Whats the most effective and fastest way to train Pokemon to Level 100?
Whats the most effective and fastest way to train Pokemon to Level 100?
Fastest? Battle the Elite Four and L100 Secret Base teams repeatedly.
Most effective and least boring? Leave Pokémon in the daycare and have your character ride up those slopes that you can't climb without a Mach Bike overnight with the up button held down. It'll take a couple days, but it gets the job done.
Wouldn't that seriously hurt your finger(s).
Besides that, hard training and lots of green beanes is the only honest way
The trick is to find a way to keep the up button held down without you being there. I used a wire clamp. I've heard some people have success with tape, but it never works for me; there's always too much give in the tape to keep the button down.

I made this custom fit thing from legos that holds it down. It works like a miracle. Yeah, and tape doesn't work well for me either.
exactly where can u do this, do u jus keep going up? do u go bak down when u hit the top or somthing how does it work
What you do is you get an Acro bike (Mauville City) and where you see those muddy slopes you start at the bottom of the slope. You look up, going up the slope, but can't because it isn't a Mach bike. What happens is you just go back down. If you leave it on long enough, your pokémon will grow levels. My Poochyena at level 2 went to level 70 something in like ten hours. Make sure you have enough power to run it though.
What is the point of playing pokemon if you don't actually TRAIN it yourself. I mean the bike way is long and takes the fun out of it. Leaving in the daycare for a few days is expensive and yet again no fun. Just battle the Elite 4 or use the secret base way.

Some of us are actually more interested in the battling aspect of the game rather than the training aspect.
Once you're up around L80 or so, the Elite Four get godawful repetitive.

Take the fun out of the game? NO. I'm pretty sure that some of us here have full/part time jobs, and really, there is no time for training. The slope helps a lot, we can customise our movesets [if need be] at Level 100, and once we get full EVs for the Pokemon, throwing it in there isn't a bad idea at all.
I used a rock on my control pad. Oh yeah, you can still do it with a mach bike; just make sure you're right in front of the slope and that you don't get a running start.
Yes, but the Mach Bike is actually slower than the Acro Bike when it hasn't been allowed to accelerate, so there's no good reason to use the Mach Bike when you could just do it on foot.

Really! That must be why I had only grown like 15 levels overnight instead of more. And also, I have a question to add, how do you know when you can't get any more Ev's? And can you get EV's when you are already at level 100(common sense is telling me no but I heard some stuff earlier that is confusing me)?
I always just fight Gabby & Ty over and over with an exp share on one poke and an amulet coin on the other. You still get a decent amount of exp and don't have to listen to the looong speeches the e5 make. But that's just me![]()

In Slateport City next to the Energy Guru is a woman who will give you an Effort Ribbon if the first pokemon in your party has already got 510 EV's.Originally posted by Vex 47

And yes, a pokemon at level 100 can still gain EV points if it has not maxed out. To recalculate any stat effects you have to put it into Lanette's /Someone's PC.
