    Default ~*~*~ Chronicles of the Rift ~*~*~ ( Late Sign Ups ) Rated M

    This isn’t Chronicles of the Rift 3, but a remake, or really a recreation of the first one with a new story. It will also be ran by three hosts, instead of just one. Also I have absolutely no idea what will happen in this one, so far in my post just swearing, could be violence, swearing, man piles, anything.

    Chronicles Of The Rift
    Brought to you by:
    Bulbasaur4, PokemonLuver, and Roy Karrde

    Series Created by
    Roy Karrde and Fai D. Flowright

    No one remembers how the hatred was born or how it grew to consume them. Two races - one of part animal, one fully human - seemed to always have distrusted and despised one another. The hate was widely spread and grew with every generation- passed down from parent to child, sibling to sibling, and neighbor to neighbor. Perhaps the hate grew from experience, from ideology, or even from the very core of their creation. Yet the extent of the hatred is very clear - hating the other race with such a passion that they wished to see the others wiped from the face of the world.

    This world, called Plyos, is a world quite different from our Earth. It is comprised of only two races - Half Breeds and Humans. Half Breeds are a very diverse race that carry the characteristics of animals and can even become animals. While Humans have learned to master the energy known as magic.

    Two kingdoms, one dominated by Half Breeds, the other by humans, exist on Plyos, and neither have been able to wage any sort of war against the other due to a large expanse of ocean that separate the two lands. Because of the distance between the two kingdoms, any type of invasion would be nearly impossible. The amount of time for supplies to be carried across the ocean to an exhausted army would be too long and the amount of ships needed would be far too great. It was an accepted impossibility between the kingdoms.

    That is until a Half Breed scientist began to notice the length of travel between the two continents by merchants seemed to become shorter and shorter. At first his worries were laughed at, explained as faster trade routes and better boats. But for years the evidence mounted until eventually only one explanation remained. The two seperated continents were slowly drifting together and the two races, who had such a seething hatred for each other, were quickly heading on a collision course for a war that many thought would never come.

    Weapons were being forged, battle plans were being drawn up, armies were being trained, but in the end the result would be the same. Both Kingdoms were facing a destructive war that would not end until one race was eradicated completely.

    As the High Queen Kiiah the 4th of the Half Breeds watched her armies trained, she could only fear that the future of her race was soon to come to a end. While Half Breeds possessed a strength and a will unmatched by the Humans; they could never match the awesome strength of the Human’s best mages and witches. Worse yet she was afraid of the maniac Prince who controlled the humans. A racist man who devoted many resources into finding ways to kill Half Breeds, either through strength, magical, or even biological means.

    With no other choice, Kiiah turned to a unlikely source- three human mages who fled their kingdom in fear of being forced to participate in the upcoming genocide. The three mages sacrificed their life to summon a powerful magic, which reached out to all corners of Plyos, summoning warriors with pure hearts to the Castle.

    It also reached beyond Plyos, to Earth, where it reaches you, as you spend the morning surfing the net and stumble on to a PM for what looks like a new RPG. You mistake Kiiah’s cry for help as a actual RPG on TPM and feel compelled to sign up for it. When you press the reply button the screen goes blank, and for a moment you wonder if a power surge has just hit your computer. Yet quickly darkness envelops your room, surrounding you from all sides and then swiftly pulls you in.

    When you awaken you are no longer in your world. You have arrived in the world of Plyos, in the body of the character you have created.

    You are tasked by the Queen to set out and find a mystical land that is only told about in fables; a land that will hide the Half Breed race and shelter them from the invading human hordes. Time is of the essence- an entire race of people depend on you.

    Will you save them?

    Or will you let them perish?

    ~*~*~*~*~ Late Monday Night ~*~*~*~*~

    It was the dimming hours of Monday, just a few more days until Thanksgiving over here in America. The day had been filled with ups and downs, from waiting for hours in math class, to finally receiving an internship at a major company. I should have felt elated; I should have felt as if I finally had a weight lifted off of my back.

    Instead I felt as if I had accomplished nothing, that I had just sat around all day on my computer accomplishing nothing. It was a nagging feeling that seemed to grow stronger and stronger with each passing hour, each passing minute. Just a year before I would have shrugged off this feeling, cast it aside with the thought ‘I’ll do something tomorrow’.

    But a month of building up to the internship, a month of portfolio work, a month of rushing around like crazy, and now suddenly with nothing to do. I just ended up feeling empty, absolutely hollow inside. And with each passing moment, with each passing minute of emptiness, it seemed to grow.

    I fired off a quick IM to classy, browsed the normal websites, Serebii, Hot Air, Pokemasters. My mind seemed to nearly go on autopilot during this, as if I would see the website, but not read it, only seeing it for the colors that made up the template for the sight. I hated when my brain would do that, go on autopilot for what made up hours in my day.

    It was almost as if I had trained my brain, to go through the normal websites, checking for anomalies, something out of the ordinary that would snap me back into reality. A key word, a phrase, something that would awaken me from my coma like state. It was doing this, the checks of websites that seemed to bring about the boredom, the restlessness, and eventually the emptiness. I had two weeks before the internship, one week before finals.

    And this is how I was going to spend that time? On autopilot?

    It was an anomaly that did eventually bring me out of my slumber; the zero on my PM inbox had changed to a one. It was something that small, that insignificant, that drew my attention. For a moment I wondered if it was just a article for the December edition of RPG News, possibly Kalah had finished a essay or short story she wanted added.

    I moved my hand over the Private Messages tab, a small twinge of regret that I hadn’t really been able to contribute to the last two issues. I made a mental note to do more, to provide more, and clicked on it. The PM ended up not being from Kalah or anyone I really knew, but a new users advertising their RPG.

    “Okay havn’t seen you before..” I mumbled, sending a quick question to Kalah and Classy, wondering if either one of them had received the PM or known the new user. Instead of waiting for a reply I went about reading the message.

    For a new user the plot was well crafted, something that while unexpected, was a welcomed sight, well in reality any new RPG was a welcomed sight, especially one posted by a member who could become an active RPGer on the forums. Part of me wanted to tell him not to advertise on PMs, but another part, the stronger part, said to fire back a sign up in hopes of not scaring him off.

    “Hell, I’m not going to be blamed for scaring the guy off.” I let out a deep breath, sending another message to the others that I was sending off a sign up. In a matter of minutes I had completed the sign up, my hands moving almost with a mind of their own as I completed the character form. “Well at least I will have something to do these last few weeks.”

    My hand moved over to the send, hovering over the button for a mere second before clicking it.

    Instantly the screen went black and I let out a string of curses that made me wonder if my mother had heard. The freaking computer had shut down, what was wrong this time, did I have a virus? A hardware failure? I didn’t have the money to fix it and this thing was my life line, especially with a job in the next few weeks where I relied on the computer!

    I tried to move my leg to kick the computer only to find my leg frozen, had it fallen asleep on me? I tried to move my arm to touch my leg only to find it frozen in place as well. My heart began to pound in my ears, each beat growing louder as my eyes remained fixated on the black screen. It seemed so dark, so comforting, like a giant blanket. Eventually all I could see was the black monitor screen, it stretched out and surrounded everything. Until eventually the whole world seemed as black and empty as the monitor.

    ~*~*~*~*~*

    I awoke with a jolt, my lungs feeling with icy air that seemed to sting as it went in and then as it came out. Each breath was a struggle, as if I were running as fast as I could in a blizzard and trying my best to suck in air. The room was freezing cold, and every single inch of my body hurt.

    I let out a small groan and rolled onto my back, what ever I was laying on it was cold, flat, and hard, like some sort of marble. The room was chilled, almost freezing like a meat locker, and I was drenched in sweat making it even more uncomfortable. “Breathe… deep breaths.” A voice told me.

    I followed it’s advice, taking deep breaths as two strong hands pushed me up into a sitting position. I immediately bent over and coughed, retching actually in a sound so disgusting but no matter how much I coughed nothing would come up. It was at this time I realized I was wearing something heavy but soft, like a large fluffy coat. It too seemed to be soaked in sweat, I was so tired, so exhausted, that I must had been running for miles to get this way.

    “Take her into the room with the others.” Another voice said. I was only really half listening, too busy with my coughing fits. I only noticed something happening when two large arms grabbed me under my arm pits and picked me up. These guys must have been giants, I mean actual giants because as they carried me my feet did not touch the floor once.

    When they opened the door out of the freezing room I was nearly blinded by the light, my eyes adjusting slowly as I began to make out shapes, humanoid shapes. Ever so slowly larger shapes and detail became apparent as I was dumped onto the floor, my body eventually slumping against the wall. “What the…fuck…” I groaned struggling to make out the color and detail of everything around me.

    I was in a large room, filled with large hanging flags and drapes, the floor made out of marble as was the walls, it looked like some kind of throne room you would find in England. “Christ where am I..” I closed my eyes, rubbing them with two fingers before opening them again and noticing a lock of blonde damp hair had swung into my line of sight. I quickly batted it away and went back to rubbing my eyes as I began to make out the sound of footsteps approaching.

    “So… do you know where we are?” The voice asked.

    My eyes remained closed as I wiped the sweat and possibly ice off my forehead before slowly smearing the hand down my cheek. “I seriously have no fucking clue.” I groaned, only half aware of what I was saying.

    Everyone can be in various states of awareness. If you were only transported there and just always lived in Pylos, you guys would be the first to arrive at the Throne Room and would have been there the longest and be the least amount groggy. Those that were transported into a already existing body you would have been there a hour or so, and aware of yourself and the other mind, those that had a new body created just for them, that takes the longest and requires the most amount of magic and skill. As well as causing the creation room to go to just above freezing when the body is made, so you can be anywhere from groggy to alert. Feel free to mingle or just be in absolute stunned shock, or figure out that you are not even in the same body!

    Either Kalah or Becki will post with the beginnings of Queen Kiiah’s intro, if not then I will cover it all in my next post!

    Real Name: Danielle
    Gender: Female
    Personality: Sarcastic and a bit crude, Danielle tends to think more logically than emotionally(although she has her moments). She's a bit of a pessimist and will think of every possible outcome before approaching a problem. This can lead to her anxiety acting up, which she'll pretty much shut herself from the world. She typically likes to work alone, out of old habit, and keeps her emotions hidden.
    ---FORM START---
    Name: Althalos (last name isn't known to self, he was given his name by his teacher. Real name is Asche Van Alstyne)
    Gender: Male
    Race: Human
    Age: 25
    Personality: Carefree, Althalos has a nasty habit of not thinking before he goes into fights and does things on a whim. He tends to wear his heart on his sleeves and it's quite easy to notice if he's angry. That being said, it's pretty hard to anger him and he's patient to some extent. Most of this is just a ruse though, as Althalos is a pretty serious person at times - mostly towards anything that is about his past. It can get to the point where it's all he thinks and cares about.

    He's also a bit naive about almost everything, to the extent of annoying people around him.
    Bodily Appearance: Stands around 6'2", he isn't as built as one would think; but he has some muscle on his chest and legs. His hair is a maple brown and is styled a lot like the guy in this picture. Althalos' eyes are a emerald green and is of fair skin. On his back is the tattoo(nothing too intricate) that allows him to channel elements into his halberd.
    Clothing Appearance: Wears a thin chain of mail underneath his clothing, his clothing consists of deep blue trousers with a belt around the waist(brown, leather-ish) and a (silkish)black long sleeve shirt with silver trim around the wrists. He has a silver rope that connects to the end of the pole and near the blade of the halberd, this is what he uses to carry his balberd around.(It's slinged around his chest so the halberd rests on his back). As well as the halberd being on his back, he keeps a leathery sack with a thin robe slung on his back. The contents inside include his personal diary(his third one, he keeps this in case he loses his memory again), ink+pen, money, jerky and canteen.
    Weapon: His weapon is a long halberd, with a black painted-maple pole as it's handle. The blade on top is curved slightly near the end(like a cutlass). Where the blade and pole meet is wrapped in a red colored tassel. It's much more like a naginata in it's design, but he calls it a halberd(Danielle calls it a naginata). On the pole are carved-in runes that allow him to channel his magic into the blade.
    Magic: His magic is a bit uncontrollable in the sense that while he was able to control elements prior to the tattoo and sword, it was unpredictable and typically happened on the whim of an heavily-felt emotion. The tattoo controls it to the extent that he can channel it to his sword, but it can – from time to time – occur because he’s too emotional.(Note that his elemental magic isn't as strong as someone who has specialized into one element.)

    That being said, his magic is of the elements(more specifically, fire/wind/water/earth) and is more potent when he channels it to his blade than using it like a mage. Using the runes on his halberd and the tattoo on his back, he can channel only one element at a time onto his halberd. However, he ends up exhausted after the process, so it can’t be used in quick succession. He cannot use any other weapon besides his halberd unless he makes a rune with his blood on the weapon itself, and this method isn't as powerful as using his halberd.
    ---FORM FINISH---
    Changed Personality: Since Danielle's soul was implanted in Althalos, not much has changed about her besides the fact that she can get ill tempered when having to deal with Althalos and his carefree actions. Althalos and Danielle are opposites and tend to compliment each other well, since Danielle thinks too much and Althalos thinks too little.
    History: Althalos was born to two loving parents and a older sister. He went on living peacefully and ignorant, starting an apprenticeship with the local blacksmith; until the day after his 14th birthday. On his way home from a days work, he found his house ransacked and his parents killed - his sister not found. As he stood in horror at the sight of his parents, bloodied on the floor; the magus came back and saw the child starting to weep over his parent.The magus, startled at another child, hit Althalos on the back of the head with his staff. Inconsequentially, a spell was cast at the moment the staff hit his head, making Althalos forget everything(not so much a memory erasure but his memories were cast away and are in the far reaches of his unconscious.

    Waking up in an alley, Althalos wondered for a day, unfamiliar with the town the magi dumped him in(in both he forgot, and he was dumped in a town far away) until he passed out in a knight's front yard. Taken in and fed, he was given the name Althalos, the name of the knight's dead son, and took up the halberd. It was until recent that Althalos departed with his adoptive father, hoping to get stronger from travel and try to find a way to remember his past, which has been slowly returning to him in the form of dreams this recent year.
    Other: Has been traveling this past month in hopes of finding more about his past. Is kinda over protective about his diary.>.>;

    Danielle

    Danielle took a deep sigh as she turned on her computer for another night of web surfing, anime watching and world of warcraft playing. It was the same old routine that she had for a long while now, since she quit Role Playing at Pokemasters for a reason she couldn't remember. She would get things done during the day, and when she was done, she'd play video games and surf the web.

    "Nothing new, really.."She mumbled as she listened to the fans turn on, enjoying the noise - and much more the silence that was required to hear them. Silence was bliss, she thought to herself, as the Windows' screen passed and her desktop came into view. Danielle waited until the Wireless connection was secure, and double clicked on the Firefox icon.

    She'd just go and check the few anime blogs she visited, elitist jerks,the wow forums, and rangerboard before going on World of Warcraft. This was the norm and was done every night, except for this night. She had been thinking about her old Role Plays, which were nothing special, and why she had stopped doing them. But she couldn't remember why she had stopped, or atleast figure out a reason not to go back and peek on Pokemasters for a few minutes. Although it'd break the normal routine, she'd atleast see how things were doing these days.

    "Log on.."She mumbled, again to herself, as she took a few tries to remember her old password for the forums. Tabbing out for a few minutes as she logged in, reading a few funny threads on the WoW boards while waiting it for it to finish loading. Tabbing back in, she looked to the right and saw that there was 9 Private Messages. 8 Old ones, probably ones she never got around to deleting when she used to frequent the boards, and the new one was probably someone trying to see if she was alive. Danielle chuckled slightly to that thought as she clicked the Private Messages link at the top of the page.

    The PM itself wasn't from someone she knew. Thinking to herself that the worse it could be was some spam about some random board, she opened it up to read before tabbing back out to finish the thread she was reading on the WoW forums.

    The contents of the PM was basically the newbie advertising their RPG, and providing a link to the signup thread on the RPG forums. Leaning foward, chin in palm, Danielle read it over two times. It's been a while, she thought to herself, where she had participated in a RPG. There wasn't a reason for her not to, just like the 'disappeared' reason for her not continuing to RPG a while back. This RPG, while made by someone who was new, was intruiging and unnaturally pulling. Copying and pasting the sign up onto WordPad, she started to work on a sig nup. WoW could wait, she thought to herself, plus it'd break me from the norm a bit if I did something new.

