Default An Apocalyptic Beginning- A RPG by Ghost and Samchu- SIGN-UPS!

    It Lives... IT LIVES!!!!!!!!!

The Age of Unity was a golden period for the universe. With most of the planets united under one alliance they were free to thrive and prosper. The galaxy was at peace for the first time in centuries and crime was only heard of on the smaller, rundown planets outside of the alliance. Life for the majority was better than it had ever been, and better than perhaps it ever would be.

The rebellion came unexpectedly. Unrest is something easily hidden among the many ranks of the military. A man named Ryoss Arc orchestrated the overthrow of power. He had been a leading General of the alliance's army before becoming a representative to his home planet. During an alliance meeting of the planetary representatives, the headquarters were stormed by military personnel. Under Ryoss' orders, they assassinated each of the representatives, leaving Ryoss able to seize control of the alliance. With the military at his disposal, Ryoss' dictatorship began.

Life on planets within the alliance became harder as Ryoss made full use of his powers. Curfews were put into place on many of the planets and military officials were a common sight on almost any street corner. Taxes began to rise constantly, forcing people to abandon their lifestyles and find work in the most strenuous conditions. Corruption became common place within society with the rich and powerful preying on the desperate and weak. Civilisation was left to sustain itself whilst Ryoss reaped the rewards.

Yet this is not true of all the planets. Those planets outside of the alliance continue to function at they always had. Living by the most primitive of rules yet living free. After Ryoss' reign began, some found work trading in the black market: smuggling goods between planets whose trade routes had been crippled by unmerciful taxes. There are even rumours of a rebellion movement but no one knows for sure if it exists.

This is the world you live in. Ryoss' dictatorship has been in effect for almost five years and no matter who you are or where you are, no doubt it has had some effect on you. Maybe its created a new job or offered you an opportunity you never thought you'd had. Perhaps its the complete opposite. That's the beauty of the universe, practically anything can happen.

This RPG Takes place in a new universe full of its own planets. We have a list of planets, but seeing as there is not that many, you are free to create your own as long as you run it by me or Sam. But generally, all will be accepted

    Planets go down like this:

Hephaestus- A former prosperous colony in the Alliance, Hephaestus is pretty much a giant ball of fire and lava. The whole planet is desolate or resources except for Lava, which is solidified and exported to sell as lava rock. After a huge explosion that destroyed millions of people on the planet, only robots and a few small colonies remain on this melting hot planet. Only one Rebel base remains here, hidden among a group of tribal people. It is said that Hephaestus would only be a main base as a last resort.
Freyr- A mainly jungle planet near the middle of the universe, Freyr is a resource giant. Full of tropical rainforests and many scientific resource centers, Freyr is a god among planets for resources, including crystal clear lakes and trees everywhere. Freyr remains claimed by the Alliance, with the capital city, Torren, being the only city on the planet that draws in tourists.
Chione, Thyrm- Chione and Thyrm are two twin planets that lay in orbit on the outskirts of the universe. Both planets are giant balls of ice, and are desolate of resources like Hephaestus. Both planets are mainly uninhabited because of the extreme cold, yet both planets have been scouted out by Rebel and Alliance scouts.
Laverna- The capital of the alliance, where dictator Ryoss Arc was born and currently resides. This planet is a major urban area, with billions of people spread along the whole planet, and is also the most harshly enforced planet in the galaxy. The Alliance's main base, the Ryoss Palace, spans nearly 2 miles long and is where Ryoss settles in when he is not touring the galaxy.
Tethys- The major front of the Rebellion. This planet is totally enveloped in ocean, and no land is in sight, which is why the Alliance has not yet taken over. Yet, under the water, the rebels have major bases located all under the water. Prosperous underwater cities are located all under the planet, and major shipyards and arms factories also lie underwater. If this planet was to be attacked by the Alliance, the rebellion would lose almost everything.
Cybele- Cybele is a planet with just the perfect climate, somewhat like San Diego. Full of rolling plains, long beaches and major oceans, Cybele is one of the Alliances major planets.
Set- Set is a desert planet, located somewhat near Laverna, is majorly disputed planet between the Alliance and the rebellion. One half of the planet is controlled by the Alliance, while the other, including the capital, Salvo, is controlled by the Rebellion. For some reason, the Alliance has not tried to take back Set yet, but rumor has it that they are gathering a army to storm the capital...
Ionis System/Ionis- Ionis is an uninhabitable gas giant but is surrounding by thousands of rings and numerous moons. It is believed there are 29 moons in total. Due to the hostile nature of the system, it has become a haven for pirates, smugglers and gangsters. It lies outside of the Alliance domain as it is a crime-ridden system that poses little threat to any other systems, plus the Rebellion is drawing their resources from taking Ionis. Rebels probably operate here but as pirates have no honor or reason to rebel, Rebellion types are not looked upon favourably. Rather than being ruled by a single entity, crimelords wage a war of subterfuge to undermine each other. While the moons themselves have no atmospheres, they have been colonised with domes that create artificial atmospheres or the smaller ones have been hollowed out and colonies created under the crust, again with artificial atmospheres created within them. The main port and the 'key' to the system is Ionis VII, a filthy crime-ridden city on the surface of the moon

During his stay there, he decided that his best luck would be to become a fighter pilot, seeing as he loved to drive subs and this shouldn't be much different. During his stay becoming a pilot, he became good friends with a man named Nathan Koals, who would eventually grow up to be his partner. Nathan and Curt were generally close, seeing as they were in the same squadron fighting against any native resistance. After graduating and going into the military as a pilot, Nathan and Curt went on a mission to Hespatesus, were they were forced to engage with enemy ships.
