Mario Kart RPG: The Path to Destruction (START! LSUs appreciated)

Right then. Reposting the plot...

Most of us know Bowser, that scourge of the Mushroom Kingdom. Yet, when he's racing or playing Tennis and the like, he's an all-around nice guy. Or is he? It's about a year after Bowser tried to steal the Star Rod in Paper Mario. Bowser had just competed in a Mario Kart Grand Prix over Rainbow Road (Mario Kart GBA), and upon being the last to finish, he gets ticked. He jumps out of his kart and stomps once at the Road, when he hears a small *crack*. When he looks down, he notices that there's a small crack in the road, and if he looks closely in the teeny hole, he sees what appears to be movement. Yet, the road is transparent, and he can't see anything moving outside of the hole. He decides to take matters into his own hands.

Soon, he finds himself back at the home of the Star Spirits, and easily steals the Star Rod from under their noses. He takes the Rod to his castle, and eyes the teeny Rainbow Road in the distance. "Now to find out what you're hiding!" He then aimed the Rod at the Road and fired a massive Star Beam at it, blowing it into pieces! Yet, the Star Rod disappeared from his hands during the huge explosion! When he looks at where the road was once floating, he notices that there's a huge hole in it's place, and what looks like another realm beyond it. Soon, little critters, Arwings, bombs and boomerangs, and other strange characters fall into the Mushroom Kingdom.

Bowser beams at what he had done. "Now that I know what's beyond that Road, I can conqour other worlds easily-- OOF!" A big-sized piece of the Road fell through the window and onto his cranium. When he touched the piece, Bowser saw images of what would happen if the Road was not repaired.

Apparently, Rainbow Road was the connection between all the Nintendo realms which would have Star Fox, Kirby, Link, PokeMon, and even Sonic in several different realms! With the Road gone, the realms would merge, and the balance of the realms would be upset! If this unbalance was not corrected soon, the realms would collide and destroy them all!

Meanwhile, Mario was busy setting up for another Grand Prix, when he noticed the Road had exploded.He then noticed Bowser strolling up to him. Mario stopped waxing his kart, and gave Bowser a cross look. "And What-a do you want?" Bowser gave Mario a sly smile. "You noticed the explosion, didn't you? Well, guess what? The pieces of Rainbow Road have been scattered ALL OVER THE PLACE! If you can't retrieve them all, and repair them using the Star Rod, You are all DOOMED! And I don't have them! Other baddies and bosses have the pieces!" Bowser pointed determinedly at Mario. "I challenge you to a series of Grand Prix's of Mario Kart! Whoever wins in First place, Second Place, and Third place gets to go to the boss of that Grand Prix! The bosses have a piece each! Whoever beats them, good or bad, earns the piece! But... if I get even one piece... You will never see it again, and this world shall perish!"

Mario looked at Bowser, bewildered. Then he remembered the strange critters he saw falling from the sky. "Hmm... And anyone can join?" Bowser nodded. "Anyone! But I doubt you'll find ANY decent racers! I have the best! You won't win this time, Mario!" And with that, Bowser stormed off.

Mario looked at the sky, wondering what was going to happen to everyone. Would he be able to retrieve the pieces of the Road? Would he be able to stop Bowser from dooming everyone in the realm? Will he be able to reconstruct the Path to Destruction? Only YOU will decide!

He and his two bumbling cohorts were always out to capture Pikachu, which had always seemed like an impossible task. Well, if Meowth thought that had seemed impossible, he hasn't seen nothin' yet until he gets onto the race track of the Mushroom Kingdom!

~Sonic The Hedgehog~

Ah! What a day it was for running! The skies were clear... The temperature was warm... Eggman was attacking the forest... Everything was normal! Until today...

