    ¯-The Absol Band ~ Desire of the Moon-¯

    Hacha, we start! Sorry it's been so long, I've had projects, and projects, and projects, and projects, and....excuses. XD The playing post is down below, but please read my sign-up again since I edited/added somethings. Thanks! I'm also going to dispatch PMs to all the players stating that we've started, since it's been awhile since sign-ups. The sign up topic can be found here. I'll update this if I think of anything else.

    NOTE: Sign-ups are closed!! PM me if you still want to join and I'll contact you if there are any openings.
    I'm rating this PG-13 just to be on the safe side. If someone's under 13 but mature, I'm sure they can handle it. There's probably not many people under 13 playing here anyhow, so.... ^^;

    For this, I want good and dedicated roleplayers. That doesn't mean that this has to be you're only RPG and you have to post everyday, no. I just want you to not "forget" about it and maybe post just once a week. Don't be surprised if I send you a PM if you don't post for awhile. Okay I'm glad that's over. XD If you need any help or have any questions, don't hesitate to PM me. I'm flexible. This is a people's RPG. That means I don't dictate everything, and so don't be afraid to make decisions, just don't kill any other players. ^^; The RPG is nothing without the players. Now for the plot!

    There is a group of six teenagers, known as the Absol Band. They ride the Pokémon world on their Absol partners, bringing justice to criminals and peace perpetrators. Their identities are unknown, except among each other, due to their fast comings and obstacles obscuring view of their faces. They have no official uniform, but can be known by the Absols they ride, making them unmistakable. All fear them, they the police of darkness that will haunt you with a most terrible fate if you cross their path or rub them the wrong way.

    Recently, civilians have been complaining about the Absol Band and questioning their intentions. Because of their forceful tactics, the members of the group have been seriously injuring and even killing their victims. The citizens have come to believe the band has gone blood-crazed, and riots assemble whenever the Absol band ride into town.

    The Absol Band realizes they must revert to their old style of bringing justice to criminals, lest they perish at the mercy of the higher authorities. In desperation, their destiny smiles and their secret elemental powers are revealed. Soon, they discover that they can channel their powers with their Absol, allowing it to use special attacks. Perhaps the powers were vested inside the Absols all along. Feeling rejuvenated, they work together even more so than ever to justify the wrongdoers, as benignly as wished for, appeasing all parties.

    However, a darkness always lurks in the shadows. They are no common criminal, but a greater evil who desires to overtake all. Without a doubt, the Absol Band has a new focus. With their Absol partners and newfound elemental energy, they will quell the evil that has arisen, and destroy their most malignant victim ever.

    Now, sign-ups. If more than 5 people want to join, that's fine, we can extend the limit. Of course, so making yourself uber-powerful. PM me with any questions. You're sign-up doesn't have to be super long, just not like three sentences. XD

    Now, for my sign up.
    Name: Ayame Swellow (aye-yah-may)
    Band codename: Distant Voice of the Divine Wind
    Age: 16
    Gender: female

    Appearance: Ayame has long brunette hair that goes down her back and three bangs on each side of her forehead that are spiky; their ends almost touch. Her hair flows behind her when she rides on her swift Absol. Her eyes are a dark and deep pinkish-red, maybe like the colour of this sign-up. There is always a look of determination in her eyes. Her skin is not pale, but not tanned. Sometimes her complexion seems like a soft glow. She is slightly built, about what is normal for a girl. She wears a dark purple robe over a white t-shirt and black jeans. The robe has a belt that she doesn’t tie but it hangs down. She either has leather flip-flops with white socks or wears no shoes or socks at all. She can sheath her sword on the back of her waste or on a sheath anchored on the side of her Absol.

    Personality: Ayame is intelligent and a good strategist, and also very independent, although she is not closed off to help from others. She is very adamant and serious about her duties in the Absol Band. However, she does know how to have fun, even though she believes there are designated times for it. She has a strong character and is respected for it. Ayame sort of believes in the Robin Hood theory of steal from the rich and give to the poor, but put her own twist on it and that’s what the foundation of the Absol Band became. Her voice is somewhat low for a girl but still light, and mostly authoritive sounding. She is friendly but has an odd way of showing it. Because she is quiet, she can appear to be the “mysterious girl.” Now, enough said.

    Element and powers: Wind/Flying. Ayame can create gusts, and control which way the wind blows. She becomes faster because she is carried by the wind. She can also create little whirlwinds if she puts her all into it.
    Other Pokémon: Flygon, Vulpix
    Additional weapon: Heavyblade katana (if anyone watches .hack//SIGN, then you are familiar with what Mimiru has)

    History: Her mother died when she was young due to complications with cancer. Since then, she lived with her father, who abused and beat her. She really missed her mother, who had abandoned her in her heart, still loved her on the outside. It was rumoured that the source of the cause of her mother’s death was that a criminal had forced her to eat an apple that had been poisoned, which resulted in the activation of the cancer cells in her body. Ayame vowed to avenge her mother, which is the other half of the reason why she created the Absol Band. Her father worked long hours, and often took out his frustration out of her. In her time spent alone, she perfected the Kizawa Otsubame style of swordsmanship (yes, I made it up) with her heavyblade katana, which was the heirloom of the family. At night, when she was 13, she heard her father talking to his friends. He was speaking of abandoning her because he found her as worthless and stupid (of course he was mistaken). She decided to run away, and leave her petty town life behind. She became a Pokémon trainer, eventually catching a Vibrava, an Absol, and a Vulpix. When she was 14, she met five other trainers who had Absols and was finally able to materialize her hopes of the Absol Band. She fought crime with her fellow group members. Despite their efforts and successes, she still felt a pit in her heart that she could not avenge her mother.

    Relationships: No friends other than her Pokémon and friends in the Absol Band. No crushes yet.
    Other: There is another bit of history that is TBR.

    You won’t ever play as your Absol, but there are still some things we need to know about them. ^.~

    [Absol]
    Name: Chiara
    Gem: A deep blue, ovaline Sapphire on her forehead.
    Attacks: Absols can learn Razor Wind naturally, but now Chiara can use Whirlwind, Aerial Ace, and Sky Attack. Also, Chiara can run in a type pf gliding stride, which is longer and more airy than regular running.
    Other: *pets other* Female. Ayame has made a strong bond with Chiara, treating her more as a partner than a pet.

    As for the evil person, since no one is going to play as them, I decided to make a profile only for my own use when I introduce them. ;-) Not that you care, just SYK. I haven't been anble to focus much on anything lately, so I'm not promising that this is the best.

    ¸-¯~Ayame Swellow.wind/flying~¯-¸

    The damp scent of raumen still hung in the air around my nose. It was like I was selfishly absorbing the minute fragments of the pleasurable aroma, so it eventually dissipated in the air and vanished completely. The afternoon sun was obscured by the heavy gray clouds, and then even more so by the rice paper windows of the Asian restaurant. A humidity was placed in the air outside, and it smelled of rain. I sat with my fellow members of the Absol Band at the small, round table. It was the first time a long while that Chiara was at rest in her Pokéball, nestled by my hip. The civilians couldn’t know that it was us, the Absol Band. I didn’t really understand why they were so angry at us, just for maiming some criminals.

    It was a shorter death just to have Chiara use Razor Wind on Judd Hatchet, rather than him starving in prison. No one would be hurt be him, ever again. Why did they believe it wasn’t better that way? Now we were here, escaping the heat, without masks or a job. I knew, as soon as we paid the bill, we needed to hightail it to the next town and take care of any business before the townspeople even knew we arrived. Like the straight path through the forest, that was the only way.

