Alright, Brian, you accepted my challenge on MSN... So let's settle this battle once and for all!
First, I've taken the liberty of incorporating your rules:
1. Banned moves: Rest, Substitute, Mimic, any pure status inflictors, and any pure healers.
2. So there is no intentional type-trumping, we PM our first pokemon to the ref.
3. This'll be a 4-on-4 battle, 1 Pokemon at a time.
Next, a few rules of my own:
~DQ: 1 week
~The order of who attacks first will be decided by the ref, as well.
~The arena is this:
Kilauea, Hawaii
The battle will take place in a massive stone crater that is relatively shallow, but with a narrow stream carved into one end. At the center of the crater is a pool of lava at least 50 feet wide; it empties into the stream, which is only about 10 feet wide at its widest. The lava flows down the stream, out of the crater and in between the rocks on the Hawaiian shoreline until it hits the ocean. One ether side of the rocks is sand, with some tropical plants a bit further down the beach, away from the insufferable heat of the volcano.
Despite the heat of the lava, Ice and Water attacks aren't weakened, nor are Fire attacks strengthened. Any Fire Pokemon that falls in the lava will not be burnt to death, by Heatran's mercy, but they will suffer anywhere between 1HP and 10HP of damage for each action they spend in the lava (For example, a Charizard or a Magmortar may take 1HP, whereas a Snover or a Paras would take 10HP, etc..). It takes one action to get out of the lava.
Where the lava and the ocean meet, scalding steam constantly erupts; contact with it may induce a Burn.
Both battlers begin inside the crater, beside the lava lake, on opposite sides of the 'stream.' Like a stream of water, a few rocks poke up from the lava. They can be used to cross the stream.
I'll be waiting... And may the better battler win.
