Who would win? Mewtwo V.S. Deoxys!

I thought about this kind of discussion, but I don't recall seeing anything like this before. Correct me if I'm wrong if there was a thread like this before.

My Deoxys is almost as powerful, even more, than my Mewtwo! But I don't know who would win in a battle. (If Mewtwo was a lower level as Deoxys. Or if Deoxys had higher stats...)

My Deoxys is at Lv40, and has NOT been trained with a Macho Brace before. It is totally unbeatable against my other Pokemon. Their stats are nothing compared to its raw power!

But, compared to my current Mewtwo, it's almost as strong (if Mewtwo were at Lv40). My Mewtwo is at Lv100, and it's on my Ruby as well. I sharked an egg as a Mewtwo (just like one of my friends did), and raised it from Lv5 to Lv100. This Mewtwo of mine has a ultimately, raw brute strength. It has been trained with a Macho Brace 100% fully. I got the egg and hatched it on Sapphire, and traded Mewtwo to Ruby.

Mewtwo would own Deoxys anyday. Mewtwo has all-round great base stats, Deoxys' HP and defenses are VERY BAD.

I think that Mewtwo would win. As stated before it's stats are bette, but it is true it's speed is no match to Deoxy's. Though true it would get 1 HitKO'd with Shadow ball, I think it's still a toss up between the two.

if Deoxys has an anti-Mewtwo set, it will destroy Mewtwo, probably before Mewtwo even gets a chance to attack. as for sets that would be used for competitive play (if 00bers were allowed), Mewtwo should be able to outlast Deoxys due to Deoxys having virtually no defensive/HP stats

if deoxys fights mewtwo, it wouldn't need + speed, so adamant would work.

w/o choice band: 438 attack, 80 BP x2, 216 defense = 233-274 damage... factor in CB and it OHKOs mewtwo w/o a lot of HP evs.

no CB, 279 defense = 180-212 damage, percentage depends on HP evs.

no CB, 306 defense = 165-194 damage

but... the average deoxys tend to have 252 in attack/speed & adamant personality w/cb although some dont, uber battles are sparce... anywhos, and mewtwos also have sweeper-like ep distros (meaning theyd have 216 defense & 354 hp-extra 6 in hp...)

meaning deoxys would factor in a MINIMUM dmg of 351... meaning the odds of mewtwo living are slim to none...

but alas... odds say a smarter person would beef up there mewtwo to survive guaranteed... wich would require either 236 eps in hp, or (assuming you ignored the 1 point in hp to put into defense) 152 into defense... overall id probably mix it up a bit with something like 76 in hp & 96 in defense... to guarantee survival of adamant deoxys choice band, allow an overall slight defense increase compared to one or the other for getting the most out of your eps pound for pound (so to speak)... as compared to say... 56 in defense & 140 in hp... wich would guarantee survival but uses 196 points, as opposed to 172... of course 152 would be the least (but its all in defense... and that wont help you apart from deoxys... ) oh well...

so plainly put... you can make a mewtwo to be able to beat deoxys... (i wont bother trying to make a deoxys suited for mewtwo beating apart from cb shadow ball as it is relatively weak defensively...) but in a general scenario, met in a dark pokemon alley kind of thing... deoxys would win

if you're using the CB set, then focus punch over brick break, and you could throw in psycho boost for one time use.

If Mewtwo had Counter and enough hp and defense, Deoxys would be doomed. If Deoxys had an anti-Mewtwo set, It might get destroyed by other Pokemon easily. It depends on evs, nature, and moveset

the point is deoxys standard set works fine for anti mewtwos... youd have to make an anti-deoxys set for mewtwo to win... so mewtwo will win if you make him to destroy deoxys, but deoxys (on its own...) beats the standard mewtwos... it is irrefutable...

anti deoxys mewtwo > deoxys
deoxys > mewtwo (both boring standard 'dark alley' kinda match up...)

you dont need to make an antimewtwo deoxys... its the same thing as a boring normal deoxys,