    I continued to rest on my hands. My thoughts had been estranged, bringing me to a higher level of thinking. This was not the same kind of estranged feeling as when one’s soul or heart is separated from them; no, this was much different. By thinking is this manner, I was not as easily disturbed and my thoughts could reach new points. By thinking away from my brain, my deepest thoughts were lifted above and everything was seen with a new perspective.

    As it was inevitably going to occur, the waitress offered me the bill and I could no longer take advantage of the time I had been using to think. Like a bird returning to her nest, my thoughts gracefully coasted back into place inside my mind. Although my thoughts were no longer estranged, I did not really feel like doing anything. Somewhat involuntarily, I withdrew the correct sum of Poké dollars from my wallet and heard the coins fall and bounce against the table like raindrops on a lake. Without looking, I brushed the bill and the money away with an aimless sweep of my hand, as one who flicked a breadcrumb they do not want to clean up the proper way.

    After a moment, I could feel many eyes staring at me, their pupils poking me like tentacles penetrating the remnants of the shield that remained from the estranged thinking.
    (*ahem* inside joke) Slowly, I looked up, and sure enough, all eyes of the Absol Band were on me. I turned my head to see the waitress also gawking. She was holding the bill and money in her hand, but she was about to drop it, like it was a slippery icicle. A strand of hair slipped out of her pinned bun and lay on her shoulder.

    “Why is…” I started to ask, but I didn’t finish; it wasn’t necessary.

    “Ayame, you just made the check fly across the room!” Ark exclaimed.

    Although I had not emphasized its happening, I knew that when I flounced it away, the bill would reach the waitress. The dumbfounded look on her face was not a surprise, considering I had just air mailed the check to her from twelve feet away. Without needing an explanation, I knew the trajectory of the bill was a perfect arch onto her podium. Somehow, before I brushed it away, I blindly acknowledged that this would happen. The real question was, how?

    I looked in the waitress’s direction again, and her expression had not changed. Upon seeing look at her, she quickly looked back her clipboard, in hopes that I hadn’t noticed her. Wordlessly, I stood up and pushed in the chair, and the other members followed. Pushing open the rice-paper door, I lead our cluster toward the town limits. I hated walking like this through a town. This one, very unmodernized, as if it was a historic tribute to the Meiji era, was especially unsetting. I didn’t look to my left or right, I just wanted to escape.

    After briskly walking for a few minutes, we were approaching a forest. Looking behind me, all I could see were the very points of rooftops, melting into the horizon. They were left behind forever, but perhaps we would return another day. I released Chiara, a replaced the empty ball on my belt. “Let’s ride,” I said coolly. The other members, released their Absols, and we all mounted and took off towards the forest of unknown fate ahead.

    As I rode, I held onto the skin on Chiara’s neck where she had adapted to my holding, rather than using reigns. Without using words, we knew where to go, what to do, what we were going to say. Because of this rapport with Chiara, I felt strengthened. The way the empathy flowed though us was difficult to understand, yet we had earned and cherished it. Knowing that she had formed to my riding on her, I wonder if I had done the same. Regardless, our friendship was unconditional, that I know.

    As we neared the forest, I felt a difference. My cheeks were caressed, as if the wind was gently stroking them. Although it was comforting, it was quite unusual. When I first started riding with Chiara, the wind stung like small stones lobbed at a swift speed against my face. After many runs, I became impermeable, feeling a space of emptiness. Now, like my hair was swooshing through the water of a crystal spring, the same sensation could be felt between my cheeks and the wind. This plush sense of this soothed me to make me become unaware for merely a moment, but I soon came in tune again with the forest as its sweeping braches embraced me.

    The feeling of my cheeks was not the only one. It no longer felt like the outsides of my feet were lagging, being dragged like a cart through slick mud. Now, they were balanced, gliding over water so there was no wake to see. This lightness was wonderful, it took a burden off my mind that had been harbouring in the dark place of my mind where disturbing thoughts are discarded and then they brood a way to seep a comeback into the land of my flourishing thoughts.

    Most of all, the ride itself was nothing that I had ever experienced. It was like Chiara had seen a new sparkle in her own eye, discovered a fresh motivation that allowed her to lope in this new style I had never known before. Her feet were sliding over ice smoother than a cloud, so effortlessly like she was a legendary spirit. I wondered if the same thing had happened to her feet as to mine, but I hastily shook that theory away. The same thing had not happened to her feet, not before, not now. Still, I could feel her rolling movements, which showed I was right to swallow such a thought.

    Usually, I rode just slightly ahead of the Absol Band, and sometimes somebody else led the pack. However, we were always together in that sense, supporting each other like a flock a geese and sharing the load each of us carried. I knew this not to be true now as a I heard a voice from the distant behind.

    “Hey, Distant Voice, wait up!” Kimi called to me. I glanced behind me with distress, my brunette hair flying past my cheeks and wisps over face because Chiara was running in the opposite direction I was facing. Behind us, the rest of the band members bobbed up the path, difficult to see because of their distance and my obscured sight.

    I faced forward again and gently touched Chiara’s right cheek to single her to stop. After a final stride, her feet met at a point to bring her to a halt, her claws ever so slightly cracking the ground. Among the trees, she looked like a silky white parakeet on a perch surrounded by seven green and yellow ones. When I dismounted, her feet spread apart into a more relaxed stance, and stroked her neck. As I waited for the rest of the band, I felt the pressure of the deep, deep forest. I could tell that I had lost something here, something I’ve wanted to leave behind for a long time. Yet, it felt like something had replaced it; the void could never stay so for long at all.

    The other members approached; some alighted and others remained stationary on their Absols. “I’ve never seen Chiara run like that before,” Illusen remarked.

    “Neither have I,” I answered. I didn’t feel like explaining such an experience, for the feeling would be lost between the cracks of the words and the true meaning would be skewed.

    “A lot of weird things have been happening today,” Sango said. Most of us nodded in agreement. We remained standing or sitting, as a breeze blew past us and rustled our bangs and sleeves. The moment of desolate silence, enhanced by the wind, bade us to sort these thoughts while placing our hearts in nature. When the breeze died, I mounted Chiara and we continued our run, I allowing Illusen to take the lead and keep Chiara and I in check.

    I could here the forest whisper secrets of those that had passed before us, with a haunting melody added by the wind. I still needed to answer the uncertain questions in my mind.

    Thats it, just post discovering your element. As you can see, Ayame is not yet sure of hers, but as more people discover theirs she will confirm it. Remember, don't be afraid to make decisions, have a battle or go to another place (ie lake)! Also, I ask you to write in the first person view.

    always think...

