Default Desperatly needed help and quick

I am doing an experiment at the moment involving wismur and family. I need a suggested nature and EV's. A moveset mabye.

I am trying to raise a quality wismur which will eventually become an exploud.

Please reply quick please or the wismur project cannot continue

PS: when breeding does the offspring take on the best IVs of its parents.

The offspring takes on 3 of its parents' characteristics. This is random, and sometimes it inherits the same stat from the mother and the father, meaning it only inherits two in total.

    Um.

The Whismur family is one of the more versatile ones in the game, having both good Attack and Special Attack and a good range of physical and elemental attacks to choose from. There is no one good set for them, though Rest is reccomended.

It's one of the few that can learn Extrasensory (through breeding from Nuzleaf or Shiftry), but doesn't usually have the speed to gain any benefit from Extrasensory's Flinch. Can be teamed up with a Paralyser for good effect (Stomp also is useful for the same purpose).

Earthquake can be bred on, which is good (many final stage pokemon can only get it by TM as their earlier stages do not learn it). Ditto for Brick Break. Hyper Beam is a natural move.

I love exploud, I use one in my team, and it's really only there because of two reasons: It's a powerhouse, and like rinku said, very versitle.

    -Hyper Voice
    -Thunderbolt
    -Rest
    -Sleep Talk

This is the moveset that I use, and it's actually surprisingly useful. Hyper Voice for STAB w/good accuracy T-Bolt to pick up the slack of electricity on my team and rest/sleep talk makes him go ALL NIGHT LONG. He learns all of these moves cept t-bolt naturally. ill post again later if u have ?'s. hope i helped.

Umm... None of the Whismur family can learn Thunderbolt. It can only learn Shockwave as an Electric-type move.

Well, the sunny beam Exploud is pretty predictable (like any sunnybeam/thunderdance pokemon), so while it does work well, your opponent will have you cornered in no time if you don't sweep, and well, Exploud doesn't have the defenses to be a slow sweeper like Metagross.

Sleep Talk Exploud = goodness, however.

By the way, a fully-charged Return is more powerful than Hyper Voice. I know it's really tempting to use Hyper Voice, but you'll be better off with boring old Return.

    And so...

    Exploud@Leftovers
    -speed +attack (or special attack)
    Rest
    Sleep Talk
    Brick Break/HP Electric
    Return/Ice Beam

The problem with Exploud is he doesn't learn enough high-powered physical attacks... only Normal-type ones and Earthquake (which = bad for Sleep Talk)... so it's nowhere near perfect, but decent.

Hyper Voice is more of a 2vs2 option, though it does not count as a contact attack (which Return does). It is immune to the effect of Hyper Voice as well, which makes it Mirror Move proof (for whatever that is worth). But I'd generally agree that Return is a better choice than Hyper Voice.

Stomp is a valid choice if your particular pokémon has a good Speed rating.

Is Body Slam a new FR/LG possibility? I didn't think it was available to them. If so, it would go sweetly with Stomp and/or Extrasensory. Smellingsalt is another move that goes with some form of paralyse.

Secret Power is the only Ru/Sa move that it can learn that can paralyse (which it will do in link battles) AFAIK. Try this:

    Secret Power
    Smellingsalt/Stomp
    Rest
Something to deal with Ghosts (Shadow Ball springs to mind...)

Sleep Talk is an unaffordable luxury if all the other moves are Normal type.

    Thanks.

My Wismur is of the Modest nature since it was the only one with decent IV's.

    They are as follows:
    Hp:24
    Attack:20
    Defense:26
    Sp.Atk:20
    Sp.Def:30
    Speed:12

Don't say its bad becuase it took me 30-40 Wismurs to find that one. It was the best of the bunch. I no its not good in speed or with a great nature but i am using it as a special sweeper and the other IV's make up for the speed which isn't bad for a pokemons worst IV they are usually something like 6.

I am going to keep going with project Wismur thanks a bunch.

Its stats are fine. Ultimately everyone has to decide just how much effort they are going to put into waiting for good stats/nature/ability/gender.
