If DarkPrince and RaZoR LeAf are gonna do it, I can too. I've got a reffing spot I'd like to fill, so if two combatants would like to fight...

Arena: In a cavern. The area is large, and the environment is rocky. The ground is littered with sharp little stones, and the walls are rough and slightly jagged. The ceiling is high, and a single chandelier hangs over the arena, filling it with a dim light. It's a good area for pokemon with a tough or rocky hide - Pokemon without it will not cope well with the stony floor.

The first person to sign up may choose the rules of the battle.

Sasha, use Confuse Ray followed by a Fire Spin to keep him still! Then barbecue him with Flamethrower!

Ahg you bitch! A fire type, I hate you! Bah. Lets see if we can use the arena to our advantage Shrapnel.

Close yourself up with a Defence Curl to avoid looking into the Confuse Ray.

Now straight away use Sandstorm hopefully the wind will throw some rocks around and blunt the strength of the fire attacks.

Finally set up a Light Screen directly infront of you to absorb any fire attacks that do break through the storm. This should give us a good starting.

« Pre Battle »

Both combatants walk up to the entrance of the caverns they are going to battle in. The doorway is tall, and as HealdPK and RaZoR LeAf peer in they see the dim light of the caves. They look at each other, and debate over who should go in there first. There are a few odd noises coming out from there, which is rather disturbing to say the least. Nevertheless they both go in together, and make their way to the room in which they will fight. Standing at their positions, RaZoR LeAf sends out his metallic Forretress, its metal hide shining slightly in the chandeliers glow. HealdPK tosses out his pokeball and an adorable Vulpix materialises on the stony floor, and the two pokemon get ready for a battle.

« Round One »

As the first round starts, Shrapnel immediately curls up into a tight ball. Sasha directs a dazzling beam of light at the Forretress in hopes of confusing him, but fails dismally as the light bounds off his metallic hide like the flash of a photograph. Shrapnel then opens up in the blink of an eye and sends a violent sandstorm blowing through the cavern - Sasha squints and peers through the sand, rocks and random other bits of debris to aim her attack at the sneaky Forretress. As sand whips into her side, the Vulpix lets loose a tornado of fire at Shrapnel. The Forretress isn't expecting any flames to get to him, but works on setting up a barrier of light anyway - He doesn't do it in time though and gets hit by a few shots of flame from Sasha's attack.

Struggling to see through the thick sands, Sasha manages to see Shrapnel, but not for long as her view is obstructed by a bright wall of light that the Forretress has managed to put up. She can see where he is though, and lets loose a strong blast of flame out at him. The force of the flames manages to get through the storm, but it only ends up in getting absorbed by the screen Shrapnel has put up. Sighing, Sasha looks down at her feet, which have been prickled by the sharp stones that are littered all over the floor. They're sore, and she continues to get hit by the whipping sands that are blowing into her side as well.

Cheesy - you said Shrapenl got hit by some of the flame, but haven't deducted any health. Not that I don't like having a headstart, but I like to be fair too. Great reffing btw.

Great start Shrapnel, lets keep it up. How about we make the arena even more uncomfortable for our foxy foe? Use your Rapid Spikes combo, you remember it from before? Keep spinning with Rapid Spin, and spit out Spikes as you rotate.

Lets finish the round with another Light Screen. If your old one is still intact then try a Secret Power for some random fun.

Oh, thanks for pointing that out. I'll edit in the damage. I presume HealdPK won't have any objections, but if ya do, I'll edit it back in and continue with that damage dealt in the next round. I hope that's okay..

Okay Sasha! Use Psychic to send any spikes he sends out directly back at him! Next use Dig to protect yourself from the sandstorm and then dig underneath Shrapnel and give him a Flamethrower!

« Round Two »

Immediately Shrapnel starts zooming round in a lightning fast spin, a blur of greys and silver to Sasha. Suddenly, spikes shoot out from all directions and come flying at her - Fortunately, she knows what to do and uses her psychic powers to ping them right back at the metallic bug. It doesn't work perfectly though, as a few excess spikes hit Sasha. Even though the sandstorm whips and slashes at the Vulpix, she carries on her offensive strategy. Continuing to get the spikes to levitate, she shoots them back at Shrapnel, but it fails dismally as they just ping off his metallic hide and land on the ground. As if stones weren't enough, Sasha has spikes to deal with now!

