EV trouble

I've been raising my Kadabra to have 510 S.ATK EVs, but it seems he won't max out! I've been using the macho brace killing spindas and I've drained my 55 PP (ten psychic 15 elemental punches x3) 4 times, wich when added to the 7 calciums I gave him would equal 510 (440 from training + 70 from vitamins = 510)

Is therre some sort of limit to how many EV's can be placed in a single stat?

Provided you haven't battled anything that would give you any EV's other than Sp. Atk, you can still distribute the remaining 255 in other stats.
My suggestion for your Kadabra would be to put all 255 into Speed, Kadabra's 2nd most important stat.
