    Fargasta's Truth |Sign-Ups|

    After the extravagent battle between Pike and Vlag, Fargasta, and all of the world it lies within, fell into a period of peace and prosperity...

    Twenty years later, a cloud of evil is beginning to spread in the west. Small wars are beginning to break out among the inhabitant of the planet once again. Chaos and entropy have become the essense of the once calm lands.

    One day, after retiring to your family's home, you are abruptly interrupted from your activities by a weak knock at the door. As you turn the knob to reveal the guest, you sense a troubled soul. Just outside the house is a Harpy Messenger that seems extremely batter and bruised. He hands you a tattered scroll that is addressed to you and flies away, disappearing over the eastern horizon.

    Curiosity raging through your system, you close the door and turn to see everyone in the household surrounding you; anticipation lingers as they wait for your next action. You slowly unroll the scroll and read as follows:

    Dear Friend,

    During the past few days, I have discovered that strange happening have occured in the deserts to the farthest west of Bugdoniel. A great evil is showing it's face with a destructive force that no man can withstand.

    If have sent this as a request for you you to come to an investigative meeting to figure out what this evil is and how it is spreading across the plains. I would go myself, but I no longer can in my old age. Your presence is greatly appreciated...

    Best regards,

    The King of Gadel
    Although you were only able to stay with your family for a short time, you know that his highness is expecting you to make an appearance. You pack you weapons and food, enough to last you until you arrive, and set out for the brilliant city of Gadel...

    Several days later, after an arduous journey across the plains of the world, you drag your way into the grand citadel. Needing and knowing that you should refresh your mind and body before seeing the king, you stay at Inn and rest your fatigued body. The next morning, you prepare your things once more and navigate your way through the city to the King's Castle for the meeting...

    I would like you give you guys a little idea of what this "planet" looks like, so the pic in the attachment below is one with the continents on it. I had to add a couple to it, though, because they aren't large cities and weren't included in the real one. There is one mistake though. Agnus is south of the mountain below Bugdoniel, in the center of the plains there, not where it is labeled on map... Sorry! ^_^;

    And, so you guys get an idea of the atmosphere and current situation, I'll start by putting my own part of the story up! ^_^

    Name: Masashi
    Age: 23
    Gender: Male
    Race: Human
    Class: Priest
    Appearance: Masashi's 5' 6" with a medium build. He has a definite muscle tone, but he's no muscleman. His eyes are hazel, but they lean more towards brown than green. His hair is dark brown with a blue glaze in the shimmer, and he usually likes it parted down the middle. He keeps his hair short (1 - 1.5 inches on the top) so that his hair can stay like that. He has a simple ocean-blue robe that is tied around the waist by an enchanted blood red sash. He then has a black hooded cape that is clasped around his neck by a eliptical, dark sapphire brooch. The back of robe is decorated with the attached symbol on the back (in white). His skin is fairly pale. It has a notable amount of color, but not a large amount.
    Personality: Masashi tends to keep to himself and the small group of friends he has. He knows many people from helping them, but he doesn't get to know too many new people. In his leisure time, he loves to draw and sketch or read a book (usually some sort of fiction). He's an extremely imaginative person and enjoys sharing his dreams and ideas with those around him. He generally likes to keep a fun or comical aura around him, and for this, many people see him to be a little too upbeat sometimes. Just don't mess with him when he's angry. He's likely to bite your head off if you irritate him enough. Masashi is the kind of person that wears his happy and joyous emotions on his sleeve, but hides his depressing and angry feelings deep inside. This causes him to have the occasional eruption of depression and feeling of worthlessness from the build-up within him. Usually it takes something extremely stressful or horrible to knock him into this condition, so it's not exactly something that happens too often or for an extended period of time. In general, though, he's a fun person to be around!
    Weapon Class: "These fists are certified lethal weapons..."
    Magic: Dhur...
    Relationships: Masashi and Regan became fairly decent friends while she and her family were living in his hometown of Gigarl.
    Hometown: Gigarl
    Other: Masashi has a small ceremonial dagger that he carries with his for situation where he think his hands won't do the job...

    I finally felt up to par again after staying at that quaint, little inn. "That's the best night of sleep I've had in days!" I said to the attendant as I headed out the door after paying.

    I made my way through the twisted streets of town and approached the bridge that crossed moat for the castle. I was led by one of the King's guards to two enormous doors. As I pushed the massive gates open, I stood in awe at the extravagantly decorated hall; the Grand Hall. The flags and coats of arms that covered the room proved how well the King kept his relationships with allied nations.

    I took a step forward into the expansive room, the hard soles of my leather boots made a low boom as the sound echoed through the huge hall. It showed how empty and hollow the room was, compared to it's beautiful decorations.

    As I neared the chair that lay at the opposite end of the room from the doors, a servant of King stepped forward. "His Majesty has not awaken yet. Please feel free to have your fill of the breakfast the King has had prepared for you while you wait for him and the others..." He said, pointing to a large table covered in delicious foods. I thought to myself, "Food! But what did he mean by "others?" The letter said nothing of anyone else..."

    Just as I was about to take a seat, a rumbling came from the doors. I stopped myself and moved away from the table, in the case that it may be His Majesty......but it wasn't. An upstanding woman with high-heeled shoes cautiously entered; her shady sillouette seemed quite familiar to me...

    "Regan? Regan de Tempscire!? Wasn't expecting to see you here..." I asked, shocked to see an old friend of mine.

    "I recieved a letter from the King wishing for me to participate in an investigation." She stated, getting straight to the point. "And you?"

    "Same." I responded in the same tone. "But... You haven't changed a bit!" I giggled a little, trying to lighten her mood a little. Denied!

    "You haven't either, I see..." She retorted, as we both headed toward to table to feast. A thought came to my head, "She really needs to work on her people skills..."

    Default Albert Odyssey: Fargasta's Truth |Begins!!|

    Name: Rikorian Rywen (Last name is first. ^^) People call him, "Riko"
    Age: 25
    Gender: Male
    Race: Harpy
    Class: Ranger
    Appearance: I'm going to have a picture of him. He's sort of a 'rogue' harpy... looking rather not as formal as the rest. (you'll see in his picture.) He stands fairly tall, with fluffy, short black/brown full hair. His eyes are a startling eerie green, with flecks of blue ebbed into them. He does have wings which are a ebony black, dusked with slight speckles of gray and golden hues. Most harpies have light bodies, but he's a bit stronger and more 'built' than most Male Harpies. He usually chooses to not wear a shirt (he's proud of his build) and he has a small claw-like scar upon his chest. He wears slightly baggy pants, which only reach halfway to his calves and are black, rimmed in red. When he DOES wear a shirt, it is sleeveless and is also black, and rimmed in red as well. Around his waist he has a silver chain, which has a hilt upon it where he puts his small sword in it. He also has bows and arrows, which he slings around his back. Around his neck is a silver chain, with a silver wing pendant upon it, with a small clear jewel inside of it.
    (again.. picture later.^^)
    Personality: He is extremely kind, and usually quite positive. However, in the face of danger his personality changes into a very strong, authortive figure. He's very loyal and dependable... and he is quite protective as well.
    Weapon Class: Ranger- he uses a small sword and a bow and arrow set. HIs small sword has a black handle, which is not completely opaque. However, the blade of the sword is made of diamond- a sword that has been passed down generations after generations of his family. He also has bow and arrows, his holder for his arrows having Harpy markings upon it in silver.
    Magic: ^^ Whatever Whiteangel gives me.
    Relationships: He's good friends with Jewel, and rather he knows a lot of people for his travels. ^^
    Hometown: Harpy Forest- but he travels a lot.
    Other: Nope.

    RIKO

    Rikorian Rywen - M - Harpy
    "When I look to the sky..."

    *

    The letter said little to Riko, as he flew upon the air with his magnificant wings of ebony, intermixed with flecks of gray and gold. His piercing green eyes saw the castle about him... and his thick deep brown/sable hair rippled in the wind. He wore a simple black, almost leather-like jacket but wore it open and no shirt underneath it. His scar was shown this way, but he wasn't ashamed of it nor did he really care about his body much. He wasn't really aware of his rather athletic appearance.
    He saw the castle and wondered how he could enter it... when suddenly a guard amongst one of the towers spotted him.
    "Ey! You! What business do you have here?"
    Riko smiled a friendly grin and flew to him, circling above him..
    "I'm Rikorian Rywen... I was summoned by the king."
    The guard seemed releaved, and was about to tell himto land so he could be escorted by guards but Riko suddenly saw an open window below him. He waved and then suddenly went into a graceful dive. Although he had flown far... his wings were strong, and he loved flight most of anything.
    Soon he flew through the open window, and with luck and surprise he saw two humanoid figures. With grace adn little effort he flickered his wings and landed upon the ground. The two looked at him with slight surprise, but Riko- knowing formalities amongst this land, bowed with his wings folding instantly.
    "My appologizes from 'dropping' in... but I was told I was summoned by the King. You are the others I assume?"
    The male figure nodded and was surprised.
    "You knew there were more than yourself summoned?"
    Riko nodded. "Yes, the guard told me because I told him I was too busy to go to the King.. but when he told me of it's urgency and of others... well, he jus tmust have been more squealish when he delivered my letter."
    Riko laughed, and the humans seemed awkward but Riko's personality was outgoing and pleasant but some how you could tell he was slightly serious in his own way.
    "My name is Rikorian Rywen, but Riko is what I go by."

    Tsukasa, bud! I know you're a guy, but that didn't mean you had to change your name. Apparently you haven't seen the show with the incredibly hot guy vampire.