    Default ¯-The Absol Band ~ Desire of the Moon-¯ *starts, no LSUs*

    Name: Kimiko "Kimi" Ohaya
    Band codenamehadow
    Age: 15
    Gender: BOTH!...Nah...Female.
    Appearance:K, thought I might be detailive by going on some sites and finding pictures of the clothing my character will wear, ne? Anyway, Kimiko's around 6 foot even, with fair skin that's pale in some places.Her eyes are a stunning sky blue (the kind of blue eyes that sorta freaks you out.).Her hair style and her face is shown in this piccy(here), her hair is a Coal Black which sometimes, in the mourning hours, look's blue.The clips in her hair are a blue, a deep navy blue. Her capris is shown here: (here), with a black shirt that say's b4k4^2 in silver writing. She also has a pair of reading glasses that she carries in a small Napsack,which is silver with Black straps
    Personality: Kimiko is the kind of person that sorta act's like she doesn't know how to do something, but she really does. She's like that sometimes,acting like a stupid person when her intentions are for the best. But for most of the time that she's with the Absol Band, she's a person with a strong will, and won't let other people push her around. She's quite smart and mature for her age, and at times, if you piss her off, she get's more mad than a fire-breathing dragon. She's not afraid to show her feelings to people for the most part, and know's how to keep a secret. Kimiko is also a master of "Voice Imitation", and can make her voice sound like a boy's, or a lot of different people. This sometimes proves useful over a phone or something..but she'll most likely use it to keep everyone in high spirits. You may not notice it, but Kimiko is actually afraid of failing things, like screwing up.
    Element and powers: Darkness/Moon, with the power to send these little balls of dark energy at people/things. Her power increases under the moon, and most under the Full Moon. Her power's, however, don't show up on the Night of a New Moon(No moon is present)
    Other Pokémon: Pidgeot, Crawdaunt and Vileplume.
    Additional weapon: Besides her Feet and Hands?Nope.She's quite skilled in the martial arts.
    History: A Year or so before her birth, her mother and father both Lost a son "Yukio". From then on, they wanted their next baby to be a boy, which actually, later on, proved to be a Girl. And although when she was born into the family of 1 child, they didn't like the fact that she wasn't a boy, they still treated her like she was their own. They then, When Kimiko was 2, gave birth to a boy named "Ryo Jr.". So she was the middle child of the family.I guess from then, she grew up with a happy family until one day, when Kimiko was 10, something horrible happened. Her father(who was a fireman) died of smoke inhaliation while rescuing two baby's from a burning house. Her family, after they mourned the death of Ryo Sr., moved to Lilycove,Honenn inorder to start a new life. And although everything wasn't the same, it was ok. When Kimiko was 12, she decided to take on Pokemon Training, and her mother gave her a Oddish. From then on, she decided to train Pokemon and maybe become a Pokemon Co-ordinator/Pokemon Master.She took a plane to Littlebark and started from there. She then caught her Pidgey outside of Mauville, and her Crawdaunt Outside Petalburg(the 2nd time she was there). She caught her Absol when she found it in a bunch of grass outside Fortree, and took it in and cared for it as it was a baby. Since then, she's been training before she found and became part of the Absol Band.
    Relationships:None at the moment really, not counting her friendship with the Absol Band. She's more closer in friendship with Masashi though, and has a biggg crush on him.
    Other:XP

    [Absol]
    Name:Chi
    Gem: A Dark purpleish stone embedded on her forehead, below the little "scythe".
    Attacks:
    Crunch,Shadow Ball(though it Already Knew that),Moonlight and Confuse Ray.
    Other:Is around 3 years old, and a female.^^

    I changed one of my Pokemon to Pidgeot..k?^^

    First person view...No problemo.^^

    Kimiko "Kimi" Ohaya

    “Hey, Distant Voice, wait up!”I yelled over to Ayame, who's Absol seemed to ride more faster, with more elegance that I saw. I looked down at Chi, as she struggled to keep up with the other Absol. She was a bit younger than all of them, of course, and had a hard time keeping up.If I had to, I could always ride on my Pidgeot...but This was good training for her. Ayame had looked back at us, from what I could tell. She was quite a distance ahead. Chiara, her Absol, seemed to stop among the trees, waiting for us to catch up..

    Naturally, Me and Chi were always last.

    I stepped off Chi for the second, and gave her a handful of Pokemon food. She smiled,and ate it with glee as I listened to Illusen and the others talking. Ofcourse, I wasn't really looking at them. I payed more attention to what Masashi was doing exactly.
    “I’ve never seen Chiara run like that before,”Illusen said towards Ayame,who agreed by nodding her head.
    “Neither have I,”Ayame answered.She seemed to be at a lost of how Chiara went so fast.I was too..It was a first time event.

    “A lot of weird things have been happening today,”Sango said, and we all nodded our heads in agreement. Chi finished eating the small bit of pokemon food as a breeze flew by. It rustled in my hair, and made the fur on Chi move.It lead to a strong silence as we all seemed to think..I looked down at my hand, and recieved a funny...tingling feeling. Like Pin's and Needles....Like my hand was asleep. I had it in a fist position, and I opened it up to flex it around.

    'Huh?'I thought as I looked in my hand. A Small, dark ball had appeared slightly, with small wisps of a dark aura around it. I soon found Chi looking at it in amazement as I made another fist, and it disappered. It didn't seem like anyone was paying attention....Maybe Ayame or Masashi...But I'm not sure.

    Once the breeze stopped, we all mounted on our Absols once more, Chi closing her eyes while I positioned myself on her. She smiled though, like she always did. I wasn't heavy---I'm actually a bit light for my height and age. I leaned forward, holding onto her. I smiled back as we continued into running with the rest. Chi was always last, but I didn't mind. I am suprised that she isn't used to all this running...

    Ohwell.

    So we rode on our Absols, reaching towards a unknown destination,in a forest of wonderment. Mankeys...Caterpies...even oddish and Pidgey hung around here with their families. I looked at Chi as she looked at them, and she was frowning a tad..I supposed she misses her mom...who supposedly was captured or drowned near Fortree.

    We soon reached a lake, which I halted while the other's ran. Illusen saw this,and stopped her Absol. Everyone else did the same as I allowed Chi to get some water..
    "Sorry. Chi just need's a pit stop."I smiled at them..I looked back at my fist, and opened it..

    And found that strange, black ball swirling around on my palm.

    Is that ok?^^

    Default ¯-The Absol Band ~ Desire of the Moon-¯ *starts, no LSUs*

    Name:Illusen Glade
    Band codename:Celestial spirit of the desert
    Age:14
    Gender:Female
    Appearance: Illusen stands at about 5"6. SHe has long golden brown hair that drops down a bit past her shoulders in slight waves and curls, many strands of hair are tied together in beads and straps of cloth, though she almost always wears it back in a black scarf. Her eyes are a feirce and fiery yellow, that corresponds with her tanned skin. She wears a small sleevless sand colored shirt that is tightened above her stomach but down to her elbows by a strap. She wears a white scarf as a color, and will occasionally lift it over the bottom of her face when hiding her identity. Her pants are loose white satin that is tied at her waist with a dark red satin strap that is tied at her back. She wears moccasin-like shoes that are very worn but still very durable, and a smalll glass bead ankle bracelet on her left ankle that is made from gold and sapphire beads. Her skin is fairly tanned, from alot of exposure to the sun, and she is also pretty muscular but not quite a body builder. She also wears a amulet around her neck of a silver dragon, and she has a black dragon tatoo on her right arm that spirals up a couple inches from her elbow, she usually conceals it under bandages and very few people see her without them on her arm, or in that case without the bandanna on her head.
    Personality:Illusen is an amazingly strong person. She survives, and even flourishes in adversity and hardship. She is a firm believer in the phrase 'whatever doesn't kill you only makes you stronger'. She rarely fears failure, and believes that any mistake she makes will teach her more about herself, and because of this she rarely makes the same mistake twice and is not among the most forgiving people. She is extremely strong and wise, capable of feirce pride, passion, and anger. Perhaps she is this what because of whar she was forced to survive through as a young child. Independence is her strongest point, she may care for others and even depend on them, but when it comes right down to it the only one she needs is herself, and thus she relys on her own intuition. It is impossible to influence her thinking. She is very spiritual person with a serious mind, never acting immature and harboring a superior disgust of those who do. It would take a great deal of patience and luck to earn her trust, but if someone did they would have a great friend.
    Element and powers:Psychic/Spirit. Illusen can generate barriers around herself and others, as well as read minds and shoot balls of psychic energy if she is threatened enough. She can also astro project herself and travel across the astro plain.
    Other Pokémon:Shiny red flygon, ampharos, xatu
    Additional weapon:Twin katars that are retractable upon their base, and 5 pointed shurikens.
    History:She was raised by her mother in the desert, her father dissapeared in a sandstorm after chasing after their natu who had gotten caught in the storm. After the storm, the young Illusen found the natu badly injured on their doorstep but no sign of her father. She healed the natu's wounds and raised it back to health. SHe never saw her father again after that. She spent alot of time out in the cliffs at night to see the beutiful desert nights, on one of her nightly trips she befriended a flygon who was an faded red color and it became her other pokemon. She became much more adept to travel by riding her flygon and stumbled apon some boys who were battling a wild absol and a flaffy, it was obvious they had fainted but the boys continued to use attacks to hurt them. Enraged, Illusen stepped forth and battled them with her natu and flygon and saved the absol anf flaffy who thence forth became her pokemon. Some time afterwords her mother dissapeared into a sandstorm just like her father, and Illusen ran away in fear that she would be claimed to by a storm. It was then she met five other trainers with absols and banded with them when she learned the life on the road was where she really belonged.
    Relationships:She never really had friends because she lived far in the desert, so she was basically only friends with her mom and pokemon, but basically the only peopel she trusts are the others in the absol band. No crushes, yet. open.
    Other:None

