I spy... Max, from the anime!

I just noticed that in Littleroot Town, that the one little boy outside is Max. I chose Brendan as my main character, and the little boy stays outside May's house. I've tried going to Petalburg City, to find another little boy with glasses. There is one, but he's taller than the one from Littleroot.

The one in Littleroot Town has dark green/blue hair, but the one in Petalburg has dark blue hair...

Did anyone notice this before? Do you think that the boy is Max (Masato)?

How do you know that his name is Max? He doesn't tell you.

Is the second one in the house on the southeast side? If so, he says "I've battled NORMAN once, but, whew, he was way too strong." Isn't Max too young to battle or even have Pokemon at all?

Hmm I don't think so, although you do put up a good point. If anything, Masato/Max was based off that type of trainer, umm is it Schoolboy's they're called? The anime and the Games don't always link together like that, but you do get the Peeled Peepers award

No, if you picked Brendan as the main character, the little boy outside of your Rival's house looks like Max.

The little boy asks you, "Are you going to catch Pokemon? Good luck!"

The boy is in Littleroot. He's outside the top right house. You can't miss the little guy.

I see him. I guess the cartoon writers were looking for someone a little younger for the viewers younger than ten-years-old to relate to, so they used the Schoolboy character as inspiration.

I don't really think that boy is Masato, since when you choose Yuuki/Ruby, you are Senri's (Norman) son, as opposed to the cartoon where Haruka/Sapphire is his daughter.

I noticed that as soon as I got the game, but I didn't know his name was Max until just recently.