    Name: Talon
    Age: 20
    Gender: Female
    Race: Birdwoman
    Class: Polearm
    Appearance: She's 5'4" with tan feathers and black tail feathers. She has a slightly slim build. Her beak is small and black, like a falcon's. Her eyes are yellow and can glow like a cat's in the dark. She wears a short sleeved black T-shirt and shorts. She goes around barefoot. Her fingernails are slightly longer than a human's. Her wings are tan at the top and black at the tips of her primary flight feathers. She wears a silver anklet that jingles when it moves.
    Personality: She's quiet and helpful to all she likes. It's uncertain if she ever gets angry or afraid; she keeps her emotions well hidden. She wears a smile almost all the time, even in the midst of battle. She has a laugh that can turn one's blood cold. She wanders around towns as she wishes and without warning, and sometimes can just be seen sitting by herself out in the sun. She prefers not to fight, but seems to enjoy it when she has to.
    Weapon Class: A long handled scythe. I thought I could make this polearm thing cool!
    Magic: Eagle Dance
    Relationships: Open, if possible. I guess she could always make friends
    Hometown: Weran
    Other:

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    "Halt! What business have you?" one of the guards yelled, his sword drawn.
    I reached in my bag and showed him the scroll. "Greetings, guard. I was sent here by the king. Will you be so kind as to lead me to where I'm supposed to be?" I kindly asked one of the guards. The guard looked me over with interest and started to walk me to the front doors. We passed by an incredible garden that I couldn't help but stop for a second and stare at before catching up.
    "Here we are." He stopped in front of the doors and opened one for me. I stepped inside an enormous entrance hall that was lined with all sorts of decorations.
    "Surely this must be a great king!" I exclaimed as I approached another room.
    "I'm sorry, but the King is still asleep," a servant apologized. "Please help yourself to some breakfast while you wait." He showed me a large table filled with delicious food. Near the table stood a couple of humans and a harpy.
    It seems that I was not the only one who received a letter. "Hello, I'm Talon. Who, may I ask, are you?" I asked them.
    Name: Makina Radana
    Age: 18
    Gender: Female
    Race: Human
    Class: Sorceress
    Appearance: Standing around 5 foot 7, she has mid back Raven black hair that's staight going down untill her neck, which then is gets wavy. Her eyes are a tree-bark brown, and her skin is somewhat pale, borderline fair. She wears black dressy pants with a Silverish shirt. She has a scar across her back, but it's something she doesn't want to talk about. She wears a silver chain around her neck with a charm of a Phoniex Like creature, all in color. Her pants have pockets.^^
    Personality: Besides being quite about her scar on her back, she's quite cheerful to be around, with always a smiling face.She's nice, gentle, but when in battle, she takes a 180 degree turn. She's fierce, strong, and most likely, rash. She doesn't think before doing something most of the time, and that could get her in trouble. She's afraid of messing things up. She's very loyal to people,and is great for telling secrets.
    Weapon Class: (I'll have to draw a picture of it)It's similar to Miroku's staff on Inuyasha, but instead of Gold, it's silver, and the rings on it are pinkish in tone. On each of the ring is a small, round gem of a lightpink color.It's a heirloom from her mother's side of the family.
    History: Being grown up in Solace by a Sorceress mother and a Priest Father,she's always had the trouble of picking which one, Priestess or Sorceress,or maybe neither. But while defending the City of Solace, her mother died, and with that, Makina decided on being a Sorceress on her mother's behalf.
    Magic: Blankyness
    Relationships: Uhh...She's somewhat open Me suppose.
    Hometown: Solace, But she's wondered around since she was 17.
    Other:*pokes other with staff*^^;Haha.
    Makina Radana
    "What business are you to be here?"A sleepy guard asked. I looked at him,as he kept on sliping into and out of sleep. I giggled at him, and he suddenly jolted straight,"Tell me, what business are of you to be here?"
    "I got a scroll saying for my presence to beforth the king."I mocked him in a sense,"I'm Makina Radana....I've got the scroll here.."I used my left hand, which wasn't holding my Staff, to search my pockets...I had folded the scroll when I left the Inn this morning.
    "It's here...somewhere...I swear."I grunted, and searched my pockets even more. He looked at me, annoyed, and started to whistle.
    "Lady,I don't have all day."He glared as I finally found the folded piece of parchment. I smiled,ear to ear, as I handed it to him.
    "Yes..Yes..Ok."He said,"You can go, follow me."I smiled in relief as the guard started to walk towards two large doors. I gazed in utter amazement as we drew closer...
    "Here you go."He said, we finally stopped infront of the 2 doors."Push them, and find a seat in the Grand Hall. And here is your parchment back, don't lose it."
    "Thanks."I smiled a little, and he walked off, leaving me alone with these 2 huge doors. I used the end of my staff to push the door, and it only needed a touch before they started to open.
    And when they opened, they revealed a glorious room.Full of flags and knights armour from allied nations, it was beautifully decored. I glanced over at a table at the end, and a servant, who quickly rushed over. I also noticed 3 people, 1 Harpy looking, 1 Birdwoman looking-I could tell by her beak,and a Normal human. The servant quickly rushed over to me, and bowed lightly.
    "Our Majesty is not yet awake.."
    "Thats ok."I interupted,"Go on."
    "Please,Lady, take feast on the food over there that the King has had prepared for you. He and others shall arrive shortly."The servant said. She then litely bowed, and I did the same, and walked over to the table. My staff's rings jingled as I walked, providing a lite tune as I walked. I hummed a little melody as I walked over to the 3, all introducing themselfs...
    "Hey,You guy's waiting for the King?"I asked, and they nodded. I finally stood before them,and smiled.
    "I'm Makina, Makina Ranada,and you?"
    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------
    It had been several days since Jeremiah had left his house behind. Not that it mattered anyway, considering he rarely stayed there. Jeremiah was a mercenary and thus he traveled quite frequently. His 'home' was where ever he made camp.
    It was a bright and beautiful morning that Jeremiah awoke to. He was not but five miles from the castle to which he was summoned. According to the letter there was a great evil spreading across the lands, the same evil that had previously been vanquished twenty years ago ending the Great War, a war he was too young to remember, aside from the stories his father told him. He packed up his tent and supplies and headed towards the castle.
    He was stopped as he approached the gate of the castle.
    "State your business!" ordered the guard.
    "I was summoned" said Jeremiah as he pulled the the hood of his robe off of his head revealing his battle hardened face, "by your king."
    "Terribly sorry for the inconvenience, sir." apologized the guard as he opened the gate to let Jeremiah in.
    Jeremiah walked through the gate and quickly scanned the courtyard. He wasn't the only one summoned. There were two other humans. One had a staff, probably a sorceress, and the other was of an undeterminable class, maybe a warrior or a priest. Jeremiah wasn't sure. A male harpy and a female birdman were also present. Jeremiah didn't know too much about those races. He felt it was time to introduce himself so he walked towards the group.
    "What is this? A birthday party?" he asked and then chuckled as he approached them.
    "Greetings, everyone. My name is Jeremiah."
    He smiled, it was strangly warm and friendly when compared to his rough face, and extended his hand to the nearest person, the harpy.
    RIKO
    " Whether I am in or out or up or down..."
    Harpy- M
    *
    [size=1]
    Riko saw many others come in, and after helping himself to just a small portion of the meal at hand - some various fruits which he selected, another human came in. He seemed slightly warrior like... for his build matched of that class, and Riko was very familiar with classes and body types. The man seemed very friendly however, as he introduced himself and reached out a hand to Riko. Riko smiled back, equal in warmth and then he bowed himself.
    " And I am Rikorian Rywen, but you may address me as Riko like my friends do."
    Soon everyone was well introduced, and Riko felt a slight equal companionship with the human named Jeremiah, just becuase he seemed to be friendly and as they chatted with pleasant talk about where their journey here had led them over. Riko thought it fun to tell about his journey over the sea... especially since he saw many whales and boats with strangers aboard doing funny things- to Riko anyway.
    However, Riko was slightly irked..
    "What is the matter?" Jeremiah said to him, as the female Makina nodded as well. Riko smiled to her and him,
    "It is nothing much worrisome... just that I knew of another who was supposed to be here. It was one of the reasons I knew there was going to be a group. She is a harpy like I, named Jewel. I left before she did... but she is a fast flighter (he doesn't say flyer) and should have been here by now. I hope the wind over the sea didn't turn to gails..."
    Makina nodded, seemingly sympathetic.
    " I'm sure she's fine."
    Riko looked to the fair and pleasant faced one, and nodded to her, suddenly realizing as he looked into her brown eyes why she'd make a good sorcerress-> she seemed slightly mysterious yet enchanting, with a strong tone of voice none the less.
    " You're right..." Riko said... smiling reassuringly.
    OoC: CC - I had been considering it for a long time, but just hadn't had the initiative to do it. I finally did after being more active on here again! ^_^
    RA - That is fine! You'll be ok. I haven't done it in a while either so...meh!
    And, BTW, this RPG will be separated into chapters. I'll merely put up a generalization of what happened in the last chapter and the setting of the next chapter. You'll understand as we progress! ^_^ I promise!
    ~~~~~~~~~~
    Masashi's Eyes
    ~~~~~~~~~~
    I grabbed a apple off of the table and began eating as various other people started entering the giant corridor. Two humans, a woman with a staff, and a man with a Broadsword, a male harpy, and a female of the Birdmen. They all seemed to be very generous, yet strong, in their own ways.
    I noticed that the Harpy, who called himself Riko, seemed a little worried. He spoke of another Harpy from the forest that was to arrive as well, but had not yet. I stood and walked over to the slightly upset Harpy. "I'M sure she'll make it as well! I can sense your faith in it!" I said, agreeing with Makino and Jeremiah, the other two humans that were there.
    Not expecting anything from her, I turned to see what Regan was doing. I searched the table and found her enjoying the large breakfast without a care! "Aren't you going to say ANYTHING to to try and calm this man?" I said, waiting for a decent answer.
    "Nope!" she spoke as she gulped down a mouthful of food. I just about collapsed from the angst that I felt.
    "You have no hope..." I sighed, shaking my head at her inconsiderable attitude...
    I heard the doors open once again, this time revealing one of the King's servants, a different one from last. "His Majesty is awake and will be with after making himself.......decent." The servant turned as red as the apple in my hand and quickly left. Everybody seemed to have their own little personal jokes about what he had said, because everyone giggled with enough sound to make it obvious...
    Default Albert Odyssey: Fargasta's Truth |Begins!!|
    Name: Illu'vatar Dragonstone (L'vatar for short, pronounced Lavatar(the first "a" makes and "u" sound, like in "uh")
    Age: 24
    Gender: Male
    Race: Dragonmen
    Class: Warrior
    Appearance: Under his rough beard and matted shoulder length hair, Illu'vatar is a very handsome man. His face is covered with a rough, slightly dirty, brown beard.(Sometime duing this RPG, he might shave) His hair is also brown in color, and is just as unattended to. It stops just above his shoulders. His face is very chiseled, and his eyes are bright emerald green. He is fairly tall, standing at 6'2. His build is lean, and slighlty muscular. His underpants are skintight (brown), and is covered with pieces of leather (dark green) strapped together with thin-strips of leather. Under his leather coat (dark green in color also), is a loose fitting white tunic. He wears brown leather boots.
    Personality: L'vatar is a quiet, troubled soul, and tends to keep to himself. He rarely talks to anyone, besides a few of his closest friends, preferring to be alone. This attitude has earned him the nickname "Lonewolf". He has a problem accepting his past. He is very suspicious, if only for a little while, and has a big problem attending to the wishes from those he thinks are "beneath" him. It is a tough task to gain his respect. He is a tough fighter, and very, very, rarely backs down from a challenge.
    Weapon Class: Twin Katanas, with twin dragons imprinted on the blade (keeps them sheathed at his side)
    Magic: ?
    Relationships: None
    Hometown: Dragonmen Tribe is his where he resides, but occasionally ventures to other places (Gigarl mostly)
    Other: Carries a small blade that he sometimes uses to shave
    Illu'vatar
    The village was engulfed in flames. There were screams, and body's smothered in fire running around, the people wailing. The fire grew larger, until it covered everything. And in the midst of all the havoc and chaos I stood grinning sinisterly...
    I awoke from the dream just as soon as I gazed into those emerald eyes, the exact same color as my own. As I returned to consciousness, the heat I felt subsided, though I was still covered in sweat. I felt like I'd been swimming in a pool of boiling water. I gazed, very slowly, at my surroundings. I came to the conclusion that I was in an inn of some sort, due to the warm feeling of the room. It was like a place that was supposed to be a substitute for home, covered in earthly hues. I yanked the covers off of my soaked body, and tossed them on the floor.
    I'd been having the same dream for almost a week, and never once did it leave me to sleep peacefully. The dream had felt so real, I thought that it really was happening. Only one thing changed, and that was the location. At first I was at the Dragonmen tribe, then Gigarl, then the harpy forest. The list went on and on. The dream might've not been so terrifying if I hadn't been able to see my eyes. There were my eyes, but there was something different about them. They were unnerving. But what really scared me was that my eyes were once like that. I'd almost destroyed my entire family.
    I stepped into the washroom, and turned on the water. It was a little cooler than I was used to, but it would have to do.
    After washing, I put on some fresh clothes. I wore the same type of thing everyday, as I had three sets of the same clothes. I contemplated shaving, but changed my mind. I instead washed my beared savagly, almsot ripping all the hairs out. I combed it, along with my hair, and gazed at myself in the mirror. If I wanted to, I could've become quite the ladies man, but I didn't want to. My beard was usually nappy, dirty, and matted. I like it that way. It made me look rough, and it made people not want to mess with me. I never liked much attention.