    [Absol]
    Name:Naomi
    Gem:A deep lilac star garnett on her chest
    Attacks:Psychic, Confuse ray, barrier, psybeam. Her barrier is almost identical to Illusen's. And she can also astro project herself and travel across the astro plain.
    Other:*glares at other* what are you lookin at?

    ..::Illusen Glade-Psychic/Spirit::..

    We had walked airlily through the town, in one fleeting motion of a retreating fog. THough we were somewhat stunned into silence by the sequence of events that had just befallen us, it was not to keep us from accomplishing our next goal. Even if no true destination was set out just yet. We had gone just far enough from the town that it was only a fleeting memory now, and nothing would be held from it now, we could not delay on such matters.

    With the brief command from Ayame, I did not stall to release Naomi from her pokeball. She cooed gently staring at me before hastening to stand ready for me. I tasked myself to tightening the soft strips of cloth around Naomi's waist. The make-shift saddle was composed of many of our own belongings, and was held in balance by two side bags strapped to the roped around the waist. I felt as though I held up the pack with my preparation, but it was either not true, or it did not need to be said. And that was the foundation of our pack.

    In one swift motion, I settled myself upon her back, raising the scarf around my neck up over my nose. In an unsaid word we were off, embracing the dark shallows of the forest, and riding towards it for it was our next unsaid destination. It was in one swift motion that we moved forward. Though our true goal was not truely visible at that moment, the strong taste of it was on our tongues, and so we went on in this manner, And so was how we had come upon this ritual that had become a need that burned in our souls. It was a way of life, and that is how we wanted it to stay.

    The wind whistled past me as a force to overcome. When it blew as I rode, it was like the sound of many sheets blowing through the wind, as my scarfs and capes for riding flew back out behind me. It was the essence of riding that had such thirst for.

    I tightened my eyes as the wind rushed into my face. I tightened my grip on Naomi's neck and she began to ease her running. It became one motion of the simplest origin, but a complex way to maintain speed. But at this point I looked to the center where Ayame rode. Her absol who's way of riding I had memorized from countless times of summarizing it, was now more of the simple elegant motion. It was beyond words to discribe, but it seemed as though the pounding of white paw agaisnt cracked earth had become the solitary force that drove it on. And the body became a fragile glass figure, like a cloud of white rose petals that had suddenly been swept up by the wind.

    “Hey, Distant Voice, wait up!” Kimi yelled from somwhere behind me. THe swift running of Chiara had outlasted us, but more then all it had stunned us into a sense of awkward feeling that left us running blankly out of focus.

    After a moment of catching up from our minds that we had left so far behind, Chiari swiftly slid to the side, standing rigid against the woods we had now almost reached.

    “I’ve never seen Chiara run like that before,” I said as Naomi systematically slowed to a halt in front of Ayame.

    “Neither have I,” She answered quietly, her stare deep upon something, and yt open to all things at once. Her silence was enough description for us all. It was understood, it ad its purpose fuffiled to us.

    “A lot of weird things have been happening today,” Sango said, her eyes closed in deep comprehension. I nodded solemly. It was as if today would be the signification of some great event in our lives, though I was yet to find what it was. Though I beleieved I could find it. And so as it stood, we were in silence. For no real thing could be said, and it was true that we really found this as a moment that seemed to occur frequently in our travels.

    Without any real sign of movement, we were gone. Continuing our run. I led not to far ahead. Still cautious of the happenings of today, they ment something. I Would find what they ment.

    Now our travels led us through the dense forest. I found that Naomi's ability to run in the dark slience of the forest was unstifled by anything but pure energy. And the feelings of freedom were shared between us, our hearts beat as one. We burst through the forest to a large clearing where a large lake sparkled in the last rays of fading sunlight. We ran along a narrow strip of land, the punding feet against the soft mud beat in rythm, but I immediatley noticed the lack of one line of the hearbeat. I wheeled around, stopping as the other members of the pack did so as well. Kimiko was standing over her Absol, who drank water solemly.

    "Sorry. Chi just need's a pit stop." She said smiling and turning again. I sighed but thought I should check on some of my own supplies.

    Reaching over to my pac, I opened one flap and pulled out my long bag, with insides that could expand to hold more water then it's size would make one guess. It was nerve endingly low, so Naomi stood silent as I slid off and filled it wearily. Then slipping it back into the bag. I stared at it longingly, my thoughts roaming on the many differant worries that I could not deny.

    [i]"I wish I knew what was going on with all these weird happenings,"[I] A voice echoed inside my head.

    "Did someone say something?" I said, a note of alarm rang in my voice as the other members shook their heads. I paused, what was that then?

    "What was she talking about? I didn't hear anything at all," Another voice echoed inside my head. But I did not bring it to attention, I just glanced around them nervousley. They all seemed busy with their own doings, none of them were talking.

    I rubbed my arms nervously, Naomi padded to my side and rubbed her head against my arm.

    "at least I've got you Naomi," I thought smiling at her.

    "I wish you would not be so sad Illusen. I do not wish for you to be so sad," a gentle voice rang like a bell through my head.

    "Naomi?" I gasped. I did not look up wven though I could tell I had gained some awkward looks from those around me.

    "Shh, do not be so loud, you should be quiet or think to me," the apparent thoughts of Naomi said crisply.

    "alright let me try," I whispered. I began to focus on my thoughts, and stare at naomi who looked at me curiosley.

    "here, can you hear me?" I thought in her direction as hard as I could.

    "Yes I can, it is so odd. But for some reason you are hearing me. But I think that is a good thing, that it is, a very good thing," She grinned at me.

    "This is kindof weird, do you think anyone else can hear me?" I thought, now a little frantically.

    "Maybe," Naomi replied, "it , matters how loud you think."

    I nodded. Now a bit freaked out, I figured I was hallucinating. I Got back on NAomi and she cooed happily. I stroked her head and waited for the other members to signify they were ready. Maybe I would keep um... talking to my pokemon.... but I still was a bit afraid I was goping insane. Though insanity may not always be such a bad thing...