I was doing a routine run-around, when I spotted Eggman in Leaf Forest. He was using a Hammer Mech on anything around him, destroying everything in his path to try and find a Chaos Emerald, as usual. When he had spotted me, he revved into reverse and took off! Well, naturally, I followed. Suddenly, whether it was right in front of him, or behind him, a huge black hole appeared, and unable to stop myself, I ran in. The next thing I know, I find myself in a strange place during the night... I can look up now, and see a huge hole, and I can see my home! And other strange worlds... I don't know what the hell is going on, but all I know is that I gotta get back to stop Eggman! I can see a mustachioed figure next to what looks like a go-cart. I'll ask him where I am..

You won't believe what's happened to me! So there I was, hiding in the bushes with my two pals Jesse and James, about to make an attack on the twerp and his Pikachu, when suddenly, I fall into this hole, see! When I wake up, it's night time, and I'm in this weird place I had never seen before! My bumbling idiots-- I mean, friends were nowhere to be seen, and I found out I was all alone! Just myself to fend against the cruel world! Er.. right about now, I can see some blue creature running towards a man in overalls.. I think I'll investigate! Maybe it's a new PokeMon! As I look up, I can see a huge rip with lotsa different places inside of it. Weird!

I wandered the forests of Hyrule, aimlessly, looking for something to do. Anything would have been appreciated... Ever since I had returned from Termina, life had become calm...routine to the point of being boring. I needed something exciting, something to get the adrenaline flowing. That was why I was in the forests that day. The Kokiri children had been fussing because one of their newest arrivals had gone and darted into the woods, and they all feared he might turn into a Stalfos, or skeleton. There was no sign of him yet.

What's that? A noise in the bushes, to the left... They had thorns, but I ignored them as they tore into my deep-green tunic, trying to shove them aside. Behind them, I found not a child, not a Stalfos, not even a Deku scrub. Instead I saw what appeared to be ... a giant hole? What the hell? Curious, I walked closer to it, feeling somehow drawn inside, to whatever was beyond. With no second thoughts, I crawled into the pitch-black rift.

Now where was I? It definately wasn't any of the lands I had visited before. It looked nothing like Termina, and the only thing remotely Hyrule-like was the castle in the distance. I drew my sword and shield. Whatever awaited in this world, I wanted to be ready.

Well, Bowser had really done it this time. The big oaf of a turtle went and broke the Rainbow Road. NOW what's gonna happen? Sighing, I try to venture outside to see what the aftermath looks like, but two Toad-guards stop me as I walk downstairs.

"Princess! It's dangerous! You must stay inside!" they insist, trying to push me back up the stairs. I fight against them, trying to get past.

"I'll be all right. I won't go very far, just down the road a bit. That won't be very dangerous, will it?" I reasoned, knowing they'd give in if that's what they thought. They indeed did, and I wandered outside, staring upwards at the sky once I'm in the open air. It looked like...creatures were falling... I stood, frozen in place. It was definately an odd sight. I just hoped these...people?...were willing to help with the Rainbow Road, and that they were friendly...

I was stood there. Right in front of it. The star rod... It will finally be taken back to it's rightfull owner in Dreamland where it will be safe for ever.
I reached out. I pulled my hand (if you can call it a hand) back as if it were being electrified. I sighed and calmed myself. You're going back as a hero... Don't stop now! Get it and go!
I was about to take it when i fell. But wait... There aren't any holes here! Was this some kind of joke? I the hero here! I'm not ment to fall down holes that come out of no where!
I landed face first on top of some guy with his sword out.
My first thought was that i had to eat him. Natural defences, of course. I opened my mouth and sucked him in. I stole his hat and special powers before spitting him back out again.
"Hey! What did ya do that for?" The elf shouted.
"Defence. By the way, i like the hat! It suits me, don't you think?" I said, pulling out my sword and looking at myself.
"How do you do that?"
"I dunno. Hey! Cool bow and arrow!" I said excitedly, taking it out.
"Who are you?"
"Kirby. You?"
"Link."
Something blocked the sun and a shadow cast over us.