    I gathered my things, shuddering slightly as I remembered the dream. I'd had dreams like that for most of my life, but I'd never seen the face, and the setting was always foggy and dark, so I couldn't tell where I was.
    I thanked the inn keeper, leaving the money required on the counter. Gaden was a wonderful place, being much more sightly than the Tribe, but with not as many pubs as Gigarl. The palace was just down the crooked road, and I smiled warmly at people as they walked by, and was returned with a warm smile by the majority of the women, but with a scowl by their male companions. The town brought out the true me, and completely erased the remnants of the dream from my mind.
    I came upon the palace, astonished at it's massiveness. I'd been there many times before, but I never bothered to take a good look at the castle. Suddenly, I was accosted but a burly looking guard.
    "What is your business here?!" he asked forcefully, trying to intimidate me with his size. I grinned, and handed him the scroll I had recieved. He apologized for his rudeness, and allowed me into the castle. A servant showed me to where I was to go, and instead of an empty room like I'd expected, it was full of peeple. A few stood out more than others, however.
    "Hi," I said, clutching my bag, a slight grin on my face. I figured that they had also recieved a scroll. I would've normally been upset with having to travel with other people, but with the recent dreams I'd been having, I wanted someone nearby who could comfort me.
    Do or do not. There is no try.
    Talon
    "His Majesty is awake and will be with after making himself.......decent," another servant told us after a while.
    I could help but giggle. I wonder how much makeup he has to put on? I sat at the table and grabbed a bunch of grapes. There are only so many things you can eat with a beak.
    "I wonder what made the king summon us here," Riko said out loud.
    That made me think. I was a good fighter, but I could think of people in my village that could defeat me easily. Maybe it was lineage. Whatever it was, I was getting sick of all this war. "All I know is that whoever is causing chaos will have his blood stain my scythe." I picked up my scythe and swiped it above the fruit bowl, splitting an apple in half. The others stared at me. "Sorry, I'm a little anxious," I lied with a smile.
    RIKO
    " Maybe tonight we'll fly so far away."
    Harpy - M
    *
    Riko shrugged slightly, as he saw Talon talk about war and he seemed eager for bloodshed. Riko understood how some thing like a war of some sorts would get him eager to end it... but Riko had his doubts. What exactly was their mission... and how in the heavens would just a few of them uphold it?
    Everyone here must have a unique and special power... some thing that seperates them, but united together we make up a powerful whole with our seperate powers piecing together intricately.
    But then again.. .how would the King possibly know of all the creatures, and pick the best ones out?
    Maybe he has a seer with him..
    Or maybe they were just random numbers selected out of a hat for a suicide mission. Whatever the case may be... it seemed like it was taking the old man forever to get ready.
    Sighing.. Riko looked to Masashi and then over at Makina, then Jeremiah. They were closest to Riko, and with his neatly folded wings Riko began to ponder to himself shortly..
    " Maybe he's ill." Riko suddenly said, his own sudden abruptness coming from him. Makina looked at him strangely..
    "Ill? I'm sure if he was ill we would know about it." Riko nodded.. knowing that she was most likely right.
    "Who knows what is taking so long... if he was ill, I wonder why he would risk getting worse by summoning us." Masashi said, glancing nervously at Riko and Makina. Jeremiah nodded, looking at Riko.
    " I hear footsteps."
    They all paused.. and Riko indeed, did hear echoing footsteps coming to them from the otherside of the hall. Suddenly large doors began to open slightly, and a new servant came forward. His hair was neatly tidied, with sable color to match his rich and pale face- he reminded Riko of a boy.
    "The King may see you now."
    Riko nodded, and with out the slightest hesitation he began to walk forward in a strong gait. Although Riko was graceful in the air, upon the ground Riko walked tall, strong and rather boldly for a Harpy. Most Harpies were known for being of delicate bodies and slightly akward upon land... but Riko seemed to be the oppisite. He stood strong, firm and was anything but delicate- it was a wonder how he could ever become graceful in the air.
    "Well.. I believe our answers will be called forth to us." Riko said, smiling as he looked to the others with a playful sparkle in his eye.
    Ara ara.. thousand apologies... *mutters*IamSOsickofwrappingsweets!!!andthoseevilp eoplewritesuchlongmessagestheythinki'msofreetowrit eforthemEVILEVILEVIL*grumble, mutter, etc*
    Yessssss... gomen na... hopefully, I'm not going to be kicked out for inactiveness...
    ---------------
    Name: Regan de Tempscire
    Age: 27
    Gender: Female
    Race: Um.. human? *sweatdrop* However, if too many humans sign up, I'll edit this.
    Class: Projectilist
    Appearance: She is a blonde of the type that has hair that is nearly white coupled with a nut-brown complexion. Her hair is chopped off at the nape of her neck, but she has two long locks on either sides of her face (oO;; I dunno how to describe this.) Her eyes are pale ice blue. She has slightly elongated canines on her teeth (she's not a vampire, it's just to make her even scarier than she already is ^^. She is thin, about 5'10" and wears severe black dresses of the high-necked Victorian variety, but you'll be surprised at how quickly she can move. Her boots are black, hobnailed and very, very hard.
    Personality: She is very proud, and has an ego. (erm.. hehe??) She is also extremely frightening when she wants to be, and could win a staring contest with a snake. With that said, all she's really trying to be is good. (<-- riiight...) She's kind in her own way, and has more common sense than the average person. She enjoys arguing, gaining others' respect and pissing people off in general.
    Weapon Class: Projectilist- Knives, shuriken, kunai, etc, etc... she keeps all sorts of stuff in her pockets. She used to want to be a Sorceress, but then decided that throwing sharp things at people was more educational and entertaining. Although she is best at throwing knives/kunai, she's also passable with a dagger, or hard, hurty things like the occasional brick.
    Magic: n/a
    Relationships: None, really. She knows everyone in Gigarl and Harpy Forest by sight, but I don't think that really counts as anything ^^;
    Hometown: Her family was originally from Gigarl, then shifted to Bugdoniel, but has since moved to Harpy Forest, not being able to stand the neighbouring pub's many instances of unwanted, badly-sung 'free karaoke'; nor 'all that bloody dust' in Bugdoniel.
    Other: Childhood friend of Masashi. Well, insofar as you can call her a friend, anyway... she's supremely antisocial. xD;;
    Kuso, I don't know how to do fancy writings. xD;;
    'I've got more important things to do than save the kingdom from eternal ruin. The privy needs digging, the roof needs rethatching...'
    -------------------------
    Regan inspected the crepes suzette minutely. She poked it suspiciously with one of the number of smaller forks that were laid at her place at the table (she was amazed at how many there were. they all probably had fancy names. and the napkin! gold edged, lace bordered. regan had scoffed at it. at home her own napkins were plain flannel and infinitely easier to wash than the gilt contraptions before her, and therefore, she was one step above the king himself in terms of table equipment). The other chosen ones were chatting among themselves, including that softie Masashi. Regan preferred to involve herself with terrorizing the general population of the palace into submission.
    "What's this called?" she asked one of the servants standing nearby. The victim, out of some innate survival instinct, immedately stood to nervous attention.
    "I-I think it's a kind of food, ma'am."
    "That much is obvious from this thing Ai am currently hoverin' below your nose. What exactly is it?"
    "Here's the menu, ma'am."
    She opened it.
    She read it.
    The de Tempscires as a collective family are noted for their great proficiency in magic and knife-throwing, and also for their literal mindedness. Their spelling is atrocious, they mistrust the printed word and their ability to apparently grasp the wrong meaning of almost any non-oral message is legendary. Regan was no exception.
    She forebore to comment, but she rose from the table, dabbed her lip with the gold-edged napkin decorously and strode over to the group of formerly happy, relaxed persons of different species brought together for an unknown purpose. Regan radiated tension onto people. It was probably something in the look and bearing of her that made people so.
    Most people tended to think that she lacked people skills, but Regan was very aware that she had quite a lot of those. She just didn't feel like using them, when being unpleasant got her things much faster and in a more satisfying way. Besides, it was all for the greater good. People needed realists like her.
    She had had no problem understanding the letter (although she still had her misgivings) and getting there; the guards hadn't even questioned her being there. They hadn't seen her before, but they didn't need any persuading to see that it would go very hard for them if they didn't open the gates at once.
    To some extent, Regan hadn't counted on Masashi turning up. She hadn't seen him since ten years ago in Gigarl. Her last words to him had been 'Toughen up, you lazy bugger!' yelled from the top of the coach running from Gigarl to Bugdoniel. So, he'd gone and gotten himself ordained, proving his outlook on life hadn't changed. Excellent.
    Well, well, well. There was a harpy, a good-looking one; a nervous sorcerer; a tough-looking birdwoman; a sorceress; and a dragonman who had just walked in. She leaned against the marble wall a short distance away from them, and listened and thought her own thoughts. The birdwoman quite plainly felt strongly about the warring.
    A servant, no more than a pipsqueak, announced that the King was ready for viewing, or some such nonsense. The harpy, Riko, led the way with some measure of charisma. Regan had not much use for charisma (to her most sundry pleasantries meant fooling others, and it remained to be seen how long you could fool others before they found out that you knew that they knew they were fooling around and were going along with the farce, and vice versa). She thought she'd seen him before; he was a wanderer, and din't often come home to Harpy's Forest, but Regan remembered faces. This harpy had the type of face you couldn't easily forget, anyway. It was an entirely too pleasant face.
    She elbowed Masashi in the ribs as they walked. "Since when did you feel the calling of the priesthood?"
    "Well.. I believe our answers will be called forth to us."Riko said after the servant came, saing the king was ready. Riko said that with a sparkle of playfullness in his eyes-probably the most cheerful harpy I've seen in ages. Though...that would only count for a half of year.As we walked towards the kings residance, I looked at each of the people here..
    'I'm nervous..'I convinced myself,'Everyone's quite older than me. Especially that Male Warrior. And that was true. I've only been doing my "sorcery" for about 10 or so years, while everyone was probably doing what they do for longer. I plastered a fake smile while not paying attention to what the other people were saying.
    'I'm only 18, what would the King want of me?' I thought more, as I held a tight grip on my staff, which was producing a light jingle as I walked.I played around with my charm, as my scar on my back started to burn, but I yet paid no attention to it. I smiled more, as my hair kept on getting in my face.
    'Hey,Ma...would you be proud of me to know that the king called upon me?'I thought to myself. My mom was dead for a while now, dieing in Socery Combat. It was then I turned away from Priestess-hood and decided to be a Soceress.I always missed her, and knew I couldn't be as good as her.
    And when I was done thinking, we had came beforth the king, and everyone was bowing to him--besides me. I quickly blushed, and bowed..
    "Heh.."
    CT: That's great! Hope to hear more from you soon! ^_^ That sucks that you got grounded again...
    ~~~~~~~~~~
    Masashi's Eyes
    ~~~~~~~~~~
    A third servant of the king appeared in the large corridor. "His Majesty is prepared to see you now..." the fair woman announced to us. "He wishes to speak with you all at once." She waited at the doors of the room as we all gathered, preparing to leave the massive room.
    When we had all gathered, she led us out of the meeting room, down hallway, up stairs, and through various rooms and sections of the beautiful castle. "Since when did you feel the calling of the priesthood?" Regan asked me as we followed closely behind our guide.
    "I don't know... I guess, in case I ever saw you again, I could cast the Devil from you. But I realize that you ARE the devil!" I giggled at the comment, but I suddenly felt the size of a mouse. Her piercing eyes, being as sharp as they were, went right to the soul of my being. "Eeep..." was the only noise I could make at the deathgrip her eyes had on me. She raised her hand to whack me across the head; a solid "thud" was heard by all that were there. "OUCH!"
    We finally arrived at the King's royal chambers for the summoning. Two guards blocked the door and did not move until the woman servant spoke to them of our asked services. The moved aside, allowing the girl to push the doors open enough to let us all in.
    Approaching the King, we stood in two lines, staggered so that he could see all of us. We knelt before him to show our respect as rose to signify that we were ready to begin.
    "I have called you all here to be part of an investigative experiment in the desert village, Bugdoniel." The King explained, "Recently, strange happenings have occured in the deserts to the west of the village. An evil force has been eminating from the area, according to some of the villagers in the outskits of the town." I noticed and wondered why Regan was shaking her head in agreement with him, but I then remembered that Bugdoniel was where she moved to after she lived in Gigarl. "I have asked each of you in particular because you have shown signs of being related to those 6 that had defended this world in the past. I want you all to travel to Bugdoniel to collect information in town and search for signs of this so-called "Evil" in the desert."
    The King explained a few more unnessicary facts about the past and finished the breifing about the mission. With that, he had one of his OTHER servants hand each of us a unique item. Once the gifts were given, he bid us a fine "Farewell and Good Luck!" The woman slave then led us back out of the room and out of the castle.
    "His Majesty has instructed me to tell you to rest well at the inn and leave early the next morning." The girl informed us when we were back over the moat's bridge. "Good luck..." She turned at went back to the castle...
    "Well, I guess we know what we have to do." I said to the still cluttered group. "We should all meet back at the inn just before sunset and prepare for our journey. Well, I'll see you guys later! I'm going to the Pub to get a bit to eat! Anybody that wishes to join me is welcome to..." I licked my lips at the thought of lunch and left the group, heading towards the pub...
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

