Baby BASH

::A door opens and the contestants step inside a room designed like a nursery. Huge chibified forms of Pokemon float around off the ground, and the ceiling-a magnificent domed roof, is painted with various scribbles and other childlike objects. Its almost sickeningly cute.::

Welcome..to the Nursery. Your ref will be here shortly. But let me explain a few things to you, so you all won't feel confused.

This Part of the Festival is a Accumulation challenge. Meaning that you will not be eliminated until the very end. Since this Challenge is worth only 5 points, the Second Place winner will only receive 3, and the Third Place 1 point toward their overall score.

There will be 4 rounds. The first will be Standard. Good luck!

OK, go my male Bonsly Sixthree! I'm in an uncreative mood and it's only 6:53 AM, so...

Sixthree, use Stealth Rock and place rocks around the field. Then use Double Team and run through the field with your doppelgangers and smash all the rocks with Brick Break.

Ok, Ai, my female Cleffa; make a Substitute. Then stand before it and give it a Present. Finish with a Sweet Kiss on the substitute's cheek and jump away before it explodes (or heals).

Okay, Claudia! Let's go :3

Scuttle forward all eagerly as quick as you can to the center of the ring, aaaaand trip! That's right, trip and fall and when you hit the ground, use Splash! Splash up and down off the ground until you get enough hight to bounce off one of those chibi floating Pokemon.

As soon as you hit it, use Mirror Coat, and keep bouncing off the floating Pokemon until you're super duper high for little you...Put up a Safegaurd and let yourself fall to the ground, all nice and safe.

Okay then, let's go Rodente my female Pichu!

Begin with a nice long Flash which will make everyone cover their eyes and look away. During the Flash, make a Substitute and then cling onto one of the chibi Pokemon and hid behind it so everyone thinks you're still on the ground. Then surprise them by jumping down onto the sub with a Volt Tackle causing the Sub to explode in a flash of yellow.

Oh yeah, people should duck.

I'll send out Elekid.

Hmm... we're in a nursery... Before my performance, I'm going to set up a hammock, not too far off the ground. The hammock should be strong enough to hold Elekid, but weak enough that the performance works as described below.

Use Thunder Wave and act as if you are running low on energy, and you might need a nap. Then, go to sleep with Rest. Finally, Snore in such a way that you break the hammock, hopefully drawing a laugh from the audience.

Grand Festival!!!



*Fanfare plays*

Here we are everyone! The Epic stage that all Coordinators aspire for-the Grand Festival. We have quite a turn out this time; as well as an array of contests for them to test their mettle against each other.

I'll be reffing from atop this awesome floating flying disc so I can skim from arena to arena, keeping tabs on how things are working out. Currently I'm over the Nursery, where we have 6 Coordinators ready for the Baby Bash

First round is a standard appeal.

#1: Mikachu Y. and Sixthree, Bonsly.
Stealth Rock~Double Team~Rock Smash

Hopping off the changing table is Mika, with his lil Bonsly. The lil guy ruins out to the middle of the field, in full view of the audience, and begins to caused letter blocks to fall and lodge themselves in the ground..somehow. They formed a haphazard maze, that he and his new brethen now ran and jumped along, One Bonsly was stuck on the corner of a Y block, and two more ran through a series of paths made by a good portion of the alphabet blocks. The Real Sixthree though, ran past two more of his clones and began smashing the blocks as he got to them. It made for a fun scene, Bonsly's kicking blocks.

The tantrum mayhem over, Sixthree bowed, to a applause.


#2: MLG and Ai, Cleffa
Substitute~Present~Sweet Kiss

MLG and his Cleffa are up. Cleffa walks out to the middle and hugs herself. She spins and then suddenly, as she stops, she's hugging a Beanie Baby clone of herself. Its even squishy!

Happy with it, She runs over to her playmate and drops a Present in its open arms. Well I guess the recipient liked it, casue Ai then kisses teh Sub's cheeck (which ruffles a bit..) before Ai bounds away...accelerated a atad by the Explosion!

Bye...Sub..People clap...but look at Ai funny.


