Long ago, in a land called Fuuka, twelve maidens were called to battle.* Strange creatures not found on this world had terrorized the land for some time, striking fear in the hearts of men.* But these maidens were unafraid for their own lives as they fought for those they loved.* It was said that these maidens could see the red star, Ikusahime, and were given its mark allowing them to harness unimaginable powers in the form of weapons and beasts.* Though their lives were brief, they were able to beat back these creatures, sending returning to whence they came.*
Now, hundreds of years later, the Ikusahime star burns brightly in the sky once again.* Twelve new maidens, twelve new HiMEs, must take up the mantle and fight against the darkness once more.* But is that all there really is to the tale?
With this fable in motion, the twisted future that the star casts upon us all now set, it's only appropriate to call such a bizarre and ludicrous series of events a "Carnival." As the HiME begin to gather, unintentionally, in the land of Fuuka once again, they will be driven by fate to protect our sheer existance. Whether conscious or oblivious of their abilities as a princess of Ikusahime, only time can tell what destiny awaits them.
By one method or another, you, a HiME, have ended up at Fuuka Gakuen, a rather prestigious acadamy in Japan. As a student, new or old, or a member of the faculty, you have reason enough to be joining the fine staff of the school. What the curriculum holds for you this year is unknown, but what can be said for sure is that a sinister phenomenon is about to befall the land of Fuuka yet again. What dangers can be expected? What fate has Earth been bound to? And how can the actions of twelve young girls effect all of this...?

Name: Uzaki Maiyuki (She prefers to be called Yuki)
Age: 15
Physical Appearance: Yuki is girl of rather average stature, standing at about 5'5". Her hair is shoulder length and a dark, dirty blonde in color. Her eyes are a rich brown with a determined profoundness seem to say "I'm not afraid" in almost any situation. The rest of her body is proportioned quite well, having a decent chest size and and slightly longer legs than her body.
School Uniform: She wears Fuuka Gakuen's traditional Orange Uniform (Longsleeve and Sleeveless) with pure white stockings. She wears a red bead bracelet on her right wrist at all times. (A promise bracelet given to her by her friend Ami. Yuki gave her a blue one as well.)
Casual Outfit: On warm days, she can usually be seen wearing a halter top of a darker color that crosses in the front before tying behind the neck. Many of them have sarcastic or witty word/phrases written on the front in Kanji and show a couple inches of her midriff. Her pants are normally a pair of lightly faded, capri-length jeans that sit comfortable on her hips. She also wears a pair of straped sandles. During the colder seasons, her outfit changes to various solid-color sweaters and full-length jeans. She wears a pair of white tennis shoes instead.
Personality: Rather outgoing, usually saying aloud what's on her mind with little regard to other people. Although this may drive some people away from her, most appreciate it because they know that she is always being honest. She's not very good at keeping secrets, so this whole HiME thing is a real burden on her sometimes. She's light-hearted and usually pleasant to be around. Thankfully, she's not as energetic as most people with those traits. She doesn't exactly excel at school and learning, but she has a powerful ambition that just refuses to let her give up on anything. Yuki enjoys taking the time out to spend her leisure hours with friends or family, especially with her best friend, Ami Kazoe (another student at the Acadamy).

Relationships: Childhood friends with Ami Kazoe (a rather peppy and loving brunette), the two of them have done and shared just about everything with each other. Is friends with Aya, and becomes close to Iyako during the course of the RPG as well.
History: Yuki has lived in Fuuka since she was born. Her father is the owner of a nice size electronic's store downtown. Her mom stays at home with her grandfather and takes care of the housework. Since the Fuuka Acadamy is the closest school to Yuki's home, it was rather easily to decide on where she would be going to schooling as the time became appropriate. From time to time, depending on school and business, she will go and work at the store with her dad. There's no uniform, but the dress code requires her to wear khakis and a normal T-shirt.