I sat in the tree as usual and picked out a banana. It was my tree after all and it did have my bananas on it. That's what i thought anyway...
The tree gave way and i fell. I noticed that I was about to land on someone. I began beating my chest screaming "ahhhhhh!" to warn them. They must of been deaf or something cos they didn't move.
I landed on top of them. There was this big annoying thud that shook the whole of Mushroom Kingdom.
"Get off me!"
"Damn... I can't eat him... Better think of something..."
I got up. "Me sorry... Me DK. Me fell from tree and landed on top of you..." I explained. I wish i could speak the way i think... It makes me seem so stupid...

But this time instead of hurling fireballs he will be hurling red and green shells.

Me and my brother Luigi were talking about Bowser's newest scheme when we noticed in the sky at Rainbow Road there was a hole and alot of people were coming down through the hole into and around Mushroom Kingdom. Luigi goes off to investigate. I was about to leave to when what seemed like a blue hedgehog. Also I see a cat coming toward us.I don't know what there doing here so I decided to go over and meet them.

As I was talking to my brother Mario we noticed the big hole in the sky near Rainbow Road. I decided to investigate the mushroom kingdom. As I am walking to there, I notice a Monkey, a Pink thing, and a green Swordsman. "Werid I thought. I decide to go and talk to the pink thing and the guy with the sword to see what they are doing here.

Bio: Toad is a control freak, frequently the organizing events in Mushroom Kingdom and often playing mediator between the inhabitants. His love of being incharge and in control makes him a very comptetive. Happy to take part in this challange as opposed to organizing it, he's promised to give it his %110 to try and come out on top.
Other: He can be random at times in order to shake things up a little, and although he loves to win he also likes helping the little guys in last.

I had been look through all the pages full of problems between member of Mushroom Kingdom that I need to address when several of the rather large piles fell over. I couldn't believe it! I had had them all organized by person an- that's when I realized I hadn't careless bumped my desk. The ground had moved.
I rushed out side as quickly as I could only to discover a few new and unusual face popping up. Who were these people? Where'd they come from? Most importantly, how many new problems is this going to create?
Not wasting another moment I took off to find another fellow inhabitant of Mushroom Kingdom.

I ran up to what appeared to be a plumber.. I looked around, and noticed that a strange cat-like creature was running up as well.. I turned to the pudgy plumber. "Yo! You, the plumber with the red cap! I'm Sonic The Hedgehog! What the hell is going on here?"

That blue thing beat me to the red man. Oh well! I walked up as he was saying something...

"Yo! You, the plumber with the red cap! I'm Sonic The Hedgehog! What the hell is going on here?"

He didn't seem happy. But neither was I.

"Yeah!" I walked up to them. "I was mindin' my own business, and here I am, in some different place! What happened?!"

That Road is waht kept all of our relams separate, but know with the road broken, everyone from every other relam is falling into Mushroom Kingdom. So until the hole is fixed, your stuck here."

It was a sunny day, the wind was blowing a refreshing breeze. I sat, perched ontop of a Apple Tree's branch, eating an apple.Slowly though, since I didn't want to choke on it..I was to young to die.

"Pikkaaa."I smiled, It tasted sweeter than normal, and the trainer that let me eat the apples let me have some to eat.

Suddenly, the light winds became a team of violent gusts...Like if a Pigeotto had blown them thereselfs.The gust's blew down on the tree, and in response...the leaves fell off. I looked below only to find a black hole..

It's sucking force was great, I couldn't hold onto the branch for much longer. My apple fell out of my mouth and into the black abyss. I looked at it...and thats when it's pull was to great..


I got sucked in.

I woke up on a cold, dirty ground...The sound of chatter arose around me, and my cheeks started to feel warm..Something was wrong...very wrong.