Ignoring the spikes that have rained down on the arena floor, Sasha digs down to get away from the thick sandstorm for a while and rakes through the soil underneath the arena. Shrapnel stops whirring about madly, and ponders as to where Sasha has gotten to. Looking around, he can't see any sign of her, but this might just be because the sandstorm is so thick. Suddenly, something bursts out of the ground underneath and the Vulpix bears her dirty face, shooting a blast of flame at the still-a-little-bit-puzzled Forretress! He fries like an oversized metal marshmallow in the blazes, and when the attack stops he blinks rather giddily.

Sasha tries to hide her face from the storm that is blowing, but it's no use; she'll have to bear with it. Pulling herself out of the ground properly, she gets kindly greeted by a stinging sensation in her face. Shrapnel is firing a bright beam at her, and it's making her feel slightly confused - She feels even more puzzled because she doesn't know why she's feeling confused in the first place! As the whipping sands continue to shoot around the arena, she looks up at Shrapnel rather cluelessly, not really a clue what just happened. The Forretress looks back, still slightly dazed from the Vulpix's previous attack.

Okay Sasha, shake off that confusion and Dig underground to protect yourself from the sandstorm and then stay there for the rest of the round.

This would have been a perfect opportunity to use Earthquake, but in a cave, I wouldn't want to risk it, so we wont. While the Vulpix digs it's hole, use another Spikes to cover the floor with even more sharp things.

Now, get close to the hole, if you require something to help you near it use Rollout. When you're above it, spit a Toxic down onto the enemy. Haha!

If you've got a turn left (incase you didn't need to use Rollout) then create a Reflect OVER the hole.

« Round Three »

Sasha starts off the match by furiously burrowing into the ground to get away from the raging sandstorm. As she digs, she chucks the soil she's digging through behind her, therefore sealing the tunnel. Shrapnel, all alone in the angry winds, shoots out a flurry of spikes on the floor, which is already covered in sharp things. Forretress is satisfied with this - What a surprise Sasha is going to get when she emerges! Anyway, he doesn't want to waste time, so he pushes through the sandstorm and hovers over the hole that Sasha has created. He peers down and sees that about a metre or two down the tunnel is blocked up. Nevertheless he spits down some nasty toxins, and creates a pool of bubbling purple acids. Then, he creates a tough barrier, standing up in front of him. After a few seconds it topples over, covering the hole and trapping the fumes of the bubbling acids. Sasha is sitting down in the ground, breathing slightly more heavily from the lack of air. She'll have to rise soon... She probably will, given that the raging sandstorm has died down.

« Round Four »

Shrapnel follows his trainers commands, as he seems very confident as to what he is doing. The Forretress can't really see any sand around the cave at all, so he just whips up an extremely thick sandstorm which blows around the arena at full force. Not realising the storm would be this strong, however, Shrapnel gets whisked away to the other side of the arena by the rough storm. Pushing back through the heavy conditions, Sasha has resurfaced by this time and is whisked away in another direction too! When she lands, she erects a sparkly yellow barrier to protect herself from harm. However, this is draining her energy a lot and she can't keep it up forever!

Eventually the barrier fades away into nothingness and Shrapnel comes into Sasha's view. Immediately seeing the small red fox amongst the yellow conditions he pushes his way through to her, and is about to hit her with a series of thwacks, but gets greeted by a flooding blast of fire! The roasty toasty heat is a bit much for Shrapnel, and he tries to withstand the blast as much as possible. Not easy though. By this time the vicious sandstorm has calmed down. When Sasha finishes her attack she immediately gets hit by a blow that Shrapnel was going to deal before - In a blind effort to retaliate, Sasha unleashes another burst of fire at the Forretress. He's not the happiest of steel bugs. Two blasts of fire isn't exactly fun. The Vulpix hops up and down excitedly, before realising the floor is still littered by sharp little things all over the place. Ouch.