    It took about 20 minutes to finish the form. The character was a guy, something that she typically played more than females but never put much thought into. The only hard part about him was his name, but even that soon popped into her head. Finished and satisfied, she copied the completed form and pressed the "Post Reply" button at the top of the post. Pasting the form into the textbox, she read it once over; knowing she'd probably spot any mistakes once it was posted. Sighing hesitantly, she closed her eyes as she hit enter, a bit nervous about if she did anything wrong on her signup. It took a second before she opened her eyes, seeing her monitor in front of her, with a black screen. The LED in her keyboard keys had stopped glowing a faint blue, and the noise of the fans running stopped completely.

    "Damn it.." Danielle sighed deeply as she went to press the button to turn the computer - the computer she had built earlier in September and had been proud of finishing. However, her arm remained stiff, resting against her side. As she went to say 'Did I dislocate it..?' to herself, she found her voice mute and her mouth inoperable. More and more of her body stopped responding to her completely, the last part being her eyes. Fixated on the black screen, the area around it - her lamp, her calender, her beloved Transformers cup that held her pens and pencils - faded into the pitch blackness of the screen until there was nothing left.

    Althalos

    "Mmm, that was a good nap."Althalos smiled as he sat up. It was mid-day in Plyos and he had decided three hours earlier to take a nap after traveling the seemingly endless grassy plains for a whole night and day without sleeping. Once he had found a tree to lean against, his eyes fell shut and slumber soon came. But it was time to set out again, in order to stop by the next town on his journey. The journey itself was in hopes of finding anything about his past, not the past 11 years, but the 14 years prior to meeting his adoptive father. As well as to get stronger, of course.

    Taking a piece of jerky out of his sack as he stood up, he bit down on it and let it hang from his mouth as he slung his halberd's rope around his chest so the weapon itself rested on his back. The weapon itself hadn't seen much use on the journey so far, but it kept him comfort and provided him protection. Biting down on the jerky and taking it back into his hand, he started to walk. According to his plans, he would be able to reach the next town by midnight and be able to rest in town for a few days before setting off. Unless, of course, this town had any info on his past.

    The seemingly endless grassy plains seemed to roll on forwards as Althalos continued to walk. Finishing the jerky, he sighed as he frowned, bored at the nothingness that was happening. He wanted a fight, either to watch or to participate in. His blood stood restless as he tried to keep himself from getting too antsy, but the frown remained on his face.

    Until, that is, a sweet smell wafted up into his nose. As sweet as fruit, the frown from his face disappeared as he looked around. Maybe he had wondered near a fragrant plant or herb that was edible, something to break him from the dried salty meat he had been surviving on for his journey.

    The hope, however, soon wavered as Althalos' body slowly felt tired once more. Collapsing on his knees, Althalos looked around..maybe he had wondered too close to a poisonous fragrant plant or herb? In hopes it'd pass, he closed his eyes and soon fell asleep.

    'Brother, come here!'A voice rung in his dream, a repeating dream that seemed to never change. The voice was familiar, but at the same time, felt distant.
    "Coming!"A male childs voice replied. The scenery was much like the one he passed out in, a seemingly continuous field of grass with a few patches of flowers here and there. The male's voice felt much more familiar to him, almost as if it was him. In the point of view of the male child, he would bend down and snag a flower from the field, and run towards the female voice.

    "Here, I got this for mom."He could feel his face smile as he showed the flower to the female voice. The body of the voice was blurred out, although the faint outline of a white shit and brown pants could easily be made out. But the hair and face was much too blurry to identify the person.
    "That's nice."She replied, her voice much more gentler than when she called out earlier. Looking around on the grass, she picked out a flower from the bunch she had picked out from the fields."I guess then I'll give mom this one, ..."

    As if on cue, the voice would quickly grow distant, until nothing was coming out of the females voice..The scenery would grow whiter and whiter until nothing remained but the boy himself

    --

    "Mm.."A voice crept out of Althalos' mouth as his eyes slowly opened. However, he did not control the movement of his eyelids or how quickly he sat up to observe his surroundings. In fact, he wasn't control as his head moved back and forth, observing the room that seemed to be made of marble - a royal's palace. He tried to force his head down, but to no avail..it was either a nightmare or something had happened after he passed out from the sweet smell..

    'Is anyone there?!' He attempted to say, but it instead came out as a thought. As if startled, his old body jumped a little bit back at the voice inside his head, and then sighed.
    'Yes, I'm here, now stop being so nosy' Another voice replied back..a females voice that was a bit deep and almost emotionless. Was a female mage in control of his body and going to use it as her slave?!..as if the female voice was reading Althalos' thoughts, the mental voice of her sighed.'I'm not a fucking mage, I'm not even sure where the hell I am..'
    'You're in my body, get out.'He replied, frustrated.
    'Err..no? This is my body. You get out' The female voice grew tired of Althalos' quickly, and grew quick to ignore him as she used the body to look around more. There were a few more people around, but they seemed much more aware than he was.
    'Look on the floor if you're not sure. It's my body.'Althalos' stubbornly replied to the female voice. Taking his word, she looked down on the marble floor and in a knee-jerk, jumped back as soon as she saw his image on the shiny, polished ground.

    'But...'The female voice seemed confused and started as she lost grip on control, but not enough for Althalos to gain control once more.
    'You seem confused..heh, I can say we're in the same boat. How did I get a girl's voice in my body in the first place, have I gone insane?!'Althalos' voice tinged a bit with sarcasm, and as if she was a snake, she lashed back at him.
    'Maybe you are insane and off your rocker.'She replied, sitting the body up and trying to recover from looking at the reflection on the floor.'But where are we..'
    'Not sure, I've never been in a palace before..' He sighed, coming to the fact that the female voice wasn't going to give him control of his body back unless she wanted to.

    As if on the cue to his sigh, a door opened from the left side of his body. Coming out of the door were two knights carrying a small, petite female body. As if she were a doll, they placed her carefully on the floor, then walked back into the room. Looking at the female curiously, the female voice inside Althalos wondered.
    'I wonder..if I'm not the only one who had this happen to them, if there are other people from the boards here...'She then chuckled,' if that's so, then that definitely needs to be Ryan'
    'Who-wha?'Althalos asked her, but she shrugged him off as she commanded his body to walk and sit down near the petite blonde haired female that sat on the floor. The girl herself seemed to be in a bit of shock as well.

    "So..do you know where we are?"Althalos, well, the female controlling him, said. Althalos himself mumbled at the fact that a girl was in his body.
    "I seriously have no fucking clue.."The petite female replied, the words coming out of her mouth were ones that would be more spoken by an adult than a child.

    Becki, Caine and Loki can be found here.

    ~Becki – During the early hours of Tuesday morning...~

    Staring silently at Facebook, I can’t help but wonder why on earth I decide to stay up so late when I have lectures early in the morning? Of course, nobody in their right mind would even think to be up this late, not anybody I know from Uni, at least. Music Now was a boring lecture anyway, the amount of sleep I have before the lecture probably wouldn’t make much difference to my ability to pay attention.

    “Shut up, cat.” I mutter quietly, irritated by its persistent mewing. Why was it awake too? It was at times like these where I wished I was at home with my dog. He was much cooler, he does neat tricks and plays ball...

    Noticing an MSN window flashing, I quickly read the IM from Jenn. I smile to myself, secretly dribbling over another one of her bishounen characters. I type something back to her, not quite sure exactly what I’ve said, and deciding Facebook is boring, I switch to TPM to check for any new posts.

    Surprisingly, I find I have a PM. ‘Oh no... What does Ryan want now?’ I think, sighing. I soon change my mind as I find the PM is from a completely new user, asking me to join their RPG.

    Impressed by the plot, I decide to sign up straight away, choosing two characters. ‘Well, why not?’ I think to myself. ‘I’ve got plenty of time... Lets make them brothers...’

    Finishing my signups in record time, I glance over the two to make sure they’re okay. ‘Who would have thought these two could possibly be siblings...’ I muse, adding a few finishing touches. ‘I should draw them later.’

    Sitting back in my chair, I click the reply button, my screen instantly going blank. I frown slightly, trying to move my arm to turn on my second monitor, but finding it stuck to the mouse. ‘What’s... What’s going on?’ I think as I close my eyes, the room seeming to spin, unable to open them again.

    I don’t really know what happened after that. Everything felt so surreal, almost like I was dreaming, but I was completely in control. What I do know is that I felt myself hit the floor. Twice.

    ~Loki Kinoshita & Caine Sevion – Slightly headachey~

    Slowly, the cat-boy begins to wake up, yawning and stretching, his vision blurred by the bright light. Confused, he blinks rapidly, wondering where all the colour has gone. Looking around, he sees a few more people, of all different shapes and sizes. He looks at himself, his tail twitching beside him.

    ‘I guess I must be Loki...’ A female sounding voice says inside his head, much to the boy’s confusion. ‘Then where’s...’

    As if on cue, the older of the two boys begins to wake up, finding himself leaning against his brother’s shoulder. Suddenly sitting upright, sensing Loki’s rage, Caine moves away from him. “I didn’t mean to fall asleep on you.” He begins, glancing around the room, very much confused, not knowing where he is.

    ‘Wait...’ The female voice speaks again, this time in Caine’s mind. ‘I’m stuck in Caine’s body too? What the hell?’

    The brothers look at each other, each with mirror like expressions, the highest level of confusion shown across their faces.

    “What do you remember??” They both blurt out at once, startling a few of the people in the room.

    “Well...” Caine begins, an almost dazed look appearing on his face. “I remember sitting down, pressing a load of random buttons for a long time... There was a table and a mug... Then everything went black.”

    “Yeah, I remember that, but I also remember being at home in the village, we were just coming home for dinner, but I don’t remember reaching the house...” Loki contributes, searching his brain for some clue as to what is happening.

    ‘Oh, so what? I get taken from my world and dumped into TWO peoples’ minds that have NO idea what’s going on? This is just great.’ The female’s voice complains loudly, causing them both to flinch. ‘Just peachy...’

    “Well, it’s no good just sitting around here.” Loki says as he stands up, frustrated. Abandoning his brother, he strolls to the other side of the room where a man is sat next to a young girl, about his own age, just catching the end of their conversation.

    “So... Do you know where we are?” The man questions.

    “Not re-” Loki begins to say, attempting to join in.

    “I seriously have no fucking clue...” The young girl replies, Loki’s ears perking up in his astonishment. How could such foul language be coming from a girl that looked so innocent? Maybe she had a similar condition to him, with a strange voice inside her head?

    “This is Plyos.” Loki says, getting the attention of the other two, who both look up at him. He smiles, the little girl seeming a lot nicer than she had a few moments before, her eyes overflowing with curiosity. “That’s all I can really tell you, I don’t know exactly where in Plyos we are, I woke up here a few minutes ago. Do you have amnesia or something?”

    Meanwhile, still sat quietly on the other side of the room, Caine studies the room and its contents, generally overwhelmed and impressed. He had never seen anything like it, the attention to the fine details were exquisite, nothing looking out of place. “It’s like a palace or something...”

    Finding a particularly comfy chair that catches his eye, he wanders over to it, discovering more and more beautiful details. Not really paying attention to where he’s going, he walks straight into a man with a long leather coat and stumbles backwards in shock.

    Slowly he looks up, their eyes meeting, the man smirking at him as Caine’s eyes dart away again, a faint blush appearing briefly on his cheeks. Caine forces himself to look up again as the man speaks to him. “You know, the key to successful walking is not to get distracted, that way you don’t walk into people...”

    Caine remains still, his brain seeming to malfunction. He hated social interaction; even the smallest passing comment would send his heart racing and butterflies crashing around in his stomach. With no Loki to use as a safety net and noticing the frown forming on the man’s face, waiting for a reply, Caine relied on that little female voice inside his head.

    ‘Just apologise, you muppet.’ She whispered harshly, mentally scolding him.

    “Um... I’m really sorry...” He mumbles, unable to maintain eye contact for more than a few seconds. “I’ll pay more attention next time.”

    Real Name: Shonta
    Gender: Female
    Personality: Quiet most of the time, preferring to listen rather than talk. Just a little apathetic when it comes to highly emotional moments but nevertheless friendly. Easily worried.
    ~~ ~~ FORM START ~~ ~~
    (this is the form that appears in the RPG that your character joins)
    Name: Nissi
    Gender: Female
    Race: Human
    Age: 17
    Bodily Appearance: Six feet tall, willowy, and pale. Although she's entirely human, she has what people calls a "fox face". Silver hair tied in a ponytail, thin-framed face, and narrow blue eyes that almost look closed. She has blue markings under her eyes.
    Clothing Appearance: A light blue sleeveless shirt and black, baggy hakama. Two-toed socks (tobi) and straw sandals. She'll have a kitsune mask and a black fan with her but just uses them when she's bored.
    Summon: Kitsune summon. Low: A white, kitten-sized kitsune with two tails. Is kind of harmless except it'll leave little icy spots wherever it walks. Nissi just uses her magic and weapons while she's out. Medium: a white, five-tailed kitsune that's 3'6" at the shoulder. Breathes icy breath and can still freeze anything it touches (and bites). Can also freeze the water particles in the air and make an ice shield. High: a workhorse-sized kitsune with nine tails. Is ridable at this point. Can do everything that it could do in Medium form, plus something that Nissi calls Flash Freeze: strange energy will burst from the summon like a shockwave and freeze anything in a fifty-foot radius, minus those it wants to keep safe.
    Magic: Ice magic. Although she can use the same abilities as her summons, getting more powerful as the summons do, it's awkward for her (i.e. getting her hand stuck to metal). She uses her bow and arrows to channel this power, making ice arrows.
    ~~ ~~ FORM FINISH ~~ ~~
    Changed Personality: Although there isn't really any change, the fact that she's in another world in a "life or death" situation has made her jittery and even more awkward than she was in the real world. She'll try to hide it with humor. But she'll get better as time goes by.
    History: It was created by Kiiah, so no history.
    Other: Um...nothing yet.

    "Damn this stupid project!" I kicked the sphere made of cardboard towards my old dog, who immediately pounced on it (or tried to) like she was a cat. The only thing that saved it was the realization that I was going through all the trouble for a grade. "No! Bad girl!"

    Sassy promptly stopped her assault on my homework and trotted off to bug my mother. I stared at the homemade atrocity for a moment before deciding that I needed a break. My laptop was already displaying TPM in the monitor. All I had to do was press Refresh. "Figures. No updates. Wait..." I checked on the top of my screen.

    A PM? I hardly get these anymore since I have AIM and MSN addresses for a lot of my TPM buddies. I checked the private message to see that it was from a new member and his/her RPG. My interest grew as I read. Surprisingly nice. Most newbies have no talent...no offense.

    It usually takes me a long time to do a good character, especially since I like variance in mine. I ended up making up a woman that could be described as a female Gin Ichimaru. "I always did like Fox Face," I commented as I hit the Reply button.

    The screen went black. I jumped up and scanned the living room to make sure the power wasn't turned off. "What the hell happened?" I asked. I moved my arm to press the Power button on my laptop.

    It froze in mid-trip. Nothing else would move after that. My heart beat in anxiety as the world around me got dark and heavy...

    If I'm dead, I'm going to be seriously pissed. My eyes fluttered open as I got more aware of the shift of temperature. It was strange; although it was clearly very cold, my body didn't feel uncomfortable.

    I'm definitely not in my house anymore. My eyes opened wider as I saw the new pants I was wearing, like part of a guy's kimono. I'm definitely not in my clothes anymore either. More of my consciousness returned, enough to panic when I lifted an arm. Pale white. I'm definitely not in my body anymore!

    Two men barged in the room and turned to me. "Another one is ready to transfer," the one on my left told the other.

    My eyes widened as I heard that. "Transfer where? I'm not going anywhere with you!" My adrenaline shot up as I got to my feet and plowed through the two guys, who didn't seem as tall as I thought. As one of them grabbed my arm, I instinctively grabbed his and got a big shock.

    The goon yanked his arm back in horror. A thin layer of ice covered the area I grabbed. "She is already using her powers!" the second guy exclaimed. "She must be using them instinctively."

    "Calm down, m'lady," the first one said to me while backing me out of the room. "We are not here to harm you."

