JESUS ISLAND
At about 2 PM, a group of helicopters was flying over the ocean. Their destination slowly appeared before them, then grew until those in the helicopter could make out detail.
The island stretched out before them. Perhaps it wasn't as big as it seemed, but the conflicting environments all in one place made it look incredibly large. A snowy field that bordered a tropical forest, that bordered on a large lake, which in turn bordered a rocky plane. In the center of the island was a large rock formation, surrounding several large buildings: The school itself. The helicopters slowed down, and made a noisy landing on the roof.
Students began to pile out of the helicopter, as a PA system began to give out instructions. "Assigned rooms are listed in the auditorium, which is immediately below you. Curfew is 10 PM. New students who don't have a Pokemon already, report to the gymnasium and you will be provided with an Island Ball and sent out to capture one." It went on in this vein for several minutes.
A black-haired boy, Tatsuya, looked to his white-haired sister. "Guess that's us." He grinned.
"Apparently." The sister, Hime, replied. The siblings went inside with the rest of the crowd.
The school's inside had one very noticable trait to it: It was very, very large. Even the hallways were at least ten feet taller than they really needed to be, likely to accomodate Pokemon walking the halls as well. Fortunately for the new students, there were maps posted every so often for students to look at to get their bearings.
The gym was impressive. It looked as though it had been made to withstand the force of twenty-odd Rhydons (and, in actuality, it had. The school does not allow Rhydon Football anymore, especially indoors.) and was very large. In the middle was a smiling man handing out balls, island maps, and giving instructions. He wore an odd robe, with a name tag reading 'Albireo' clipped to it. There was also a large line leading up to him.
Tatsuya and Hime finally made it to the front of the lines, where the man handed them each a Pokeball. "You only get one ball." He told them. "Don't try to sneak back into the line for a second, please. The ball is a guaranteed capture, so don't waste it. Staff will not tell you where any Pokemon are, as we believe we can figure it out yourselves. Though there are no truly dangerous Pokemon out right now available for capture, please do not attempt to pick a fight with anything, as we will not be held responsible for any injuries, no matter how severe. It's recommended you stay in small groups while searching in case of freak accidents or a Pokemon rampage."
The siblings walked away, slightly disconcerted. "Did he have to keep smiling like that while he talked about rampaging Pokemon?" Hime asked.
"Well, would you rather he looked evil and menacing while he talked about it?" Tatsuya pointed out.
"Point taken." She muttered. "Well, if we're supposed to be staying in groups for searching, I guess we'd better look for someone to join with us?"
Tatsuya began to whistle the music from an RPG that played when new people joined the party.
"Stop that and help me look." Hime told him. The two then went to the side of the gym with the most people to look for others.
