A new Pokémon has finally entered! Glyph has replaced his fallen with his Gastly, Noir! The floating ball of gas looks around at the sun with disdain, but it's not gonna affect her battling enough to worry about.

Noir is out to avenge her fallen comrade (how cliché), and collects a ball of shadows which she hurls at the bouncing Spoink. It splats into her, but Spoink just stays bouncing and relaxes herself to have enough energy.
Noir decides to stick to a good move, and hurls another ball of shadows. Spoink gets hit once more, and decides to stop this monotony. She starts filling Noir's mind with tormenting thoughts, and Noir can't help but get infuriated by them.
With the thoughts still fresh in her mind, Noir can't muster up the will to use the same move, so instead she lashes out and gives Spoink a little whack. Spoink responds by blasting a huge Psychic attack, which Noir definitely does not like.
