I stared at the karts. I'd never considered racing before. It seemed fun, though. And it was to save the Rainbow Road.
"This better not take very long... I have to get back to Dreamland and get the Star Rod back... I was sooo close!" I moaned.
"It'll be fun." Said DK, trying hard not to step on anyone.
"Yeah... I suppose so..."
I looked around at all the karts. One caught my eye. It was light blue with darker blue go-faster stripes. I ran over to it as fast as i could.
"I might just enjoy this after all! This kart is mine, i tell you, mine!"

I laughed as the little blue blob, Kirby, ran over to a kart. Everyone was staring at him as if he were mad. I wasn't. I was looking for my old kart. It nearly fell apart last time because of how big i am.
"Mario! Where's my kart!" I asked, poking him. Of course, my poke sometimes seems more like a punch...
"Ow! It's where you left it! And there's no need to punch!" He said angrily.
I glared, went over to my kart and started it up. "At least it still works..."