    Default ¯-The Absol Band ~ Desire of the Moon-¯ *starts, no LSUs*

    Alright...let's begin this...^^

    Name: Sango Koorihiko (Song-oh)
    Band codename: Tormented Puppet of the Winter Goddess
    Age: 15
    Gender: Female
    Appearance: She's about 5'10", with deep blue eyes, shoulder length raven black hair with dark blue streaks dyed into it, and a pale complexion with an icy coloring into it. Her thin build makes her "lanky", but to make up for it at least half her height is made up by her legs. She wears a long-sleeved black shirt that goes down to about half of her bellybutton, and dark blue capri-like pants a bit tight on her waist, but with long legs which hide her combat boots. She has a dark blue headband with an icy blue snowflake on it to hold back her bangs, and her ears are pierced three times each(around the bottom) with small silver hoop earrings. Her nails are painted an icy blue color.
    Personality: Assumingly calm, she's really troubled deep down, making her a bit depressive, hopeless, and rather shy. She's tries to avoid socializing because of something long ago(see history), which no one makes some people accuse her of being cold, hateful, and apathetic. A bit of a hopeless romantic, she's considered a "goth", along with being quiet, withdrawn, and mysterious.
    Elements and powers: Ice/Snow~ She can cause a small snowstorm of ice shards and snowflakes, but nothing much. She can also fire small beams of ice from the palms of her hands. Also can freeze small quantities of water.
    Other pokemon:
    ~Vaporeon(female) with more deep blue-ish fur(the teal parts) and a silvery mane.
    ~Cacnea(male)(close to evolution)
    ~Combusken(female)
    Additional weapon: A large-but light-boomerang(x.o)...she can throw it and use it for some defense.
    History: Sango grew up a sad life in Lillycove, and it's hard to believe she's still living after her torment. At seven, her father was killed by the burn of a Houndoom, which her mother blamed her for. After that, she abandoned her onto the streets of Fortree City with nothing but a bag of her few posessions, and soon she came to believe that she was an accidental child. One week later, her aunt(mother's younger sister) found her and took her in, which she remained since. She always made some of the best grades, and was criticized for it. She had a friend, until fifth grade at age ten when, because she wasn't blonde, was turned into a downcast and tormented while her friend rose to popularity and soon began to start as the ringleader of torment to her, which is why she fears people now and she thinks everybody hates her. At eleven in sixth grade, she began to see herself truely on the inside, and she fell in love with the darkness and on her twelfth birthday, given an Ultra Ball to catch one Pokemon to train as her own...which is how she caught her Absol. She continued school, and started collecting a few Pokemon. A year later, she found an Eevee on the streets along with a Water Stone, she took the Water Stone, but the Eevee followed her and that is how she got her Vaporeon. Eventually in the next three years, she got a Combusken as a present when she got out of junior high at thirteen, and over the next year found her Cacnea on a field trip to the Desert on Route 111.
    Relations: None...and probably won't 'cause they all probably hate her...=/
    Other: *throws boomerang endlessly at Other* Burn in hell!

    [Absol]
    Name: Keanu (KEY-AH-NOO)
    Gem: An aquamarine gem shaped like a triangle, on the side of the left foreleg.
    Attacks: Ice Beam and Icy Wind. Can combine Icy Wind with Sango's version.
    Other: Male and 4 years old.

    ~*~Sango Koorihiko - Tormented Puppet of the Winter Goddess~*~
    "A lot of weird things have been happening today..." I said a bit solemnly, as most of the group nodded in full agreement. A song of mysterious melody passed through the misty air, as we, either standing or sitting, remained still and silent. Blinking slightly, I leaned against the tree, my Absol, Keanu, sitting down at my side. He was probably the oldest Absol out of the group, at 4 years old, but he probably had the most experience at battling, too. Eventually, we departed and were around a lake in the forest's center, a mountain in the distance.

    I noticed Kimi, Illusen, and Ayame were reacting to soething odd...but I wasn't sure about my gift yet. Sighing, I, with my boots left on, made a daring act and placed one of my feet on the surface of the water....and to my surpise, it froze from about a 1 foot radius around my boot. Blinking, I lifted my foot and put it back on land, I had realized this awkward prescence: I had abilities of Ice. I felt an ache in my palms, and held them straight out, which fired a small beam of ice. Keanu stared, nodding slightly. I twirled my hands, and a small shower of snowflakes and ice shards fell. I shook my head, I had to be hallucinating...Damn green tea, that's the last time I ever order the green tea from that restaurant. Keanu sat down again and looked me in the eye...as if to say something but didn't say anything...we understood this couldn't be normal, that I was chosen for something.

    ...I'm not dead yet!

    ~~~Ark Lancast / Fire (I can burn things!!)~~~
    "A lot of weird things have been happening today..." Sango said a bit solemnly, and I nodded in agreement. We went on in a little bit, but stopped again, this time it was Kimi standing with her Absol.
    "Sorry. Chi just need's a pit stop." She said. I nodded, and jumped off Liz.
    " Hey Liz, you wanna skip some rocks?" I asked my Absol. She nodded in agreement. We went over to the lake and I picked up a rock. She used Razer Wind near the surface making kinda of a mini wave. I threw the rock I had with all the strength I had. I burst on fire and went clear across the lake. I looked at the end of the lake. I saw that the others were too.
    "What the....What was....huh?" I asked myself as I took a step back. I pick up a stick and threw it with the same force as the rock. I wizzed like a helicopter across the water and cut some trees on the other side.
    "Ok...This is freaky...but so cool!!" I said as I continued throwing rocks and twigs across, and even found a broken pokeball to throw. They all burst into flames as they went across. I then saw everybody else was having some kind of wierd problem too.
    Default ¯-The Absol Band ~ Desire of the Moon-¯ *starts, no LSUs*
    Name: Masashi Takayama
    Band Codename: Raikoumaru (Raiki for short)
    Age: 17
    Gender: Male
    Appearance: Masashi's 5' 6" and is fairly thin. He's not extremely skinny, but he's not exactly overweight either. He has a notable muscle tone, but he's not horribly strong. His eyes are hazel, but they lean more towards brown than green. His hair is light brown with a blue coloring in its shine. He usually likes it either spiked back on his head or parted down the middle. He keeps his hair short (1 - 1.5 inches on the top) so that his hair can stay like that. He has an affinity to dark blue or black jeans, black or white tennis shoes, and shirts similar to THIS. (too hard to explain myself... v_v;) His skin is fairly pale. It has a notable amount of color, but not a large amount.
    Personality: Masashi tends to keep to himself and the small group of friends he has. He dislikes most others, but doesn't make it blatantly visible that he doesn't either. He's acquaintances with a small few though. In his leisure time, he likes to draw/sketch or read a book (usually some sort of fiction). He's an extremely imaginative person and enjoys sharing his dreams and ideas with those around him. He generally likes to keep a fun or comical aura around him, and for this, many people see him as preppy person. Just don't mess with him when he's angry. He's likely to bite your head off if you irritate him enough. Masashi is the kind of person that wears his happy and joyous emotions on his sleeve, but hides his depressing and angry feelings deep inside. This causes him to have the occasional eruption of depression and feeling of worthlessness from the build-up within him. Usually it takes something extremely stressful or horrible to knock him into this condition, so it's not exactly something that happens too often or for an extremely extended period of time. In general, though, he's a enjoyable person to be around!
    Element and powers: Thunder/Lightning
    Can Shock enemys with electricity (Bolt or Sphere).
    Can create air shockwaves, similar to that of Thunder (may cause mechanical malfuctions)
    Power increases in the vacinity of steel or water.
    Can paralyze one/multiple enemies.
    Other Pokémon: Jolteon, Butterfree
    Additional weapon: Twin Blade Daggers. The handle guards have 3 small gems on one side (2 Yellow Topaz and a center Diamond), and an intricate vine-like design on the other side. The blade design looks similar to this:
    o-----|8|~~~~~~~~~~-
    History: TBR, having trouble getting things to fit properly...
    Relationships: Besides the Absol Band members, Masashi has a big crush on Kimiko, but won't admit it......yet! [i]OPEN
    Other: *bashes over head with spiked flail* Mwahaha Ahaha haha haha
    [Absol]
    Name: Rei
    Gem: A bright yellow gem; Broken into 12 pieces, there is a fragment embedded into each of her toenails.
    Attacks: Thunder Wave, Charge, Body Slam, and Agility
    Other: Female. *slaps Other* Stop touchn' me, bi-otch!!!
    ~~~~~~~~~~
    As the seven of us caught up to the gracefully speeding Ayame, I stayed mounted upon Rei's back, slightly impatient to get going again. "A lot of weird things have been happening today..." Sango solemnly spoke. I nodded, in relation to the idea, but my concentration was not fully dedicated to the conversation. I looked around the small clearing in the forest, feeling as though there were eyes staring down on me from somewhere. Everyone was silent for a moment before we continued on into the luscious depths of the forest temple; Illusen taking lead this time.

