Well i think there is probably a way to help keep Shedinja alive in 2vs2 battles but i was wonderin if anybody knew how. I dont think his ability can be switched but i could be wrong.

Actually, it's Trace that works and Role Play that doesn't.
I never heard of Trace before.
Can anybody tell me what it does and who learns it.
Trace is an ability. The Ralts line can have it.
It copies your enemy's ability.
Well is there any way i could make sure trace copies Shedinja's ability and not someone else or is it all random.
porygon also gets it, but their fr/lgOriginally Posted by theniceguydk

In 2-on-2, Trace copies the ability of the opponent directly across from the Trace Pokemon. For example:
(Opponent X) (Opponent Y)
(Trace Pokemon 1) (Trace Pokemon 2)
Trace Pokemon 1 will copy the ability of Opponent X, and Trace Pokemon 2 will copy the ability of Opponent Y. Likewise, if Opponent X and Opponent Y swapped places, Trace 1 would copy Y's ability and Trace 2 would copy X's ability.
That's too bad, because you will never copy Shedinja's ability as long as he's on your team. I heard someone say that neither Truant or Wonder Guard could be Skill-Swapped. Too bad he was wrong... Slaking's ability was once swapped by a Slowking on Colosseum.
You forgot the ever so important protect and Lum berry. Protect if you have a feeling they have something SE vs Sheddy, Lum cures Burn, Poison, and Confuse. Rapid Spin is also a must, otherwise shedinja dies the moment it comes out.
