Berry #32

I have got every one of the special berrys (spelon,Watmel,Durin and Belue) but I can't get number 32. I have tried saying cool Latios or whatever to the berry masters wife but I can't get it. I am positive that I have not got it yet. I need help please and quick.

Berry #32, Pamtre Berry, is obtained by telling the Berry Master CHALLENGE CONTEST

Note that you need to have participated in a contest to get the CONTEST keyword.

Actually, no you don't. I have never participated in a contest in my life and I have gotten it before.
Does anyone actually know what's needed to get that word? Some people say you need to have been in a contest, some say you need to have a contest pass, some say you need to be the league Champ...I think all of these have been disproven at one time or another...anyone know for sure?

You have to beat the Elite Four (Five) to get the word CONTEST. CONTEST is in the group EVENT and this group only appears after you beat the E4.

I have verified this. On my Ruby game I have won a contest before I have beaten the E4 but I couldn't select the above phrase.
Then on a Sapphire game of a friend where he beat the E4 but haven't gotten a contest pass he could select the above phrase and got a Pamtre berry.

What about the word "Super"? Its not unlocked on my cartridge. I thought it would have been unlocked by beating the Super Rank Pokemon Contest, but I was mistaken. I have not beaten the Elite 4, so does anyone have any ideas perchance?

The word SUPER just like CONTEST is part of the Group EVENT. which only appears after you beat the E4.

This happens after you have already got a Pamtre Berry once.
Are you really sure you never got one?