    As we sped to our unknown destination, I stayed close behind Kimi, watching her every move upon Chi, her young Absol. I could feel a broken connection between us that would need time to fuse together. As I fell into deep thought about my secret passion, my body became streamline with Rei and we quickly raced forward. The draft vacuum that built about us began to glow a dull yellow as the air wavered in static tension as we picked up more and more speed. We quickly came up near Illusen, but before we could pass her, a larger opening approached: a lake that gently glistened with the twilight sky that began to fade into night above us.

    I quickly pulled myself out of my trance-like state and lifted my body, signifying to Rei that we needed to slow down. As we skidded to a stop, her hind legs flung around with their fast momentum. But, as the static energy faded, a prick of electricity, like getting an electric shock, jolted through my entire body. I dismounted from Rei's back, but it doing so, I created a magnetic field causing mine and Rei's hair to stand on end. It felt like somebody had given me a rubdown with a latex balloon.

    Remembering an evil trick my grandpa had showed me, I snuck up on Kimi while Chi took a drink from the pond. I slinked up behind her, my arm and index finger a their full extents, and tapped her in the back of the neck. A little blue flicker of static electricity transfered from my finger to her body, causing her to jump involuntarily. "Ow! What was that for!?" She spun around, massaging the spot on her neck.

    "Because it looked like you could have used a little jump start." I responded, trying to be a little funny. She smiled at the comment "At least I got the 'jump' part right...." My mood became bright from being with Kimi, but a dark questioned loomed over my mind, "What in God's name caused that to happen...!?"

    *groans* A few problems at the moment...

    1) I've been on vacation with limited internet, and I forgot to tell the RPG forum. Oops.
    2) I have to go to dinner, like... *glances at watch* now. So, yeahs.

    I'll include my sign-up form right now, and if someone posts after me I'll do a new post after dinner, if no one does then I'll edit this one. Ok *bows* gomen.

    Name: Kayla Mizu
    Band codename: Water Sprite
    Age: 16
    Gender: Female
    Appearance: She has dark blue hair that reaches down to her waist. It's such a color that in darkness, you can't tell it apart from black. Half of her bangs have grown out such that they half cover her face, leaving only one of her emerald green eyes revealed. She's quite tall, about 6'3. He skin is slightly tanned from staying outside. She wears a very loose gray t-shirt over a skintight black one. Her jeans are torn and dirty in various places. She doesn't wear shoes that much (usually only when she needs them to get into a store), and she doesn't feel much pain from her feet.
    Personality: Kayla is the absolute best at keeping a secret. That, however, is due to the fact she almost never talks. She sometimes comes across as very cold and distant, but she cares for people in her own special way. She has quite a temper when provoked the wrong way, however since she doesn't speak and has a great amount of self control, you'll usually know when she's mad only by when she walks away and punches a hole in the nearest wall.
    Element and powers: Water/Ocean
    -summon balls of water and/or small waves
    -manipulate small amounts of water
    -make it (stop) rain(ing)
    Other Pokémon: Vaporeon, Manectric
    Additional weapon: A katana, but she only uses it when she absolutely has to
    History: Her parents both died in a car crash when she was six. That, however, is just the cover story. Kayla has no idea what really happened that day, and was too young to remember more than just one thing: her parents screaming as someone grabbed her and pulled her away. She was sent to an orphanage for four years, during which she received the katana. It was apparently found in her house after the 'crash', and since she was the only surviving heir she rightfully owned everything her parents did. They weren't wealthy, however, and in order to pay for her care the house was eventually taken from her. Thus, the katana is the only thing she owns from her parents. The reason she didn't take it willingly and refuses to wield it came from a discovery she made the day she received it: there was a blood stain on the sword that she couldn't wash off, as if it was part of the very blade. Kayla gets a very bad feeling every time she looks at the blood, thus the sword remains sheathed. She was released from the orphanage at the age of ten (keep in mind this is the Pokemon world, and ten is when children become trainers), and has been wandering ever since. On her journey, she came across an Absol that seemed exactly like her. He (it's male) ended up carrying an Ultra Ball over to Kayla, and with his consent, she caught him. The Vaporeon was an Eevee abandoned by its trainer for not evolving into an Umbreon (the poor thing hated her trainer) and the Manectric she caught as an Electrike with some Great Balls she found lying around.
    Relationships: None that she'd ever admit, aside from the unspoken bond with her Pokemon. She's not complete friends with the Absol Band, but she gets along.
    Other: *smites*
    [Absol]
    Name: Yami
    Gem: A strange dark-blue opal on the underside of his chin.
    Attacks: Water Spout, Surf, and Bubblebeam. He can also walk on water.
    Other: Male. *shoots other with not-allowed shotgun* ^^;... IT WAS HIM! *points at Yami*

    EDIT: I know ya'll love me

    ~|~|~|~|~
    Kayla Mizu <Water Sprite>

    We had to leave again. How typical. That was how we get treated. We go in to a town, wipe out crime happy-joy, little to no real damage to property or civilians... And we always get rejected, get chased out. How fun. What was this, the fourth time this month? Fifth? Tenth? It didn't matter, we were on the move again.

    "Let's ride." The one solem statement that made us go. It was a signal to all of us, whether we realized it conciously or not. We're done here. Staying any longer will just get us in trouble. We've done all we can, so let's get moving and help out another place; before they realize we're there. Let's go.

    The blur of the forest as Yami and I ran with the band soon brought back the familiar feeling of lonliness. There was always something unsettling about the forest for me. It was... I could never quite describe why I didn't like it. It was peaceful, I guess.

    Why being peaceful unsettled me was something that I never figured out. Perhaps it was the "calm before the storm" thing. Soon we'd be in another town, under more criticism, fighting more crime, hiding in the realm of reality from our realm of superheroes and crimefighters. It was kind of sad, actually. So many people ran to fantasy to get away from reality. Fantasy was reality to us. We play fantasy, stop a few crimes, and suddenly the mob is after us. So we hide. We hide under our real persona. It's sad, truly sad.

    "Hey, Distant Voice, wait up!"

    Kimi was shouting at Ayame again. I did a double take as I noticed what everyone else was now picking up on. Ayame sometimes ran ahead, but today... wow, today she was really ahead.

    She slowed up for us, and we all gathered around. I leaned over onto Yami's head, who protested mildly but didn't press it. “I’ve never seen Chiara run like that before,” Illusen pointed out. "Neither have I." Gee, people really do have a tendency to point how the obvious, don't they? I closed my eyes and rested my head on Yami's. This was boring, and going nowhere fast.

    "A lot of weird things have been happening today." Again, thank you Sango for the obvious.

    A breeze stirred through the forest, and suddenly I was more at peace. It must be that the forest was making noise. It was no longer just silent. I opened my eyes, and with a start I noticed my left eye was looking out into the forest. The lack of darkness that usually veiled that eye wasn't was startled me. In the brightness of my unadjusted pupil, I could have sworn I saw a house. Right on the edge of the trail. The wind died down and my hair replaced itself. I gave a small glance to the rest of the group, and moved my hair aside to look again. This time, only a bright forest met my eye. What had happened to the house?!