    "I want answers!" I panted as I backed into a much larger room. I was temporarily blinded by the bright light and colors.

    "And you shall have them, if you are patient." They left me alone.

    I huffed and sat heavily on the floor, feeling exhausted. "What's going on?" I asked myself softly. "I look like a totally different person, and I could swear I almost froze that guy." I didn't know until then that I wasn't alone. There was already a group of people in the big room, looking just as confused as I was.

    Something was trapped between my hakama and my hip (which was a lot slimmer than it was before). I pulled out an elaborate black fan. I wonder what this is for. And... I felt something on the top of my head. A mask. I shrugged and pulled it over my face. Might as well treat it like a costume ball, since no one seems to be what they thought they were.

    (The following is a combo post that both Dr.McNinja and I wrote together for your enjoyment, so that is the reason for the length and amount of dialogue/character controlling. Also Dr.McNinja is posting tomorrow for his other character. :3 OH OH and I drew a quick sketch of Moswen/Naliah so you guys know what she looks like. I forgot that I left that part out in my sign up.. .xD The picture is Here!!.)

    Moswen/Naliah
    [Location: Plyos - the village of Raenor | Both Female ]

    "By the Gods sake, will you BE QUIET!" Moswen shouted in frustration, her hand clasped tightly around the handle of a rather large mug. She brought it to her lips and tilted her head back, downing the liquid as fast as she could as to cause a rush-sort-of feeling.

    "I'm not talking."Marius answered coolly, taking a gentle swig from his own mug. Moswen looked up at Marius with a slightly annoyed glance. However, they had been traveling companions for a few months now- enough for Marius to know that Moswen's annoyance was more with the one inside of her than anything. Ever Marius, Aelfrik, Naliah and Moswen had delved into that forsaken cave... they had been cursed. All four of them.

    "She just won't shut up sometime..." Moswen muttered.

    That's not true! I'm just excited because there is a festival here! A MONTH LONG FESTIVAL! I didn't know some villages DID that! How do they keep eating if the farmer-

    BE QUIET!! Let me drink in peace!!!

    B-but the festival....

    Moswen ordered another round for herself and Marius, even though Marius apparently hadn't finished his mug but Moswen didn't care. While Marius was rather unsociable and she couldn't help but sometimes feel as if she choked on his elitist attitude, she found that Marius was perhaps the most approachable or "nicer" around her. She knew that if he acted the way he did to the locals to her... well, he'd get a pounding indeed.

    "Alright, to business. Now that we've come to the town of Raenor, the mountains of Devna shouldn't be too far. They say that within the peak of Tartyn, there is a cave-"
    "Oh fantastic, another cave."

    "- ahem, a cave that within has a pool of water that has healing properties that could-"

    "I'm sick of blasted caves. How about you go up there with your pal Aelfrik and get a sample of it and bring it back." Moswen grabbed the jar slung about her waist and slammed it upon the table. "Look, I got a jar right here for you."

    NOOO!! That is my jar!! My precious Soul Friend lives in that!

    Marius raised an eyebrow, glancing at the jar with a contemptuous look upon his face.
    "Is that where the 'spirit' lives?"

    Moswen nodded, obviously uncaring as she raised her mug again and practically inhaled its contents. Slamming the mug down with a satisfied sigh, she stretched her arms above her head.
    "I'm sure the spirit is quite thirsty..." Her violet right eye twitched slightly, as her forehead scrunched up slightly in discomfort as Naliah continued to howl away in her head.

    THE SPIRIT IS NOT THIRSTY! LEAVE MY JAR ALOOOOOONE!!!

    Marius could feel Aelfrik's chuckle at Moswen's actions. For once, Marius felt similiar and, not able to resist poking at Naliah's foolish superstition, grasped the jar and stood, his drink half full.
    "Indeed, a glass of water from a little puddle does not require both of us. Do pick up the tab though, would you?" With a half wave of the bottle, Marius strode purposefully from the inn.

    Moswen nodded and admist her drunken stupor, she itched the side of her leg that had been brushing against the table. Then, the realization hit her.
    "Oh shi-"
    -t! Damn it all!

    "MY JAR!" Naliah's energized voice shrieked. She messily rose out of her chair, knocking a mug off the table and sending it shattering to the floor. With surprising (yet sloppy) speed, Naliah flew out from the inn like a panicked bird and plowed into Marius.

    "My Jar! My JAR! Give it BACK!!"
    Marius found himself face down in the dirt, getting a most fascinating view of a tiny earthworm digging its way frantically back into the soil. He sighed heavily as Naliah's hands pried the jar from his grip, the weight of it finally being lifted.

    "If you are quite done crushing my spine, I would most like to get on with this, likely hopeless, little journey."

    Naliah stuck her tongue out at Marius rather childishly, as she sat atop of his back with the purpose of not getting up. Her (or rather Moswen's) plush tail swished about as she fixed the jar about her waist again with a small bit of rope.

    "But you're so squishy!" She teased, once again sticking out her tongue.
    However, at that precise moment in time, Naliah noticed the world around her quickly growing black. Her eyes furrowed in confusion as the darkness blotted out the buildings around her- including the inn - until she couldn't see anything - not even Marius below her.

    What the hell is this? Naliah, go back to the Inn!

    I can't! I can't move!
    It was as if Naliah were frozen- her hands refusing to listen to her willed attempts for it to move. Her head began to grow dizzied and she felt woozy, as the darkness overwhelmed her.

    Then the world returned. Slowly at first, but then quicker as the blackness faded and existance crept back in. Two things sprung into Aelfrik's mind. Where the fuck am I... and who the hell is sitting on me? The half-breed solved the second problem with a quick rising motion - throwing Naliah off of him with a startled yelp as her own vision returned. Aelfrik then paused for a moment, taking in the world around him as he reversed his jacket to hide the hideous opulence that Marius seemed to adore.

    Naliah however, had felt her body fly for a moemnt before coming in contact with a cold, tiled floor- a very rude awakening for her small mind. Her eyes blinked a little as she found herself staring up at an elaborate ceiling- painted with various scenes of legends and lore. After a few seconds, Naliah rose shakily to her feet- her twin-toned eyes fixating on the only thing in the room that she knew.

    "AELFRIK!" She exclaimed, immediately throwing her arms in the air in jubilance. Swiftly she clamped her arms about his torso with an enthusiastic hug. "I don't know where we are! It looks like a castle!"

    Aelfrik reached past Naliah's arms into one of his pockets and removed a small cylinder of paper (conveniently filled with a mild narcotic) and a match. He glanced around for somewhere to light before shrugging and using the sleeve of his coat. Placing the cylinder in his mouth he turned, taking Naliah with him. As he walked, he took in the scene around him and his eyes fixated on one thing in particular - a little girl holding a staff rather awkwardly. A disgusted noise came from his lips for a moment before he spoke.
    "Blackouts, random castles, and now a goddamned annoying little girl! Gods, I hate kids... Hey! Who the hell's in charge around here?!"

    No one replied, but they all looked to Aelfrik with similiar confused gazes and it was quite apparent that they didn't know either. More confusion perhaps settled within their gaze as they watched Aelfrik take a few steps around- all the while having Naliah dragging from his torso, her arms still clamped tightly about his waist.

    "Aelfrik! Aelfrik! This is a castle! That means there must be a King or Queen! OH OH maybe we're in the Half Breed kingdom's CASTLE!? It looks like it from the pretty paintings!"

    Watch how you label us, human.

    Aww Moswen, you're awake!

    Yes, and I'd be careful how you use that word "Half Breed', you understand? Just because we're sharing bodies doesn't MAKE you one.

    But Jar says...

    I don't care what your 'jar' tells you.

    Aelfrik paused for a moment to untwine Naliah from him, taking a quick step away afterwards to avoid her inevitable re-attachment attempt which ended in her grasping air. He too took in the decor, and had to aknowledge that the crazy bottle girl was right- it did look like a castle. With that realization, he took three steps and leaned against the nearest wall. At Naliah's curious gaze, he shrugged.

    "It could be the flying sky castle of the frickin fairy king too, only way we're gonna find out is to wait 'til someone explains this crap to us..." He saw Naliah open her mouth again and he interjected, "Quietly."

    Kalah & Tristan
    Before the RPG

    Kalah yawned inwardly as she fumbled through her small purse for the plastic key to her room. She had just returned from the grocery store across the street after waking up from an afternoon nap and now it was time to put her things away and play some much needed Harvest Moon.

    Absently she grabbed a bottle of apple juice and some beef jerky and grabbed a blanket off her bed. Wrapping it about her legs she plopped down into her chair and wiggled the mouse. Instantly Loki (the name of her computer) came to life, the sound of Captain Picard's voice greeting her as Kamina's eyes stared at her from the background.

    "Hmm... I suppose before I play I should check Aramii and the board." Kalah thought to herself, clicking away. Disappointment flooded her mind as she saw none of her Aramii were born yet, so she quickly clicked to the Pokemasters.

    Nothing seemed to be updated, and outwardly Kalah sighed knowing she had to post in her own RPG soon. Her mind was still complicating how to have Yuuto react to his latest drama confrontation... although too many fantastical and rather enticing images flooded her mind instead. Then, something caught her eye.

    A message, a new message.

    Clicking on it, she wondered absently if it was Ghost again or perhaps Roy asking her something about the News. At that time her AIM popped up- she had received a message from Roy about a new member. Kalah clicked away from the message, figuring she'd reply when she read the message.

    It was odd- a new member joining, messaging people about a new RPG. She read over the plot- a fantasy RPG!

    Kalah grinned- she loved fantasy and it would be yet another RPG for her to do. Quickly she sent an AIM to Goyangeta on her list- also known as Dr.McNinja on the board. He was away currently, but she forwarded him the link to the sign-ups and asked him to join.

    "I better make sure the new comer doesn't mind if he does join..." Kalah thought, shrugging as she began to type up her form. A girl, blonde hair... yadayah. At the end of the sign-up she OOCly asked if it were alright if Dr.McNinja joined as well and then she clicked submit.

    Instantly Loki seemed to shut off and Kalah blinked wildly, her heart sinking into her stomach.
    "No no no... what happened... my computer!" She said, disbelief gripping her. Yet then the white wall next to her seemed to fade into the darkness and the window in front of her followed suit. Blinking in disbelief, Kalah looked about herself as blackness surrounded her like a creeping fog.

    "I don't think this is my asthma..." Kalah thought absently, immediately assuming she was having some sort of medical attack. Instinctively she tried rising to her feet- to get help, but her arms wouldn't move. Her feet seemed to be stuck to the floor and when she tried to speak, nothing came out.

    "What's going on!?" Kalah's mind reeled, before blacking out completely.

    Meanwhile, on Plyos...

    Tristan grinned absently, waving in a mocking fashion to the man below him as he jumped from one roof to the other.

    "CURSE you Shadow! You won't be making away with my stuff!"
    "Oh, come now, your stuff?" Tristan whirled about, holding up the brown linen bag in his hand that hung rather lightly. "Last I checked... you, yourself, stole this from a merchant ship!"

    The man's appearance was dark and distinctions were hard to see by the lack of light given off in the night. Tristan was happy with the fact that the moons were hidden beneath the cloud cover- if he couldn't see the other man well, it meant that he couldn't see Tristan well either.

    Tristan had snuck into the man's "lair" of sorts in an older building and taken an artifact of some importance. Purposefully, however, Tristan had knocked over a few things floor for good measure- making some loud noises that were enough to awaken the man. His name was Bael'thas and he was notorious for hiring the starving poor into stealing a great deal from merchant ships and killing anyone who got in their way.

    "I'm going to KILL you!" He roared, leaping to the same rooftop as Tristan. The two were on top of the cylinder-tiled roofs of the village as it lay dormant, oblivious to the light-footed events happening above.

    "No, I'm afraid I'm going to have to kill you...." Tristan suddenly stopped running and whirled around, dropping the linen bag. Bael'thas seemed shocked as he slid to a stop, his eyes widening.
    "Wait... I thought you were-"
    "Just here to steal your artifact? Well, that's a nice bonus... but I've been hired to cut you down."
    The man opened his mouth to say something, but closed it swiftly as he knew it was useless. The man reached to draw his sword and Tristan placed a hand on his hip, waiting.

    "You're awfully cocky..." The man sneered, suddenly charging forth with his sword before allowing Tristan to answer. Tristan was ready however, as he raised his left arm and slid out his Arabian-esque sword from the hilt strapped upon his back. The man was rushing forth to quickly and Tristan took the opportunity to spring to the side, letting the man go whirling by. With a swift elbow, Tristan knocked the back of the man's head, causing him to fall to the ground and then his left hand came down with the sword- blood spurting into the air as the head rolled off the roof and down to the ground.

    "Fat old bastard." Tristan thought, grabbing the linen bag as he stepped over the guzzling body.
    Tristan began running towards the edge of the roof again, about ready to leap when suddenly it felt as if something seized his body. Instantly he went numb- his body collapsing downward and turning limply into a roll. Darkness began spattering across his vision, until Tristan felt his body go air born as he fell from the roof.

    Currently

    Groaning, Kalah felt sore all over- as if she had gotten side-swiped by a car or ran a marathon without training. She could feel something cool against her lower back and reaching out with her hand, her fingertips felt a cool surfaced floor. Then her eyes fluttered open and blinked, the fuzzy images of her vision slowly smoothing out.

    Where am I... what happened?

    Ahah! I knew something was up!

    Another male voice suddenly proclaimed in Kalah's head, causing her to shriek outwardly.
    "Who-who said that?!" Kalah exlaimed outloud, sitting upright swiftly despite the screaming soreness of her body.

    You don't need to scream! I'm Tristan and... well... I seemed to have lost control of my body. Something that you have control of now.

    "Wait... huh?" Kalah blinked, before she realized that indeed- she was feeling and missing feeling in several parts of her body. She patted herself to find she had no chest- a surprisingly light feeling and of course, there was that odd sensation below within her pants.
    "Oh God... Oh God... I'm a guy... I'm a guy..." She began to stammer, as the voice within her mind sighed.

    Hey, its MY body. Don't go dissing it!

    "Sorry..." Kalah said outloud, before correcting herself.
    Sorry... it's just... a shock...
    I can relate.

    The next few minutes were spent gazing at herself. The tile was highly reflective and she took notice of the red hair, the odd yet appealing clothing and all the little differences about her appearance. She couldn't help but crack a smile.

    You're appearance reminds me a lot of a character I used to create.

    Huh? What do you mean?

    Oh nothing... anyway, do you know where we are?

    Well, no... I'm assuming a castle of some sorts, by the look of things. Although I don't know why I-er, we'd end up in one of the castles.

    Wait...
    Kalah noticed Tristan had a rather odd accent, even from his voice. It was rich and smooth, with a rather elegant yet sharply prim quality to it. She couldn't recognize the nationality and the way he talked about castles....
    Where are you from?

    Uh... well I tend not to relate well to my village roots. I'm a wanderer you see...

    No no, this land... this whole place... you come from is called what?

    Plyos, obviously, why?

    Oh wow...

    A few more minutes of rough explaining led to Tristan discovering that indeed, Kalah was not from Plyos and if they were in Plyos, they were in a whole different world. They couldn't get past in their conversation much more than that, because soon a few people came into the room. They were dressed oddly- in various armor that reminded Kalah of Final Fantasy of sorts in the way they were dressed.

    "Ah, you've awakened. Please, come this way into the throne room. The Queen will be speaking with you soon."

    Kalah was about to ask more questions, but closed her mouth. Perhaps it was just best to wait. So she followed- her gait and walking a little bit off. She wasn't used to the body- it felt foreign, different and she was much taller now. Plus the whole not having a chest thing was odd... and the general idea that this body had far more muscle than she could ever hope for didn't help either.

    The throne room was filled with a great many people, er... things. Several males caught Kalah's eyes- all of them looking rather attractive and it seemed as if two of them had bumped into each other. A small girl with a staff was looking confused... and there was another odd girl, at least- Kalah assumed it was a girl despite hiding behind a mask.

    Oh that's a girl alright. I can tell if someone is a female a mile away. I wonder what she looks like behind the mask...

    Oh geez... anyway, I have a question.

    Hmm?

    We're technically two people in the same body... but people are going to want to know our name. Let's just take yours, okay? Don't even mention me.

