for those of you unfamiliar with the game, power pro (or in its full name, Jikkyou Powerful Pro Yakyuu) is one of the most popular sports games in japan. the game features japan's major leagues, and has recently also included the teams from Major League Baseball. as a matter of fact, it was announced last week that Konami and 2K sports will be bringing the game to the US.

anyways, one of the key modes is the career mode, in which you make your own character (called a powerprokun, featured in the image above) and take him from his college career all the way up to the major leagues in an RPG type system.

this is what inspired me to make this RPG, and i think a lot of people who like baseball will enjoy this RPG thread. here is the "plot":

Baseball. America's past-time. A simple game, where those of almost any age or stature can play. Some play better than others. You are one of the select few with the talent to make it into the big leagues. But, before you make it to the show, you have to prove your talent in college ball. You have been offered a scholarship to the University of Kingston to play, but there's a small problem: the Kingston Knights haven't had a winning season in almost a decade. But with you and the help of your teammates, you can turn the program around, and prove to the country your right to play in the MLB.
