Another Effort Point Question

I was thinking of training the Groudon I just caught yesterday but I knew I didn't get to breed it so I have to get this ones Effort Points just right. I know that you can only recieve so many and about 255 in one stat. So what do I have to do to ensure my Groudon gets as many effort points as possible and becomes as strong as possible? Ughh I hope I made that make sense^_^

Give it 5 rare candies and tell me its stats + personality at level 50.

oh, I only have 1 Rare Candy so far, and it's got the Brave Personality. Where can I get other Rare Candys?

Nevermind about the rare candies then, I just wanted to find out your IVs.

For a brave Groudon, I'd give it EVs of 108 HP, 138 Att, 12 Def, 252 SD.

[HP] 368
[ATTACK] 407
[DEFENSE] 319
[SP. ATK] 236
[SP. DEF] 279
[SPEED] 194

These would be its stats at level 100 if Groudon has maximum IVs.

Thanks, though now do you only gain the effort points when leveling up or all the time and should I go find enemies that give the most Effort Points?

Don't you get the best stats if you level up by battiling???Or does rare candy give you the same stats a a pokemon who battles????