    Eh...
    Tristan hesitated, as if not knowing what to think about that but then seemed to accept it. Alright. Just try to act natural!
    ... yeah, I got the guy mentality down. It's just this body is going to take some getting used to!

    I am sure very glad and relief to know that the RPG had not gone that far as I would have expect. It would make things very difficult for me if I would to catch up midway into the plot.

    ** ~ **

    Earth

    It has been a really lousy day. In office, there is a clear confrontation between the Finance department and the department I worked for. I am a clear victim of office politics. Firstly, I was not even the person to be blamed for the mess and is in the end made the scapegoat, just because all I did was to try to help out the other party. Second, I got scolded by the bitch from the Finance department, who was the real culprit, and got blamed because of my so- called 'inexperienced'. But in the end, I did have the last laugh taking into account, I had already plotted on how would I respond to this injustice and humiliation that I had suffered today. But all that past eight hours of extreme drama and plot, make me an even more tired person than usual that evening.

    "Screw that assed bitch!"

    With much frustration, I threw my working bag onto my double- deck bed upon entering my room.

    "Whatever happened to ya, bro? Having a very bad time in office today?"

    My brother, who shared the same room with me, asked me with concern.

    "Hah, its nothing!"

    I muttered a little before proceeding out of the room into the study room, where my laptop is stationed at. I dragged my entire tired body like a zombie strolling down a quiet street. Fatigue had already taken a toll out of me. On top of the drama, I had today. I have like another five more problems to deal with. Of the five, three of which had to do with my planned holiday. Looking into my calender, I smiled a little. A little less than 25 days, I would be out of that wretched office and enjoying my really white winter Christmas elsewhere.

    "Well, time to check on any interesting job offers!" I chuckled with glee and started browsing through my usual sites. Job offerings are really at its all time low, all thanks to the deep economic recession that the entire world is made to go through. Looks like there is not any luck today. Well at least, I had my usual forum to go to and start mingling with the likes of my online friends.

    With much anticipation, I clicked onto the link and a small pop- up triggered me to check my private message. "Which no brainer had messaged me?" Hah, it must be Roy! Or maybe the admins since I have time to time message them on various issues. "Hmm, that is very strange!" Who on earth is this weirdo that invited me into his RPG? I am for once not even a very active RPGer, but then who would want to message a 'parking' moderator?

    (In case if you want to know, a 'parking' moderator refers to a moderator who manages a literal stagnant forum.)

    It was a very lengthy message but the last paragraph caught my eyes,

    "... To thou who is interested in the world of magic and fantasy. Where science and logic doesn't even exist! We welcomed you to a RPG, which promises many to an experience that you will never forget in this lifetime! ... "

    My lifetime? It had already exciting enough with daily eight hours worth of action packed drama. Why would I need another exciting experience? To even further stress out my body further? But then interesting the message even indicated the number of people, who had already joined into the RPG,

    "... Members who have joined since 24 November 2008,

    PokemonLuver
    Roy Karrde
    Bulbasaur4
    classy_cat18
    PoLHaruko-san ..."

    Whoa, that is one freaking list of high profile RPGers. Well, I guessed if these dudes have the time to even join this RPG. I could give it one a go. With much considerations done, I clicked onto the 'OK' button with my mouse right- button click. Upon letting go of my forefinger, my mind went blank and the room looks as if it got eaten up by darkness.

    "What on earth happened?"

    That was my last thought before I know I passed out. What a troublesome day...

    Plyos

    "Argh, my head!"

    The head of mine felt heavy. My movement were stiff. It feels as if I was being induced into a deep sleep and force to awaken. As soon as my motor nerves warmed up, I felt the sudden sting onto my fingers. Frostbites damn!

    "Where am I?"

    I lifted up my hands and started my hair only to find them being cut shorter. Somebody had been messing with my hairdo when I passed out? No way, they even plastered two horns over on my forehead! And what is with the freaking huge biceps? When do I have one of those?

    Come to think of it, it had been years since I have hit the panic button for no reason.

    "You do not have to worry! You are safe here!"

    Someone gave me the assurance. But who was it?

    I turned my head onto the opposite direction and notice ...

    ** ~ **

    This is bad! I started out my RPG without first private messaging anyone. Someone please tag this poor boy here. =(

    ~*~*~*~*~ Coming out of the Daze ~*~*~*~*~

    “Plyos…” I mumbled the words, the name seemed foreign or familiar, as if I had heard it just recently in the past but I just couldn’t place wear. My eyes noticed the flickering of the boy’s tail, and the fox mask of the person in the background. If it weren’t for the flags and beautiful architecture I would say we were at an anime convention. “Sounds… Asian”

    But that didn’t make sense, were we kidnapped and taken to some Asian country? Not to mention all the giants, how did that happen? “Asian?” The cat boy asked, seemingly taken back by the words. I took in several deep breaths, closing my eyes and ignoring the pain in my stomach. At least I had finished sweating and began to warm up from the freezing cold temperatures of the previous room.

    Pushing off the ground I tried to pick myself up with my shaky limbs only to fall back down in failure. “Here.” The cat boy smiled, leaning down and offering a hand. I looked at the hand, and then up at his face, and then back down to the hand. Suddenly my heart was pounding, an electric energy seemed to rush through my body. Why was I acting like this? Why was I treating him like a cute girl?

    These questions rushed through my head as I took his hand, the boy slowly pulling me up. Another lock of blonde hair flashed through my eyes and suddenly my heart was pounding faster. These feelings, Plyos, the hair. I reached up grabbing handfuls of hair and yanking as hard as I could. A sudden shock of pain rushed through me, confirming that it wasn’t a wig. That could only mean one thing…

    I grabbed my chest, the cloth was warm and thick but underneath I could feel…something soft and somewhat small and round in shape. I had… I had become my character… I had become a girl! My mouth opened in horror, moving wordlessly as my eyes remained transfixed in shock.

    Something small, something infuriating was able to push me out of my state of shock and panic. The other guy that was with me, he couldn’t help but have a small smirk on his face, the sound of restrained laughter coming from his throat as if he was trying to hide it. “Don’t laugh.” I grinded my teeth, throwing my fist into a punch, the problem was immediate, I wasn’t six feet tall, I was barely five feet if that, my arms were shorter, so when I swung, my fist just sailed through the air and I ended up tumbling to the ground.

    “God damnit” I swore, suddenly biting back tears, crying? I was actually nearly crying? What the hell was wrong with me? I quickly wiped my eyes with my sleeve, picking myself up off the ground. There was absolutely no freaking way I was going to cry or look weak.

    “Are you okay?” The cat boy asked, his face full of worry as I got up and nodded. I gave him a small smile of reassurance before instantly regretting it. What was I doing? Smiling at a guy? I was a guy!

    The sound of horns instantly drew our attention to the front of the room where the throne sat. A beautiful woman, adorn with jewels and several swaying fox tails walked out in front of the throne, gazing at all of us as we all began to move together in one single group.

    “Sorry… excuse me..” I mumbled, pushing my way past the cat boy and past a massive hulking man with horns on the top of his head. He turned and gazed down at me and I instinctively took a step back. He was huge, his arms, his hands, he looked like he could pick me up and eat me for lunch.

    I quickly stepped to the side and nearly bumped into the person with the fox mask on. “Sorry.” I whispered, turning my attention back to the Queen, only to find that nearly everyone in there was much taller than me. “Mother freaking..” I growled, getting on my tiptoes to try and peek over their shoulders.

    “I am sure all of you are wondering why you are here.” The Queen began, hands clasped in front of her. “I am Queen Kiiah of the Half Breeds, I am here to ask… no… beg you for your help.” Her face suddenly became one of exhaustion in pain, as if she hadn’t slept for days.

    “All of you are great warriors, some from Plyos, some from Earth, our race, our way of life is facing extinction in the face of a overwhelming human army, and we are about to fight a war that we stand no chance to win.” She took a deep breath, her body swaying a bit as if she were about to tip over.

    “I beg of you, take this journey, head to the old library in the village of Raenor, search out the old texts locked away there, and find the land of paradise that is told in our fables. This hidden paradise may be the one location in which our species can flee and remain untouched, from the human hordes. Please journey out in search of it, the fate of a entire race of people rests on you finding it.”

    “I personally think you are taking this entire thing a little too seriously sir…”

    “No, no… You see, taking it a little too seriously would result in a respectable man, such as myself, taking this sword and ramming it through your chest…”

    The item keeper paled, and Iain smiled. He was not about to be ripped off by some man who thinks he can post a mark on an annoyingly hard to find monster and then refuse to pay when Iain returns with its head. For whatever reason this shop owner had decided that it wasn’t worth paying the warrior standing before him, however, he had no support. It was him versus Iain, and Iain would win if it came down to a brawl for gold.

    “Well?” Iain tilted his head; his hand had already reached back to grasp the hilt of the blade.

    “Alright…” The man sighed, eyeing the young man with frustration. He tossed the bag of gold to Iain who smiled and bowed.

    “Thank you, kind sir.”

    Not exactly the most respectable way to earn gold, but I am not one to be cheated… Iain thought, sitting on a rock at the outskirts of a village. He was overlooking a river, with its crystal blue waters and the occasional fish that decided to leap out. One or two had even been grasped by the random osprey. What mark is next…?
    Iain reached into his coat pocket and pulled out a small black book. Well, it was more of a folder containing numerous worn parchments of monsters, and other sorts of nasty creatures people wanted dead. He was just about to open it when he couldn’t move.
    This is a particularly bad time for paralysis to set in… He thought, fighting with all his might to move. Supremely bad… If this had anything to do with that damned item keeper I’m going to-

    Darkness.

    * * *

    He had been in the throne room of sorts for a while: quiet, waiting and watching. Iain wasn’t afraid to speak, it wasn’t that at all. It was the fact that everything was so confusing. People appearing or waking up… Not to mention that foul-mouthed girl which didn’t impress him in the least.

    That’s alright… He thought, shifting his weight so the sword wasn’t digging into his shoulder nearly as much as it had been before. Not everyone has manners, I thought mine needed improving but apparently not. A rough bump dragged Iain out of his muse; looking down in a confused manner he saw another man, the one who bumped into him.

    “You know, the key to successful walking is not to get distracted, that way you don’t walk into people...” Iain smirked, crossing his arms. The other man didn’t reply though, just stood there, as if no one had talked to him before.

    “Um... I’m really sorry...” He mumbled; his gaze seemed to be unable to match Iain’s. “I’ll pay more attention next time.”

    “That’s alright.” Iain replied, trying to not scare the man. “What’s your name?”

    “Um… Be…” He frowned, a confusion expression appearing on his face. “Caine Sevion.”

    “I’m Iain.”

    He looked rather nervous, looking around occasionally before reply. “Nice to meet you…” He paused. “Where do you think we are…?”

    “Not quite sure…” Iain spoke, someone’s castle probably. “But they must want us here for a reason.”

    White is Danielle in control/talking mentally, Silver/Gray is Althalos in control/talking mentally. YAY for being more awake when posting this time. ;D

    Althalos|
    Danielle
    “Not re-”The cat-boy attempted to say something before -who I thought was Ryan- replied to my initial question.
    "I seriously have no fucking clue." 'Ryan' replied, and in the back of Danielle's..well, maybe not her's, head she could hear the other voice be a little shocked at the foul language coming from a child. The cat-boy seemed to have the same reaction as the 'man inside her head'(or Althalos), his kitty ears perking up.

    “This is Plyos.”The cat-boy answered our question, and at the name Danielle looked up at him, as well as 'Ryan'. He smiled at 'Ryan', then continued,“That’s all I can really tell you, I don’t know exactly where in Plyos we are, I woke up here a few minutes ago. Do you have amnesia or something?”

    'Yeah, do you? I mean..everyone knows what planet this is..'The man inside her head spoke, a bit matter-of-factly.
    'I guess you can say that I'm not from this world then.'Danielle replied, sighing mentally.'Although that name sounds familiar..'She thought back, and although her memory wasn't the greatest, remembered that Plyos was the name of the planet in the RPG. Did that mean that who she was inside was...? 'Anyway, I didn't ask. What's your name?'
    'Althalos.'The male voice, Althalos, responded.'I don't know why you're in my body, but there has to be a good reason, right?'
    '..Probably.'Danielle tried to think back on to the plot of the RPG the newbie posted, but only bits and pieces came to her.'My name is Danielle, by the way.'
    'It's a bit foriegn..'
    'Then call me Dani, I don't really care.' She sighed again, mentally. It was almost a certain then, that this world was connected somehow to the RPG the newbie made. Either by sheer coincedince or by purpose, she had landed into the fantasy land that the RPG described and in the body of the character she 'made'. Although if this world existed before the RPG, it was probably a sheer coincidence that she landed in someone with the same name and just about the same looks as her 'made up character'.

    'Can you stop thinking? I'm going to get a headache..'Althalos' voice spoke up, and Dani chuckled a bit to herself. Getting up and streching, Althalos' legs shook a little bit, Danielle just a little bit in shock from the height. But looking over at 'Ryan' almost provided instant comedic relief. 'He' snagged bits and bits of 'his' long blonde hair, as if to confirm it wasn't a wig. Once confirmed, 'he' grasped a bit and checked his chests, and found the small prepubescent breasts underneath the robe 'she' was wearing. Her mouth opened a bit in shock, and Danielle could barely hold it in anymore. Smirking and attempting not to laugh, Danielle watched the now female Ryan get infuriated with her reaction.
    "Don't laugh.."Words came through the clenched teeth of 'Ryan's' mouth, and in a futile attempt, tried to throw a punch at 'him'.

    'You're not a very nice person, are you?'Althalos responded to his 'female' half's reaction to the small girl finding out she was a she.
    'I was never asked to be nice.'Danielle replied sarcastically, to confirm Althalos' suspicion of her. She could be nice when she wanted to, or in front of someone she didn't know; but otherwise her sarcastic tone gave away her true persona.

    'Ryan' was assisted by the cat-boy, Danielle saw and then shrugged. Almost as if she was bored, she loosened her grip on the control and allowed Althalos to control, finally.

    '
    I'm bored, you can continue from here.'She shrugged, and grew a bit relaxed in the body as Althalos - who almost fell from the shock of regainning his body - regainned his posture. When he went to go and try to talk to someone else in the room to cheer him up, the horns in the front of the room blew loudly as if to signal the incoming prescence of royality. Attempting to get a good look at who was coming, he was a bit intimidated at the other people here - besides the girl Danielle seemed to make fun of. Especially the man with the huge build and horns on his head. Others were a bit more curious looking, including one with a fox mask on and another with a jug attached to her hip.

    A woman, adorned in fine jewelery and several fox tails started to walk to be infront of the throne, her motions of elegance but of someone obviously tired. From the paintings and this royal person - most likely the queen -, Althalos deducted that this palace was most likely in the Half-Breed lands.

    “I am sure all of you are wondering why you are here.” The queen started to talk, clasping her hands infront of her as she introduced herself. “I am Queen Kiiah of the Half Breeds, I am here to ask… no… beg you for your help.” Her face confirmed what Althalos saw from when she walked in, that she was obviously exhausted.
    “All of you are great warriors, some from Plyos, some from Earth, our race, our way of life is facing extinction in the face of a overwhelming human army, and we are about to fight a war that we stand no chance to win.” She took a breath in, her body almost ready to give way and collaspe under the lack of sleep. Althalos had no prejudice against half-breeds, much like his retired knight [adoptive]father and magus mother. In the back of his head, watching through his eyes, Danielle seemed to held no prejudice against them either, although she chucked at the queens speech of 'great warriors'.

    'What, you do not have any warriors in your world?'Althalos commented, almost wanting to add 'manners' as well.
    '
    We have an army, but they're soldiers and we don't have random people picking up the sword and chivalry.'
    'And would you, given the chance?' He asked, and received no response from her. Maybe it was best that she didn't.

    “I beg of you, take this journey, head to the old library in the village of Raenor, search out the old texts locked away there, and find the land of paradise that is told in our fables. This hidden paradise may be the one location in which our species can flee and remain untouched, from the human hordes. Please journey out in search of it, the fate of a entire race of people rests on you finding it.”The queen seemed to get more relaxed as she finished asking the people around Althalos and himself.

    '
    We don't have much a choice, seeing as how we're here now and not where we both were prior to this.'Danielle stated, matter of factly. Althalos agreed, although in the back of his thoughts, maybe he would discover or unlock parts of the past he so wished to remember if he went.

