Ugdagah Kek Tura
Barbarian Shaman
Chamber Room
“When the land is angered, it lashes out.”
“What happens?”
“Nothing remains.”

Ug held the egg carefully in his free hand. The raiders and their shadow servants were vanquished, and his axe was placed back into its sheath strapped along his back. A spell of fire's anger and rage had cooled off as the shaman checked on the egg.

There was not a scratch on it. Blood speckled the outer covering, and Ug feared the mother may not take the egg back. He had never known the mother to reject her offspring, but then again, they had never seen her so enraged when the egg was taken.

Something was wrong though. It wasn't the egg, it was fine. A feeling, like a deep darkness slinking away from the light, slowly working its way as the light fades. He couldn't sense the feeling exactly. His ties were to the elements, their emotions and feelings ran through him, a power that he understood on a fundamental level.

The other people standing around inside the chamber didn't pay him any mind. They were more content to talk amongst themselves, and he was fine with that. He cradled the egg between his arm and his chest. Keeping it warm and safe as he walked outside of the bloodstained chamber.

He was given a wide birth, as his frame dwarfed everyone else. Ugdagah wasn't paying attention to the smaller folk. They were small, weak, and scared. Like rats they would scatter at the presence of a larger predator looming over them.

Soul brother, he felt the voice as much as he heard it in his mind. Have you saved the little one? It was Erak, his dragon-mate.

Your brood brother is safe, I am returning with the egg. Prepare to return...

Ug stopped in his thought and step. He heard the elements. Earth was cowering, shrinking away like a scared child. Air was standing still, afraid. Even fire's rage was gone, replaced with a feeling the shaman had never felt the element express. Fear.

Soul brother... Erak continued. There was worry in his voice as well.

A smaller human shouted, and even Ug looked up, clutching the egg tigher. Something was coming through the calm sky, roaring down upon the city like an omen. It started to shake, before breaking into several parts. Every single one heading for the city.

“ERAK!” Ug bellowed as he ran to a clear area for his dragon brother to land. The crimson scaled beast was there in seconds, landing and using his wings for balance. Ug ran to Erak, placing the egg in the dragon's smaller fore-limbs which clutched the air greedily before he placed the egg firmly in his claws. “Be fast. Fly home. Return your brood brother.”

What of you? I will not leave you to die. the dragon protested.

“Fool! Save your brother. You cannot carry us both. I have survived the Trials of the Mountain, I will survive this. Return.”

Don't die.

Ug took the head of Erak and gave him a light headbutt. A sign of affection the two shared. Rearing back, the dragon spread his wings before a mighty flap started to lift him up and away. The barbarian watched his dragon-mate for a few seconds before he started running.

People were panicking as they saw the flying shape break up and loom faster to Sith. Small pieces started to crash into the city, one obliterating a stand. Leaving nothing but a crater and smoke. Larger pieces tore through buildings as easily as Ug could breathe. The city was turning into one of death and destruction while hell rained down.

Earth was screaming in pain and fear, crawling back and leaving the ground bare. Ug couldn't focus the elements, they were afraid. So afraid that their cries mixed in with the panicked crowd in a chorus of pain, death, loss, and horror.

Screeching, the pieces falling from the heavens came in with a sharp, shril sound, before crashing into the ground, a structure, or someone. Each time ending in a zip-POP, Whooo-BOOM, or a Shiiiu ending in a death cry.

Larger pieces were starting to fall around Ug as he made his way through the crowd and the abandoned market place. Something slammed into the ledge above, causing rocks and fire to rain down behind him. Through the chaos, the confusion, the death, Ug had his destination. His mind was set on getting out of the city and to the trees. However the forest's edge was still far away.

A sound, a warning, something urged Ug to glance up as a large rock fell where he was going to run. Quickly he dug his heels into the ground, slowing his momentum seconds before the rock hit. The barbarian was knocked back from a powerful shock wave as the heat and energy threatened to flay his skin. He pushed himself up, black smoke rising from the crater as dirt fell from being knocked up into the sky. That way was no longer safe, while more rocks were falling from the sky.

Quickly Ug glanced around, and noticed a small group of people running off in another direction. He didn't know where they were running to, but they were running none the less on another path. Ug started running, his feet stomping into the ground as he threw himself forward, taking in large breaths of air as he ran forward.

He recognized some of the people in the group, the knight from the battle in the chamber room. He stabbed the raider that had tried to attack Ug. Another that had fought the shadow creature. Along with a young woman dressed in white robes and a female umbra. Ug caught up with them as carts and buildings exploded around them from the impacts.

“Where do you run?!” Ug shouted above the sounds of death and destruction. Speaking the common language was difficult, and translation was not any of Ug's specialties.

“Ahead. A plateau. Safety be there.” the umbra replied in their unusual fashion.

Ug looked ahead, and saw that the path was being blocked by a combination of fleeing people and turned over carts.

“Follow!” Ug ran faster, ahead of the group, getting in front and readying his arms. People were knocked or swatted out of the way as he rammed into the blockade, and bursting through the other side, clearing the way. He staggered a few steps before regaining his traction and continuing to run in front of this new group, knocking any obstruction out of the way or smashing through it.

I was so tempted to have Leeryl talk with a Pirate Accent.

“Arrg. There safety be. Arr, a pirate's life for me.”

XD Just a silly thought.