    Yami nudged me, and I noticed the others were moving out again. I nodded and he started running with them again. He gave me a look of question and I shook my head. "Nothing, it was nothing."

    ~|~|~

    "Sorry, Chi just needs a pit stop." We were stopped at a lake. I liked lakes, much better than forests. Dismounting, I let Yami roam a bit as I myself lay down. I wasn't exactly tired... I thought better when I was laying down.

    The sky was a strange color today. Clouds hung over the area, but it was still sunny. It was... strange. There wasn't any real other way to describe it just strange.

    I put my hand up to the sky. It was almost a measurement. Here. This is what I have right now. The sky is infinite, and my hand is not. Yet when I put up my hand, so much of the sky disappears. It doesn't seem to make sense.

    Huh? I blinked. Once, twice. Three times, and it still wasn't gone. Slowly I lowered my hand. There, floating in the sky, was... a ball of water? Huh?!

    I stood up to get a better look. Sure enough, a ball of water was floating in mid air. I blinked again, trying to make sense if it. It couldn't exist... right? Suddenly, it almost seemed to pop, and fell to the ground like normal water. I looked around to see if anyone else had noticed whatever... that was.

    Default ¯-The Absol Band ~ Desire of the Moon-¯ *starts, no LSUs*

    Now that that's out of my system...^^; I was going to say something else, but due to some screaming I can't seem to remember...

    Oh, what a coincidence, Tsukasa and I both have Sonic songs in out sigs now. Lol, I point out random things. XD *secret sonic-song-sig handshake *

    ¸-¯~Ayame Swellow.wind/flying~¯-¸

    As we continued through the deep forest, Kimiko and Chi drifted away from the group, like the wind was blowing them off course. Illusen promptly noticed and pulled off to follow her. It felt like there was an omniscient force that guided us as a whole, making itself known to an individual for the benefit of all. The forest broke and a lake sparkled before us, the glittering of a thousand raindrops. Kimi stopped at the shore, and under Illusen’s lead we halt nearby.

    “Sorry, Chi just needs a pit stop,” she explained, smiling calmly, while Chi lapped the clear water. The force has brought us to this beautiful place, for Chi’s well-being, as it watched over us all. I nodded understandingly, and then strode a few meters away to where a large boulder was embedded in the ground. The earth embraced its base, while the grass tickled its bottom and small flowering vines spread the soil’s encirclement as far as their short fingers could reach. I clambered onto the top of the boulder and crossed my legs. After I had situated myself, I unlashed my katana sheath from my belt and let it fall to the ground. Chiara sat in front of the boulder like the Sphinx, protecting it with her solemn stare. I reached out my index finger and stroked her scythe and her forehead with the side of it. “You’re beautiful. Thank you…for everything,” I whispered so quietly I barely heard myself. Did Absols have acute hearing? I felt it necessary to say these words, that I had been wanting to say for so long, not remembering the last time I had spoke them. From the bottom of my heart, like a heavy burden on a frail glass surface, I could feel that change was coming. I knew that not one of us would break.

    Then, I began to see things. A series of events were somehow connected, one beginning only seconds after the precedent’s end, but distinctly different. I was positioned in such a way that I could visually feel the beauty of the lake, but still see every member of the band. It started with Kimi, as a swirling ball of black energy balanced in her hand. I had never known the lighting to play tricks with my eyes, but I deducted that at some point it happens to everyone.

    I blinked and shifted my gaze, intently watching Sango. She warily placed a foot on the surface of the water, and it froze where her step had rippled its perfect face. Inside, I jumped in surprise. I continued to look at her, as she launched a small beam of ice from her palm in no specific direction. It looked like the ice beam of a Lapras, but on a smaller scale. When she moved her hand in an intricate trajectory, a contained squall of snow graced around her. Sango was like a mythical ice apparition among her homeland. She looked into the eyes of Keanu (her Absol) and I could feel a mutual understanding between them. The spectacular show that had been put before me unknowingly I believed not to be simply a mirage or fallacy. My arms tinged, and I knew it was something more.

    Ark’s display was less concealed, as we all had seen it. He had tossed a rock and a stick across the lake, both ablaze. Through my veins I could feel the heat, it had come from his own body, and needless to say stones weren’t something that spontaneously combusted very often; the twig had met the same fate as its traveling processor. "Ok...This is freaky...but so cool!!" he exclaimed, while continuing to throw things across the lake for the pure enjoyment of it.

    As Ark’s exhibition became redundant to me, I kept my eyes on something that I had for awhile now. Masashi’s and Rei’s hair were both on the frizz, the way mine was during the wintertime. It looked like a fear had circulated through them, and escaped though the spikes of their hair and fur. He slowly approached Kimi from behind, and playfully poked a part of her neck. A blue static bolt transferred the energy from his fingertip to her skin. If I recalled, the path of static electricity was not a visible form. Yes, now I know this much is true.

    Kimi and Masashi continued their small talk while I stole a small glance at quiet Kayla. Her hand was lifted up and touching the cheek of the sky, but to our surprise, a small sphere of water developed in her palm. In the matter of a moment, it lost its unstable form and rained to the ground. The breaking of this ball seemed to be an experimental attempt, a skill that would next time be mastered by Kayla.

    Haku was aloof, standing off a bit beside his Absol with his hands in his pockets. A fly buzzed near his face, and he reached out to clench his fist around it. Like a ninja, he was swift, and the fly his unwary prey. Before his fist closed, a bright light emitted from it and the fly disintegrated before his face. His eyes widened in surprise, but he soon shrugged it off and replaced his hand in his pocket.

    I began to think, almost everyone had illustrated some sort of ability vested inside them. As I mulled over these happenings, what was my gift? The check, my cheek, Chiara’s lope all began to surface in my mind like diamonds shining through murky water. I had been blessed with the wind. Had Chiara, too? There were many unanswered questions that I didn’t want to confirm until I theorized them enough to be proven.

    I slinked off the rock and fell onto Chiara’s back. She did not move, not minding the subtle impact at all. I put my arm around her neck and brought myself around to peer into her eyes. They were a rich black, like absent reflections of the sun. I smiled and she looked at me. She stood up when I did, and I picked up my katana.

    I called my fellow members to recount my observations. “I saw it all,” I said quietly but firmly. No one responded physically, except for Kayla who uttered a small gasp. “Kimi’s dark,” I began, and she demonstrated the energy concentrated in her palm. “Sango’s ice.” A flurry of snowflakes fell from her hand. “Ark’s fire.” He lifted a stone and skipped it over the lake like a blazing Frisbee. Everyone nodded, remembering his show that had just ended a minute ago. I continued, “Masashi’s electricity.” He held up his hand and small bolts sparked at his fingertips. “Kayla’s water.” A ball of liquid was balanced in her hand, until she closed her fingers and it broke. “And Haku’s light,” I said lastly, watching as he displayed an arc of brightness between his two palms. The unbalanced light luminously lit his face, casting shadows ominously about it.

    “As for I, it is the wind,” I explained, as I created a breeze from my palm and rustled the long, navy hair of Kayla, who was closest to me. “It is apparent that we all possess an elemental power, though except for one I’m not sure about…”

    “I think…” Illusen began, “…focus on a totally random thought,” she told me. --The kitsune, which is the heaven’s blessing from the phoenix of the flame, without hesitation protects me. This thought was random to me, was it what she was looking for? “The kitsune…which is heaven’s blessing from the phoenix of flame…without hesitation…protects me!” she exclaimed. I felt like someone had squeezed my shoulders when I was not expecting it, and my surprise showed in my eyes. “It’s true. My ability is the psychic spirit,” she denounced. I nodded in acknowledgement. There was no doubt that my guesses were as I had speculated.

