ Priceless.

I actually liked Seviper itself. Though nothing can really relpace Arbok, Seviper is a nice addition to Jessie's team. Its mischeivious personality makes it very loveable.

Treecko's determination was pretty cool. I'm surprised Ash didn't try to get more involved with it. What happened to the days of Ash running up to a group of wild Pikachu wanting to "be their friend too"? I guess he really is growing up!

    A great episode; I give it a 9/10.

Maybe I'll go make a thread for the second episode... Why does Totodilemew keep forgetting that one?

Wow, it's the little elements in the this episode that make me love the new AG series.

The above average animation came back! YAY! The last time it appeared was in the Taillow episode, if anyone noticed that.

Of course, I loved the Jessie beating up Seviper part, poor snake...at least it was original how she caught it. If she's that strong when she's in a rage, maybe she should get her hair chopped off more often, just to see the chaos that results! XD

And I never knew those little sounds Seviper makes were in the Japanese version, but it's a good thing, I don't like it when KidsWB change every sound in the anime.

And of course, the rice balls! WHOOHOOO! Finally, they're called by their right names.

9.5/10, I was also slightly irked by Treecko's voice, but his super cool battle almost made up for that!

I noticed they edited the skirmish by adding some of the 'impact' stills.

Erm...were these 'impact stills' during the part where she kicked Sevipers head in to put it bluntly? If so, its like that in all the versions, japnese or otherwise. Erm...nothing ever seems to be cut or painted over in england nowadays it seems...

Yes, that's correct. It seems to be yet another 4Kids affair. I wish they'd put a stop to these edits.

Finally watched the DVD I recorded this one on today. It was awesome! Treecko is a very bad-*** Pokemon. Quite original, but at the same time reminds me a tad of Bulbasaur. His heroics in saving Torchic were really admirable. And his tail striking technique was great. I am very thankful that the dubbers finally decided to start calling riceballs riceballs, rather than sandwhiches, donuts and even onions. o_O My fav parts in the ep were Jessie going beast on Seviper, Treecko owning Seviper and the instrunmental bg of Advanced Adventure. ^-^
