Gin, feeling like a cowboy, prepares to end this wall of ghosts by stealthily charging at them with a ghostly energy. He runs at them so quickly that he fails to notice their trickery -- Bello, however, spots it, and wraps him up in a vine whip before he can damage them. The ghosts snicker as the aura around them dissipates -- Destiny Bound -- Gin got lucky there.

The ghosts fail to respond a second time as their spell fades away; with a wily smirk, Gin goes for them again, pummelling them with a series of darkened waves and electric pulses [ -20HP + -12HP TGC / -3PP Gin ]. Completely exhausted, Gin collapses on the ground.

The Ghost Carnival wallows for a moment before completely vanishing into nothingness! You've done it!

...but where are your pokémon? And where are Blade and Charles?

Charles darts away from Blade and his team, towards the silhuettes. Blade, meanwhile, decides to go the easier route on this and has Grand Star use psychic to figure out their origins [ -5PP Grand Star ]. Rawk Hawk, using Mirror Move, does the same [ -8PP Rawk Hawk ].

They see the figures in their minds -- it is Kamon and Alexander, as well as a pachirisu and a smeargle. Charles Legend only confirms this upon getting the visual.

Mastermind takes center stage, hovering over towards the massive ice golem with a furious fury -- but before it can even make any headroom, Regice strikes it with a powerful ice beam that slams it into a wall, and without any hesitation, the ice freezes it to said wall [ -10HP, +100% Frz Mastermind / -4PP Regice ]. Goku uses this as an opportunity to catch this jerk off guard and rushes at him via his blind spot. He sweeps downward, knocking the tubby giant off its feet [ -10HP Regice / -6PP Goku ]. Goku starts congratulating himself too early, however, and Regice knocks him into the ceiling with a similar ancientpower [ -9HP Goku / -5PP Regice ]. While the golem is still on the floor, Frost comes from behind, slapping it with a powerful iron tail [ -15HP Regice / -8PP Frost ].

Beartic, no longer feeling sore, sharpens her claws to give her more strength [ +20% Atk, -5PP Beartic ] as Goku rams at the now-standing Regice with a fiery tackle [ -7HP Regice / -3PP, +10% Spd Goku ]. Feeling threatened the most by Goku, Regice homes in on him entirely [ -3PP Regice ] just as Frost comes at him from behind [ -7HP Regice / -3PP Frost ].

Goku slaps his palms on the ground in preparation before lunging at the ice golem -- exploding in a sea of fire. But before his attack can connect, Regice knocks him out of the air with a powerful zap-cannon, throwing him to the ground quite easily [ -12HP, +25% Par Goku / -8PP Regice ]. Beartic angrily groans before avenging her ally -- she slams her fists angrily on the golem's torso [ -11HP Regice / -5PP Beartic ] as Frost uses another iron tail [ -15HP Regice / -8PP Frost ]. Regice, now displeased, slams his fist down, hard, on Frost, dealing heavy damage to her [ -15HP Frost / -7PP, -10% Spd Regice ].

The two of you eye one another down angrily, preparing for a useless battle among the void. However, before you can make your orders you notice that the several other pokémon not belonging to you have suddenly vanished! One by one, members of your respective crews fade away from this void until both of you are taken as well.

Blade opens his eyes and sees a peaceful field. His pokémon are all with him, finally.


A shiny tranquill caws at him from his left side. Where is he?

Charles Legend too opens his eyes, but his location is unfamiliar to him. Like Blade, Charles' team is together with him. The heat is intense, and he can see a muddy lagoon nearby. He's in a swamp of some sort. He feels something striking the back of his head:

Mastermind attempts to break free from the icy prison, but it is wreaking havok on its systems and disallowing it to move anywhere. Beartic notes her ally's frustration and attempts to help it out a bit.

Goku, meanwhile, charges up an incredible blast of fire that ultimately goes nowhere as Regice slams him into one of the walls with another harmmer arm [ -12HP, -9PP Goku / -7PP, -10% Spd Regice ]. Frost avenges her ally by stabbing the ice guardian with her sword-like tail [ -15HP Regice / -8PP Frost ].

Goku takes a moment to recover from the powerful hit he just took while Regice gets mud in the eyes [ -3HP, -10% Acc Regice / -2PP Frost ], compliments of Frost. The large, awkward golem stumbles around, flailing its arms around crazily until ultimately striking Beartic with an ancientpower [ -9HP Beartic / -4PP Regice ].

Mastermind manages to escape from its icy prison now, and takes aim at the golem before charging at it with an explosive force. The golem stumbles down as Mastermind collides with it [ -15HP Regice / -15PP Mastermind ], giving Goku the opening he needed to fire off a powerful blast of fighting spirit [ -18HP Regice / -7PP Goku ] right before Regice gets stabbed by Frost's second iron tail [ -15HP Regice / -8PP Frost ].

Not satisfied with how this is going, Regice howls a loud howl before glowing white -- a countdown starts -- 60 seconds. It's planning on exploding!

...to the next room? The explosion can be heard, but it doesn't cause much stir whatsoever.

Curious, you head back into the ice golem's throne room to find it on the ground, charred. Must not've given its all to the explosion...