    Here is the item, and description of it, that each person recieves (Just make a mental note of what you got for future referense):

    Masashi - Miracle Mango (Restores Body and Mind to full power)
    Regan - Banshee Tear (fixes a condition like being charmed for paralyzed)
    Makina - Warp Wing (instantly teleports party to a previous visited location)
    Jeremiah - Rations Kit
    Jewel - Life Root (Bring one character back from the dead)
    Riko - Peppermint (Restored Body to full power)
    Talon - Magic Shield (Creates a temporary barrier that reduces physical damage)
    L'vatar - Dragon Horn (Paralyzes an opponent)

    Sorry if the item thing seems strange, but it'll be part of the story line later...

    After Masashi left towards the local pub,I decided togo back to the inn, to rest up. Also, dad had packed me enough sandwiches to last me a lifetime. Not like I didn't have the money to out, but I would much rather eat something my dad made me.
    'How I miss you already,Pops.'I smiled, looking up at the sky as I said my goodbyes to the group for now, not paying attention to who was going back to the inn or not.I then looked back at my left hand,which held that strange item that the King's Servant gave us..

    "Wonder what this is?!?!"I asked myself as I made it upon the Inn. I made it into my room, and locked it behind me. If anyone wanted to come in,they would have to knock. I placed my Staff besides the table, and sat on the bed, my black hair going over my shoulders. I grabbed at the Sack that Pop's gave me.It was white, with the writing "Solace" on it. I opened it to reveal Turkey(Roasted) and Cheese Sandwiches, wrapped in Cookie Paper. I smiled, Grabbing one.

    "Thanks."I smiled, and opened the paper up, and took one of the halves of the sandwich. I bit into it slightly, looking at the item-which I placed on the desk besides the bed. I felt slightly weird around it..

    "Pfft..It's nothing.."I told myself. I then looked at the sandwich, and thought of my dad...
    'How I wish I was back in Solace with you..'I thought. I had pictured in my mind...Dad teaching his students priesthood,Brother was in the bunch.I almost missed the loudness and all the yelling...and the chaos...

    Question:When are we gonna learn what Magic our character has?Just wondering...hhehhehehe.