    Tristan and Kalah

    Time had passed and they were escorted out of the castle to a rather large stall filled with assorted foods and items. There their escorter talked to the owner of the stall and paid him a rather handsome amount of gold to allow their entire party to "gear up" for the journey ahead. They also were each given a small portion of gold in which to help fund their travels. Then, the escorter left them to their fate.

    "I don't know where to begin..." Kalah said loudly, scratching the back of her (or his, rather) head as she (or he, rather) looked at all the items.
    "True..." The girl behind a mask said, with a nod. "We don't know how long we'll be traveling."

    I'd help, but we're on the half-breed continent... I have no idea where anything is over here...
    "OOOOHHHH!!!" Suddenly a girl exclaimed, causing Kalah to jump with a start and turn her head. The girl who had made such a loud noise had delicate-looking orange, fox-like ears and a thick furred tail. It was odd- her demeanor, everything about her was rather ... energetic and youthful, which seemed very contrasting against her appearance.

    "WE can help!" The girl said with a grin, reaching out and grabbing the dark coat of the man next to her. Tugging on his coat caused him to turn around and look at the others, his eyes showing little emotion as he sighed with exasperation.

    "Calm down Naliah..." He said roughly, plucking what seemed to be a cigarette-looking object from his lips and blowing out some smoke.
    "How are you going to help?" The small girl piped up, although she paled and seemed to cower when the man looked at her with a disgruntled expression.

    That guy is a beast...

    Huh? What do you mean? The guy over there with the horns, now HE looks like a beast! I'll admit though... the smoking guy seems ... well... heh... he's rather...

    Okay, leave your girl fantasies out of my mind please. Anyway, I'm ... well, let's just say I'm an experienced fighter. And I can tell, THAT guy is experienced... the way he holds himself, his demeanor- it completely reminds me of my old trainer... except there's a quality there that I can't seem to-

    Yeah yeah, I get the picture. It's odd though... it seems like he knows that strange bottle girl already though. Aren't we all sort of random? I mean... I don't know anyone...

    Maybe they're all messed up of sorts like we are with the whole body thing.

    Ugh, maybe... this is too confusing...

    Want me to take over a bit for now? I think I can... a few times when you seem to get tired or off into a daze, I feel... well, stronger I suppose.

    Sure, be my guest... this whole world just... needs to sink in a bit for me.

    "So yeah, how are you going to help? Know anything about this side of the world?" Tristan's smooth voice said confidently as he took a step forward. The smoking man grunted slightly, a curved smile growing on his face.

    "Yeah, I've already traveled to the village of Raenor... a pretty shitty journey."
    "We can show you where to go!!" The bottle girl spoke up with a grin. "It's only a few days!!"
    "Sounds like a plan." Tristan turned to the group- quite a cast they had here. A small girl, a woman behind a mask, some fox girl, a cat guy, a big guy with horns, another guy who looked slightly similiar to cat boy, another strong looking fellow next to him AND a guy dressed in blue with a rather impressive looking weapon about him. Quite a cast indeed.

    Too many guys here for my taste...

    Not for mine!

    Let me remind you that you're in MY body...

    ....

    WHAT THE HECK?! Keep your damn visuals to yourself!! GEEZ... uuugh...

    Tristan's outward face looked mortified for a second, before finally he shook his head and regained his composure.

    "So anyway, perhaps we should all introduce ourselves before we get our supplies? I'd like to know at least my companion's names, so I will start by telling you mine! I'm Tristan and-"

    Remember, WE'RE Tristan.

    "-annnnd so what about everyone else?"

    "Oh OH OH OH!" The fox girl bounced up and down excitedly, "I'm Naliah!! AND this is Mr Spirit!" She grabbed the jar about her waist and held it up brightly. Instinctively, Aelfrik took his hand and pushed Naliah from behind so that she tripped and fell flat on her face. One of the guys in the group opened his mouth as if to speak up- he HAD pushed a girl after all- but hesitated for a moment.

    "... and I'm Moswen." The girl had stood back up, but... her voice was far different. Smoother, more sultry... it sounded like a woman, not like the energetic girlish voice from before.
    That's odd. Our voices don't change when we switch...

    "If you're all wondering, I... well, we had a little incident. Naliah and I... well, Aelfrik here too." She motioned to the looming figure of the smoking black jacketed half breed, "We're natives of Plyos and were exploring a cave when... well, an unfortunate incident caused some of our bodies to merge. We've been like this for ... well, months now."

    "The annoying prick I merged with is called Marius." Aelfrik offered. Moswen nodded, although she knew Aelfrik was probably wondering why she had offered so much information.
    "I just wanted to explain, so that it wouldn't startle any of you in the future." Moswen shrugged.

    That's interesting... so they were merged even before this incident.

    At least they're the same genders...

    Nissi - Masked Fox Face

    "I suppose I'll need a weapon to defend myself. Since I haven't gained any arm strength, swords are out of the question," I muttered to myself. I picked up an arrow and studied it, noticing how the icy wind that seemed to emanate from my hand surrounded the arrow. "I'll take a quiver of arrows and that bow."

    The storekeeper nodded and gave me the items. I noticed that some of my companions were glancing at me, especially the little girl. "You haven't told us your name yet," the little girl told me.

    "And you haven't taken off that mask yet," Tristan added.

    I'm in a new body, most likely the body that I created for the RPG. Good thing I decided to play a girl. "I'm sorry for being so rude," I said softly. "I just didn't feel very comfortable with people looking at me in this body."

    With shaking hands, I pulled the mask back and revealed my face. "You can call me Nissi." It was the name that I gave my RPG character.

    No one was horrified although I knew I wouldn't give myself an ugly face. But I didn't know how I would actually look. But a look in a reflective piece of armor gave me my answer. Wow. My face really does look like a fox. I grinned widely, giving me a very Gin-like appearance.

    "Anyone else in there?" the little girl asked in a sarcastic tone.

    "No, I have this body all to myself." I gave a nervous laugh as I felt my face get warm. Great, I was also a blusher.

    The group went back to their shopping and I busied myself with gathering first-aid supplies. But the little girl just wouldn't stop staring. With all the cursing she did earlier, there was almost no doubt that she wasn't a girl on Earth. "Do I know you?" she finally inquired.

    I can't risk anyone figuring out who I am. It'll save myself from unnecessary drama. I gave her an small smile and pulled out the fan. "You don't need to know that," I said playfully as I opened the fan and covered half of my face, then closed it and laughed.

    ~*~*~*~*~ Shocked, Annoyed, and Frustrated ~*~*~*~*~

    I hated asking questions, and the truth was I hated prying into people's lives. But for some reason, some agonizing reason I couldn't stop myself, as if I were just compelled to ask this Nissi questions. "My name is Ryan." I replied, Nissi turned gazing at me in shock, a small shudder rolling off me. "It is supposed to be Adalia I think but..." The words trailed off, I didn't want to go by a girl name, it seemed so... final like I was accepting being a girl.

    "First Computer I find I am sooo changing this sign up." Mentally wincing at how the so part came off sounding like a annoyed child. I could still feel Nissi's eyes upon me, and for a moment I wondered if she was from Earth too. As far as I knew I was the only one from Earth here, but it was comforting to think that I was not the only one.

    "I guess this is mine, it's..." I grasped the staff in my hand after picking it out, quickly stopping myself from adding the words 'pretty'. "okay enough..." My eyes shifted around noticing others picking out various deadly weapons, everyone else was carrying. Why couldn't I have at least insisted on a dagger or small sword?

    As I moved away from Nissi I could again feel eyes gazing on my back. Half expecting the laughing boy I tried to punch from before, I spun around to find the cat boy looking at me. I gave him a small smile waving slightly with my fingers before catching myself and taking off.

    Any place, any where would have been better than with a boy that made me feel... very wierd. Except... one place, and funny enough I had turned and walked directly toward that place in my haste to get away. Standing there directly in front of me I found myself within distance of three guys, the guy with horns, the guy I punched, and a guy I had never seen before with red hair and swords.

    I glanced back to see the cat boy heading in my direction, if I didn't do something quick I would be surrounded... surrounded by boys, maybe if the Cat boy saw me talking to some one he would head off. "Hey!" I shouted as loud as I could in the direction of the three.

    The first one to turn was the guy I punched, a look of regret on his face. "Hey listen I'm sorry about..."

    I quickly took the opportunity and stepped forward not caring if the other two heard. "Hey my name is Ryan what's yours?"

    The clouds had gathered, dark and roiling, prepared and tensed to release on command. The audience was set, the residents of the castle town, their worries and cares about to be taken away on the winds on his masterpiece. The Maestro hovered, the ominous wind blowing his fine clothing around his thing frame, his arms crossed in front of him, his head down, his eyes closed. He floated above a large, flat field outside of the town, one in which nothing of value would be destroyed in the midst of genius. A calm smile wreathed his face as he felt the powers growing at his fingertips. Every once and again a stray flicker of electricity would dance up his arms or legs, the tingle of its passing matching the quivering of his heart. His hair fell gracefully around his shoulders as he opened his eyes and raised his head. His arms came outward, taking a practiced position slightly bent and upraised, his hands prepared for direction.

    “Ladies and gentlemen, may I present to you my Fifth Symphony in C.”

    That statement, magnified just enough to be heard across the city, had barely passed the ears of the listeners when the heavens erupted. Throwing both hands into the sky, the Maestro called down a torrent of rain that even in its chaos maintained a rippling melody as it rang against the ground. Backed by the rumbling percussion of thunder, the Masetro began his performance, his eyes blazing a ferocious blue as he hovered in the midst of the storm.

