No, I don't believe so. Remember, Gonbe (Snorlax's pre-evo) isn't even an RS Pokemon. It's probably going to come in the next series. In the same way that you can't get Wynaut (Wobbuffet's pre-evo) onto a GSC cartridge, you can't get Gonbe onto an RS game. Sorry.
btw, I think Gonbe is just its Japanese name, too... it hasn't been given an English name, to my knowledge.
Yes, mr_pikachu is right. Only the first 386 Pokémon are going to be in the Ruby/Sapphire/Colosseum/FireRed/LeafGreen series. Gonbe is probably going to be a part of the next generation of games. Nintendo usually releases pictures and the names of a few of the new Pokémon from the next generation of games a year and a half or two before the games are released in the United States.

Gonbe will be real. Cool. Any other new pokemon coming out?

I know Wynaut can't be on g/s/c cuz the games are not compatible whit ru/sa and is a new generation but maybe just maybe there is a way to get snorlax's on ru/sa ri/gr is compatible whit them to start whit. Maybe no one know he is there because no one have taken the time to look for him. And bisede that they are't going to make a new game just for one pokemon they have never done a game whith only one new poke and they told that this was a remake.
God man. Could you catch Marril in Red/Blue? It's the same deal. If it was in the game, the hackers would've found it, like the others forms of Deoxys.Originally Posted by Crimson Wing Killer
Rudoku makes a good point. Despite the fact that you can trade between GSC and RBY games, you can't get a GSC generation Pokemon on a RBY game. That's because the programmers hadn't written in the data for GSC Pokemon onto the RBY cartridges. If you recall those games, they wouldn't allow you to even get into the trading center if you had a Pokemon in GSC that couldn't be found in RBY. They'll do the same sort of thing in the next generation.
And besides, the hackers would've found it if it was there, anyway. How do you think all those online Pokedexes had info on Jirachi, Deoxys, and the special Unown characters if they couldn't be obtained at the time? The hackers found every possible Pokemon that was programmed into the game, even though they couldn't be legally obtained at the time (and btw, some of them still can't). But they never found Gonbe. It's safe to say that it'll be GSC all over again with the next generation. You just flat-out won't be able to get them to an RS cartridge. Sorry to disappoint you.
No, they wouldn't make a new series of games for one Pokémon, but Nintendo always releases pictures of a few of the upcoming Pokémon quite awhile before the next generation of games are released. It is very likely that most of the Pokémon that will be in the new games have not even been thought up yet. Nintendo may release some pictures of a few of the new Pokémon, but they aren't going to release info on all of them. Something has to be a surprise!! Soon after Gold/Silver were released, Nintendo released pictures of three of the Ruby/Sapphire Pokémon, as well as their Japanese names. I know that Kecleon was one of those Pokémon that Nintendo announced. I can't remember the other 2 off-hand though. I think that they were Azurill and Wailmer, but I am not 100% sure.Originally Posted by Crimson Wing Killer

I thought the Pokemon Game Boy games were going to cease because Nintendo was running out of ideas for Pokemon.
Well, I'd expect them to be very careful in regards to expansion, becauseOriginally Posted by Lee

But running out of ideas? I doubt it. What I *would* expect is that there won't be any GBA games after Emerald or "Ocean Blue" - the next generation almost certainly will be designed for the Nintendo DS.
