Karen: Hmm there's certainly a lot to explore, I assure you.

Pancake: It never seemed that big to me. I almost wanted to go for a sort of comic-book style with this fic, and instead of big chapters, posting little 4 page bits here and there. For example, one update would be the scene with Milo and the Guards outside Goldenrod. One could be a training session. I really wanted to explore the idea of a non-chapter, but didn't want to take such a big creative risk on this project.

Eventually I went for what works for my writing style; quite satisfying chapter lengths, and plenty of plot twists :p



Hope you guys can all hang tight since I won't be posting Chapter 10 for a while. I'm writing 11 but haven't had much done. The fic spends quite some time in Goldenrod, and it's all very action-packed. It sorta has the vibe of a spy-thriller or something. I also had a peculiar dream last night involving Jake singing a musical number - I think the tepid British heat is getting to me.

Anyone like the sound of a Jake musical? XD