    Regan wants something she can torture people horribly with. :D

    regan de tempscire.|f|projectilist|human
    --------------

    The first thing Regan did when given her own special thingumajig was inspect it. She did everything a professional checking for a fake would do, up to and including the age-old test of biting carefully down on it to ascertain its genuinity. It left a slightly bitter-saltish taste in her mouth.
    So. A Banshee's Tear, eh? What's the old buzzard trying to suggest?
    She considered stomping back into the room and shoing a knife down his throat for daring to compare her, the lovely and fair Regan de Tempscire, to a banshee, but decided against it, if only so that she'd be more free to attend to the business in Bugdoniel. Her clan was there. Annoying as they were, she ometimes missed getting into protracted arguments with everyone else in the house. (normal people were much too pacifist.) She'd have to think. She'd have to have a working plan.
    But in order to have a working plan, she'd have to know exactly what was going on there first, and to do that she'd have to wait till the whole jolly band was done about their business and on the road to the desert shanty.

    Gah.

    Masashi had gone to the pub; Makina the sorceress had immediately made for the inn. Regan felt like biting someone's head off just for the heck of it, and headed off in search of suitable victims.
    She gravitated towards the bustling marketplace like a pin drawn to a magnet, and thus busied herself haggling with the vendors, debating with the soapbox protesters and generally making herself known and feared throughout the city until it was time to get back to the inn.

    I watched absentmindedly as three of the other's left, just nodding at them as they walked by. Masashi was heading towards the local pub to grab a bite to eat. Makina was going back to the inn to rest up, and Regan was making her way towards the marketplace. The woman seemed menacing...I wondered breifly why she was needed on this journey. I nodded at the others, and walked off, making my way to the pub, following behind Masashi. I wasn't hungry, but I was in need of a light beer.

    I walked swiftly behind Masashi, calling out to him as I closed the remaining distance between us in a few steps.

    "Wait up!", I yelled, stopping just in time to keep from plowing into his turning figure. "You headed towards the pub?", I asked. The question hung in the air for just a brief moment. Masashi looked me up and down, seemingly studying me. It seemed like he was looking through me. The moment past quickly, and he answered my question.

    "Yes, yes I am. You're the dragonman?" Now it was my turn to study him. He was a lot smaller than me. That was something I hadn't noticed at the palace. He was very pale, compared to my near bronze tan, and his eyes were a mix of hazel and green. As the same with my question, his question hung in the air for a second before being answered.

    "Yes. I'm Ill'uvatar." I put my hand out from him to shake it, and he clasped it immediately. I hadn't taken the time to formally introduce myself to anyone at the palace.

    "You a priest?"
    Do or do not. There is no try.

    OOC: RA: That's fine. Just as long was we see you back soon! Enjoy yourself!

    PH: You'll be getting them as soon as we get to Bugdoniel! It's somewhat part of the plot! But I promise, you'll get them!