"Pikaa..."I muttered, getting up on my 2 little feet slowly, but surely. I saw some scary looking pokemon here. Some blue thing(Sonic),some weird looking lady with blonde hair(Peach)...A thing that looked dumber than a Primeape(Donkey Kong)..A Meowth. Some dude with a sword, some guy with a ugly mustache and a bear bellythat made him look like a Snorlax(Mario).

Color Kart: A very navy blue, with read flame patterns stenciled around the wheels, a large spoiler at the back and monster sixed wheels at the rear. Or just Dark blue..

Bio: (Haven't played Star Fox Adventures, so i'll bluff this from what I do know) After the Star Fox team took off to survey the space around DInosaur Planet, Falco left on some business of his own, a call came in from his old friend Cat relating to an problem on Zoness. He played the hero for a while and arrived back at Dinosaur planet just in time to help Fox win the battle with Andross. After that he rejoined the SF team and only shortly afterwards found themselves falling through the rift. Faced with odds like they'd never seen before, Slippy patched together some Karts and the rest, only time will tell.
Other: Doesn't trust Slippy's engineering, but who does?

Falco Lombardi

Applying another layer of Wax over my sparkling clean Arwing, a shudder ran through the ship. I ignored it, shudders weren't uncommon traveling through space. I smiled, brining a shine to the Arwing so bright I could see my face in it. As I leabed in closer, the ship suddenly lurched forward and everything tipped onto one side, including me and the Arwing.
"ROB!!" I yelled, at the robot in control of the ship. Gravity in the hanger immediatly deactivated, and the Arwing floated away, instead of crashing into me. The ship came to a grinding halt, crashing into the ground and getting peirced through the side by a large peice of landscape.
"ROB, what happened?" I shouted, as Gravity returned to normal and I regained my balance.
"Unknown. An anomoly opened in space and thee ship was pulled in. Shields disabled and emergancy landing preceedures took over."
"Yeah I noticed that.." I mumbled
"Hey look out there!" Came the ear slplitting wail from Slippy the 'engineer'"
"Dammit Slippy, do you have to do that all the time?" He ignored me and ran up to the hanger doors that were opening.



Character: Slippy Toad
Game: Star Fox (Lylat Wars)
Color Kart: Like a bubble car, with big round wheels and a green paint job.
Weight: **** (He's a fat toad)

Bio: While Fox was galavanting around on Dinosaur Planet, picking fights with lizards and chatting up furry ladies, Slippy was left alone to tinker with the electronics. After being locked up by ROB until Fox returned, Slippy was faced with the daunting task of building Karts.
Other: Delusional, but a nice guy deep down (Clinically insane and causes more trouble than he stops though)

"Hey, this planet is inhabited, look there's buildings everywhere, and ooh, other people look here!"
Falco came up behind and growled, but stopped when he saw the others.
"Come on." I said, running out, he shrugged and followed slowly behind.
"Hey, hey there!" I yelled, before I suddenly tripped and fell flat on my face. "Ouch, oh that hurt. Um. Hey hello?"
A blue furred Hedgehog turned to face me and he looked up and down assessing who I was.
"Who are you?"
"Slippy Toad, Chief Engineer aboard the Great Fox. This is Falco Lombardi, One of the main pilots of the Star Fox team."
"Shut up Slippy."
"The name's Sonic, this here is my buddy Tails" he poited to the orange furred Fox beside him. "And these two guys are.."

I was still rather confused about what was going on, but it appeared I had not come to any harm. The inhabitants seemed friendly enough, if rather odd-looking, if the talking pink blob in front of me was any example. My opinion of the creature wasn't heightened any when it went and ate me. Then, to make matters worse, a giant monkey, of all things, landed on top of me. This was so turning out not to be my day.

"It's okay, er..DK. Just don't do it again, okay?" I half-smiled, then decided t get down to business. "So, would anyone care to tell me what the hell this place is?" I asked, looking around. I noticed some other people as well: a couple of weird guys in overalls, a talking cat, and a strange blue guy. "And who are all these people?"