#3: Houndoom Lover and Claudia, Wynaut
Spalsh~Counter~Safeguard

The next baby out is Claudia, owned by Houndy. She runs out as happy as can be, and then trips. The audience gapsps as the baby falls, but then it looks like she starts going tino a seizure. But this seizure is causing her to bounce up. Strange way of Splashing about, but soon she's boucing along the decor of the area.

The audience does not lose the blue dot, because she enhances her sheen with a Mirror coat, so now it looks like a bouncing disco ball! After a pew more MMBops, she flings herself toward the ground. A stream of stars encircle her and twinkle away as she bounces twice, before lying still. She stands and people clap-Safeguard helping with the landing a tad.

#4: Rossymore and Rodente, Pichu
Flash~Substitute~Volt Tackle

Up next is Rossymore and Rodente. The pair walk on the field, before Rossy dives for cover. Rodente begins to glow, and a Flash blinds the entire Nursery. People hiss in anguish, and Pichu uses ths time to jump up and create a Substitute which is pushed off of so she can reach the flying animals. She stays atop a Noctowl's back as the Flash subside and people start to wonder what they missed.

Nothing as a Yellow speedy Sphere zips from the flier and slams into the Substitute. People avoid the instant ejection of materiel, but still clapped at such power from one trick.

#5: Chaos and Elekid
Thunder Wave~Rest~Snore

Lastly is Chaos. He runs out as his Elekid just saunters forward. Chaos then runs back, and Elekid reaches a hammock, barely. His body sparks almost uncontrollably, but its very weak, and he slowly clamors into his makeshift bed. Awww poor guy needs Rest. And that's exactly what he gets.

Well not for long, as he rolls around and almost falls out the Hammock. Then he startles himself away by Snoring and shooting a thundershock out that snapped a support beam. Elekid goes flying and lands a yard or two today. People react and giggle and awww and all the cute sounds while applauding.

#1) Mika & Sixthree
Score: 8.5/10

Seeing Kids run around is always funny. They're always doing random things. You and Sixthree exhibited that pretty well with such a simple appeal. I really liked it and I hope to see more of it!

#2) MLG and Ai
Score: 8.1/10

...I'm a fan of babies and explosions. But Babies causing explosions is something that not acceptable by some. Too bad they aren't here. I though it was cute, a fun lil spice to the baby being cute theme the world has fallen accustomed to. Kinda like a "Long Kiss Goodnight" sequence

#3) Houndy and Claudia
Score: 7.9/10

....What now? Don't quite get the need for the Safeguard. The beginning was funny, babies tumble and flail all the time, and they do bounce around, but that was more like a dribbling trick. Got kinda weird how long she was bouncing up there too. The audience was glad she got down safely though, so you got some credo there.

#4) Rossy and Rodente
Score: 8.1/10

Babies destroy things out of nowhere! This is a true fact of life and it was well executed. Unlike MLG's..which had the propensity to not explode-you went for the straiggt out kill. Scary lil baby, now that I think about it.

#5) Chaos and Elekid
Score: 8.5/10

Capitalizing on cute. That was a good appeal. Nice use of the hammock, it wasn't too gimmicky. Played the tired child routine pretty well. I liked it alot actually.

Well, Elekid wants to play on the jungle gym. Unfortunately, there isn't one around. So, he starts off with a light screen (if possible, shaped into a jungle gym). He tries to climb it, but he just can't get a grip. Stupid ethereal walls. Thinking for a bit, the kid comes up with something. He uses Thunder Punch to enclose his fist with static energy, and starts "climbing" the light screen with Magnet Rise, making it look like he's using the static energy of the Thunder Punch.

Use Belly Drum and slap yourself, then show us your Fake Tears and finish with Uproar to let us know that you're a big girl now and that you can take a small booboo.

Hrhm, I've seem to find my weak point :3 Being cute...Okay, Claudia, let's see what we can do with your wittle move set.

Okay! ^w^ Claudia, go waddle out to the center of the field and prop yourself up on top of your head, and start to spin your self with those hand thing you have up there. Keep going, once you've got enough speed use Mirror Coat like you're going super fast so you're blurry and what not and start spin-splashing on your head towards the audiance, once you're as close as you can get, just spin again and slowly flicker out your mirror coat.

Use Counter to get back on your feet-things in a fluid motion, and all dizzy like since you most likely are, wooble out.