    Masashi's Eyes
    ~~~~~~~~~~
    As I left the group, I noticed Makina go towards the Inn, but I also notice Regan direction. She was heading to the marketplace. "Probably going to strike fear in the hearts of all she sees. What a demonic woman!" I massaged my forehead in disbelief of her persistant attitude...
    I soon felt a presence following behind me as the Pub came closer into view. The scent of strong ale and various other liquors became more noticable as I neared it, making me turn almost drunk from the sensations the smell gave me. In my half conscience body, I head a voice call from behind me. "Wait up!" I didn't recognize the voice at all, but when I stopped and turned about, I realized the face, rather than the voice. It was the Dragonman, Illu'vatar, that was apporaching me from the group. "You headed towards the pub?"
    As he came closer, into clearer vision, I looked him over, almost searching for any evil within him. I grasped his soul for a moment before I answered. I flashed out of the momentary trance and replied, "Yes, yes I am! You are the Dragonman, am I correct?"
    He nearly did the same as we stood there for another awkward moment; his eyes penetrating my skin as though I was a ghost. "Yes. I'm Illu'vatar." He stated, putting out a hand in greeting. I took his hand as a sign of a newfound friendship. "You a priest?"
    "Yes, and I can sense that you are a very good man at heart! Let's get going! I've got money I want to blow away!" I abruptly turned towards the Pub again. It began to have a magnetic effect on me as I felt the irresistable attraction of the alcohol to my lips. Illu'vatar followed closely behind, but not quite as hypnotic as I had been...
    Illu'vatar
    Odd... I thought silently, watching as Masashi walked towards the pub, seemingly already intoxicated. I've never seen alchohol have this effect on anyone before... As we got closer to the pub, I began to take notice of the odd looks Masashi was getting. He oddly reminded me of moths drawn to light. I hope ths problem isn't to serious...
    We walked slowly into the pub, and as Masashi drunkily wandered to the bar, I observed and studied every individual in the bar. I'd been in many bar fights, and had not been taken by suprise in all but one. My very first. I learned quickly to deciphre the feelings and meanings of the drunken men in the bar. I always knew whether one was going to attempt to attack me. I pulled my coat back to reveal my katanas, to warn anyone who attempted to take advantage of me, and took a seat next to Masashi, who'd already ordered his drink.
    "I'll have whatever he has," I said sternly to the bartender. From the stares I was getting, I began to wish I'd left my beard matted and rough. I looked older and tougher like that, and drew a lot less attention. But I'd combed it, and to make matters worst, I made myself stand out even more by showing everyone my katanas. My eyes darted back and forth across the room, intent on identifying any threat. Masashi was blind to all this, or at least, I thought he was, and he continued to sip his drink. Right when I'd focused my attention back to the bartender, after drinking for a little more than twenty minutes, and I'd ordered another drink, a man, much larger than me, grabbed my shoulder, and swung me around. I hesitated to unsheath my katana's.
    "Ay, pretty boy...th...thi...this is m-m-my seat...ssso ge-get yur' *** u-up!"
    He drew his hand back to slap me in the face, and as it came down, I slid to my left, moments before his massive fist slammed down onto the place I had once been. The thundering sound of the counter breaking seemed to snap Masashi out of his drunken bliss.
    "What is this?!" he screamed, although it was kind of politely.
    "Yur' per-r-rty friend was sit...sitin' in m-my go...god...in my damn seat! Now I got...gotta kick hi...his ***!"
    He swung again, and I expertly ducked under his arm. I focused on Masashi, demanding him to look my way. When he did, my eyes told him that I could handle the situation, and return to his drinking. He nodded, and sat back down. In that fraction of a second, the burly man swung his massive forearm at my, with amazing speed for someone so big. I was caught off guard, and had less than enough time to jump out the way. His forearm caught me across my right shoulder, just as I was moving away. It was safe to say I was pissed. In an instant, one of my Katana's was in my hand, slicing through the air. I knicked him on his left shoulder, then cut across his chest, stopping just at his waistline. The manuever took less than a second to execute. I dropped to the ground, spinning, and extended my leg, tripping him to the floor. Millisecond's later, my blade was at his throat, and four other men had risen. He gulped, with a pleading look in his eyes. Keeping the blade at his throat, I turned to the other men.
    "If you want to live, sit down." My voice was stone cold, and I could feel my temper rising. My eyes were starting to turn into those menacing eyes I'd seen in my dreams...
    I snapped back to reality, and took my blade from the man's throat. I helped him up, helped him dust off his vest, and I even helped him to his seat. He and his friends looked terrified and amused at the same time. I sheathed my blade, and walked over to Masashi.
    "I'll be outside," I whispered, ordering another drink. I excited the pub, and sat on a tree stump just a few feet away from the door.
    Do or do not. There is no try.
    Talon
    I looked at my new gift, some kind of shield. "It will be hard to fight with both this and my scythe. But I'm sure it will be very useful to me." I watched the others go their different ways and began to follow Regan, but decided to stay out of her way as I watched her fiercely argue with the shopkeepers. "Perhaps I should go to the pub."
    The first familiar face that I found as I neared the pub was the dragonman. He was sitting on a tree stump and looked a little...out of it. "Are you alright?" I softly asked him.
    He looked up. "Yeah. Just got into a little fight. Aren't you the birdwoman that I saw in the castle?"
    I smiled and nodded. "Yes. My name is Talon. What's yours?"
    "Illu'vatar."
    "It's very nice to officially meet you, Illu'vatar. I think I'll go in for a minute." I walked inside and saw another familiar face. Near him was a large man who wore scratch marks. He took one look at my scythe and quickly turned away. I walked to him and grabbed his shoulder. "Something tells me that you've already been in trouble. Am I right?"
    "N-n-no!"
    I laughed heartily. It made him curl up in fear. "Don't worry! I'm not here for trouble!" I left him and went up to the bartender. "I'll have what he's having." I pointed to the one named Masashi. He looked like he was in quite a state of bliss. "On the other hand, just give me some water. I would like to stay sober. Although this fellow sure looks happy!"
    Jeremiah
    Jeremiah found his room in the inn and place his belongings on the bed. He began to wonder about his new fellow warriors.
    "We are all strong individually," he thought aloud, "but can we work as a team?"
    The answer to this question escaped him. He felt he could rely on Riko to fight along side him, but wasn't too sure about some of the rest. The female projectilist, Regan, was too apathetic, in his opinion. Mutual concern among warriors is a must for them to survive on the battlefield. Simply put, they must watch each other's back. Jeremiah didn't feel that Regan was the kind to do so. Next his thoughts wandered to Talon, the young, strong birdwoman who decided to sever the apple in two. Talon was too eager for battle, in Jeremiah's opinion. Her anxiousness to fight might be her downfall. He figured he would see how things work out. Perhaps, he might be wrong.
    After making sure his belongings were ready to go in the morning, Jeremiah figured he would take Masashi's invitation to join him at the pub. A hardened warrior like Jeremiah fully understood the comfort that a nice ale or lager would bring.
    Jeremiah then made his way to the pub. He warmly greeted Illu'vatar before entering the pub to find Masashi. Talon was there as well, but was drinking only water. Despite his reservations about Talon, he figured that becoming her friend my increase her concern for him in battle.
    "Is that strong aqua?" Jeremiah asked Talon with a half-smile on his face. She chuckled and invited him to sit beside her.
    "I see that Masashi is enjoying himself," said Jeremiah.
    "Yes, apparently he was acting like this before even reaching the pub. That is what Illu'vatar told me."
    Apparently, a visit to the pub was a common thing for Masashi.
    "Well, as long as he can stop drinking long enough to fight, I have no problem with him," Jeremiah joked. However, he knew that this could cause severe problems later on. He would have to speak to Masashi about it.
    Jeremiah ordered a dark, rich ale and began to sip it. His mind began to wander and he thought about his father.
    "I hope I can live up to his legend," Jeremiah thought to himself.
    His next thoughts were of the item that had been given to him. It was a simple rations kit. Every item seemed to have some sort of magical power or unique attribute aside from his.
    "Why did I receive this?" he pondered and then took another sip from his glass.
    RIKO
    *
    "It's not real, but it's...."
    Harpy - M
    *
    *
    Riko watched as everyone went off in their own seperate ways. He watched them, unmoving as they all walked forward. Fluttering his wings he exited the castle and watched the sun slowly began to set past the castle walls. He felt a sudden urge... to spread his wings and fly over the sea... but he surpressed the feeling. Instead he looked to the item given to him- a pepperment stick.
    "Are they implying my breath stinks?" Riko thought, chuckling at his own joke knowing that his breath did not stink and that for some reason this item was given to him. He didn't feel like eating it now... which was odd, since Riko had a very strong taste for candy. Shrugging, figuring for some reason a seer must know why he needs this... he placed it in a little bag he had with him. It was just plain leather, black leather... ladled in silver in the rims and it hoisted around his muscular torso with ease. Feeling rather stuffy, Riko began to walk around the quieting town.
    Many people, who obviously had not ventured far out into the world gave him an odd look. His wings were not exactly normal.. and Riko just nodded and smile. Feeling rather stuffy, Riko's skin around his wings were it met his back began to itch. Slowly Riko took off his sleeveless shirt, exposing his total upperbody. His skin was nicely tanned, but not overly so and the three claw-like scars across his right pectorial muscle was easily shown. They weren't huge, but actually cleanly cut. Flapping his wings instantly, Riko rolled up his shirt and put it in his leather sack. His emerald, striking eyes gazed about as a few of the small children heading home gazed at him.
    "Look! It's a Bird Man!" One of them said, and Riko turned to the children...
    Most Harpies would have taken offense to that, and with some Harpy sharp-temper, they would have yelled or even struck the child. It was an insult to some... but Riko only smiled.
    The young child walked up to him..
    "... are you a bird man?" The small child with a clean complexion, deep brown eyes and a soft round, chubby face asked with bewilderment.
    "Naw... I'm called a Harpy. I'm a human with wings."
    The child nodded, as Riko knelt down next to him, as the child's sister gazed on... feeling shy. Riko looked to her and smiled.
    "Want to touch them?"
    He fluttered his wings forward slightly, so that the little boy petted the soft... silky feathers which shinned in the setting sun. Soon t he girl too came forward, and she touched his remarkably healthy and soft feathers.
    "They're so soft... like fur.." The girl whispered.
    Riko nodded, but suddenly a call rang through the air from far away. The two little kids got to their feet.
    "That's mommy! See yah later Harpy Man!" The little kid said, and the girl blushed.
    "Bye!" She almost whispered, as she took off after her brother. Riko simply smiled and got to his feet again. It was getting rather late... so Riko decided to head back to the Inn.
    As soon as he arrived, he was hit with a wave of emotion and sounds. It seemed that Masashi had a lot of the pub in him, and Jeremiah seemed to be enjoying himself as well. Several of the others who were to be on the same mission as Riko were there as well. RIko noticed that Jeremiah was talking to Talon, and immediatly Riko seemed to trigger a smile.
    "Hey Riko!" A voice echoed, and Riko nodded and held his hand up in a sign of greeting.
    Riko sat by Jeremiah and Talon for a second, ordering a simple glass of water to drink as he listened to Jeremiah and Talon speak. Riko said little at first, as he simply drank the water.
    "Riko, don't drink liquor?" Jeremiah asked, glancing at him as Riko shrugged.
    " Some times... but if we are going to go on a mission, I want to remain physically apt and ready."
    Talon nodded, "Well... Mr. Shirtless, you seem to be doing some thing right."
    Riko remembered he had taken off his shirt, and if he wasn't slightly tanned, he would have blushed only a tad bit.
    "Well... I suppose thankyou." Riko was finished with the water, and he got up.
    "It was rather hot outside.... and the shirt is uncomfortable- I don't like it much. I think I shall be getting some sleep... Goodnight and I look forward to seeing you all tomorrow."
    With that he walked upstairs to his room... gazing back slightly- which was a mistake.
    Soon he felt himself bump into some thing, and tha tsome thing fell down (Riko always did walk pretty swiftly)
    "Oh! Sorry!" RIko immediatly said, turning his piercing green gaze to whom he knocked over...