“Yuki-dear...,” A voice echoed from downstairs. “Yuki!” I boomed louder. “MAIYUKI!!” I stiffened and sat straight up in my bed. Startled, I rolled over to check my digital clock.
“9:00 already!?! God!” I flipped the sheets off myself and leapt out of bed, “I hope I have enough time...” Today was the first day of school, but I had to make a couple stops before I got there first. I had forgotten several vital supplies for the year and had to make a stop at the corner store before heading to the commencement ceremony. “Sorry, dad! I’m coming!” I threw what I already had prepared for school into my brown backpack and snatched my uniform off the hanger in my half-opened closet. But in the instant I touched the fabric of the outfit, a memory flashed before my eyes; a recurring dream that had been haunting me all summer long...
A cavern hidden from the view of everyone except me. Inside is a small raised platform with 10, no... 11 short, pillar-like stones sticking about a foot out of the altar. There are tribal patterns and symbols drawn in whites, blues, and greens everywhere in this chamber and the entire room is filled with an aura of magic and power that subliminally draws me here. Suddenly, a voice echoes from somewhere, calling me, tempting me, “Maiyuki, Mai...Hime...”
“MAIYUKI UZAKI! Get down here now! I’m leaving!” Dad was shouting at me again. He, or my mom, always interrupted that dream, never letting me finish it. I always wondered that maybe I wasn’t supposed to finish it either.
I shook the images from my head and hurriedly dressed myself, throwing my pajama top aside and putting my orange uniform on. Thankfully it was simple: a white dress shirt and an orange vest with a white border. I quickly slung my bag over my shoulder and scampered down the stairs and into the kitchen where granddad was sitting at the table drinking a cup of tea and dad was waiting at the door where he could wish me a “Good day.” But today, I was in too much of a hurry! I chugged down a glass of orange juice and raced out the door. I heard dad say something as the kitchen door shut, “Yuki! You forgot to-”
“I’m going to get it on my way! Seeya!” My words all slurred together as I ran out of the yard and down the sidewalk as fast as my legs could carry me.
“I was going to tell her she forgot her skirt, but it’s too late now.” Dad sighed as mom chuckled a little from behind the island in the middle of the kitchen.

Thankfully, I knew the corner drug store carried school supplies. They were cheap, but they always seemed to last longer than the brand-name stuff. But I was a little uncomfortable in the store. People were staring at me strangely and, sometimes, even giggling. I didn’t have the time to worry now, but I’d contemplate it at the ceremony.
I ran down the aisle with the supplies and located the shelves that held hundreds of folders and binders. “I need two of these ones and a couple of these too!” I grabbed them and headed back to the front of the store where the check out was located. But as I turned at the end of row, I soon found myself, and someone else as well, on the floor! “Augh...Ouch. Oh, Ami! You picking up some last-minute supplies too?”
“Yeah, I was! But are you on your way to school?” She asked, holding back a bit of a laugh.
“Well, duh! Of course I am! Why wouldn’t I be?” I found her question rather peculiar for the time it was already.
“You still kinda have your PJ bottoms on!” She pointed at my pants and started laughing hysterically!
“I have WHAT!?!” I looked down at the long, hunter green pajamas pants I still wore on my bottom half. I started to laugh, but it wasn’t quite the emotion for the situation. “Damn! I guess I’ll just have to wear them to school... I don’t have much of a choice now!”
We picked ourselves up and quickly made it to the register. “God! My cash is in my skirt!”
“Don’t worry about it, Yuki. I got you covered.”
“Thanks, Ami! I owe you!” I told her as she paid for my folders as well as her own set of supplies. “I guess we should hurry though!” The two of us scurried out the door and towards the school again.

As we approached the school, it could be seen that hundreds of chairs were set up in the school’s courtyard for Director Rokugan’s speech. We quickly took up a pair of open seats on the outside edge of the massive setup. I turned to look at the student next to me and found it to be Aya, a friend I had ironically made over the summer. “You made it just in time. But,” She stopped. I followed her eyes down to my pajamas, “I see you finally decided to do something...different?”
“Yeah... I was in a hurry, so shut up...” I furrowed my brow a little and she gave a snort, trying to hold back a bit of laughter.
Before we could say another word, Koyuki Rokugan, the administrator of the entire academy cleared his throat in the microphone...
In your first post, please include waking up (or whatever your character might be doing in the morning), doing any last-minute preparations for school, and getting to the courtyard before (or after >.>) the start of the Director's speech.
