Where in the world is Chimeco?

I have 2 male Chimecos on my Ruby game. I got both from trades, but I want a female to give it Heal Bell. I can't remember for the life of me where they're at! I think they're on top of Mt. Pyre, but I've looked in that foggy grass and haven't seen a one! RSVP if you know where to find it!

Mt. pyre it is. But keep in mind they're pretty damn rare.

Top of Mount Pyre. it's rare, kinda like Ralts-rare or Slakoth-rare. Even rarer - the Jolly-Slakoth-On-Your-First-Catch-Rare.

You-Are-Going-To-Get-So-Goddamn-Sick-And-Tired-Of-Duskull rare. I'd advise you bring a few different pokémon to battle the Duskull with, so that you have some way to break the monotony every so often. You can also find Shuppet up there; they're rare, but not as rare as Chimecho. You might encounter one of then every ten minutes or so of constant searching. They can help break the monotony too.

After years and years of constant searching I found one! YAY! oh wait, it's MALE. GOl) D**mlT f@$&*n' Bv(( S4it @$$ h()le CHIMECO!!! I H8 you!!!

Also I'm playin Saphire. I look at this as Atk EV training for my pokes right now. I think b/f I find the next one I'll find my first shiny too! (if that isn't looking at the bright side I don't know what is...)

Haha, me and my female Chimecho laugh at you all.

Chimecho is about 1% of the encounters up there, but luckily its a 50-50 Male-Female chance. Good luck on finding a female.

You could just wait to FR/LG comes out, and breed it with a Ditto until you get a Female.

I found three in the span of an hour. You'd need an Acro Bike and a good amount of patience.

You know how on the summit of Mt. Pyre there are four golden headstones (which look like shields, honestly) on the right side? Go in the grass there. In the center of all four of them are two tiles of grass. Hold B and keep jumping on those two tiles for as long as it takes. For whatever reason, those tiles have a higher percentage of Chimecho than the others.

It works for me.

I got me a little female Chimeco now! YAY! It was the next one I saw, but it took FOREVER to get! What is it w/me and wanting pokemon that are so hard to find! I mean I spent the last 3 weeks doing the following:

Light Ball Pikachu with Hidden Power ICE and Timid nature. (15 days all together)

Feebas. Nuf said. Feebas. (6 days)

Chimeco hiding and just laughing at the blister on my left thumb. Darn you Chimeco, Darn you to Yale....(2 days)

I hate them, but I've gotten enough female Feebas and Chimeco to never have to do that again!

It's no accident that many of the prime pokémon are hard to get. My longest project was probably breeding Counter and Revenge together on to Hariyama, which took more than a month (mainly 'cause I was a bit fussy about EVs...). Breloom -> Cacnea -> Machop -> Makuhita.

I'm lucky like that - my first Pikachu was holding light ball, I caught a Ralts on the first turn (IE: they're super-rare but I wasn't aware of that - it was the first wild Poke in that patch of grass) and my Feebas hunt took under an hour.

i'll go with Alberto's advice. When you say summit, you do mean the bit where the old people are? Cos on my Sapphire, there is the old folks, to the right andleft respectively (after goin down) there are patches of grass, but none (IIRC) of only 2 squares.

Alberto's not talking about a patch of two squares. He's talking about two squares, within a large patch, that are marked by gravestones at each of the four corners.

I caught a female Chimecho! Yayness. She's really kool. It took a while, but it was ok really. Hmm it's got a nice movepool, imo, I might raise one up....and Levitate's handy!
