Mimic Circle...

If anyone has been there, all the trainers spoke of mimicking you, right?

But it seems that they don't follow my move.

But there is one time I use cut on the thick grass, and this one trainer kept following me.

So does the mimic circle trainers only follow you when you cut those grassses?

No. They still follow me, and it is SO irritating!

They mimic, but not (always) in the same direction. E.g. you walk right, one of them walks up, another one down, etc. The fun thing about it is that you can make them move without leaving your square, by walking into a tree.

For the rest, they don't really have a purpose, I'd say.

Out of boredom, I once tried cutting ALL the thick grass. I don't know if this is the same for everyone, but once all the grass was gone, they all stayed in one spot but copied my turning. It was like you have this bunch of people spinning.

They're a bunch of trainers on Route 119 or something (well, it's the one right above Route 118) that walk in a particular direction when you walk in the tall grass that they're in.

As far as direction...don't think "going up". Think "going forward". It's like one of them says...if you take a step forward, they step forward too, in whatever direction they're facing...if you turn to the right (which could be from facing down to facing left), they turn to the right as well...however, each has a certain small square that they can act in. If copying you would make them step out of their area, they won't. And one more thing...once you defeat a member of the Mimic Circle, he'll stop moving until you leave the Route, just like the trainers in GSC that turned in place.