    Makina Radana
    I had dozed off before, probably only for a hour or so.I wasn't tired..just bored. I didn't go to the pub since...a lot of the one's I've been to had thrown me out for being only 18..
    And I hated the smell of liquor.
    So I had went downstairs to a little place the inn had to get some supper, and prolly a pitcher of water to bring back into my room. I took my staff along for the walk, and soon found myself on the floor of the inn...
    "Oh!Sorry!"It was Riko that automatically said something. He turned his emerald eyes onto me as I regathered myself. I sat up, and looked at him..
    "It's no problem."I smiled. My staff fell when I did, and landed not to far. Riko reached his hand out, and I grabbed onto it, soon finding myself standing up, streching my ankle which probably got twisted..Nothing a little sleep can't cure.
    "You sure?"He asked, as I looked into his haunting emerald eyes. I quickly blushed, but then regained a firm pose..
    "I'm ok...I'm just going to get something to eat, then I'm going back to my room."I told him, bending down and reaching for my staff. I started to walk past him, smiling out of his view.
    "Didn't go to the pub?"He asked. I nodded slightly, and giggled for a second..
    "I hate liquor.."I told him,"I'll see you later."
    And with that, we walked our seperate paths--Riko to his room, and I was going to get something to drink.
    Ehh..someone include Makina in their next post.^^
    Regan de Tempscire.|F|Projectilist
    "You play discus with me and I'll play discus with you."
    ---------------
    Regan returned in triumph to the inn, having made several purchases for considerably less than the selling price that she had sent back to her cottage on the outskirts of Harpy Forest by the post. She kept a small box of tea on her person, though. She liked tea. Much better than coffee, and it didn't make you drunk.
    (she used to like small amounts of beer in the evening, and she even distilled her own special brand of scumble back home, but she was sure it was not proper to get drunk because if you did then where would she and the rest of her colleagues be? drunken sots in a tavern, that's where they'd be. they needed at least one sober person to make sure everything didn't go to seed.)
    She had the most absolute faith that most, if not all of her fellows were in the tavern. The confirmed pubhopper was definitely Masashi. If he had any luck, the dragonman or the sorcerer, who both seemed quite responsible, would follow him to keep an eye on him. Masashi went all to pieces around liquor. When they were kids in Gigarl he'd be the one begging the barkeeps shamelessly for drinks. And the worst thing was, he couldn't even hold his drink properly. (regan could outdrink him by at least five mugs, but regan tended to forget that she held her drink much better than even the most seasoned sots.)
    She resolved to make a visit to the pub after having supper.
    Going into the inn, she passed Makina, who was presumably also heading for the pub. She acknowledged her with a laconic "Going to the public house, aren't you."
    "Oh, no," she replied pleasantly. "I'm just getting some supper and some water. I hate the very scent of liquor."
    "You're sensible," said Regan, and that was as much of a compliment as she ever gave anyone. In a flash of rare generosity, she proffered the box of tea to Makina. "Want some?'
    Illu'vatar
    After I'd drastically "cooled" off, I decided to head back to the inn to catch up on a little well-deserved sleep. I left without speaking to others, not wanting to go back into the pub. I walked slowly down the crooked trails, my head held low. No matter how much I tried, my thoughts wandered back to the dreams I'd been having, and the fight I'd had earlier. I silently prayed that that would never happen again.
    It took only a few minutes to get back to the inn. The streets were much less crowded in the late eveningthan in the morning. I guessed sinced the people did there chores in the morning, they'd have more time in the afternoon for other obligations. I stepped quietly into the inn, nodding at the innkeeper. He knew me by more than face. We'd been friends during childhood, and still quite were. He knew when I felt like talking, and now wasn't one of them. He tossed me a key, and went back to his business. as I neared the steps to the next floor, I got a painful feeling in my stomach. I winced, if only slightly. The pain was rather unexpected. I deciphred that I was indeed hungry, and made a sharp turn into the eating room. I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't notice my fellow colleagues. I sat at a table alone, far in the corner. A man came over to ask me what I wanted. I knew him, but not as well as the innkeeper.
    "Give me something with a lot of meat."
    He nodded, and walked off to the kitchen. soon my thoughts had wandered again, this time to the task at hand.
    What exactly are we supposed to be doing...and why am I needed...
    OOC: All my life are belong to them! I swear, if it's the last thing I do before I die, I'm going to blow up my school with a fusion bomb! I've had soooooo much homework this semester, It'll be enough work to last me 20 years! But I finally have a chance to catch up, now that it is the weekend!
    So, let's get this baby moving again!
    ~~~~~~~~~~
    Masashi's Eyes
    ~~~~~~~~~~
    My nerves felt as though they had turned to liquid as the rich alcohol ran down my throat. I knew that I couldn't drink too much, becuase of the journey, but it just sounded so good before we began. I took a mid-sized swig from my mug as Talon walked in. As she ordered, I slightly winced at the thought of water in a pub...
    Illu'vatar suddenly barged out, but I was oblivious as to why. Jeremiah came in soon after as well...
    "Well, I'm gonna finish this drink and head to the inn. This intoxication is making me drowsy." I said as I gulped down the last mouthful in my 4th cup. "See you in the morning, guys! Sleep well, we have a long journey ahead of us..."
    I stood, paid the waiter, and walked, extremely relaxed, to the inn. As I entered, I peered into a side room that looked like the breakfast part of a bed n' breakfast. It seemed as though everyone was getting a bite to eat. Makina and Regan sat together, Illu'vatar in a corner by himself, and Riko, who was heading towards his room. I got a key from the innkeeper, which happened to be the same as the one I had the night before. I strolled up the stairs and staggered slightly down the hall to my room. "3rd on the left... Here it is." I put the key in and opened the door...
    "EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKKK! Get out of here you pervert!" Some woman's ear-piercing screech passing through my head. A pillow from the bed came flying at me as I came out of my slightly oblivious state. I slammed the door shut, breathing heavily.
    "Sorry!" I yelled through the door. I counted back down the hall, realizing I went one too far. I walked to the door and opened this one. Thankfully, no one was inside this time. "I can't take another scare like that. I need some rest." I slumped out of my weighty garments and crawled into the semi-hard bed. "Ahhh..." I fell asleep almost instantaniously.
    *sleepy FF music plays*
    I awoke from a silent night, no dreams of any sort, "Alcohol usually does that to me." I dragged myself from the bed and dressed myself for the long journey before us. I packed my things, including the strange tropical fruit that the King had given me. "I wonder what this thing is supposed to do?"
    I made my way downstairs to see Riko already awake. I approached him asking, "You're up awefully early. Did you not sleep well?"
    If you could all do so, please get to the inn, rest through the night, and gather in the common room of the inn. There we will begin to discuss our course of travel. I hope you all have looked at the map...
    RIKO
    " Stones taught me to fly..."
    Harpy - M
    *
    *
    The bedroom Riko entered was rather welcoming despite how it had a ceiling. The house Riko lived in, had ceilings... but not his bedroom. Sure there was a pullover top, for rain... but for beautiful, cloudless nights it was open. He could lay in his bed full of down... and just stare up at the starry sky in a peaceful relaxation. Dreams often came to him... and he never had a nightmare that he could remember except as a child. However... Riko now had to go into a soft by human standards bed, but it was not nearly as soft and welcoming as his own room.
    I tis the same for all... however.. Riko thought, tucking his wings tightly upon his back as he removed his pants and layed it neatly over a table along with his pouch. He then went into the bed reluctantly and slept... the haunting dream returned to him.
    "What you are will finally come." A black, shadowy figure with glowing eyes stared down at Riko. Riko was naked in his dream... but he felt no shame, but he did feel shame because his wings were white like an angel. His black, golden dusted wings had always been a treasure to him....
    "You cannot escape your fate. Death or Life, you will choose and accept it. There is no turning back."
    The voice was stern, strong and tasted (if you could do that in a dream...) like the taste of death and emptiness. Riko was surrounding by nothingness... and although he knew nothing surrounded him but the figure, he could not tell what colors surrounded him except for that of the figure.
    Riko soon awoke. The dream would have continued... but being rather different, he always awoke when his mind needed no more rest. Harpies usually had only one period of REM, which they always remembered the dreams that occured- atl east Riko always remembered them. It just happened the dream had been cut short... as a child it would have continued.
    Although Riko was a bit startled to have a haunting dream, he didn't consider it a nightmare. He felt no fear in the dream... only oddity.
    Getting up and quickly putting on his pants and wrapped his pouch's hitch around his waist, and letting the pouch hang down his side, he opened it and found the tight-fitting, sleeveless black shirt he kept. Putting on it quiclky, he glanced in the mirror to see his hair a bit poofier than normal, but he was not bothered. Blinking, his green eyes remained as adament as ever...
    He then got up and went down to where breakfast would be served and he presumed everone would meet.
    He was the first one there... which to that he smiled and asked for a cup of tea. Soon he had hot tea in front of him (which he asked for a dusting of every spice and herb they had to be added) and he drank it greatfully. It warmed his body... he felt refreshed from the sleep, but his body tingled slightly from the odd sensation of a rather hard bed. Soon Masashi came down however...
    "You're up awefully early. DId you not sleep well?" Riko turned to look at him and he smiled.
    "Oh, I am fine.... I'm one who wakes early. What about you? Sleep well?"
    Masashi hesitated, and Riko soon laughed again.
    "Ah yes... you were intoxicated. Probably as well as one could." Masashi seemed slightly embarressed by how he reacted last night, but Riko sensed it.
    "Do not be worried about it... a few years ago I never tasted alcohol and tried it myself." Riko however went no further than that, but despite how early it was Riko still had a pleasant air about him.
    " Hopefully the others will awaken soon.. so we may d-" Masashi began, until suddenly footsteps alarmed them and Riko turned and smiled brightly when he saw who it was.
    "Well, good morning."
    Jeremiah
    After Masashi left, Jeremiah perceived it as a good time to go back to his room and call it a night.
    Jeremiah looked over at Talon, whom he had been sitting beside. She was still sipping some water. Now, Jeremiah had drank only one ale and was nowhere near intoxicated yet something about Talon was giving him strange feelings.
    Was it her wings, tan with black tips, or perhaps her enchanting and ever present smile? Jeremiah wasn't sure what attracted him to her. Maybe it was her apparent enjoyment of battle. Maybe that is what aroused Jeremiah the most when he thought about her. Even though he thought it foolish to show such enthusiasm for battle, secretly, deep down inside, he felt the exact same surge of energy when he imagined being out on the battlefield. He could feel adrenaline pumping through his veins as he visualized striking down his enemies.
    It was new to him to have such feelings for another person. He had never known his mother's love and his father treated him more like a companion than a son. Even more strange was that his first attraction was not towards another human. He never thought such a day would come.
    Jeremiah took a sigh and stuttered, "Wou--would you like to join me back at the inn?"
    "I can't be having with this sort of thing."
    ---------------------
    Regan bid Makina goodnight, having found her to have been a nice, if overly naive, person. She was mildly surprised that Masashi had returned before the cows came home, so to speak. She'd seen him out of the corner of her eye peeking into the dining room.
    She sat up for a while in bed. Regan required very little sleep. It was a leftover from the Gigarl days when her room backed onto the neighbouring pub where a certain off-key customer never failed to karaoke, very badly, every night, without fail. A leftover, much like Masashi, whom she tolerated because he was possibly the only person she could call friend. As she thought the word 'tolerated', she had a gut feeling that it wasn't right to use the word 'tolerated' with friends.
    She mulled for a while on this, about a lot of things, about forgetting to have proper fun with persons other than herself and keeping people at arm's length and the wisdom of doing so, and at length the part of Regan that was not soppy and romantic said, "I can't be having with this."
