    Default Tropius, or not Tropius?

I regurlary vs a guy who constantly uses earthquake and I think Tropius might e the answer. But I recently was building a combo of Flygon and Cacturn. I was gonna use Sandstorm to give Cacturns evasiveness and Spikes, and Have Flygon use Earthquake while Cacturn Protects. But Would it be beter to use a Tropius instead?

Well, personally i love Tropius. It's stats aren't really that good though... you'd probably be better off with cacturne and flygon.

The turn it takes to set up Sandstorm isn't worth the 1/16th of total HP it takes away every turn, or the tiny evasion boost that Cacturne gets with Sand Veil.

That is, unless you use Tyranitar set up with Sand Stream and have it last until somebody else uses another weather effect.

Remember Flygon and Tropius both have double weaknesses to Ice meaning a Pokemon in 2v2 using Blizzard would probably own them easily. When you put two Pokemon together for 2v2 Battles try and work out how their weaknesses and attack patterns fix together.

I have. The only Ice move used is Ice Beam and that's only on one of his pokes. And on the same turn I'd use Sandstorm, I plan on using spikes, so....

Tropius works much better with Sunny Day - stick to Flygon or Skarmory if setting up a Sandstorm team.

I also like Tropius - a definite member of Team Green. Its stats are not too bad actually - good HP and respectable defenses make it pretty tough against anything but Ice. In 2v2 it will shine with a team-mate using Sunny Day - double Speed and one turn STAB Solarbeam, with boosted Synthesis to get it out of trouble. Useful support moves in Whirlwind and Sweet Scent.

Great....I was planning on putting Kyogre in and I vs Gorudon...Oh well. The sunny day should help me then, with the speed.

you could use a kyogre+kingdra combo. takes a while to make the sets, but by buddha is it worth it.

    kyogre@leftovers
    calmmind
    surf
    thunder/icebeam
    toxic
    (timid-drizzle)

    +

    kingdra@leftovers
    hydropump
    dragonbreath
    blizzard
    hp~electric
    (modest-swiftswim)

kyogre will set off kingdra's swiftswim. calmmind up with kyogre while starting to sweep with kingdra. then when set up, you will own everybody's ass. if some negates drizzle, withdraw and resend.

Tropius is cool, but stay with what you have. Tropius isn't exactly the world's greatest Pokemon.