    ~~~~~~~~~
    The Maestro clenched his hands, his teeth gritted against the whirling hail that he had summoned. His hair billowed out around him as his expensive garb threatened to tear and fray in the whipping wind. Lightning flashed from his hands to the sky, from the sky to the ground, from seemingly every direction in perfect harmony with the roaring thunder. Anyone listening could not help but hear the order amongst the chaos, the repeating strains of, sometimes remarkably subtle, melody twisted around a greater harmony of absolute disorder. A twister twirled about the open field, changing the pitch of the hail as it threw it about and letting off its own mournful note. He held the music for a long moment, the entire fury of the storm thrown into but an instant of perfection before, with a gasp, he released the magic and slumped in the air. The storm, no longer held together by the Maestro’s magic, dissipated in the space of a minute and the drained musician drifted slowly to the ground where he slumped against a rock, laughing weakly in celebration of his performance.
    “Beautiful, magnificent, glorious they will say. Ah, what joy art brings when so flawlessly executed.”
    The man lay wearily, breathing raggedly as he fought to gain the energy to stand.
    Althalos|
    Danielle
    After uncertain amount of time after the queen spoke, the group was brought to a stall with food, weapons and supplies. Looking around like a lost puppy, Althalos looked in the weapons rack, hoping to find something.
    '
    And what are you looking for?'Danielle grumbled as he continued to go through the weapons, studying the poles or hilts on each.
    "My halberd! It has to be here.."Althalos let out, too busy caring for his weapon to remain quiet. After a minute or so of sorting the weapons, a smile lit up on his face and he snagged a halberd from the rack. It's pole was black with encarved runes and there was a red tassle between the blade and pole itself. Hugging it slightly, he kept hold on it as he continued to look for something else; this time away from the weapons.
    '
    Is that weapon really that special? Why couldn't you use something else?'Danielle sighed, forgetting the part of her sign up about Althalos' magic and weapon. He rolled his eyes as he spotted his leathery sack on a shelf, and picked it up. Reaching inside, he took out a silver tassel rope in which he attached to a small hook near the base for the blade as near the bottom of the pole. After situating it, he took out a small leathery cloth in a weird shape, and placed it around the blade. Smiling simply, he placed the weapon on his back.
    'It's the only weapon that I can use my magic well on. I can use other weapons, but it wouldn't have the same effect as this blade.' Althalos explained as he looked back inside the lether sack he always kept with him."A bit low on jerky.."He nodded, ignoring Danielle as he walked over to the food, looking for things to stuff his backsack with. He kept a reserved ear as the group seemed to start introducing themselves.
    "-annnnd so what about everyone else?"The one names Tristan nudged everyone to introduce themselves. Although Althalos could be social and carefree when he wanted to, his mind was being a bit more simple as his stomach started to grumble.
    "Oh..OH OH OH!"A Fox-halfbreed jumped up in down,"I'm Naliah, and this is Mr.Spirit!"She snagged the jug that was holstered on her waist, and held it up. Almost as instantly as she held it up, another guy in the group - one in a black jacket - pushed her hard enough so she tripped, landing on her face. Looking a bit shocked at the rudeness of how he pushed her, Althalos went to say something before being interrupted. The girl who was pushed stood up, in a much more dignified pose than before.
    "...and I'm Moswen."She said, her voice more smooth and woman like than the sugary girl voice she had before.
    'I wonder if they're like us..'Althalos wondered, looking at the woman as he thought about the possibility.
    '
    Our voice didn't change before when I let you take control.'Danielle explained, albeit she was curious about them as well. Did that mean there were others that ended up in someone elses body instead of getting a 'new' body, like Ryan and his child-female's body. As if to answer both of their questions, 'Moswen' continued.
    "If you're all wondering, I... well, we had a little incident. Naliah and I... well, Aelfrik here too." She motioned to the figure behind her, the black jacketed individual who pushed her down prior, "We're natives of Plyos and were exploring a cave when... well, an unfortunate incident caused some of our bodies to merge. We've been like this for ... well, months now."
    "The annoying prick I merged with is called Marius." 'Aelfrik' said, although he looked at Moswen with a curious stare.
    "I just wanted to explain, so that it wouldn't startle any of you in the future." Moswen shrugged.
    Everyone went around and introduced them selves, despite Althalos' stomach commanding his thoughts as he finally found a few other things worthy in being in his pear-shaped sack. The female with the mask on her face was named Nissi, and the small girl that Danielle picked on before was named "Adalia", although she commented that her name prior was Ryan.
    '
    Aha! Victory!'Danielle thought with a smug sense of victory. Althalos sighed at the attitude of Danielle, and rolled his eyes.
    'If you're not going to apologize to her for before, I will.'
    '
    That's no fun!'
    As if almost on cue, he heard Adalia/Ryan's voice from behind, and turned around to respond to her. Althalos' face showed that at least he was sorry for the way his female half acted before.
    "Hey, I'm sorry about before.."He uttered out before being interrupted by 'Adalia'.
    "Hey!My name is Ryan, what's yours?"She smiled, using her male 'other-world' name. The way she replied was rushed, almost as if she was trying to escape something or someone.
    "I'm Althalos."He replied, curious as if he should include Danielle in his introduction.
    "Cool name, I guess."She replied, looking over her shoulde in a bit of paranoia.
    '
    Haha, is ryan trying to avoid the cat..'Danielle thought, forgetting his name for a second,'Loki? Probably makes him feel more like a girl..'She laughed at the thought, and Althalos sighed at how rude she was, even if only he could hear it.
    “Geez, why does she have to be so annoying..”Althalos mumbled, just about loud enough for Ryan to hear.
    “Excuse me, but who are you freakin’ talking about?”Ryan growled, emphasizing on ‘freaking’. A bit taken back, Althalos ran his hand through his hair.
    “Not you..”He replied, sighing.”Just..”He added, pointing to his head, attempting not to identify Danielle to Ryan but to signal that there was someone else inside of him.
    “So, someone else is in there then?”Ryan replied, still a bit furious even though Althalos’ first comment wasn’t aimed at her.In the back of his mind, he could her Danielle yelling at him, attempting to keep her identity a secret so she could get some amusement.
    “Uh..well, kinda..”Althalos tried to avoid a direct response, biting his lower lip.
    ~Caine Sevion and Loki Kinoshita~
    Caine chuckled, watching Loki chasing after the little girl that had introduced herself as Adalia. He was a strange boy, no doubt he was about to make a fool of himself in some way. Caine preferred to remain quiet, in the background of such social interactions. This, however, was proving difficult as the little female voice inside his head chipped in with little conversation starters as he stood with Iain.
    ‘My name is Becki, by the way.’ The voice tells him, seeming a little annoyed. ‘And I’m trying to help, not hinder...’
    Rolling his eyes, he turned his attention back to Iain, who seemed a little bored. They had the supplies, the weapons and food, so why weren’t they leaving? Iain’s sword caught his eye, the hilt in particular with its intricate details. “Wow... That’s one fancy sword...”
    “Thanks.” Iain replied simply, much to Becki’s annoyance. “We appear to be leaving.” He nods in the direction of the others, beginning to follow them.
    Caine frowns as his brother hangs back from the rest, waiting for him. “Caine, that stupid girl voice is making me follow the blonde girl, what’s her name? Adalia? Yeah, well anyway, she claims she knows her? I really don’t understand.” Loki rambles, the new person catching his eye. “Who is that? I forget...”
    Sighing, frustrated at his sibling’s small attention span, he answers. “This is Iain.” He grabs hold of his sleeve, pulling him closers and whispers. “Apparently the voice’s name is Becki. There’s no need to tell anyone about her, alright?”
    Loki shakes his arm free, frowning. “She says she doesn’t like you anymore. Why shouldn’t we tell anyone? There must be others here with the same situation as us.” He glances up at Iain, who appears to have an amused smirk on his face. “Something funny?”
    “You’re brothers, I guess?” Iain questions, looking between the two, their only real similarity being the colour of their hair. “How does that work?”
    “It’s complicated.” Loki answers, grinning as Caine glares at him, knowing that it would be the exact answer that he would give to that question. He always did, after all. “That’s what he would say. It doesn’t really matter, we just are.”
    The time it took to get out of the town seemed to pass by quite quickly, the three of them at the back of the group. Caine smirked as he caught Loki occasionally watching this Adalia girl, deciding that even if it was Becki invading his mind, it was quite amusing. Something didn’t really seem right about her, especially the language she used. The track they followed was clearly one just worn into the grass by carriages and people, with dirt being kicked up with every step they took. Some people occasionally stumbled as a result of it.
    “Who are we following exactly?” Loki asks, breaking the uneasiness between them.
    Iain shrugged, clearly having no clue. He was obviously from the human continent. “Isn’t this the path to Raenor?” Caine asked, frowning as Loki’s ears perked up, clearly not paying attention to him. “Why would we go to Raenor?” He continued, regardless. “I suppose there is that library...”
    “Someone’s coming.” Loki states, squinting at some little figures in the distance. “About 7 or 8, I think.”
    Sure enough, as they continued down the path, they met with a small group of tired looking soldiers. Each half breed had a large build, well defined muscles, especially their upper bodies, each carrying a rifle and other weapons that seemed to be of their own choice. They were all particularly menacing animals, Loki noted, including big cats, wolves, dogs and one rough looking bear that lead the group. He was much taller than the others, standing at what must have been at least 6 foot 5 inches, maybe more. His face was bruised and scarred; his eyes a golden yellow and his teeth were rather large and pointy. His fingernails may as well have been small claws. Please don’t cause any trouble... Loki thought, attempting to avoid any eye contact as they tried to pass.
    “You, half breeds.” The bear spoke, his voice deep, gruff and commanding, almost loud enough to be a bellow. “Why are you travelling with these monkeys?”
    A nerve twitched in Loki’s mind, a quiet growl sounding from his throat. He felt Caine’s eyes upon him, knowing full well he was trying to beam him a message of “calm down”.
    “Monkeys?” Adalia questioned, much to almost everyone’s surprise. Her voice almost seemed to have an air of curiosity about it. “Who are you calling monkeys?”
    At this point, it was almost clear who was from Plyos and who was not. Those from Plyos seemed uneasy, really not appreciating the little girl’s outburst, especially considering the sheer size of the bear, let alone the other soldiers. The others looked terribly confused, thankfully remaining quiet.
    The bear approached the little girl, casting a shadow over her as he towered over her. She began to look a little scared as it dawned on her just what she may have got herself into. “What planet are you from, drutch? All humans are stupid monkeys, infact, they are worse than monkeys.”
    “What did you call me, freak?” Again, Adalia questioned, this time the curiosity replaced with anger.
    “After we return from battle, losing to your damn monkey army, you dare to speak to me like that?” The bear’s voice really was bellowing now, but Adalia’s expression seemed to remain confident, even if she was beginning to shake with fear. “Maybe I should teach you a lesson, drutch.”
    “Don’t call her that!” Loki called, much to Caine’s horror, as he stepped forward, his hand gripping the hilt of his sword.
    The bear’s expression changed to an evil smirk as he chuckled. “We have a monkey lover, chaps.” This statement caused his companions to, some of them literally, roar with laughter. As they calmed down, he spoke again. “I suppose that nervous wreck of a dreg behind you is also a friend of yours?”
    Loki’s growl was louder this time, his canine teeth showing. “He’s my brother.”
    Another roar of laughter erupted from them, finding the whole situation hilarious. The bear leaned down to Loki’s level, their eyes locked in mutual glares, inches away from his face. “Then you are no better than the other monkeys.”
    “Hey idiots!” Adalia’s voice rang out, breaking the glaring match as they both turned to look at her. “I was talking to you! Or were you too deaf, blind and stupid to notice?”
    Enraged, the bear stands to his full height, taking his rifle and taking a swing at her head. With the rifle butt a few inches from hitting her, Loki’s instincts kick in. He grabs the rifle in the middle, ignoring the pain shooting up from his hands from the impact, flips it over and smacks the bear clean across the cheek, the heavy rifle butt making a satisfying thwack noise as it makes contact.
    “Shit...” Loki mutters, the bear rubbing its jaw as it regains balance, its golden yellow eyes looking more furious than ever. “Help?”
    Quickly, Caine pulled Adalia out of the way of another rifle as the soldiers began to attack, sighing and trying to get to a safe distance to use his magic without being beaten to a pulp.
    Okay, so we're all being attacked by big scarey half breed guys! Drutch is a racist term for a human female, dreg is a racist term for a human male, and monkey is basically a generalised racist term for humans! (atleast, that's how I understand it!)
    Nissi/Shonta
    Currently traveling with group
    My mask was back up by the time we started back to traveling. For now, I was content on standing back and observing everyone until I knew who's who. Considering how some people were actually two-in-one, it was going to take a while.
    Okay. Adalia or Ryan, Naliah/Moswen, Tristan... I took a good look at the last guy. Heh. He looks like someone that Kalah would put together. Maybe I shouldn't bring that up. Don't want to risk being wrong.
    Naliah/Moswen walked beside me with a wide smile. "Why d'ya have that mask on again?" she asked me innocently.
    By the tone of her voice, I could easily tell that it was Naliah that was speaking. I struggled with an answer. "Because...I want to wear it since I have it."
    "You're going to trip and fall! C'mon, take it off!" She reached for it but I stepped away from her.
    "I'll take it off when I feel like it."
    "I'll let you say hi to my dragon spirit!" She held up her jar.
    I momentarily questioned the girl's sanity. "I'd rather leave it alone right now."
    "Awwww!" She fell back and went to bothering someone else. I glanced at the amused Althalos and shrugged.
    Maybe the fact that we have such a bizzare group will make it less likely for me to be dragged through some kind of drama. Oh man, the last Adalia was such a brat... I rubbed my forehead as I felt the oncoming headache.
    The group slowed down as a group of Half Breed soldiers approached. The whole lot of them looked nasty, especially the bear. He called the humans "monkeys", making me feel I was on Planet of the Apes.
    Adalia decided to make the matter worse by mouthing off to them. Oooh, them's fightin' words.
    While Loki was busy with the bear, the other soldiers dispersed and took on the rest of us. I was unlucky enough to be paired with a wolf. "What's with the freaky mask?" he sneered. "You tryin' to be one of us?"
    I would've said some smartassed comment but I was too busy shaking. "I-I don't w-w-want trouble," I stammered.
    The wolf growled and snatched the mask from my face. I yelped and reeled back. "You can hide your face but not your scent, monkey!" His other hand shot out and clenched around my neck.
    "Nissi!" Adalia cried out.
    I'm not dying now! My eyes seemed to glow with malice as I clutched the wrist attached to the hand choking me. The wolf gawked as ice formed around it and creeped up towards his shoulder.
    "What are you doing?" he demanded. "Get your hands off me, monkey!"
    "Don't make me throw my crap at you," I snarled.
    His whole arm was frozen. His torso was next. "Filthy drutch!"
    "Crotch licker!" I raised my arm and brought it down hard on his elbow, breaking his arm in two. I smirked as he screamed in pain in horror. "Your head's next!"
    He growled loudly and drew his sword with the remaining arm. I quickly pulled an arrow from my quiver and drew my bow. "Feeling lucky?"
    His arm hung in the air. I grinned and pulled the arrow back. "You must be feeling weak from the blood loss. How about I ease your pain?" I released the icy arrow and buried it in between his eyes. Ice spread from the wound and around his head in a matter of seconds. The rest of the body quickly followed. "Whoo! Who's next?"
    ~~~^|v|<|>-Rayna Faber =:= Bubbly Awakening-<|>|v|^~~~

    I sat at a table in a small café in the center of town. Before me was a spread of small baked goods and exquisite drinks. As I sipped at a cup of lavender-jasmine green tea, Nero was perched on the edge of the table next to me, nibbling happily on a raspberry coffee cake. “Isn’t this fantastic, Nero? I’ll have to come back here next time we decide to picnic.” I chimed, reaching out to pet his furry head. “This city is so beautiful. Especially that palace! I wonder how we got there in the first place. Any ideas?” I questioned, as Nero turned to me and cocked his head to the side. “I know, but it’s ok! We can enjoy our little outing.”

    It seemed like a mere fragment of memory as I recalled on the events I last remembered. Nero and I were chopping vegetables for dinner. I had stepped outside to get some potatoes from the garden and as I knelt down to pull them up, darkness suddenly blurred my vision and an “Oh my...” escaped my mouth as I collapsed to the ground. Next thing I knew, I obliviously came to in a large chamber. Curious as to where I was, especially in a room of unconscious people, I decided to explore and ended up here, in what the civilians have told me is the half-breed capital and Queen Kiiah’s home palace of Erevaana.

    Across the way from the small coffee shop, was a large blacksmith hut, various weapons and metal works displayed outside. From down the street, a large group migrated toward it, some equipped with weapons, others empty handed, as royal soldiers persuaded the owner with a large sum of gold, which he eagerly accepted. As the crowd approached, I easily noticed several of the more unique costumes from the throne room. “Oh look, Nero, everyone decided to join us.” I declared, pointing him towards the people. He turned his head, sniffed the air, and let out a series of squeaks that just sounded ecstatic. You see, Nero loves people; especially groups, which he can jump and wander between. “Once we finish here, perhaps we should introduce ourselves.”

    Shortly after I finished my cup of tea, the young, bluebird half-breed waiter returned to my table with the bill. “Have a great day, ma’am!” He said in a near-warbling tone. I smiled warmly back at him as I took the stub from his feathered hands. “Come back soon!”

    “I surely will! Nero, leave the man a nice tip.” I lightly giggled as Nero dug his nose into the small satchel I kept shoved in my right boot. He pulled out a large golden coin, worth a ‘pretty penny’, as the phrase goes, and climbed up the boy, setting it on his shoulder. He happily smiled, put his hand up, grabbing the coin and letting Nero climb on, and passed him back to me. “That should cover the bill. Keep the rest for yourself.”

    “Thank you, ma’am!” He exclaimed, brightly sauntering back to the register. We gathered our things from the table and stepped out into the street, turning back to wave goodbye to the shop employees once more.

    “Now... Where did that large group of people go?” I asked quizzically, bringing a finger to my face and cocking my head to the side. Nero jumped down to the ground, sniffing and ‘tasting’ a charm lying next to a sword display. I reached down and picked up the object, questioning “What’s this? It looks like a moon charm. Did someone in that big group drop it?” Nero suddenly squeaked and took off running down the thoroughfare, towards the Erevaana main gates. “I see. A game of tag it is!” I grinned, leaping forward into a straight run behind the furry rodent.

    In short time, we were long outside the city limits. The rolling hills glinted and wavered as the breeze flooded across the grass; a beautiful sight indeed. But beyond the crest of one hill, low snarls and hollering were carried by the wind. “It sounds like someone met a furry wild animal over there. Let’s go check it out, Nero.” I said to the chinchilla, slightly panting from our chase. As we moved closer, the noise became louder. “My! They sound like they’re having an awful lot of fun. And they didn’t invite us?”

    We peaked over the ridge just before all the commotion. The large group seemed to be scrapping with what looked like a squadron of half-breed soldiers. “Dear me... This doesn’t look good. I hope nobody gets hurt playing so roughly.” I squatted myself down behind a rock and peered over the top, Nero doing the same from a perch on my shoulder. Suddenly, the bear-like warrior lurched forward with the butt of his rifle, but was cut short as a cat boy from the group leapt in, countered, and hit the bear its own weapon.

    Fighting then broke out between the groups in an uproar of screams, roars, and battle noises. I sighed quietly, “This will never do on such a beautiful outing.” Reaching for my boot leg, I pulled out a small, flask-like bottle and unscrewed the lid. “Bubbles make everyone happy! Ready, Nero?” I asked, a chatter of squeaks coming from my side, and I smiled.

    I brought the lid to my mouth, a stick with a cluster of circles at the end protruding from the inside edge. I took a deep breath and gently blew through the holes, creating a near-cloud of bubbles that floated across the field. As they migrated through the squabble, everyone seemed stunned for a moment as to what was going on; as if they were all thinking, ‘Who sets a battle mood with bubbles!?’

    I jumped up on to of the rock, striking an innocent pose: right leg pulled up, left hand behind the back, and to top it all off, a bright, happy, and warm smile across my face as Nero scurried up my legs and torso, all the way up to the top of my head. “Hi everyone! I’m here to join the picnic!” I yelled aloud for all to hear. “Let the festivities...begin!” I threw my hands out to the sides and thrust them together before me in a solid and echoing clap...

    The bubbles around the battlefield suddenly burst in an explosion of energy, force, and color, like a firework, unexpectedly blowing all of the soldiers to the ground...

    BTW, a link to her form is hidden somewhere... :P

    lol at Fai's post. Rainbow indeed...

    And yes, the link to the form is really there, you know what I'm saying?

    Faiz
    Before the hoo-hah

    Mannnnnnn… you wanna hear something? There are not two voices in my head, but there are two heads in his voice, and it’s causing us great headaches, you know what I’m saying? It’s wild.

    Well… the last thing I remembered before this whole hoo-hah started was logging in pokemasters.net (after being cut away from a decent internet connection for about two weeks or so… Insert details here, etc etc…) Then I found out that someone had sent me a PM, advertising his RPG, and it was close to midnight, but I figured, “well, hey, why not? Since I was only involved in one RPG this year…”

    The weirdest thing was that this person had also asked for a signup form, if I was interested in joining. Hmm…Well, sure, I guess I’ll work on the sign up then. It’s not that I had anything better to do at the time anyway.

    As with my usual self, it took me a while before finishing the sign up, as I took my sweet time to eat, sleep (I attempted to, but I wasn’t sleepy enough), play a little game (of Counterstrike) etc…

    I paused to check through the details of the character; yeah, it’s true that I blatantly based one of the characters off the Assassin Creed game… Okay, how about making a second character? Let’s make it a female… a half sun bear and half human… bla bla bla…

    Well, well, I must have been so bored that I have the time to create two characters at once, eh… I wonder if that is actually allowed… Well, no matter, it’s 2 o’clock in the morning, and it doesn’t look like this person is online right now, so let’s just send it to this person anyway.

    There we go, the message was send, and… wow, my laptop’s screen went blank, just like that.

    My first reaction was to mutter a “ha…?” because as far as my experience goes, my laptop has never turned blank just like that. Sure, there are moments when it hung up, but by now, the blue screen would come out, with the white text, etc, but nope, nothing happens. It just went dead like that. Oh well, I guess I’ll just-

    Suddenly, everything turns dark: it seems to me that the darkness was spreading out from the monitor, as if it is alive. Every part of my body froze, and I mean everything (except for my thought, because I still remember making this remark):

    “It’s déjà vu… no, no… actually, I’ve, been there, done that… and man oh man, I wonder if-”

    The story just told is an example of some of the strange things that can happen in the middle of the night.

    So turn off your PC, and never ever ever reply to any private message from a newbie that asks you to join some RPG.

    In the meantime, I’ll be off to never, never land. I’ll send you a postcard once I’m there.

    Peace!

