Default Need help EVing my Gyarados..

Currently working on my team, and already finished doing the EV to three of them, but seriously, I don't know what to give to Gyarados (Magikarp at the moment)

I was thinking of boosting it's attack to the max, 255.. maybe Speed to attack faster?

One question though: I have this moveset:

    Earthquake, Torment, Flail, Dragon Dance.

It learns Flail on lvl 30. by being Magikarp, but the thing can evolve on level 20. Is it worth it to keep it Magikarp till lvl 30. to obtain this move? Thanks!

I think that I may have a better moveset for Gyarados:

    Dragondance, Flail, Aerial Ace, Earthquake

Aerial Ace get's stab.. pretty much damage yes?

Can Gyarados even learn Aerial Ace?

I was under the impression that the only flying move he could learn was HP Flying.

Oh, sorry, I really thought Gyarados could learn Aerial Ace, guess I was wrong..

But, could somebody help me out with this, cause the EV thing for Gyarados is really annoying..

You can try to breed up an HP Flying\Rock Gyarados - Magikarp eggs don't take very long to hatch. As for the rest of the moves, give it Taunt over Torment and you're set.

Also, give Gyarados 252 effort points in Attack and Speed and 6 in HP. Maxing it out to 255 is a waste, because those last three points go to waste (it takes four effort points to make a difference).

Thanks, though I already bred the Magikarp..

So I might pick Double-Edge over Flail, it learns Double-Edge in Fire Red/Leaf Green.. might do some heavy damage.
