I'm going to expect that the sword poke (whatever the name is, couldn't care much) is going to have some move/ability that boosts the power of an ally's physical moves (in double battles) by a certain percentage.

I didn't think taking maybe 30 minutes out of your day was that hard, especially since you always seem to be on.

Why did you take the battle if you had no intention of reffing it?

If I may input something that's not overly ridiculous, I think I'll do that.

Considering I have some (incredibly slight, admittedly) experience reffing, I may as well inform you that some people don't exactly have a surplus of a certain something known as "motivation"

When one tries something new (in this case, reffing), of course they're going to enjoy doing it, being really enthusiastic and enjoying what they do. However, for some people, that tends to die down a bit. I was one of those people, and my reffings started to suffer. A lot.

I don't know if Emerald is one of those people (hell, it could be that he has next to NO time on his hands due to RL, which is understandable), but I don't fault him for it. Motivation comes and goes, but I'll tell you one thing.

Simply pointing out someone's faults isn't really helping much to fix it. Especially if that problem has to do with motivation.

OK I admit it was childish for me to call you that but still I really do have barely any time on my hands because of RL. As soon as I want to start reffing or am almost done with reffing my mom or dad says 'We're leaving right now'. I really only have time for posting moves or releasing my pokemon, but sometimes I have time for reffing but that hasn't happened lately, today I will be updating all my battles as best as I can because it is my grandpa's birthday today and I'll be going over there, his internet is so slow that Internet Explorer is faster at my house than Chrome at his, so I may not be able to update them at all depending on when we go over there. So again I'm sorry for the inconvenience and for calling you a dick.

I do understand that, but you have to live up to your commitments if you take them on. I don't think I'm being unreasonable for getting pissed off because he promised to do something and isn't doing it. Motivation or not, you should not commit if you're unable to actually do the thing.

And, Em, if you can't find the time to do if, if there are no free half an hours in your life at the moment, just let someone else take the battle. I know its just me being selfish, but I'd like to actually get it finished, this happens to me in all ASBs, the only finished battle, in the past two months, in three ASBs I am in, only one has actually been finished.