    What was I thinking…? Oh, right… I wonder if I’ll be seeing the same motley crews, hm?

    Yeaaaaaaaap, I wonder about that too, mm-hm.

    …Um, who said that?

    …Who, me?

    Yes, you. Who’re you? Because… to be honest, you sounded just-

    -Like me. Yeap, it’s ‘cause I’m you.

    I’m… you?

    You’re me.

    Ah. So, that would make us… me?

    Um, maybe…?

    …I don’t like having two heads, you know? It’s causing me a great headache.

    Mm-hm, mm-hm, yeap. Me too, me too…

    The first thing that Aram noticed upon waking up was that he felt… well, weird. For starters, he was feeling very, very uncomfortable: he felt the coldness of the thin layer of ice on his skin – it was as if he had just stepped out from being half-frozen in a refrigerator – but, at the same time, the sun was also burning bright on top of head, so he was practically sweating ice. On top of that, he was also feeling very lightheaded, as if he could pass out anytime soon.

    The second thing he noticed was that he was sitting on top of what felt like a very thick rug. After probing with his fingers, he found out that this ‘rug’ has a good set of sharp teeth, a snout, and sharp claws. It was only after a few more probing that he concluded the situation that he’s in.

    “…you better explain how you got here…” the half-bear and half-human creature said, obviously not too fond with the idea of someone sitting on his shoulder.

    Whoa-ho… it could talk! was Aram’s immediate remark, but he quickly realized that those words were only in his head. Nothing came out of his gaping mouth. He tried again, but still, nothing came out but a strained wheezing.

    Oh yes… I forgot that I’m mute… Well, well, this’ll be a little hard… Uh-huh… oh. Mm. It was only now that he was aware that they were not the only one here: they was a great assortment of human and half-animal and half-human, and, judging from the sight of the weapons and their pose, he immediately understood that he was thrown right into the middle of a fight. Most of them were frozen halfway through their fighting stance (he imagined a pause button), and all eyes were upon him.

    Well, here goes… He put on the most warmest, and the most sincere smile he could manage, and began to wave his arms wildly.

    The ones that were still fighting momentarily paused. Well, it’s good that I got their attention… Next, he began to make a series of movement with his fingers, which meant:

    “Well, let’s see here… well, I don’t know how I exactly I got here, but… if it’s possible, can I be excused from this fight? Do you understand? I do not want fight, OK? Peace, peace…”

    In which the group [the one send off for the journey] translated as:

    “Hmm, there sure are a lot of people here… hmm, I don’t know what the heck is going on here… so, can you help me beat this thing here? You know, hit him here with anything you got? Just don’t hit me, all right? We will win, we will win…”

    And for the ferocious half-breeds crew, they see it as this:

    “Pfft, there really are a lot of half-breeds here… piffle, it boggles the mind why they are all so ugly and stupid… so, friends, can we get on with the fight? What, do I look like a coward? Do you think I could not beat all of them in a fight? I could beat them twice, I could beat them twice...”

    And for the bear half-breed, he only had this thought in mind:

    “Get down right now, where I can cut your throat open, dreg!”

    And so the fight resumed the moment Aram was smashed face-first to the ground.

    Dear God, serve me right for trying to run away from the fight…

    Svana, on the other hand, was very delighted. Not only do they let her buy as many food as she desired, but they also gave her some gold coins to spend too! Well, that’s good thing; she was feeling hungry anyway…

    But still, there was still something missing… she felt that, deep inside the recess of her heart, there was a part of her that’s missing. She had a feeling that she should now be someplace else, with a certain someone… but she could not really remember who it this person was.

    “Well, the Queen did say that the rest of the group had gone off earlier, right?” she said between a mouthful of apple. Although, that name does seems familiar. Hm, Kiiah… now where have I heard that name before…?

    “That is correct,” replied the guard that had escorted her prior.

    “Then maybe I’ll find out who it was that I missed so much, mm-hm… hi, mister guard. When did you come back? I thought you had some other important business to attend to?”

    “Well… I’m just here to remind you that-”

    “‘the fate of the entire race of people rests on you finding it,’ yeap, yeap, yeap, I remember that…‘s all right, you don’t need to be worried. I’m heading out now; I’ve had enough apples for today. Well. Fankferrvevovizafifi! [speaking with a mouthful of apple] Thanks for the hospitability!”

    “Ah. Yes, yes, you’re welcome.”

    Wait a minute… I think I just heard something…

    Aram stood up, despite the fact that he was earlier sprawl on the ground, crushed by one of the half-breeds (which look like it was of the big cats family)

    It was a miracle that he had managed to avoid being hurt too badly (this, he does by effectively running around in random direction… and he was doing well, until the half-breed flew overhead – apparently out of nowhere – and conveniently landed on Aram)

    The aforementioned half-breed grumbled, took a moment to rub his head, and then wrapped his arm around Aram’s neck in a secure headlock.

    Yes… yes, I know that voice… that other voice-

    -Inside of my head echoed a second voice inside Aram’s mind.

    Hey, myself

    Hey, me.

    So, where are you exactly, eh… Faiz?

    Just turn around

    “Hi, brother,” greeted what appeared to be another bear half-breed (except that this one was female, and she appears to be more human-like than the one that he met earlier). Aram nodded approvingly – knowing well who this person is – and waved his hand.

    The half-breed stared, agape. “Who are…? Who’re you calling brother? Waaait, hold on there… where do you come from, anyway? I’ve never-”

    This was immediately followed by a yowl, as the half-breed had his palm over his right eye – the one poked by claw of Svana. “Well, duh, I’m talking about HIM, not you. Serve you right for trying to strangle him to death. Mangkuk.”

    *Mangkuk: the Malay word that is equivalent to idiot (literally, the word is translated as ‘bowl’; don’t ask me how it is associated with idiots, because I have no idea…). Svana will be using some random Malay words from time to time, so don’t be alarmed. [Subtitle included]

    Well, this is slightly longer than what I initially planned… yay to boredom =P Let me know if there’s anything that need changing.
    Please take it easy~

    ~*~*~*~*~ Scum of the Planet ~*~*~*~*~

    “Monkey’s?” I asked, my voice filled with curiosity and a bit of anger, deep down I knew what they were saying, it was a racial slur, something I was more than familiar with from living in Texas. No matter what form it took. “Who are you calling monkeys?” I asked, my voice hinting with anger.

    The largest one, a over sized behemoth that looked like Winnie the Poo on steroids was the first to step up, towering over me as I quietly began to shake in fear. Part of me, a large part wanted to go for the gut, to punch him in the gut followed by an uppercut. My hands were balled up into fists as he arrived in front of me.

    “What planet are you from, drutch? All humans are stupid monkeys, in fact, they are worse than monkeys.” He chuckled, using a hand to shove me backwards. The force from it was enough to cause me to stumble backwards, my knees bent to keep me from falling on my face.

    “What did you call me, freak?” I growled, my body shaking in rage, my nails digging into my hands until the warm feeling of blood began to drip from my fingers. Somewhere deep in my mind I made a mental note to cut my girlish nails.

    The bear man said something, I couldn’t really make it out, my ears were ringing, my heart pounding, and my teeth grinding together. All I could think of was launching myself at him, swinging wildly. “Don’t call her that!” A voice suddenly ripped through my thoughts like a hot knife.

    I turned to see the cat boy… Loki I believe, stepping up his hand on his sword. Suddenly I gained a ton of respect for him, just a few minutes ago I wanted to be as far away from him as possible. Now… now he seemed like the best friend I could possibly have!

    “Hey idiots!” I called out after a minute, my attention snapping back to the thugs, now they were ignoring me and going straight for Loki. “I was talking to you! Or were you too deaf, blind, and stupid to notice?” I spat, my eyes narrowing as the bear half-breed rose to his full height.

    Before I could even duck he swung the butt of his riffle around on a path that would knock my head clean off. All I could do was close my eyes and wait for the impact that seemed to never come. Instead I heard a loud smack a second later but slightly further away from where I was standing. “Shit…” Loki muttered as I opened my eyes to see him standing next to me with the Bear rubbing his jaw.

    I opened my mouth to say thanks only to be distracted by an arm grabbing my waist, pulling me away from Loki and away from the battle. “Son of a bitch let me go.” I turned to see Loki’s older brother looking above me, stepping backwards away from the battle as fast as he could.

    I swung my fist as hard as I could, pounding his chest several times as he pulled me away several yards, my punches making absolutely no impact, as if I was punching steel or the side of a battle ship. After a few more steps he swung me around by the arm so that I was looking up at his face. “Do you want to get yourself killed?!” He asked.

    My face twisted in rage, something that seemed to catch him off guard as I shook myself loose. “I could have taken him.”

    “Sure you could..” He rolled his eyes, looking from me to something going on over my shoulder. I turned and followed his line of sight to watch Loki roll, dive, and parry against the giant Bear Half Breed.

    I opened my mouth to say that I would go help only to find my voice and attention taken away by the sight of large giant beautiful bubbles that seemingly floated out of nowhere. My eyes slowly turned to the direction they had been coming from to find a woman standing on a large rock, a oblivious smile on her face as the bubbles burst on contact with the half breeds, sending them falling backwards.

    “GET DOWN!” I screamed at her as the Half Breeds got back up and continued to fight, this time with more anger. The woman’s face twisted in shock and then annoyance as reality began to dawn upon me. We could use magic… she had made those bubbles out of… magic! “I know… I know how to help.” I mumbled, gazing around at the battle that seemed to happen all around me.

    Caine’s attention seemed to focus at Loki, never once looking down at me. Alright all I had to do was figure out how to use my power. Maybe I could light the bear Loki was facing with fireballs, or… I could electrocute him with a lightning attack. “Okay… Fire!” I commanded, thrusting out my hands. Nothing…

    “Damnit…okay… Lightning!” I held my fingers out, expecting lightning to rush out of my fingertips like I was a Dark Jedi in a Star Wars movie. Again… nothing. I began to growl in frustration, my eyes focused on my hand before glancing back up at Loki. The Bear Half-breed soldier was on the ground, having been thrown there by the bubbles.

    But.. but his hand was slowly, methodically moving to his side where a small old fashion gun lay. It looked like one of the old pistols seen in the ancient pirate movies, the ones that only held one shot. He used a claw to lift it out of it’s holster, wrapping his fingers around the trigger. All of it… all of it was done in a way that was completely out of Loki’s line of sight! He was going to shoot Loki, and he wouldn’t know it before it was too late!

    “LOKI!” I screamed at the top of my lungs, thrusting my hands out. Everything happened in slow motion, Loki’s head turned to look at me; the Bear Soldier swung his arm around, aiming the gun at his head and fired.

    The bullet bounced off a invisible force field just inches from Loki’s face, the impact creating a ripple effect across what looked like a bubble that had surrounded Loki’s body.

    Standing a good thirty yards away I could feel the impact of the bullet, it felt like I had been punched in the stomach after running two miles. I dropped to my knees, keeping my hands up as if they were some how keeping the shield up. Loki turned and looked at me in shock as the Bear reloaded his weapon. I gave him a small smile before Loki turned back around.

    Stop him this time Loki… I can’t stop another bullet.

    Chaos reigned around Aelfrik as he stood and watched, his cigarette smoking lazily in his mouth. Half-breeds battled with the group members who gave as good as they got. He waited however, waited to see which one of the soldiers would make the first mistake. A moment later a strange mix between a hyena and a man turned to face the bat half-breed, its guns emptied and its saber in its hand. A snarl passed its lips as it saw the apparently unarmed man standing there. It turned and made its way towards Aelfrik, its tongue licking its lips in preparation.

    And we have a winner. Do make it amusing at least.

    Ignoring Marius Aelfrik took the moment he had until his opponent reached him to toss aside his cigarette and stretch his neck from side to side.

    Now, in martial arts there are a variety of methods that one can use to disable an opponent, to disarm them with minimal harm, or to divert their force to negate it efficiently and gracefully. In his travels Aelfrik had learned many of these methods.

    He had yet to find the need to use them.

    A booted leg shot out as the half-breed reached melee range, its sword just beginning its downswing. Boot met furred knee and with a ripping snap Aelfrik reversed the hyena man’s joint. Bone jutted from the destroyed hinge and a wrenching yowl of pain escaped the thing’s muzzle. Entirely unstable, the half-breed dropped his sword and began to fall sideways towards his ruined leg, hands already coming down as though to gather up the pieces of his kneecap and put them back together. Aelfrik’s right hand reached out however and grasped the hyena’s shoulder, twisting its fall to bring its neck in line with his rapidly rising knee. Vertebrae snapped at the resonating strike, letting the hyena die in relatively dignified silence as opposed to the weeping terror he would have otherwise experienced. Dropping his leg back to his side Aelfrik sighed. A hand reached into his jacket and removed a second cigarette which he lit and placed in his mouth. The hand entered the coat again and emerged this time with the half-breed’s turret pistol which he checked to make sure was loaded. Spinning, he raised the gun to hover inches from the face of the fox-man who had been sneaking up behind Aelfrik. His coat swirled our behind him, catching up to his eyebending movement, as he let the ambusher get a good long look at what the inside of a gunbarrel looked like. Cocking two of the chambers, Aelfrik raised an eyebrow and gave a toothy grin over his sights. The fox-man took a few shaking steps backwards, its sword lowering, before glancing from side to side and re-entering the melee, searching for a new target.

    Maybe it’ll take care of that little girl…

    Aelfrik couldn’t tell if that was his thought or Marius’.

    Danielle|Althalos

    Soon enough, the group set sail for the the library in the village of Raenor. After allowing Althalos control for the social interaction that the group had while preparing to set off; Danielle took the reins for the walk towards Raenor. It allowed Althalos to get a nap and Danielle could observe her ‘group’ more.

    Except, Althalos didn’t nap. And Danielle really didn’t observe much.

    You know, I can’t observe and make mental notes when all you’re doing is signing horribly sung songs in the back of my head.’Danielle thought, mumbling to herself as she continued to walk Althalos’ body with the group.
    What, they don’t have traveling songs where you live….d?’Althalos replied, stopping in mid-chorus.
    I guess, but even those are annoying.
    Can never be happy, can you?’Althalos replied, and then paused, remembering the comment Danielle said before about his singing.’Hey, I bet you’re not any better!
    Remind me the next time you’re controlling this body, to sing. Non-stop.’She snarled at him, and he sighed. Having forgotten what verse he was on, Althalos stopped his singing and decided it was probably best to actually maybe nap for some portion of the trip.

    Deciding to actually observe for a little bit, with the nuisance out of the way, Danielle peered over to where Naliah, or who ever was in control of the female with the jug attached to her hip, and Nissi were talking.

    "Why d'ya have that mask on again?"Naliah strolled over to be besides Nissi, who was still wearing her mask. And by the way she was speaking, Danielle quickly inferred that it was Naliah and not Moswen at the reins.
    "Because...I want to wear it since I have it."Nissi shrugged up a response, although it didn't seem to appeal to Naliah much.
    "You're going to trip and fall!C'mon, take it off!"Naliah reached over to take off Nissi's mask, but failed as Nissi moved a step away from her reach.
    "I'll take it off when I feel like it!"
    "I'll let you say hi to my dragon spirit!"Naliah attempted to bribe Nissi with something that probably didn't exist. As if questioning Naliah's sanity, something Danielle deemed to be similar to a child's, Nissi paused before her response.
    "I'd rather leave it alone right now."
    "Awww!"Naliah frowned in disappointment. Danielle chuckled, amused at the two of them, and smirked slightly.

    'You seem to get amusement from other people's disappointments, don't you?'Althalos remarked, a bit stunned at Danielle's reaction to the whole ordeal.
    'Only when it's amusing.'Danielle smirked back at him.

    The boring, dreadful walk continued into a short time after the Nissi+Naliah incident as Loki spotted 7 or 8 soldiers walking closer to their group. As they continued down the supposed path to Raenor, they eventually caught up with them. Their bodies well built, they each seemed menacing in their own right. There were various animal-hybrids in the group, including one that looked like a bear. It was that one that started the commotion.

    “You, half breeds.”The bear commented towards the various half-breeds that made up the traveling group. His voice was very commanding, reminding Danielle of a drill Sergent;“Why are you traveling with these monkeys?”

