Default Steam and Gears (SIGN UPS)

    War Declared!

The Empire of Gelpheera has launched an invasion against our proud nation of Teslon! The time has come for us to fight for our freedom!
We shall defeat this emperial menace!

    Steam and Gears

The nation of Gelpheera has become known throughout the years as a military power. Ever expanding, Gelpheera has gone through constant military compaigns, conquering it's smaller neighbours, to the point where it has begun to call itself an empire. The reason for this constant expansion is relatively unknown, as the higher ups in the military and ruling family are tight-lipped about it. As far as the world is concerned, The Empire is just a power hungry nation, continuously invading and conquering until it will eventually conquer the world.

Every nation that the Empire fought against fought bravely, but eventually fell to the massive resources of Gelpheera. Now, three years after it's most recent victory, the Empire is once again on the march, this time it's eyes are focused on the small mountainous nation of Teslon. Naturally, despite being smaller and weaker than the mighty Empire, Teslon will not go down without a fight.

And now, weapons are primed, airships take to the skies, and every man and woman is called to defend their homeland. From the most hardened soldier, to the lowest citizen, anyone can influence the future, and in this time of war, that is more true than ever.

And here it is, a steampunk RPG of (hopefully) epic proportions. Before we get onto the sign ups, allow me to explain a couple of things:

    What is Steampunk?
Steampunk can be summed up as "The future in the past". In a victorian/Industrial Revolution style setting, Steampunk takes the period's prime forms of technology, steam power and clockwork, and reaches to whole new levels of advancement. From airships powered by steam, to clockwork robots, any level of technology is possible in a steampunk environment. Want your character to have a robotic limb? It's perfectly legal here. If you have any questions about anything you'd like to try, just pm me and I can help out.

Now for some info on our two sides:

    Teslon
A small nation, pridominantly covered in mountain ranges, the majority of this nation's cities are built upon and even within said mountains. The rich amount of ore in the earth has also made this nation one of the world leaders in terms of mining and metalurgy. It's western border is on the ocean, and while it does accept trade by sea, it's main form of trade, and even military are air based, as it's terrain makes land combat a bit tricky. For simplicity's sake, to begin with characters will be on this side of the conflict.

    Gelpheera
A war-like nation, grown into a large empire from many military conquests, Gelpheera has grown into a massive military power, and one that now has it's sights on Teslon. Due to it's war-like nature, Gelpheera has a bit of a fearsome reputation around the world and needless to say there's little love for it outside of the empire. There have even been some resistance movements within the empire itself, though these haven't seemed to have hampered the Empire's progress in the slightest. A powerful and frightening enemy for our heroes to battle.

    -Gilder Myrrh: Shadow Wolf

And now, for the part you've all be waiting for!

    Sign Ups!

    Name:

    Age:

    Gender:

Occupation: From a soldier, to a lowly street sweep, you matter people!

Appearance: Remember, Victorian/Industrial Revolution era clothing.

    Personality:

Weapon(s): From some advanced gun of terror, to a simple wrench. Go nuts.

History: I'd like a little detail with this, but don't go too nuts with this, unless I find it entertaining.

Relations: Because it can help if you know somebody.

Other: Please refrain from hurting the other.

    And here be mine:

    Name: Vanilla Colemyer

    Age: 24

    Gender: Male

    Occupation: Miner

Appearance: Vanilla can be described as a rugged, yet somewhat strapping young man. He bears a lean, yet slightly muscular build, toned by years of hard work. His skin is a bit pale, from spending most of his time underground, but more often than not he's a bit grubby from work, so it might be hard to tell. His hair is a short mess of brown, reaching down to his chin, and a bit dirty, again from working underground. His face has a youthful quality to it, with vibrant green eyes.

For clothing, Vanilla tends to wear what one would expect from a worker. A dusty, white cotten shirt, and a pair of brown, dirty pants with patches all along the legs. A pair of crusty boots, and a matching pair of brown gloves. He wears an old, white bandana around his neck, and a pair of thick goggles, normally resting on his forehead. During cold weather, he tends to wear an old, brown coat, but never while he's working.

Personality: Vanilla is a bit of a simple, happy go lucky sort of individual. Being of the lower class and a simple miner, he's not really one for an advanced education. This doesn't mean he's an idiot, just don't expect him to follow major scientific lingo and such. He does have his smarts. He's good at identifying metals and minerals, is very good at moving underground, and due to working with a steam drill, he does have minor skill with steam machines, mainly in repairing and maintaining.

He's a laid back, and very friendly individual, but don't mistake him for a pushover. Working in the mines means you have to be tough, and he can get tough when the pressure's on. He feels most at home underground, and so is a bit uncomfortable when it comes to being in the air. He prefers to keep his feet firmly on the ground thank you very much. He's a pretty easy guy to get along with, and if one can get on his good side, and can make a firm and loyal friend.

Weapon(s): Steam Drill - A large, hand held drill, powered by steam. Excellent for boaring into bedrock, as well as other hard materials. A very damaging weapon in the hands of someone who can use it. Some like, oh, I don't know, a miner.

History: Vanilla was born into a lower class family of miners. His father was a miner, and his father's father, and so on and so forth. So, it was only natural for him to follow in his father's footsteps. Ever since the age of twelve, he would sometimes go down into the mines to watch his father, and since the age of fourteen, has been tought the art of digging and mining effectively. This now puts him in the business for about ten years now. A simple life, but one he's become used to and loved. Hanging out with his co-workers at quitting time, digging tunnels for ore, and hollowing out caverns for city extensions, Vanilla has worked on many projects. Due to his low statues and humble work, Vanilla has had little experience with high society, and even less experience in the air. After all, man was born on the ground, so why would they go into the air? When the war between Teslon and Gelpheera broke out, all it really meant for Vanilla was an increase in work, nothing really out of the ordinary. The war overall didn't really have an effect on him...until now.

    Relations: None for now

Other: Mine is the drill that will pierce the heavens!
