Manectric

With the following two Pokemon, I really don't want to go with any other personality. I just need to know if the moves are alright.
Absol
Personality: Adamant (+Attack, -SpAttack)
Swords Dance
Iron Tail
Slash
Hyper Beam (thinking about going Aerial Ace instead)
Manectric
Personality: Modest (+SpAttack, -Attack)
Thunder Bolt
Thunder Wave
Crunch (good old Poochyena)
?????????????
If you have any suggestions for better moves, I will be very happy...
Absol
Shadow Ball
Return/Double-Edge
Swords Dance
Aerial Ace/Taunt/Baton Pass
@Leftovers.
Manectric
Thunderbolt
Thunder Wave
Crunch
HP Water, Ice, or Grass/Toxic
@Leftovers.

I like the idea of having Shadowball, but I don't think there is a way I can get it onto my Absol... I wasted the TM on a Gardevior I was training until I got my Jirachi. Is there anything that learns shadow ball on it's own and can mate with Absol?
There is also a bit of conflicting ideas on the reply.... I KNOW you can't have two pokemon with leftovers.. there is only one in the entire game... plus neither of them will need it...
Hmm... if you can't get another TM30 (Shadow Ball), then maybe try Return/Swords Dance/Aerial Ace/Baton Pass on Absol. About the Leftovers, you can get more by beating the 7 trainers in a row in the Battle Tower (once your record there is high). Leftovers is almost always the hold item of choice for any Pokémon... it is always very useful and there's really not much else that these 2 Pokémon could hold that would make much of a difference in battle.Originally posted by SoulBurner

JAA National Finalist
avatar by Yukitsukai... more sig coming soon!
I ended up going:
Swords Dance
Aerial Ace
HP Ghost (got lucky with that one)
Iron Tail
I also gave it a Shell Bell... it doesn't really have enough Hit points to really have a purpose for leftovers... plus it does massive damage with its 300+ attack rating
thanx for the help though
Absol@Leftovers/Shell bell/Bleh
Sword Dance
Ariel Ace
Brick Break
Shadow Ball
Manetric@Leftovers/Shell bell/KingsRock
Thunderbolt
Roar
Crunch/Bite
Thunder Wave

Thunder
Hidden Power *Water*/Thunder Wave
Crunch
Rain Dance
You only need a Thunder Wave on a Manectric if its ability is Lightningrod...
For Absol, keep Bite, but the rest of the moves on mine are physical.
Shadow Ball
Aerial Ace
Slash
For Manectric, I'd prefer Bite. Why? Well, from the word "Go", Manectric is a fast Pokemon. It'll flinch its opponents. Why not Crunch? Well, say if you were going against a Gyarados. If Gyarados had a full Double Team maxed out on it, it would use Earthquake. You tried to attack it with Thunderbolt etc., but it misses... Even if you tried hitting it with Bite, and it connects, it could cause Gyarados not to attack you that turn it uses Earthquake. You dig?
I know that Crunch is very powerful, but the statement I just gave is reasonable, but keep it in mind. Using Crunch will sooner or later drop the foe's special defense, making it more powerful if used again and again.
Try having both Bite and Crunch on Manectric. It doesn't learn a wide variety of moves like Mew.
Spark (instead of Thunder Wave) damages and has a higher chance of paralyze.
Secret Power is also what I use to mess around most of the time.
And/or Thunderbolt is also good.
I don't agree with a single thing you said. Kid, go with the other advise. You'd be better off.Originally posted by Saturos

I don't feel a need to say anything more though, you alreay have some great suggestions on sets and I'd just be repeating what others said.