    'You're not exactly the picture of perfection either..'Danielle remarked, her inner voice retaining the calmness that it had since she 'landed' on Plyos, but it was easy to tell that she was annoyed.
    'Monkeys? Who are they talking about?'Althalos remarked, obviously naive in the hatred that the half-breeds in front of them had for humans.
    'You're really retarded, do you know that?! Don't even know when someone is making fun of you.'Danielle retorted, and was knee-jerked into the back as Althalos quickly took control.
    'I am not retarded!..I just don't understand why they'd call someone that..'Althalos sighed innocently.

    “Monkeys?” Suddenly Adalia's voice arose from the group, her voice tinged with curiosity. “Who are you calling monkeys?”

    Althalos' stood their, a bit nerved at Adalia's outburst. He wasn't really trained in these manners, as he never expected to travel as far as the half-breed continent. While he was used to racism between humans, and the terms that were used, he wasn't so sharp on the terms used against humanity in it's entirety. While his body remained in unease, he wasn't particularly moved enough to be offended by the term and moreso to be panicky at Adalia's outburst.

    “What planet are you from, drutch? All humans are stupid monkeys, infact, they are worse than monkeys.”The bear let out, approaching Adalia. His body cast a shadow of a mountian compared to Adalia's child body. It was probably around there that she lamented her question from before, becoming just a little scared of the bear half-breed. Although obviously frightened, Adalia ignorantly looked up at him in anger.

    “What did you call me, freak?” Her voice shook with anger, and most likely quivering in the presence of the huge bear.
    “After we return from battle, losing to your damn monkey army, you dare to speak to me like that?” The bear's voice quaked, the deep tone of it much more noticeable than before. Adalia looked up at him, and her body matched the quivering words she spouted before, although some part of her seemed to be ignorantly confident.“Maybe I should teach you a lesson, drutch.”

    “Don’t call her that!” Loki defended, much to his friends horror. As he walked toward, his hand reached towards the hilt of his sword. It only took a few more sentences between the two parties before the bear's friends joined in, picking their prey. A cat-like female, or what looked like a female, went after Althalos. Bearing her own halberd, Althalos quickly took his out in defense, having just enough time to parry.

    "What do we have herrreee?"She said, smirking as she kept her halberd against Althalos'. Her voice purred at the end, her pupils growing thin in excitement for a kill."Maybe I should play with you before I kill you, I need something to cheer me up!
    "I will not fight you!"Althalos naively said, quickly maneuvering his halberd. Dismissing the cat-woman's attack, he kept up his defense. The cat-woman laughed , easily amused at Althalos' remark.
    "Won't fight?! Even if my leader called you monkeys and I'm after your life?"
    "You're not my enemy..I have no reason to fight you, even if you make foul remarks against me and my friends."Althalos replied, his voice a little bit more serious. For his enemy was not these half breeds, or any for that matter. It was only what was holding his memories back. As if he was a bull staring straight at the red handkerchief, all he could see..all he wanted were those memories. No quarrels with half-breeds, no girl in his body. The only reason he was with the group in the first place because there could be a faint chance of him finding out his past one way or another, even in these remote lands. That, and the fact there was an emotionless, slightly off-kilter female voice in his head.

    "Fool."She smirked, the cat-woman's claws gleaming in the sunlight as her face lit up."I guess I will have fun with you, after all."

    While the wind blew between the two, both locked in a staing contest, a stray bubble flew between the two, and away towards the others.

    "..Bubbles..?"The cat woman and Althalos remarked, their eyesight following the bubble; which wasn't alone as many more came, decorating the battlefield.

    “Hi everyone! I’m here to join the picnic!” A voice chirped up, a female in a weird pose ontop of a rock. Ontop her head was a creature that both Danielle and him couldn't place a finger on, although it was on the tip of both their tongues. “Let the festivities...begin!” And with a clap, the bubbles - including a single one between Althalos and the cat-woman, exploded, sending everyone back on the floor in both astonishment and annoyance.

    '
    It's like a magical girl pose..'Danielle remarked, a bit out of character by the new persons actions. About to reply to Danielle, Althalos quickly felt cold steel in his thigh. It was when he looked up that he could see the cat-woman's blade in his right leg, although the wound itself didn't seem to be too deep. Wincing, Althalos reached out for his halberd in a knee jerk, maneuvering it in a way so that the cat-woman's halberd came out of his leg - although a bit roughly, and to a parrying pose.

    "Now, will you fight me?"She smirked, licking Althalos' blood from her blade. Althalos winced as she allowed him up, the blood soaking his pants a bit as he forced weight down on his legs. However, none of it hurt, atleast to him, In the back of his head though, he could feel Danielle wincing, biting her lip as she endured the pain.

    '
    I have a high pain tolerance, but I'm not going to last long if you lose too much blood!'Danielle quickly told him, her voice quickly told Althalos that he had to make it quick. Although a bit stunned as to why she'd lend her help to his battle, he quietly thanked her as he looked at the cat-woman, resolved.

    "I won't fight you, but.."He looked at her, and quickly murmured a spell. The lower-left section of his tatoo on his back glowwed as the fourth rune on his halberd's pole glew an icey blue. Amused, the cat woman looked pleased as she got into a battle-stance. The pain numbed by Danielle's will, he quickly ran at the woman, his halberd in a offensive pose. Quickly parrying it, the cat woman laughed.

    "Is this all you have? You're a weak blade-mage, huh?"She laughed, but her laughter shortly came to a pause as she relized what Althalos had aimed for. While the pole of the weapon looked normal - besides the glowing rune, the blade itself was covered in a chilled mist. The chilled mist, coming in contact with the cat-woman's own halberd, traveled down her weapon's pole as it wrapped around her hands, freezing them to the pole.

    "You...you...!!"She exclaimed, but with a naive smile, Althalos quickly took his right hand. Forming a fist, he quickly punched the cat-woman in the stomach. Knocking her out of breath, it only took a mere few seconds before the laid down on the pavement, unconscious and with her weapon frozen to her hands.

    '
    Such..a pacifist..'Danielle remarked, her voice light as her hold on the pain loosened. Falling on his ass, Althalos looked at his leg, seeing the top half of his right pant leg covered in blood(OoC:Not soaked, but it's obvious he's lost a bit).

    Did she really hold that much pain in for him..?

    Iain

    It took a lot to get Iain to dislike you; in fact many said it was impossible. Sure, you may annoy him from time to time but overall it was rather difficult to get him to think the world would be better off without you. But the warrior was now in the situation where he would greatly prefer if he never had followed the group of misfits. For now, because of that little girl’s mouth, they were in a battle.
    He wasn’t worried; he was a particularly good warrior. It was only the fact being that the current situation could’ve been avoided was the problem. Iain frowned, he was squaring off with a bull (or cow, he couldn’t really tell nor did he care) half-breed. The supposedly frightening thing about this half-breed was the sheer size of the man (woman?) and that great axe.

    “Yer gunna pay ‘uman…” It snorted, rising up to its full height which was a good foot taller than Iain.

    “Am I?” Iain tilted his head and quickly side-stepped the rather blunt attack. “It doesn’t appear that way…” He brought his sword up and blocked an over-head swing.

    “Graaahhh!” It roared, charging and swinging the axe impressively fast. The bull/cow went for a dazzling flurry which resulting in Iain blocking every swing and bounding back to avoid the last. “Imma gunna kill ya, ‘uman.”

    Joy… Iain smirked, and dropped the sword, the blade slid easily into the ground and the human stood waiting for the move. “Come kill me then.”

    The beast charged, and the sword flew from the ground back into Iain’s head, instantly the blade grew several feet in length as the compartment in the middle of the sword flew upon and shot out the true tip of the weapon. The half-breed snorted in surprise, and let out quite the yelp when the human moved faster than possible for a ‘monkey’ and appeared to his left. Iain smirked, slicing the bull’s left hand clean off.
    The great axe slammed into the ground, his opponent let out a roar of pain and anger as the severed hand twitched and oozed blood onto the ground. Showing impressive strength however, the bull lifted the axe with his good arm and swung it. Iain blocked, but the force of the hit sent him sliding back. Almost into the person he had met before, Caine. Who, unfortunately, did not see the minotaur-like monster rampaging towards them.
    Monster is a strong word… Iain mused, using his speed spell again to make the word a slow blur. Perhaps overgrown warrior-bull? His sword sliced through the pole of the axe, and the weapon’s head went tumbling to the ground. The half-breed paused, turning his head in surprise only to catch a flash of Iain.

    As the bull’s head tumbled to the ground, the swordsman looked up. Caine was having trouble; some other sort of half breed was coming after him. Iain grumbled; rushing forward as Caine fell from a shoulder-check. He got there just in time to block the half-breeds potentially finishing blow.
    The blade’s clanged and grinding against each other for a long second before Iain broke the push and kicked the somewhat-confused enemy. It went tumbling back, dazed for a moment.

    Iain helped Caine to his feet as they both stared at the enemy getting to his feet. “Hello again.” The swordsman smirked.

    David Ryan Lutz

    The ground was stained with blood, the leaves, the grass, the rocks, all covered in red, the smell was stomach turning. All around me the battle seemed to be winding down, I could barely see Loki, every once and a while I would catch sight of him, or who I thought was him. I had to run when the battle moved toward Caine and Iain, hiding behind a cropping of rocks and peeking out every few seconds.

    I needed a freaking sword; I needed something, anything to stab these creatures with. It was as if I were in hell, stuck watching a battle in a weak little body with a stick to hit with. “God damnit..” I muttered in anger.

    My attention was soon turned to the pounding of feet, down the road the soldiers had came from, was what looked like a large dust cloud being kicked up. “What the fu..” I whispered, rising from my hiding spot and taking a few steps in the direction, using my hand to shield my eyes from the sun. What was it? More soldiers?

    No, it was a gray shape, at first I could barely make it out, but the closer I got it gained more and more detail, a large hulking mammoth of a beast, adorned with a golden chest plate, a large horn rising from the ridge of his nose, and a place on his nose where another smaller one should be. His hide was thick and rough, nearly black, with cuts and scrapes, even shards of metal sticking out of it where it looked like swords had been broken right in half.

    The beast seemed to alternate from being on all fours to just on two legs, before finally settling on all fours, resembling more of a rhino clad in armor than a actual human being. “Gu…Guys…” My mouth suddenly went dry, as it became clear the Rhino Half Breed was charging directly at me. “He…” The beast was mere seconds from rushing right through me, it lowered it’s head, the horn angled directly to pierce straight through me.

    At the last second I gathered up all my strength and leapt, not in any particular direction, but I just jumped in the air. The actual leap was very short lived though, the back of my robe snagged on the horn sending me crashing down onto it’s head and back. Suddenly I found myself grabbing on to the thick hide, traveling along with it as the Rhino bellowed in anger, unable to see because of my legs and robe caught in it’s eyes.

    “LOOK OUT!” I screamed, as we charged past Iain and Caine, both of them leaping out of the path. I let out a small sigh of relief before turning to find us heading directly in the direction of the bubble woman that had shown up just prior to the battle.

    Before I had a chance to say a single thing, she leapt gracefully out of the way, her body un touched by the charging beast. For a second our eyes met before she rolled to the side and the Rhino changed directions taking us into the heart of the battlefield.

    My eyes turned back to the Rhino’s skin, I had to find something to slow it down. My first thought was the staff, but what good would that do? I would just pound it on the side of the head over and over again? Why oh why couldn’t I have gotten a freaking sword?

    Well it was better than nothing. I raised the staff over my head, preparing to slam it down when a arm grabbed me by the waist. “Got you.” The somewhat familiar voice said as we leapt from the Rhino, tucking and rolling along the blood stained grass.

    “Th…thanks.” I brushed a lock of hair from my eyes to see the red haired man smirk back at me. Instantly I felt my cheeks warm for a mid second before turning my head in embarrassment.

    “Let me take on this big hunk of wasted space.” He flashed a smile, taking me by the hand and over to Nissi, my anger only rose as I watched it continue to charge about on the battlefield.

    “I wish everyone wouldn’t treat me like a fucking kid.” I crossed my arms in anger, my lips pursed out as the guy rushed off. Nissi only smirked and smacked me in the head with her fan.

    ~Le lovely Loki avec le crazy Caine~

    Staring down the barrel of a gun was not something Loki had ever experienced before, nor did he ever want to again. The look Adalia had given him was just like the one Caine had done so many times before; the look of ‘I can’t do that again’. It was at times like these when he loathed magic users, despite how useful they were, although this normally soon passed.

    It was time for Plan B, obviously.

    The bear smirked, his finger beginning to tense against the trigger. The trigger clicked, the gun sparked inside, igniting the gun powder, the bullet flying out...

    The bear stood still, dumbfounded, smoking gun still in hand. Where had the little bugger gone? Shouldn’t he be lying dead at his feet?

    Meanwhile, Caine jumped out of the way of yet another charging animal. However, this time it wasn’t so smoothly done. He crashed into Iain, who only stumbled a little bit. Caine sighed in frustration, biting his lip as he felt his cheeks warm; this was so embarrassing. Why was he clumsy all of a sudden? He wasn’t the kind to just fall into people, especially not in the middle of a fight.

    I blame the girl... He thought, trying to block out the constant mutterings of Becki inside his head. She was confused, frightened, annoyed and upset. He didn't blame her, he would be too if he had no idea what he was doing.

    Standing up straight again, he turns and looks up at Iain. “S-sorry.” He begins, trying to think up an excuse. “Just worried about Loki. Not really concentrating.”

    Iain simply rolled his eyes, smirking. “Don’t worry about it.”

    It was only then that Caine actually did worry about Loki. Quickly, he turned in the direction of the bear and his brother, a smile appearing and sigh of relief escaping his lips as his eyes caught sight of the giant black cat on the bear’s back, its teeth sunk into its shoulder.

    Of course Loki wouldn’t just let this guy shoot him! As the gun sparked, he had turned quickly into his panther form with a little “poof”, ran through the bear’s legs, turned around and jumped on his back, biting his shoulder and digging his claws into his back. The bear roared in pain, unable to grab the kitty due to the broadness of his upper body, flailing in an attempt to shake him off. Loki gripped harder, blood dripping down his claws, soaking his paws. As the blood began to rush into his mouth he choked, releasing his grip for just long enough for the bear to throw him off, causing Loki to crash to the ground, hitting his head against a rather large and sharp rock, the impact causing him to change back into his human form.

    Feeling rather nauseous, the boy tried to sit up, his vision blurred and blood slowly trickling from his forehead. He closed his eyes and rubbed the bridge of his nose, instantly wishing that he hadn’t as he felt a rather large foot make contact with his lower ribs, falling back to the ground and curling up slightly, absentmindedly trying to protect himself.

    “You filthy, dirty traitor.” The bear hissed as he picked Loki up by his throat, gently at first, but slowly beginning to strangle him. As Loki’s eyes focused again, he noticed his sword in the bear’s other hand. His sword. Nobody touched his sword. “How would it feel to die by your own sword?”

    The panther boy smirked, trying to keep his breathing as calm as possible so he wouldn’t pass out. “I... won’t... find out.” He gasped for air, his voice barely audible. “You... on fire.”

    Suddenly, Loki felt the grip around his neck disappear, taking a deep breath, his feet firmly on the ground, hearing his sword crash to the ground. The once menacing sounding bear screamed in pain and horror, stepping back as he looked at his hands, which were now being caressed by flames. As the bear stumbled around in shock, Loki crouched down and picked up his sword, moving away.

    When the magic was no longer needed to keep this 7 foot bonfire alight, Caine stopped, his eyes returning to their normal shade of brown in contrast to the deep red they had become, his arms relaxing to his side as the flames surrounding his hands disappeared. For someone so shy, he carried a rather smug look on his face, which could be mistaken for pride. He was a little proud, he would have to admit, but mostly just pleased with himself.

    “What the hell was that?!” Iain questioned, Caine noticing a distinct look of confusion on the man’s face.

    Of course... Nobody really knew he was a magic user. People tended to assume that he used some kind of martial art as he didn’t carry a weapon or a staff, but what is the use of a staff? It’s just something else to lose. Of course he could fight, he just tends to find that his magic is more effective. “What was what?” Caine replied, feeding his own ego.

    “That! I never knew you could...” Iain trailed off, thinking for a moment to choose the right words. “... Be so violent.”

    He had to admit, Iain’s response had shocked him a little, but he tried not to let it show. Instead, he stretched, smiling sweetly. “Nobody hurts Loki and gets away with it.”
