Can Sceptile or Charizard learn Crunch?

Meowth's Pokedex says they can't, but is there a way for either of them to learn Crunch?

I'm pretty sure Zard can't get Crunch... but Sceptile can through breeding. Train up a male Salamence to the point when it learns Crunch and breed it with your female Sceptile. Baby Treecko with Crunch.

Charizard can't inherit Crunch, but it can inherit Bite. I find training up Seviper easier for Crucnh because it learns the move earlier (unless you're playing ruby).

Ryhorn learns Crunch and can breed with the Treecko family. Ryhorn is also the breeding vector for Crush Claw. Zangoose -> Ryhorn -> Treecko.

Unfortunately none of these can combine Crunch with Leech Seed, which would be nice. Don't think there is a FRLG vector for that combo onto Treecko either (Smeargle doesn't breed with them...)

without g/s/c compatibility to r/s, there's no way to get crunch onto charizard. sry.

why would you want to have crunch on zard or sceptile anyway, if i might ask? i tend to like leaf blade/dragon claw or hp ice/protect/leech seed(can he learn it?). i dunno. dark moves just tend to be obsolete really.

Crunch will be more effective than Dragon Claw vs most non-Dragon targets because it has a chance of reducing Special Defense. Dragon Claw just does a bunch of damage. Sceptile doesn't get STAB on either, and they are the same base damage, accuracy and PP, so they compare very easily to each other.

In any case, Leaf Blade, Crunch and Dragon Claw are all strong special attacks - Leaf Blade is the mainstay attack, Dragon Claw addresses Dragon (to which Grass is weak, doubly so vs the expected Dragon/Flying types),
and Crunch performs better than the other two vs Ghost & Psychics. HP-Ice gives better coverage, but you'd replace Dragon Claw with that one, not Crunch.
