Shinies SEEM to be more common in R/S. I encounered a Shiny Mainan (but had no pokeballs for it ;.

and I have a Shiny Subame

heck, Pokerus seems to be super common nowadays...

how can they be common? are you playing the rom or something?
ive been playing for 38 hours 23 minutes, and i havent seen a shining pokemon or gotten pokerus yet. come to think of it, the only shining pokemon ive ever seen was the gyarados from gsc.

I found a shiny racoon pokemon. Instead of having brown stripes, it had red. I was quite disappointed, but hey, shiny is shiny.

Meowth's pokedex had the pictures of all shiny pokemon. Unfortunately, its down.

Shiny Mainan lookd very similar to normal Mainan, but the blue is more cobalt-bluish...

And shiny Subame also looks more green-blue than normal subame.

I think shiny Habuneeku looks the best

And shiny Charizard (black) and shiny Rekkuzza (also black). Oh, and shiny Latios XD I just like the colour.

Shiny Deokishisu looks cool.

I found its picture in an online Pokedex whose name I've recently forgotten... but anyway, Deokxy looks yellow, and some other colors. Definitely a good looking sprite.

Hmmm, I caught a Shiny Phanpy once. I was REALLY glad!
I only have the pix now though.. the game I had Shiny Phanpy in is overwriten by my newer game, started w/ Mudkip and now trying on E4...

Phanpy, when shiny, is just brighter.. sort of silver. that's about it. unless there are more kinds of shines for him..?

I think Phanpy (in GSC neway) were a silver colour, with red bits on their ears instead of orange. They lookd prety cool, IMHO.

Shiny Azurill is a nice minty green colour...sweeeet! and shiny Sabonea is like toffee brown and dark brown, he looks pretty wkd!!!!

Chirrin is a pretty cool green colour, with an orange stripe ^^. What a weird Pokemon she is! Isn't she modelled off a windchime?

Man, every time a thread for this topic is posted, I get all jealous and crud... jealousy does not suit me.

But anyway, for those of you who aren't sick of this story yet, I have only ever gotten a Shiny Magikarp (and the Gyarados, obviously). That's just the most pathetic thing I think has ever happened to me Pokémon-wise, even counting the time Stadium 2's memory was reset by accident (that angered me to no end!).

I now have a shiny Kinokoko. However, his stats were just *slightly* better than that shiny Sabonea I caught.

I found a shiny Bellsprout once, on my Gold. I also had a female Mr. Mime in the same game. But..........

They got deleted when I tried to use the duplication code!!!

About the pink/red Lugia. Both of you are extremely lucky. I have no theory about the different colors. Sorry! <sees people giving pokefreak04 "the look"> Shuting up..........now!

shiny Bellosom
shiny Hoppip-->Skiploom
shiny Spinarak.

I believe they've romanized some of the names, e.g. Absol, Plusol...

I still have mah Shiny Subame $:\$ In my Gold I had a shiny Piloswine, Ursaring, Nidoqueen and one more which just slipped my mind... >_< (No, not Gyarados!) But I didn't get pokerus

here I got Pokerus after visiting the shoal cave the first time, and I bumped into 2 shinies (caught 1, told about already).

I have 700+ hours of playing time (all versions added) and never found a shiny except for 5 red gyarados.
