Battle

With supreme confidence, Kurenai concentrates, and the hapless Vincent is once again subject to some rather merciless agony - but this time, he is glad to know that he can retaliate, and he does just that, darting forward with as much agility as he can muster to slam a good blow onto the foxy lady.

(H:-11, E:-5; H:-9, E:-6)

Seeing her opponent so close, electricity is already beginning to crackle in her delicate paws, but Van Gore will have none of this, and with a grunt of effort, he throws himself into the air, well out of reach of her fists.

(E:-4; E:-4)

While hovering, the Smeargle watches her, but she too waits, having had rather clear orders, and anyway, it would be silly to launch an attack while her opponent isn't there to be hit right?

...It appears that the two Pokemon have reached a quandary, both trainers having given very precise orders. Smeargle finally breaks the spell, divebombing, his horn on the ready, but Kurenai, making up her mind at the last minute, fades out of sight, only to reappear on an atom behind him. Foiled, Van Gore skids to a halt midair and slows down to land gently on the smooth white surface.
