    Default Biohazard Outbreak

    Wow I bought Sonic Heros today and I must say it does suck =\

    Anywho, back onto what I wanted to post.

    I'm sure we all know that Biohazard (or Resident Evil for American's and Europeans) is a popular game series, and as all other popular game series are doing, it's going online.

    Thought I'd bring this topic up as it's due for release towards the next month if all goes well. (It should do as Capcom rarely delys games)

    Anywho, what are you expecting from this game? I personally think it's gonna suck, but that's just me.

    If you think it's going to suck then you obviously don't know much about Resident Evil or didn't read up on the game. (Being released in Japan already)

    Personally, I will have a PS2 by March 30 solely for the purpose of purchasing this game. It is going to be the greatest online experience ever. You're thrown into the game with four people who you have never met, and you're forced to cooperate to escape Raccoon City.

    What makes it cool is how much cooperative play is involved. You have a limited inventory space and so you must share items and switch them up in order to advance. Zombies come in a huge supply and so you must barricade yourself in rooms or hide in lockers/beds and wait for one of the others to come help you. When one of your partners is injured, they will begin to stumble slowing them down. You can speed them up by offering a shoulder for them to cling too. Also, if you're jumping from roof to roof and your partner can't quite make it, you can hoist them up or offer a hand.

    Also, the addition of the virus gauge is cool. Now when you're attacked, you'll slowly turn into a zombie yourself and soon join the undead. You even get to play as a zombie for a short time and go after your friends. You can also tackle or kick zombies now if you have no weapon. There are also pipes and brooms lying around that you can bash them with, and the item slowly bends and breaks.

    I cannot wait for this game. It's going to be the greatest PS2 game and quite possibly the greatest online achievment ever. You should be ashamed that you don't think it looks good!

    I know all about the game since I've been following it since before it's release. I know all about it's features which is one of the reasons I dislike it.

    You work with 3 other people in your team BUT you have NO communication with them. The only thing you have are a few set commands, which does suck. I'd love the game if it had a communication feature, but sadly it doesn't.

    Most people that play Resident Evil games like to save frequently just incase the next corner brings death. In Outbreak this is no longer an option. The player can’t save until a scenario is completed. There are save points like the older games but this time they are just to go have a rest and not to shut off the game. Once the power is off, you lose all of your data on the scenario.

    It's just me this, I always pick up on the bad points before the good ^_^;;

    Resident Evil fans all over the world have had one major complaint with the series for some time now and that was the horrendous controls. In fact as of late, people have been saying the only scary thing about Resident Evil was its controls and its horrible camera angles. For a game that is meant to be about survival, the original control scheme was just too sluggish for most people to stand. Now all of the problems have been fixed. Outbreak is the first Resident Evil game to feature a real 3D analog control scheme. The analog is used as it is in many other games such as Eternal Darkness and even Capcom’s own Devil May Cry series. The camera has also been fixed to better suit the new generation of games. No longer is the camera static but it is free flowing and pans in and out behind the character. This isn’t to say that there are no longer any creepy camera angles because there are, it’s just that now players will always have a clear view of the action.

    Wooohoo! about time.

    The visuals look amazing, I've heard that the control system is nothing but good from Eric ((he lives in Tokyo)), gameplay, I've been told it's just above avarage =\ which is what put me off in the first place.

    I dunno, it could be good. I'll see when I get the game.
    I just wanted to know what people thought about the game, knwoing the Uk it won't be untill like December untill the ****ing thing is released.

    EDIT *poits up one post* I have every RE game on every console that it's been released on =) and um it's a PS2 game ^^;

    Resident Evil + Multiplayer = The Love.

    I look forward to it, but there has to be a LAN feature. People on the 'net are retards. I tend to stick with people I know.
