I came, I saw, I was changed

The first thing you notice when you wake up is that you're still alive and that you can see. The second thing is that you're in a hospital room. The third thing is that you're almost naked...and not in your proper body!

That's when the memories come flooding back. The abandoned warehouse, you and some friends from school, and a bunch of weird, alien technology...

It started with mild curiosity one day not long after summer vacation had started. You and a few of your friends were hanging out like you usually do, out in the edge of the city you all lived in. It was a good-sized city, wasn't too far from the ocean, and had lots of places in between to explore, including an old abandoned warehouse.

It had long been barred off with fences and barbed wire, so nobody had ever thought to explore further. But this one day someone in your little group notices a patch of fence that's not completely linked anymore. A couple people are apprehensive at first, but eventually a mild curiosity turned into an obsession to know what was in the building. So carefully you peel open the fence, make a good-sized hole, then sneak inside.

At first you're slightly disappointed; there's really nothing of interest in the building besides a lot of good hiding spots. But as you explore a little further, you start finding things, things that don't look human-made. Strange machines hooked up to other strange machines in strange ways, nothing that looks like anything you've ever seen, even in movies and on TV.

Suddenly someone finds the power switch and lights start coming on all throughout the room. That's when you see that it's not just a few machines, it's an entire command center. The power spreads to all the machines as well, activating them with weird noises and movements. A particularly loud humming seems to be coming from one particular machine...

Without warning, an explosion of sound comes from the machine, and it happens to be pointed right at everyone! A strange feeling of tingling and pinpricks covers your body, making it seem on fire and yet on ice at the same time. You also have the sensation of not having any bones in your body, even though you can still stand up.

Of course, while you're experiencing all this strangeness, the other machines are turning on as well, and suddenly electricity starts sparking from random machines. Noticing this, you make a move to get out of the building, despite feeling numb inside. But there's no time for escape and a chain-explosion starts in the room and catches up to you, knocking you unconscious.

The next thing you know, you're in the hospital, and not in your correct body. The doctors are glad to see you awake, and tell you you've been in a coma for about a week. They found your bodies miraculously uninjured from the explosion, even though it looked like any clothes you had worn were burned off judging by a few scraps that were discovered. You, however, are barely taking any of this in, and are simply noticing that your body's changed beyond any recognition.

That's when they tell you they couldn't find any ID on you, and that your fingerprints weren't on file anywhere. So the questions come, first about who you are and where you were from. Being unable to answer without raising suspicions, you fake amnesia. So then they test the extent of your amnesia, but pin it down to personal info only as you know the other simple questions they ask you.

Eventually they bring you to a room and leave you alone there with five others you don't recognize, but you find out that they're all your friends, just changed. Everyone eventually comes to the conclusion that they need to find a way to change back, but with the building and the technology inside destroyed, is that even possible anymore?

Grade Just Graduated: Junior
Gender: Male
Appearance: Tall, lanky, short-ish messy brown hair, green eyes; wears boring jeans-and-tee combos almost all the time.
Personality: Slightly depressed overall, though he gets through life with a positive hope for the future. Likes to make friends with the hope that they'll be able to help him through life, though he only has a handful of them at present.
History: Overall has not had much of a good life with what has been thrown his way. He keeps losing jobs, can't keep a relationship going, and doesn't have that good of a social life. Two reasons keep him from just ending his life; first he was raised to learn that killing is wrong, but that killing oneself is doubly wrong, and second he has high hopes that the future may just bring something good his way.

Name: Katharine (Kat) Randar
Gender: Female
Appearance: Shorter than before, Kat stands around 5'6" with a skinny yet slightly toned build, 34B bust (much to her back's relief), and with a fair complexion. Her hair is natural pure blond (not dirty), is straight, and reaches to her shoulder-blades (with no bangs). Her eyes have become a light blue in color, and unless she's furious or absolutely upset they're always bright.
For clothes, Kat is amazed at the wide variety of options for styles of clothes she now has, and finds it surprisingly easy to get comfortable in even the most "girlish" of outfits. Somehow she can figure out good combinations based on the kinds of things she had seen on other girls before, even though she's still new to the 'girl clothes' thing.
Personality: While this wasn't exactly the kind of change she had in mind as Mike, she still sees it as a possibility for much better things. With no past history on her about any problems, she feels she can put everything behind her. She is really cheerful pretty much all of the time, rarely getting mad or sad.
