    Default General Question: When should...

When should I allow Treeko to evolve? It's currently Lv19 at the moment. Yes I have started again, but from past knowledge pre-evolutions learn moves quicker than when they're evolved.

Any suggestions? Perhaps a moveset thrown in as well.

Those moves don't really matter because Treecko just gets Giga Drain that his evolutions don't get. We all know Leaf Blade is the best grass move he can have because it's his signature and has a hit critical hit radio.

    Crunch
    Leaf Blade
    Dragon Claw
    Protect/Toxic

That moveset also works well as a Special Sweeping Sceptile.

Thanks for the moveset there and the move tip, . So I should eventually allow my Treeko to evolve? What level would you suggest?

Another question: When levelling up Treeko, if I don't allow it to evolve, will that mean the stats will be weaker than if I did evolve it at it's evolution stages?

E.g. If I level up Treeko to Lv40 will the stats be weaker than they would be if I had let it evolve into Grovyle and Sceptile?

Well, the only thing that you will really gain by not letting your Treecko evolve is the ability to learn Mega Drain and eventually Giga Drain. And of course, if you don't let your Pokémon evolve, they will learn moves at earlier levels than their evolved forms. However, Leaf Blade is a better move than Giga Drain IMO, and if you wait too long to evolve Treecko, you will have to use the Move Tutor to get Leaf Blade. If you delay a Pokémon's evolution, you aren't going to make it any weaker, it will still be getting its EVs. IMO, it would be best to just let your Treecko evolve naturally, (at Level 16 into Grovyle, and at Level 36 into Sceptile) but you aren't going to hurt anything if you decide not to.

Thanks. I'll take your advice. I'll let ol' Treeko evolve at the next lv into Grovyle then. Thanks again.
