Everything past Geometry isn't required for life skills. Unless you want to be a mathematician or engineer, you don't need it. I'm thinking of taking Business Math And Statistics over the next two years instead of Pre-Cal and Calculus. Only problem is, I need both Pre-Cal and Calculus for college.