Kirby shrugged, tossing his newly-copied boomerang up in the air. "You think I know? I just got here, and I don't even know how that happened."

I sighed, putting my sword back in its sheath. Obviously, getting information was going to be harder than I had originally believed.

I kept wandering down the path, noticing more and more people falling from the sky. It was very curious, watching living beings rain down upon the land, and it made me wonder how they could not get hurt. It seemed like a long ways to fall!

Some of the new arrivals seemed more harmless than others, so I decided to look for a few of the more innocent ones. As I gazed around, I saw something that almost looked like a yellow mouse. "How cute," I smiled, and headed towards it.

Bio: He's the guardian of the Master Emerald. He's fought along Sonic against Eggman for many years, despite the fact that they don't like each other very much. Now that the Rainbow Road has been damaged, he must use all the speed he can muster to save his world, and every other world.

Bio: Greedy, greedy, greedy! He'll do just about anything to get what he wants. He's a big oaf with a short temper. He only cares about two things: money and winning. He wants revenge on Bowser. Although he can get in a lot of trouble and pain, he has the endurance to get up and keep going (no matter how bad he hurts). Oh yeah, and he hates Mario. It's usually every man for himself when it comes to him.
Other: Always hides a stash of gold in his pockets.

"Two thousand and one, two thousand and two..." I counted gleefully as I counted my gold coins. The last treasure hunt I returned from was very successful. I was about to reach into my bag for more gold coins when a big earthquake started and ruined my stacks. I stormed outside to find out whoever was the cause of it. That's when I noticed the big hole in the sky. And the things falling out of it. I'll find the bastard who did it there!

I ran to where those things were falling. There were some strange creatures: a pink puff (Kirby), a yellow rat(Pikachu), a blue something(Sonic), and...

"MARIO!!! YOU DID IT!!!" I roared, grabbing the plumber by the collar of his shirt.

"Did what?" he said, confused.

"You ruined my good day! My pretty gold all stacked up and you had to start up that earthquake and make it tumble!" I drew my fist back, ready to pummel him.

"I didn't do it, you idiot!" he yelled.

"Who did?"

"Bowser."

I dropped the shrimp. My day just got worse. I kicked the nearest creature that I could find, which was the yellow rat, and immediately felt a burst of pain. The thing shocked me!

I looked over at the Rainbow Road. It kinda reminded me of home. The whole Rainbow-ness.
I watched the guy with a W on his hat trying to beat up the guy called "Mario". I decided, for the sake of experimenting, to eat the W guy.
"Hiiiiii!" I yelled, loosing the hat.
"Ummm... Hi?" Said the W person.
I opened my mouth and ate him, spitting him back out at a tree.
I got out my sword again and admired myself.
"You're hat ain't as pretty as Link's..."

ARGH! That stupid Ape SAT ON ME! I hope he got what he deserved! I stood up, and brushed myself off. Knuckles and my buddy Tails were here. That was a huge relief to me. I thought I was all alone here. Suddenly, something tugged my tail. I looked down, and saw that cat creature. "What do you want?" I asked it.

I tugged the blue thing's tail. "Hey! Are you a PokeMon? If you are, then you got trouble--" Suddenly, he picked me up and started PETTING me! "Aww! What a cute little kitty cat!" He then laughed at me. I wriggled from his grip, and repeated my question. He gave me a confused look and shrugged. "PokeMan? What's that?" I gave him an aggravated look. What an idiot! "PokeMON, not MAN." Geez, this guy wasn't getting it. There are sure a lotta weirdos around here...

Toad neared a rapidly forming group of people. There sure one some odd looking ones. Blue and spikey, blue and fluffy, even some yellow sparking one. Where was everybody coming from though?
He sratched his mushroom head.

This was going nowhere. Everyones just confused. I shouted at the top of my lungs"EVERYBODY TO THAT BUILDING" I was pointing to the mushroom kingdom.