    Twilight had passed us, and the faint rim of light on the horizan could not be seen. I mounted Chiara wordlessly, and the others followed. Past the bank of the lake, after a small grove of trees separated from the forest, there were increasing hills. It was evident that we had reached the foothills of a mountain. As Chiara and I conquered the crest of the highest hill, a cliff stood several hundred feet ahead of us. Its craggy top disrupted the smoothness, the points sharpened by the moonlight. A figure jumped from the top of the cliff and was running towards the hillside. I heard cries of pain, and glaced to where he was running towards.

    Not far, I saw a cage of captured Pokémon. Chiara and I seemed to be on the same wavelength, for she veered off course and reached the cage before the running person did. It appeared to be half a dozen Luvdiscs, flailing on the steel bottom, their gills dry. There was a look of despair and helplessness in their unusually dull eyes.

    “Hey, step away from my property, Absol Girl!” the person shouted. As he stopped in front of me, I could see him more clearly. His hair was teal in colour, spiked up with a single bang streaking across his face. He looked like some sort of punk, his slanted eyes glaring. “I am Damian, the best Pokémon poacher on this side of the mountains.”

    “You can’t keep Luvdiscs caged like this! They can’t breath!” I cried. He snickered. I narrowed my eyes in anger. “Do you know who we are?” He looked behind me, just then seeming to see the broader spectrum.

    “Gaaah, the Absol Band! Didn’t those townspeople drive you apart ages ago? No matter. And I can’t do that, babe. You see, my client wants as many Luvdiscs for possible for his stalking army.” A guy who treated ladies with “respect.” This was going to be fun. Damian sent out a Charizard and an Exploud. “Here, we can battle for them. If you win, babe, you can have them. Funny thing is, you won’t.”

    I laughed to myself. “I summon Flygon!” I called while tossing out a Pokéball, my dragonfly partner materialzing before me. It was obvious that this guy was intent on this battle.

    Then Masashi seemed to notice something. “Kayla! Can you keep the Luvdiscs alive until we kick this guy’s butt?” he asked. She nodded, and began watering the suffering Pokémon through the iron bars. I glanced behind me, wondering who would step up to be my battle partner. This run-of-the-mill poacher was no problem.

    Note: Damian dude is not the evil person, the evil person will probably come in…maybe my next post.

    Default ¯-The Absol Band ~ Desire of the Moon-¯ *starts, no LSUs*

    [color=sky blue] Oh god. o.o I am sooooo sorry. ^^;

    Name: Haku Kakani
    Band codename: Sasuke of the Esteemed Shadow Clan
    Age: 16
    Gender: Male =D
    Appearance: http://kasai_doragon.tripod.com/ima...encilboard1.jpg Person in the blue shirt. Taller though. Basically, he wears a headband, and has messy spiky black hair, a navy blue t-shirt, and tan cargo shorts. He wears ankle bands and sandals, with the Yin-Yang symbol printed on the back of his shirt. His eyes are an icy blue, surging with coldness.
    Personality: Sasuke remains calm at all times, keeping a mellow personality. Many people seem to be irritated by his tendancy to not get excited, but he usually has the " loner" aura, when not with the band. Around the band, he remains serious, but is a bit more friendly, with his Absol as well. His appearence seems to generate the Loner aura, showing that he hates everybody, though, deep inside, remains a gentle heart. o_o
    Element and powers: Light/Sun: Sasuke is able to melt into the sunlight, as if a sun serpent, to completely turn invisible for several seconds. He can also fired small beams of light.
    Other Pokémon:
    Umbreon (M) Has blue rings
    Flygon(M) Turquoise bands and wing outlines, along with the head thingy...and the tail. T.T;
    Additional weapon: A katana made by his father with expert hands.
    History: Sasuke grew up in the village of the Shadow Clan, learning the secret arts of Ninjitsu. His father was a master shinobi, along with his mother. He survived through harsh training, able to grasp the powers of the shadows easily. However, when he returned one day from training, he found his brother standing over the corpse of his dead mother and father. Realizing his brother, Zazuba, had killed them, Sasuke was shocked, and froze up, as Zazuba escaped. As soon as he left, a mob of brigands and bandits attacked the village savagely, massacreing the families. Sasuke, blind with anger, created a massive hurricane of light energy with all his energy, to kill them, but in turn, collapsed. He woke up several days later to see that the village was in ruins, waking up in the remains. He found that several Indians were camping out there, in the remaining cottages. He returned to his home, to find his parents still alive, but barely. However, right before his father died, he gave him a katana, along with several shuriken, telling him to go. Sasuke left, obeying his parents, and came across a small village. A couple took him in, the father, reluctantly. Sasuke then realized the father was a bandit as well, after spying on him. Upon discovering Sasuke several days later, watching him, he grasped a knife, attempting to stab him. Sasuke escaped, meeting a lone Umbreon prowling in the forest. The Umbreon attacked, but Sasuke fended it off, until the Umbreon decided to join him. He led him to a cave, where an Absol and a Flygon were resting. Sasuke took them with him, journeying into the desert, where he met the Absol band. Days later, he changed his name to Haku, but inside the Absol Band, is always known as Sasuke.
    Relationships:
    Other: none.

    [Absol]
    Name: Kiori
    Gem: The gem is in the deep core of his blade, a pure white.
    Attacks: Sunny Day. Flash, Hyper Beam.
    Other: Male. x_o;

    --------
    3rd Person
    --------

    Rushing after Ayame and Ark, Haku moved forward with great speed, reaching the speed of the wind. Unsheathing his katana, he reached his destination. Grasping a pokeball, he threw it into the air, releasing his Umbreon. Striding along Kiori, they rushed in to assist the others.

    " Shadow Ball." He ordered. Two orbs of dark energy shot out at the Luvdisc hunter, who dodged them. Haku sheathed his katana as he stopped. Closing his eyes, he shot a ball of light energy at Damian. It missed easily, as Haku swore quietly.

    " I hope this is going to be easy." He muttered quietly..

    Sorry, pressed for time, short post. =/ [/COLOR]

    Release your own time! Shootin’ star going towards the future!
    Draw the arch of light
    You’ll reach it, if you keep believing

    Bursts open in your heart

    Thats ok, for now, but I asked you to right in first person in my first posts. I would appreciate it if everyone read the posts before them before posting, or at least skim them, because that could clear up elapsing events in posts that may occur if you don't read it.

    And other than that, still no new posts?
    That's depressing.
    I don't know when I can post again, but until then, keep posting everyone!

    *accepts handshake, then realizes she changed her sig a couple days ago...* Well, it was interesting while it lasted. ^_^

    Masashi's Eyes

    "Kayla! Can you keep the Luvdisks alive while we kick this guys but?" I exclaimed to her as I moved away. I was going to try and help save the Luvdisk while the little poacher was busy with Ayame, Ark, and Haku. I snuck my way around the battle taking place, making sure to prevent him from seeing my plan...

    As I approached the large trap that the Pokemon were trapped in, I released Krake, my Butterfree. As she formed from the bright light of the Pokeball, I commanded, "Use your String Shot to create a webbing to lift them out of the top!"
    (I'm assuming that, because they are fish, the cage is open in the top and the walls are like mesh netting...) As Krake cut the end of the string, I grabbed ahold of it, making a pulley out of the makeshift contraption.

    I tried to pull with all of my might, but the weight of the Pokemon was just too much for me. As I held onto the string with my life, fearing if I lost footing, the elasticity of the net would pull me into the cage as well, I saw a figure sneak around the battle as I had. "I hope your coming over here to help me!" I cried as I felt my grip on the net and the ground slowly started to slide...

    Sorry it's so short, but I'm at school and can't stay on very long... ^_^;
