Quick question: what in your opinion is the best OBTAINABLE fire pokemon in RS apart from combusken and why?

so Torkoal, Camerupt, Magcargo, Ninetails and anyone else who i've forgotten.

In my opinion, Ninetails.

Camerupt is the best ingame because it learns so many strong, offensive attacks on its own; the best on an actual team is probably Ninetales, though Torkoal can be a decent tank. Poor old Magcargo.

I don't see what's so wrong about Magcargo. 4x weaknesses never stopped people from using Gyarados and Salamence.

Magcargo has a lot going for it, actually... it has the resistances of the Rock-type with high defense to boot, not to mention Flame Body and the ability to use Reflect and Light Screen. Magcargo is pretty good support, actually.

I guess people dont mind a 4x weakness but they draw the line when it has two 4x weaknesses (ground and water)

in addition magcargo has a craptacular speed stat, and its offense is bettered by many, not to mention a bad attacking movepool