Toad frowned slightly. Since when was Mario in charge here? He was the one organizing things usually while Mario went starry eyed over Peach. Oh well. .
Pushing his way past serveral unfamiliar faces he made his way to the building. He was just as confused and curious as anyone else so anyway to get answers would be nice.

He said head to the castle in the distance. Heh! I'd be there before everybody else! So I took off running towards the castle in the distance, noticing the crowd of oddities behind replace their confused looks with looks of awe at my speed, along with Tails and Knuckles speed, who were now behind me.

... Cheesus! That blue wonder can run! I don't know anybody who could go that fast except maybe a Rapidash or somethin'! Those other two also move pretty fast.. Well, I'd better hurry to the castle before everybody beats the top cat around here! ME!

I heard the guy in red shout, but I ignored him. Why should I go to that castle? For all I know, it could be a trap. I didn't even know where I was, or if he was a friend. At least the blue blob-thing lost the copy of my outfit. That was pretty weird...

Mario was bringing all those weird people into the castle?! What was he thinking?! We didn't have any food ready, we weren't prepared for visitors!

Oh well. All I can do is hope they aren't enraged at the lack of hospitality. Sighing, I wandered back up the castle road ahead of everyone else.

I ran ahead, and I saw this lady walking on the road. Well, I figured I would save her some trouble and take her to the castle by the Sonic Express! I picked her up as I ran by, and when we reached the front of the castle, I set her down. "It was a pleasure to help you, miss!"

... Dang, that guy was FAST. He was already at the castle, and I wasn't even halfway there, yet! I watched a few others pass me. Geez, I gotta run more often.. I'm too slow as of right now!

"Man, I need to exercise," I panted as I struggled to keep up with the others. I was right behind the talking cat, and it looked like it was having trouble keeping up, too. Wait a minute, why should I be in a hurry?

"Pika!" shouted the yellow rat, who was now beside me. Its cheeks sparked with malice.

"What are you looking at?" I panted nervously. It smiled wickedly and shocked me in the butt. I ran to get away from it, blasting past all of the others. I was going to get Mario for dragging me in this.

Me and Tails caught up to Sonic, who was carrying some woman in his arms.
"So your still flirting with the girls huh?" I said.
"It's not like that!" Sonic replied, "I was just helping her!"
"Sure you were," Tails said, trying not to laugh.
"Not you too Tails."
"Well," I said, crossing my arms, "we may as well wait for the others." I leaned against a wall, Tails sat on a nearby chair and Sonic began pacing back and forth. This was ging to take a while.

For a while, we had waited. Soon, everybody was inside the place, which seemed quite magnifecent. I noticed the green elf guy wasn't with us, so I ran out, grabbed him, and ran back in, despite his yells of protest. I grinned. "Sorry pal, but if everybody comes, you're gonna come too." He only glowered at me. Stupid elf.

Everybody had caught up, and we were now in the castle. I figured it may be only a matter of time before I actually got a Pokemon from the crowd, so I figured it would be good to wait, sadly enough, and I saw the red plumber guy moving to the front. I yelled to him, "HEY! WOULD YOU MIND TELLING US WHAT IS GOING ON HERE?!" I heard yells of agreement from most. We all turned to the plumber, and awaited an answer.

After my morning meditation, I returned back to reality. My peaceful little island. Pokemon played near the crystal blue waters. Life was good.

But then a few of the Pokemon became nervous. Something was going wrong. Terribly wrong.

"What is happening?" I asked my Blastoise.
"The Rainbow." he said.

I flew at once to 'Rainbow'. Below me lay the Mushroom and BeanBean Kingdoms. Above me was the mystical Rainbow Road.