    However, the part of Regan that was soppy and romantic kept to itself and smiled and thought a secret something.
    *
    The next morning, Regan woke early and cranky. Always had, always would; though she did not make any move to go downstairs because she was poring over a map of their world, such as it was. She was deciding on a route, a topic she was absolutely sure no one else had bothered to touch on yet. She stared at the map.
    The most obvious route was through Weran; the way she had come. They could always go through the unnamed island north of Weran, or have a happy happy voyage sailing. What was certain was that once they got to the mainland, there was a high chance they'd get lost in the desert, and what with such a motley band, Regan wasn't sure she could handle guiding them all.
    Eventually she folded up the map, shrugging, and went down to have breakfast. Tea. Need tea.
    The only people down as yet were Riko and Masashi. Just what she wanted to see in the morning: cheerful people.
    Riko said, quite happily and with a warm smile, "Well, good morning."
    Regan's tone was the exact polar opposite of Riko's as she replied, "Morning, all." Need tea. Need tea. (what remained of her internal politeness factor didn't work until she had gotten her first caffeine dose. one of her lesser vices, caffeine was nonetheless paramount to the continued functioning of her senses.)
    After digging a teapot, a teacup, and a bag of leaf tea out of her pocket in rapid succession, she retrieved a sugarbowl and some hot water from the adjoining table. Two minutes and three seconds later she lowered her cup, and said, quite pleasantly for Regan: "We need a route. Anyone for tea?"
    Talon
    I managed to stay calm although Jeremiah kept looking at me. It was because humans did that to me all the time; they did that while looking for some smartass comment or question to tell me. The trick was to keep smiling and pretend that they were intelligent beings. I was expecting something similar to come out of Jeremiah’s mouth.
    “Wou-would you like to join me back at the inn?” he asked me.
    I stopped in mid-gulp as my calmness disappeared. I wasn’t expecting that. I swallowed hard and smiled again. “I wasn’t going to, but okay.” I grabbed my scythe and shield and followed Jeremiah out of the pub.
    What is with this human? No smartass comment or question, just “would you like to join me at the inn”? I glanced at him and relaxed. After all this time, I actually come across some tolerable humans!
    “I didn’t…upset you, did I? I mean, you looked a little ruffled at my question.”
    “No, not at all. It’s just that you’re one of the first humans that I’ve talked to that didn’t bombard me with stupid questions. Do you catch and eat mice? How do you use the bathroom? Do you use the bathroom while you’re flying?”
    “Those really are stupid questions."
    “I know, it’s annoying. And they get even worse! A lot of adults even ask me for some of my feathers! I punched one man out when he tried to yank off one of my tail feathers! I meet them everywhere and I don't know why.” I approached the desk and asked for a key. “I’m glad that not all humans are like that. Good night.” I climbed the steps and entered my room.
    Not bad, but I would rather sleep outside. I laid my things against the wall and sat on the bed, leaning against the wall. Why is Jeremiah so different? He’s the first person outside my own people that I would consider a friend. I cleared my mind and drifted off to sleep.
    ----------------------------
    My morning started with the usual wing feather preening. I left my room and joined the others. The one called Regan was sipping a cup of hot tea. “Good morning, everyone!”
    “You’re not going to split anything in half this morning, are you?” Regan asked me.
    “Not unless I have to! What are you up to right now?”
    “We’re trying to find the best way to the desert,” Masashi informed me.
    “I’m good with any route. Just make sure we’re not going by boat the whole way.” I dug in my bag and pulled out some of the fruit I got from the castle yesterday.
    Jeremiah
    After accompanying Talon back to the inn, Jeremiah made his way to his room and settled in for the night.
    The next morning he ventured down to the lobby, ready to begin the journey that he had prepared all his life for. His father told him once that his destiny was to become a great warrior like he was. For the first time, Jeremiah believed his father's words.
    Upon reaching the common room he noticed that the majority of the party had already awoken. His eyes met Talon's then quickly averted. Jeremiah didn't feel like his normal witty, humorous self, always waiting for the precise moment to spurt out some funny comment. Instead he felt nervous, like he was being judged. Jeremiah was in love.
    "Good morning, J," Talon said all bright and cheery, obviously ready for the day ahead.
    "A good morning indeed," said Jeremiah, "especially to be around such lovely company."
    Talon blushed and went back to eating her fruit and Jeremiah acquired some tea from Regan. He sat down next to Talon and begin to sip it. Talon then offered him an apple.
    "Only if you split it for me." Jeremiah joked.
    Talon happily agreed and quatered it with her scythe. Jeremiah, quite surprised at her ability to skillfully wield such a weapon safely in such a small area, began to munch on the juicy apple.
    "So when are we leaving?" Jeremiah asked.
    [center]RIKO
    [size=1]
    Harpy - M
    *
    Regan had offered tea and Riko declined it. "No... I have my own." Riko took a drink of it, as soon Talon and Jeremiah soon came down very close to the same time. Riko watched as Talon recieved fruit, and Jeremiah soon followed and joked about slicing fruit to Talon. Riko gazed deeply at Jeremiah as if observing an animal... and when Jeremiah's eyes met Riko's, Riko let a smile- but this one seemed to say, 'ah... met a 'friend'?'
    Jeremiah quickly looked away from Riko, embarressed it seemed.
    Riko didn't mind and simply smirked to himself in amusement, as he soon heard Jeremiah ask when they were leaving.
    "I would assume as soon as everyone is awake and has ate some." Regan replied, a little snippish. " We must leave as soon as possible... we should discuss what route to take."
    Everyone seemed to shrug, and Talon made it obvious she did not want to be among the waters very long.
    "Ah yes... Thermals over water are not very supportive for flight." Riko commented, as he continued- his tone not as cheery and happy anymore, but rather serious and down-to-business.
    "I think we should head through or above Weran. It would require perhaps some boat and walking. There would be some desert involved, but I don't think we'd have too much trouble. I've traveled through it before... and hopefully some of you have as well."
    Regan's eyes seemed to study Riko for a bit, and she nodded.
    "Yes... I have. I know it very well."
    Riko nodded, "That seems to be the most desirable choice I believe. Sea wouldn't be a very good option entirely because of freak storms and sea creatures, and with these times I wouldn't be surprised if the sea was unhappy about some of the strange occurances as of late. It might be unfriendly to passerbyes."
    Riko then took another sip of his tea, his tone light but yet down-to-earth when it came time to make decisions.
    Riko personally began to classify everyone to himself. Jeremiah he saw as a nice, easy going friend. Talon a bit rough around the edges, but nothing overly unfriendly. Regan seemed to be teh classic pessimist, but yet showed signs of some easing up. Masashi seemed loyal, dependable... except around liquor. Makina seemed pretty nice too...
    Riko blinked, snatching himself from his thoughts as he paid attention to the converstaion again. They seemed to be debating, but Regan was actually agreeing with RIko's idea.
    Makina Radana
    After Regan lent me some tea, I had gotten some soup(Tomatooo) and a cup of hot water for the tea bag, I soon found myself talking to Regan, who seemed...pretty nice...and I soon found myself out of soup and out of tea. I waved bye to Regan, and walked back to my room at the inn. I didn't bump into anyone on the way there,which was pretty uneventful..
    Once in my room, I locked the door behind me, and closed the window shades-just for a little privacy. I got changed into my Pajamas that dad packed me(It wasn't my idea!!^^; ), and laid down to bed,having my staff asides me....and I drifted off to sleep on a full stomach..
    --
    My dream was basically what I've been having dream's about lately.It was about mom, and when I was younger. She always tried to persist me to be a soceress..and this was basically her training me before her death...
    "Ughh"I awoke sleeply...probably after the others. With my eyes halfway open, I got changed and placed my pajama's in the sack I've been carrying around. I brushed my hair(and my teeth), and placed my sandals on. I then took the Warp Wing(It was just a single feather...why call it a wing?), and placed it in my pocket.Now ready, I made sure everything was intact, and with my staff, I made it down to the kitchen, still half asleep.
    I spent some money on pancakes for breakfast, and bought 2 pancakes and a glass of orange juice. I took that into the common room, where I found most of our "unique" bunch talking. I just sat down, carefully, without anyone noticing me nor my staff. I carefully watched them as they talked,eating silently.
    OOC: Sorry about my posts being so far and few... But as soon as this Saturday is over (that's the day of the Science Olympiad Tournament), I'll be getting on here a little more oftensince my schedule will be less busy! ^_^ Thank god for the invention of relief!
    ~~~~~~~~~~
    Masashi's Eyes
    ~~~~~~~~~~
    More and more of the team came walzing down from their personal rooms upstairs. The only one I had not seen make an appearance yet was Illu'vatar, but I slightly expected that of him, seeing as how he was one of the last to arrive for the briefing from the king.
    Many were discussing what route to take to the desert city, and I was merely absorbing and contemplating all the ideas that were mentioned. Taking boats, walking, etc, but my began to wander as the theme of the conversation became repetative. I looked over at Makina to saw her drinking OJ and keeping to herself, almost doing the same as I had done. That's when I noticed the quill of the Warp Wing the king gave to her in her pocket.
    "There's an idea!" everyone silenced themselves as I shouted out. "We can use that to get there!" Everyone looked at me like I had just cried 'Eureka' at some unneeded discovery; it was kind of spine chilling, the stares I got. Then I explained my sudden outburst, "Why don't we use Makina's Warp Wing to teleport us there. Since Regan lives in Bugdoniel and several of you have visited the place, we can transport ourselves there without any effort!"
    Invisible light bulbs lit above many of their heads as I spoke. I idea seemed unanamous amongst the party members. "You surprize me, Masashi. I thought you were still the simplistic child I knew you as." Regan remarked as she sipped at her tea.
    "I still am!" I shot down her attitude, "That's obvoiusly why I figured THIS one out!" I smiled a cheesy smile and sat down in a chair that was nearby. "Seeing as how we all agree on this course of action, we should prepare to leave within the next hour or so. Get something to eat, gather all of your things and meet at the Front Gate of the city."
    I left the group to tend to my own things in my room upstairs. I packed the few things I had into my small bag, thinking curiously about the ripe Mango that I had recieved from the King myself. I stuffed it into a safe corner of the pouch and left the small room to head to the gate of the city, joyous that we would finally be leaving this city. I was just a tad bit too much at once for a country-town man like myself...
    Hey, we don't need that kind of stuff. If you're going to post, put something benefitial to the RPG.
    And to answer your question, I don't believe she will be. I'll give her until Sat. to post, else I'll look for someone different to take that position.
    Illu'vatar
    Amongst the raging fire and flame stood a tall, dark clothed man with piercing emerald green eyes. His chest was bear, and bore a slash from left shoulderblade to right hip. In his hands were two katanas, both engulfed in a menacing flame. His mouth, though fuzzy at first, came into few. His voice was inaudible, but his lips could easily be read.
    "Soon Illu'vatar...soon you will be mine!"
    "Ahhhhhh!", I screamed, rolling out if bed, landing on the cold, solid floor. The chilling wood felt good against my naked body. As with my other dreams, I could feel the heat from the flames around me. I lay for what seem like hours, praying silently for the images to go away. I was slowly becoming terrified of myself. I was already afraid to look at mirrors, thinking that if I did, I'd see those same hateful green eyes of the man in my dreams. The eyes of myself in my dreams.
    Slowly, I climbed back up onto the bed, ripping the sheets off my body. My mind was swirling in all directions, all at the same time. I just wanted to get away. I rushed off my bed, and sprinted into the washroom. Running the cold water, I proceeded to thouroughly cleanse my face, before moving down to "other" areas. After I'd washed myself from head to toe, I dashed into the bedroom, ripping open my pack full of clothes. I immediatley changed into my normal earth tones gear. I didn't waste time combing my hair. I just ran a few fingers through i, to straighten it out.
    "The others must already be awake by now," I said to myself. I'd be really embarassed if I was the last one up.
    I threw on my boots, and bolted out the door, slamming face first into a familiar figure.
    Do or do not. There is no try.
