The Midnight Hour - RL v. Oslo [Ref: Grey]
Alright, gents and ladies, I'm opening up a new gym since the Elite 4 dealie never got off the ground. I need two battlers to duke it out and see if this gym's worth it's time.
It's dark. Very dark, in fact. Light comes from only five white orbs on each side, and having them destroyed will only lower the visibility further. The orbs are quite durable, however, so it will take quite a few attacks before they bust. Each time an orb is destroyed on your side, your visibility will be lowered by 10 percent until there is only a 50 percent chance of even your most accurate moves hitting their marks.
In addition to that little detail, there are also four mounds of ditto clay on each side -- each mound is designed to reshape itself into the first pokémon that attacks it, making a nearly identical clone of that pokémon with only 10HP, making it even harder to tell which pokémon is which.
The battles here will always be 3-on-3, but there's a twist. The challenger (in this case, the first poster) will choose a team of six pokémon that may or may not participate. Then the next challenger (second poster) will choose their own team of six. Once the two teams have been revealed, they will then PM the referee the three pokémon they wish to use in the battle.
The three pokémon will then battle each other at once, but you will still only be able to use three attacks per round. The three attacks don't have to come from the same pokémon, nor do they have to come from each pokémon. Choose your attacks carefully.
In this battle arena, the use of Double Team is greatly advised against. The white orbs have nasty habit of shooting a beam of light into any pokémon with a twin, causing light (but destructive, nonetheless) damage to the offender and destroying the clones outright.