"Boy" I thought." I didn't know there would be so many people here". Well here goes nothing. "Ahem uh Im sure you all want to know why you are here, and well I'll try to explain it as best I can. you see there is this place called Rainbow Road, and Rainbow Road is what separates all of are relams from each others. And now someone named Bowser has broken Rainbow Road which caused all are relams to merge. Thats way we all ended up here. We need to fix the unbalance in the relams. And the only way to do this is to find these things called Star pieces and use the star rod to repair Rainbow Road. And the only way to find these items is to win kart races and challange bosses and earn the star pieces. And if we don't fix Rainbow Road, WE ARE ALL DOOMED!!!! Any questions?"

Aw, shoot! There’s no profit to this! But I’ll get a chance to get back at Bowser, plus all of these weirdos can go back if we do this. I looked back at the yellow rodent and shivered. Especially that weirdo.

I turned to the plumber and decided to comment on something. "We do we have to use karts? Why can't I just run?" I grinned. No kart could outrun Sonic the Hedgehog!

"Sonic, plumber. My name's Sonic the Hedgehog."

"Very well then Mr. Sonic. And don't call me 'plumber'. I'm Mario!"

Mario, huh? Well this guy sure thought HE had a lot of authority.. No running... Pah! Why not? I could get all these peieces back EASILY! But, whatever the man says, I suppose... Bring on the karts!

Driving? We had to race to return everything to normal? What gives? No epic adventure? No thrilling sequences? No drama-- Well, I could live without that easily. Well, he did mention baddies, so I suppose that it could be fun at some point.. I decided to get some fresh air while everybody was jabbering at once. When I stepped outside, I notice something flying near the smashed up Road. When I looked closer, it looked a lot like...

"Karts huh? It's been a while since I piloted anything ground based." i mumbled
"Huh? What do you mean?" asked a guy dressed in a weird green costume.
"A Kart. I'm more used to flying. It's usually ourt eam leader who goes in with the different vehicles, the rest of us stick to the skies."
"You have contraptions that let you fly?" he asked again. I rolled my eyes.
"Look.."
"Link"
"Yeah, whatever. I realise that we all come from different places, but tell me you're level of technology is higher than swords and shields."
He tilted his head, looked at me for a moment then shook his head "What's wrong with a Sword and Shield?"
"Nothing at all." I turned away "Unless you're being shot at by high energy pulse lasers" I growled under my breath.



Slippy Toad

"Slippy." Falco asked, turning to me "What do you think the chances are of you rustling up some karts?"
"Well, i'd have to check the regulation kart sizes tha are being entered into this event, but with the right equipment, I think we could be in with a good chance. I might have to borrow some parts from the Landmaster though."
"Well don't worry about that" Falco said again "I don't think Fox was too keen on that monsterous machine anyway."
"Hey.. I worked hard on that thing!"
"Yes, but you didn't give it any shields Slippy. When you got stuck on Titania, it was down to me and Peppy to get Fox from being blown up."
"Have you two finished squabbling?" asked the hedgehog, who called himself Sonic.
"For now." Falco said and turned away.
"He's always like that." I explained "but he's nice deep down."

When I got there I saw a Blue streak head for the castle. That's were I need to go.

I looked around the castle. The main hallway was empty. I began to listen to the echos of voices with my head.

Slowly I lifted myself off the groud and began to find the voices. Around dozens of corners and through many more rooms. I saw the throneroom. Oh how good it would feel to be in power again. A sudden chill ran through me. That part was over now. At least I hope it was.

I managed to find the voices. They had made their way outside. They mumbled about karts and doom. Doom, what a great four letter word.

I chuckled a bit and wiped my eyes. "Oh, nothing, Tails, nothing..." I looked back at Mario. "Yo! Where do ya got a garage around here? If we want to get the Road put back together, we gotta get to work on building our karts, don't we?"

I agreed with the hedgehog! "Yeah! He's right! The sooner the better, right?!" I stamped my foot on the ground upon closing my sentence. We had to hurry! I gotta get back to Jesse and James! they're probably getting promoted already!

... I chuckled. Those two? Promoted? Without MY help? On second thought, I don't care how long this took, as long as I got out alive. "Let's get to work then! Who's with me?!"
